So …. Check in was a nightmare . I have checked in on my Canadian driver license many times to all hotels booked on Expedia in last 10 years , except this one . When I got there they said they won’t honor my Canadian driver license as they need “dowód osobisty “ in Canada that’s our driver license . I think it would be very helpful if that is mentioned in their check in policies . Also … it was advertised for 3 people as room with pull out couch we got some child size pull out love sit . It was not what I pick when I booked . It was disappointing . Also for room booked for 3 adults we got 2 pouches of instant coffee , 2 tea , 2 shampoos . Someone is not washing hair and not drinking coffee . It is not a cheap
Hotel , but delivery of service sure was . 3 stars as the girl at the front desk was lovely .

We were placed into an annex on the far side of the car park away from the main building. The rooms while clean were quite small, also had recently refurbished internal bathrooms but with no ventilation. The weather was very warm and we struggled to sleep in very hot rooms without air conditioning so had to sleep with the windows open which meant we suffered with noise from passing traffic, people and plagued by mosquitoes from the nearby canal. The rooms are probably more suitable for staying during winter months when you can keep the windows closed but not comfortable in summer or during warm weather. The staff were very friendly, helpful and prompt when replacing the broken down fridge. Breakfasts were reasonable with lovely cakes and pastries but eggs were always overcooked. Also provided gluten free bread for my wife who is celiac. Loved the location near the raising footbridge and big wheel and easy access for the old town some 5 minutes walk away, also has great views of the river and city. Hotel is only let down by lack of (necessary) air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Overall disappointing.

Reception staff were helpful. My low star rating is no reflection on them. However ............

My room was not cleaned until 16:00 or later almost every day, most unusual in my experience of staying in hotels.

Tap in bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks and certainly not while I was there. A quick wipe with a wet cloth would have been helpful.

Corridor doors were open 24 hours, held open with fire extinguishers. It may or may not be against Health and Safety Laws in Poland, as it is in most other European countries but it is very bad practice. If there were to be a fire the consequences could be devastating. Expedia and other like companies have an obligation to their clients/customers NOT to use hotels who carry out this practice. I WILL visit Gdansk again (this was my second visit). It is a wonderful city. With so may good hotels available I can only hope for better luck next time.

Upon checking in to the room we found dirty socks on the floor and huge spiders walking around on the walls. AC would have been nice as it was very hot in the summer. However, the hotel is in a good area and easily walkable to anywhere in Gdańsk.

The biggest minus is the lack of air condition in the room. The room was red hot when we arrived. We received a portable fan but still hot in the room, especially in the night. Another one is 2 separate buildings, so you dont know in which you are staying before bokings.

It was disappointing that we were in the annexe away from the Marina, (there was no mention of an annexe when booking). This newly built building had no air con (they did provide a fan) and the plugs were mostly inaccessible!! It was therefore not possible to plug in a fan as well as charge more than one mobile phone. However there is parking, the breakfast was generous and staff were friendly.

It is an okay hotel

The picture of the hotel showed that it was right on the river, but there are two separate buildings and we were in the separate building with a view of the parking lot. There was no air conditioning! The location wasn’t great either. Everything you want to see is at least half a mile walk across bridges. The breakfast was quite amazing though! The staff was very helpful! Overall, it was a good hotel, but I will stay at another hotel that is not on that specific little island next time I visit Gdańsk.

Easy access to Old Town and canal front restaurants. Staff in the breakfast restaurant were kind and friendly and did a very good job cleaning tables and replenishing the buffet. Room was a little small but nicely renovated. Some plumbing work going on around the outside of the hotel with trenches and piles of dirt not nice. Standard rooms in a separate building behind the main building which I didn't know about.

Bring mosquito nets and double check hotel block!

Check in was at 3pm which is a bit late but is what it is. We were under the impression that we would be staying in the main building (pictures of the main part) but was instead staying in another hotel block 30 seconds away. Room was a bit small but was okay. Only thing I can knock was the rooms were like a sauna, And leaving windows open by the canal in the summer left 100’s of mosquitoes coming in. I did ask for a fan at reception and got one but my god an air conditioning unit or insect nets are an absolute must during the summer months!

I was charged double the standard rate for the hotel room which I realized when I checked out and saw the normal rates. When I queries the receptionist for the reason why I am paying double the normal rates she responded by saying I booked the last room available on my first night stay. I unfortunately was in a rush to the airport so was unable to argue the point. Beware of this hotel.

Fantastic views

Old refurbished granary. Older motel. Clean, comfortable. Historical. Good breakfast and restaurant. Good value. On opposite side of river to main town and tourist attractions, and a bit of a trek to get to bridge to cross over, boat available to get you across but doesn't run very often.Gives you a great view of the town. Extra bed we required for 3rd person was a couch/divan, but ok. Gdansk an amazing place to visit. Highly recommend.

Central location - excellent position for Old Town

Stayed five days and during this time I couldn't fault the hotel, location, restaurant, evening meal, breakfast and the staff were helpful, attentive, helpful, resourceful and spoke good English. Certainly will revisit again. There was a small ferry circa 100m from the hotel that cut out a 500m walk and cost 1.5zl per ride (25p) and ran from 10:00-16:00hrs. Excellent restaurant on the top floor of the Crane Museum overlooking the river and marina if you wanted to eat outside with set lunch time menu 21zl.

Good hotel, shame about the staff.

This hotel is in an ideal location but is let down by the staff. If the staff were more professional the hotel could make a fortune. We eat out on all but one night because of the lack of professionalism of the waiting staff. We would have enjoyed more drinks on the terrace too if the staff could be bothered to take orders. The staff need a good course in customer service and then the hotel would make a good living as it's location is great.

Amazing. Room was fantastic with view of the river. Hotel was spotless and staff very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was really nice with good selection of cold items, hot sausage, eggs, fresh breads and good coffee. Hotel is located about 10 mins walk from main street/area but well worth the walk. Had a wonderful stay and would definately come back again.

Located in an old granary, it is very picturesque from the outside. Our room was on the small side and the bathroom was very small. The breakfast buffet was included in the price and had a nice selection. The hotel had no public lounge to speak of.

Great small hotel by the river in Gdansk!

Great hotel, very nice breakfast buffet with excellent coffee, friendly and helpful staff, peaceful neighborhood, free WiFi, ironing board quickly on demand brought to your room,... all in all, a great stay. A bit off from the pedestrian walkway in the middle of the old town on the otherside of the river, about 15 minutes walk, but otherwise the location was great since the view to the river was pleasant and the surrounding area calm. Definitely would recommend this small but elegant hotel. Definitely worth more than 3 stars.

Great hotel in Gdansk

Very clean and modern hotel in a converted granary we stayed in a riverside room which had outstanding views of the river and Gdansk. The hotel is situated on an island, because of this it is about a 15 minute stroll into the city centre but this is no problem as there is a great bar at the Hotel Gdansk on the way. We found the staff at the Krolewski to be very courteous,friendly and helpful without exception and the included buffet breakfast was excellent with an excellent variety of food (including egg & bacon) on offer. The only small complaint I have with the Krolewski is the lack of coffee making facilities in the room or the lobby making it difficult to get a hot drink if returning later in the evening, but overall an excellent hotel I would reccomend to anybody.

The check in experience was what let this hotel down, arriving after midnight and the 3rd bed not made up or ready as we had 2 young children with us.

Das Hotel ist ganz gut gelegen. Die Zimmer Größe ist okay es gibt zu wenig Ablage Möglichkeiten, mini kühlschrank ok wenn er richtig kühlen würde. Den koffer muss man auf den einzigen Stuhl legen der dann vor dem Kleiderschrank steht. Licht im bad ist ständig an geht nicht aus. Gardine muss ausgetauscht werden.

Positive: Bed was comfortable, bathroom had everything we needed and it was very clean. The room had coffee, tea, water, bathroom kit, sewing kit. Our room was silent and had a nice view. Breakfast was great.
Negative: No air conditioning, so we had to keep the windows open. Room was very hot. Thats why there were a lot of bugs in the room. There were also 2 spiders, and there were lot of spiders web in the ceiling. Curtains were also dirty.

Hotelli oli siisti ja erityisen hyvällä sijainnilla. :-) Aamupala oli hyvä. Check-in onnistui myös yöaikaan, kun lentomme oli viivästynyt.
Miinuksena ilmastoinnin puuttuminen, huoneessa varsinkin yöllä todella kuuma kesällä.
Suihkusta tuli myös vain kuumaa tai kylmää vettä, ei mitään siltä väliltä.

Ok for a few nights

We were three friends staying for two nights. Not the best location overall, but the hotel was located close to restaurants and bars and ok walking distance to the Old Town snd Forum Shopping mall (ca. 13-15min walk).

I specifically booked a room with a queen sized bed and one single bed, but we got a queen sized bed and a sleeping sofa instead, which is definately a con.

The staff was friendly and helpfull. We did not try the breakfast unfortunately.
The room was spacious and overall clean although there were cobweb in the high corners and we had to take down a living spider as well.
We could easily hear the neighbour room, when being in our bathroom, which was a down side, but not an issue when being in the main room.

Overall an ok hotel for two nights, but would probably try another hotel for another trip to Gdansk.

Perfekt placering midt i hjertet af Gdansk

Mega god placering, lige midt i old Town. Tæt på alting.
Værelset var lidt klemt. Man kunne kun lige klemme sig forbi enden af sengen for at komme ud på et virkeligt flot stort badeværelse.
Betjeningen var meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Men spurgte vi om råd eller anvisninger til feks spa/massage eller andet attraktivt at opleve kunne de ikke hjælpe.
Morgenmads buffeten var mega god og velsmagende. Der var alt hvad man kunne ønske sig at spise. Meget flinke tjenere, altid i godt humør.

Vores værelse lå som det første ud for indgangen, så ingen mulighed for udluftning pga cigaretrøg lige ud for vinduerne + støj hele natten fra alle som kom og gik. Som helhet var vistelsen tillfredställande. Rummet var stort (Family Quad Room) städningen var bra och vi fick hela tiden påfyllt vatten. Precis som vi läst fick vi gå över till en annan byggnad, men det större oss inte.

Vi fick rum med utsikt över kanalen, på gott och ont. Det var höga temperaturer (ca 30-35 Celsius) och då rummet saknade AC blev det oerhört varmt och vi kunde knappt sova. Vi tänkte vädra men då kom det istället in mängder av mygg. Till andra natten fick vi åtminstone en fläkt, men det gjorde inte tillräckligt.

Frukosten var oftast ok men vid ett tillfälle såg vi myror springa på faten. Med tanke på priset borde det vara bättre.

Läget går inte att klaga på, det är fantastiskt. Men håll koll på klockan då närmsta gångbro öppnas varje halvtimme.

Sammanfattningsvis så om du åker under högsommar så välj ett annat hotell med AC. Annars är det ett prisvärt alternativ med bra rum i fantastiskt läte. Frukosten för dyr men ok.

Flott, nyoppusset rom i den nye bygningen på andre siden av hovedbygget. Veldig god plassering som er nærme det fleste. Badet var stort og romslig, men rommet hadde ikke AC som gjorde det veldig varmt når temperaturen ute var på rundt 30 grader. De ansatte var heller ikke veldig hjelpsomme

The hotel had some construction work all around it and was slightly tricky to enter, we were then sent to a hotel across the street that looked better (the same hotel but different building). Super nice and helpful staff, great room, beautiful view from the window, spacious and clean, modern. The only negative would be that there were huge spider webs on the window (outside, not on the inside). I would stay here again, the location is also fantastic!

2 bémols :
1- personnel à la réception très désagréable qui débite son discours sans s'assurer que vous avez bien compris et aucune présence pour le départ. Rien à faire de la satisfaction client.
2- aucune mention sur le site que l'hébergement se fait pour Expedia dans un bâtiment annexe.

Chambre dans une annexe ( rue à traverser). Confortable et propre. Par contre aucune insonorisation et lit placé devant la fenêtre. Petit déjeuner remarquable ! Accueil moyennement aimable à l'arrivée.

Vi ble mottatt av en lite serviceinnstilt resepsjonist som virket å ha dårlig tid. Vi fikk nøklene til rommet og fikk beskjed om at vi skulle sove i et annet bygg. Vi fikk ingen beskrivelse om hvor bygget lå, men ble bare vinket avgårde.
Etter litt leting fant vi bygget og kom oss inn på rommet. Rommet var rent og moderne, men ganske lite. Vi hadde utsikt til elven og store vinduer som kunne åpnes helt opp!
Litt dårlig med trykk i dusjen, men alt i alt var rommet bra og vi sov veldig godt.

Da vi sjekket ut ble vi tatt godt imot og ønsket god tur hjem.

Bortsett fra en litt vinglete start var hotellet absolutt å anbefale!

Ca 5 min gange til gamlebyen.

Hyfsat hotell, frukost hyfsad men inte fantastisk, låg service i receptionen, där fanns en trött människa som var helt värdelös, nonchalant och rent av otrevlig. Vid förfrågan om något närliggande shoppingkvarter svarade individen att hon hade ingen aning och bad mig höra på nåt annat hotell, vilken attityd. Botten!

Helt ok!

Mysigt hotell inrett i en gammal lagerbyggnad, helt ok standard med sängarna knakade vilket inte är ok på en romantisk weekend :) Frukosten va inte fantastisk, och retauerangen öde på kvällen. Men läget är jättefint trots byggarbetsplatsen utanför, kort promenad över till den gamla delen av centrum. Återvända..? nej, inte till detta hotellet. Finns säkert bättre till samma peng.

L'hotel est assez vieillot. Le mobilier old fashion. A 15 min a pieds du centre historique. Pas de salle de gym. La connexion est ok. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est moyen. Pas extraordinaire. Trop cher pour ce que c'est.

Hotel bardzo ładny. bardzo dobra obsługa personelu. polecam pokoje z widokiem na rzekę / starówkę. Główną zaleta hotelu jest jego położenie - wszędzie blisko na pieszo. Ogólna ocena 4 ponieważ podczas pory obiadowej pani kierownik restauracji/hotelu zrobiła zebranie z pracownikami w restauracji, mocno krytykując swoich pracowników, co wszystko było słychać w całej restauracji i bardzo nas to zestresowało.

Sääli, että loistavalla paikalla sijaitsevan entisen upean suosikkihotellimme palvelutaso on romahtanut. Premium-huoneessamme premiumia oli vain näköala, ei saippuaa, kaksi pientä vesipulloa vain saapumispäivänä, ravintolassa ei tarjoiltu hotellivieraille yllättäen yhtenä iltana yksityistilaisuuden takia... Onneksi Gdanskissa riittää hotelleja... Kunnollisesti hoidettuna tämä hotelli olisi kultakaivos.
