The staff at breakfast time was amazing ~ Ahmet ~ Head Waiter was very kind and caring. I had my two grandchildren with me who loved the pancakes °•☆▪︎.... x The hotel was very clean and the rooms were spotless. The cleaners were polite. I would recommend this hotel its close to everything

It was nice, clean and quite all the time, breakfast was very good and Staff was helpful specially when I lost my suite case locker's key they helped me to break the locker. All in all I would difenetly stay again.

The hotel was only 1/2 mile from the Askaray Metro Station. I walked to the hotel and found it straight away. It is also located only 1 mile walking distance from the Blue Mosque. Plenty of shops, cafes, and attractions along the way, including a Starbucks. The hotel was in great condition and very clean but my room was extremely small, less than 3 feet clearance on two sides of the bed while the other two sides were tucked against the wall. The mattress was very hard an uncomfortable. The TV had over 800 channels and only about ten were in English. You can't walk around and tour all day, at least not at 53 years of age, so it would be nice to have more English TV options. The Wife worked well at times, and not so well at others. The staff spoke very good English and were very helpful.

I have visited several hotels and Prestige Hotel is a nice hotel the staff is friendly... It in the middle of shopping center.
You can walk along to sultan ahmed and the Grand Bazar. Metro station is few steps away.

the hotel was great.my room was having some kind of construction done to it and a maintenance man had to come and fix some power outlets. the night staff how ever was very very rude and unpleasant. when i left my room at about 3am with my camera a man ran outside and demanded i return to the hotel and tell him what room i was in and who i was i REFUSED. then upon my return to the hotel a similar situation ensued both times me refusing on the principles of since i dont look like your NORMAL guest you choose to harass me. NO I DONT THINK SO.

Hotel Prestige is excellent - highly recommend it

The location is perfect, the personnel is delightful, courteous, professional, helpful, and very sweet and friendly.
We were so close to everything, even from the airport to the hotel it was only 20 minutes and a great ride in the subway and tram.
I do special recommend this hotel to everybody who is not picky and who is down to earth and also people who are experienced travelers not demanding first class service.
Turkey is a very technological advance country, especially here in istambul and in this hotel.
we had great free WI-Fi internet, great TV stations from all over the world in any language you want to hear, and the showers were superb with lots of hot water and nice towels.The maid cleaned our room every day and did a superb job.
My ADVICE TO YOU ALL WHO WANT TO COME OVER TO ISTAMBUL, is NOT to bring any clothes at all. You come here to shop because Turkey has the best and inexpensive first quality cashmere dresses, coats, shorts, pants and real leather shoes for one third the price of the USA. I really love this place and this hotel made me feel very welcome, everybody wanted to do something for me. Breakfast was good too, but if you want to eat variety you can go outside and pay. Their breakfast is a good value for your money.

Well-intentioned not bad

Problem with wifi two nights; a little cold; rooms are small but ok; neighborhood is so-so at night; but easy tram and leisurely walk to main areas of city. Staff eager to please but more Russia than anglophone oriented. Breakfast buffet rather filling and varied, though juices were very industrial tasting. Laundry service high priced (as expected) but overdid chemicals, beware.

Not much prestige at the Prestige hotel Istanbul

The street outside the hotel was having major reconstruction work. Had to walk over sand, mud and rubble avoiding mechanical diggers to reach the hotel entrance. Taxi couldn't get anywhere near.
The entrance lobby was dowdy, dark and in need of refurbishment and redecoration. The dining room needed demolishing and rebuilding more substantially - the roof was corrugated plastic. The swimming pool on the roof garden was like a large plastic paddling pool surrounded by an arrangement of false grass and a few pots of flowers. All in all, lucky we had a sense of humour.

not so good points: the street in front of the hotel is being made up, so is a building site really. also, even though the hotel is non-smoking, the room had a faint smell of smoke still.

good points: clean. nice clean bathroom with plenty hot water. room/beds made up daily. very very friendly staff. only 2mins walk from nearest tram station. ok breakfast.

overall: good value for money (booked as expedia secret hotel). don't be put off by negative reviews

Excellent staff and a hotel on the up

We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2012. The best thing bar far are the excellent staff: extremely pleasant, welcoming and helpful. A good number of them speak English. The bathroom in our room was clearly recently modernised with high quality fixtures and fitttings. It was clear that improvements and updates were ongoing at the hotel. There is a good choice of breakfast foods. Overall we were happy with our stay here.

staff know nothing. they are unhelpful.
they look for money only and the quaqlity is really pooring.
hotel is not comfortable at all.
rooms are uncleaned and small.

We got two connecting rooms for a family of 4 though we had booked a family room. The extra bathrrom was a bonus. The hotel rooms were priced well. About 15 minute walk to the old city landmarks eg Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Santa Sofia etc. Tram Station and busstops were at the street corner. Great breakfast.

Check your reservation

Overall the hotel was clean and the service was good. When I first checked in, I was given a single room, I had to go back and review my reservation that said double room. Only then did they change my room. When they talk about a pool, it is little more then a large bathtub. It was conviently located, only 20 minutes from the blue mosque, and there is a tram stop close by.

Prestige Hotel in Istanbul

Prestige hotel put its best foot forward for our visit. Their staff seek to be as professional as possible, though a low ability in English causes their earnest performance to be lest convincing.

All in all the hotel is very nice. The room facilities are sleek and modern. Breakfast is done in the traditional Turkish style, which is not for everyone, but is fair. The location is very good. Though it could be closer to the Sultanahmet area, it is not too far away. Still, you would not want to choose a hotel further from the main attractions.

I stayed there once, I will not go there again.

The service by the staff nice and friendly. The breakfast was nice but nothing special.
Room cleanliness was just about OK, well the bathroom very small.
The laundry service did let me down alot, the laundry man mixed my dark and light clothes and washed them together resulting to my clothes having dark stains on them, and when I complained the laundry man denied his mistake.
Also the room did have air conditioner but it seemed like it was not working the room was still hot. and the matress on the bed was hard it gave me bad back while I was there, I did'nt bother complaining too much to the hotel staff as they did not speak english well to understand.
The hotel is just about okay, but I would'nt reccomend this hotel for anyone to stay in. I'm sure there are better hotels in Istanbult than Prestige.

It was very bad experiance, starting from the Air condition ( which is not working), till knocking and opening your door at the mid nights.

I call Expedia by day two of my staying at the hotel to change the hotel.

Advise to any one please change it to any other hotel.

OK its not Not the Ritz..... but great value and a stones throw from all the sites!!

I had read all the reviews before booking so my expectations were lowered beforehand but we were in Istanbul for four days and we had a pretty busy itinery so as long as the rooms were clean for us to sleep and freshen up that would be fine.
I have to say I was plesently surprised. The hotel was not noisy (however we were on the 5th floor), the staff were pleasent and the bed linen and towels were changed everyday day unless we requested not to. Ok it not five star luxury and you are sorrounded by shops on exit but when your in a busy city like Istanbul with loads to do and see anyone the stays in their hotel all day shouldn't really go to this city at all.
That said, the free Wi-fi internet was very handy when back in the room the catch up on emails, sport and news and check out what was going on in the city for the next day. We went during the film festival In April and their was a number of events going on in town so along with the historical sites there was plenty to do. Istanbul was awarded the European city of culture 2010 and we had a great time and Prestige Hotel did not spoil that in any way. Overall verdict value for money but definately not slumming it!!

\"Less than\" Prestige Hotel

The picture of the hotel was very nice and it was the \"recommended\" hotel from [...]. Other than the friendly night staff, I'm still struggling to find a positive... The hotel air conditioning wasn't operational, but since it was in a loud section of town, you had to either open the window and deal with very loud conditions or live in a dirty sweat box. The bathrooms (we booked two rooms) were both dirty and water poured out of the toilet tank each time it was flushed. Don't book tours through the hotel. The day staff made up an excuse that each tour must pay for at least four people - and pay in cash. When on the tour, we coming to believe that the hotel staff pocketed the additional money.The advertised pool was closed and there was no where for our kids to hang out. We booked for 6 days through [...] and left after three days. It was better to be at home than to be stuck in this hotel for three more days...

What a place!

In a good way of course.

So much to see and do - Bosphorous Cruse, Belly dancers, visit the Mosques, Museums, Topkapi palace, Turkish Baths and massage, teh Grand bazaar and the spice bazaar - that was my week!

Istanbul is the European capital of culture this year, so there is plenty of restoration work taking place now, should be even better later in the year!

You get what you pay for

All personnel \"bend over backwards\" to help. So much so that you forgive any other hotel shortcommings.
Very noisy surroundings, so make sure to have room as high as possible.
If you are not a muslim, It helps if you are a \"deep sleeper\" so as not to be disturbed by the early morning prayers.
Clean, organized, rich breakfast buffet.
You get your money's worth

The are is not very good and somehow dangerous. the hotel is not well maintained and is very old. You can hear anything from the hallway (the ladies that clean up the room for example). Loudest hotel in the World

This hotel is very loud. The maids started cleaning and yelling outside the room around 7 AM (every morning). When they cleaned the room, they only made the beds and brought new towels, nothing else. The street noise started at 8 AM and went to 11 PM and the windows and walls are paper thin. The rooms need to be updated. They bed was extremely firm. The staff was not very friendly or helpful. Breakfast was terrible.

Facilement accessible . Le petit plus c est petit déjeuner compris dans l hébergement.
Mais ils n' ont pas respecté avantages VIP access( aucune boisson offerte pendant tout le sejour de 5 nuit. Ni le choix de la chambre vue sur la ville sous prétexte que l hôtel était plein.

Location is 750m from Grand Bazaar, 1.6km from blue mosque... yet tram station is just 100m away and Airport bus station (Line 7) is about 700m away!
