Located on the pedestrian part of beautiful main town Gdansk, Hotel Holland has everything that Gdansk has to offer on its doorstep. The room was spotless and spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Only thing to note, it’s an older hotel and all floors and stairway have wooden floors so sound can travel. If you are sensitive to noise then it might be worth taking earplugs. The staff are friendly and the food (we only had breakfast here) is freshly made and good value for money. We’d love to come back to visit the wonderful Gdansk again.

This is our “go to” hotel in Gdańsk. Located on the main pedestrian street of the charming old town, it is a perfect spot for enjoying the city. The spacious room with dark wood decor and high ceilings, the comfortable bed and clean, modern restroom, the tall windows that open out to a view of the multi-colored buildings across the way, the kind and helpful staff - it all adds up to a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to visit again!

Hotel is on a busy street. Our room was large with a large bathroom and super shower. Bed was comfortable. Wifi worked well. Room was dusty and was never cleaned for the 3 nights that we stayed. Housekeeping would replenish the towels & supplies. The street noise did not bother us.

Old city center located hotel with v.good quality.

Well located in vivid center of old city of Gdańsk. This is advantage but also disadvantage due to noisy neighborhood - sometime windows could not protect us. Hotel is very comfortable, room was spacious, very clean. This is old house and be aware that there is no airco available. During our stay it was not a problem. Hotel apartaments are on 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor with a lift, while reception is at 1st floor. Ground floor is taken by georgian restaurant. You will get there 10% discount. It is very good. From hotel you could get to all city attractions by feet.

I do not know how this hotel is 4 *? Outdated rooms, no AC, old TVS, cheap shampoo and gel “in one”… No lotion at all. Only one water for the room. We were very disappointed with this hotel especially for the price. If we could we would want a refund because this was such a rip off. Paid premium but the hotel deserves 2 stars, maybe 3 on a good day. Also, no true luggage storage - you can just “leave” them in a hallway! No tags, nothing. Anyone can come and take it. We will never again stay at this place. Many better options around (unfortunately it was sold out for that date). Lesson learned.

Absolutely superb location, right in the middle of the old town. Can be a little noisy at night but the double glazing is brilliant and keeps the noise out. There is no air-conditioning but it was not needed even when 30 degrees outside.
Well appointed rooms and very helpful staff. Would certainly stay here again.

Beautiful room and very helpful staff. The breakfast is wonderful as you get to pick any item that you would like on the menu downstairs every morning. The wait stuff is attentive.
My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom isn’t really nonexistent. I had to do my make up in front of the window with a hand mirror for light.

I guess the first red flag was the earplugs I found in the bathroom. Initially I didn't think much of them, but later on, at 3AM, when the drunken guys in the restaurant downstairs kept on singing, I totally understood their reason for being there. I nevertheless fell asleep eventually, only to be awakened a couple of hours later by a pungent food smell. Imagine being awakened by a smell! It was overpowering and I can say that it came from inside the property, because it got a little better after I opened the window. Of course, that increased the noises from the street. Net, net, if you like to sleep, avoid this property. Overall, it's a hotel that's obviously seen better days (scratched wooden floors, scratched elevator, poor lighting, etc). I will say a few good words about the staff, bless their heart, as they really try their best. Oh, last but not least, this hotel is not cheap. You can find better rates at much newer, cleaner and quieter properties all over town.

Water pressure of the shower is super weak and hot water didn’t run. In breakfast restaurant, some flies were. Shockingly, in window side I found 3 or 4 body of flies.

This hotel is located on a busy street, especially on the weekends. The building itself is old which is understandable so there is no thermostat located in each room to control the temperature, and the rooms are basic. If you get hot, which you might if they have the heat turned on you have to open the windows which means you suffer through hearing all the hustle and bustle from down below but they do offer ear plugs in their toiletries. The breakfast buffet was okay at best, better than continental that's for sure, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost, Basically, when you stay here, you're paying the higher price for its location.

Easy to find, walkable from bus route 210, safe location as a female solo traveller, loads of eats nearby.
Room was sparkling clean, and very spacious.
Only thing to bring the score down was the creaky bed, kept waking up every time I moved!
Also some noise from outside, but that’s to be expected when you stay in a lively location.

Amazing hotel located in the main street of Gdansk, rooms (308 and 309) were fabulously decorated, spacious, clean and with huge bathrooms. Notable sights were within walking distance as were restaurants and bars, of which there were plenty. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of food. Staff were friendly, accommodating and very helpful. City tour / Hop On Hop Off bus stops were located approximately 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel. Highly recommend a stay here.

This hotel has character,nice finishings however we made the mistake of not checking on air conditioning and the noise outside was horrendous going on till 2 and 3 in the morning and as the rooms are so hot you had to keep the windows open.If you want a good nights sleep this is not the hotel for you.A shame really as if this hotel had air conditioning you wouldnt fault the location or anything about the place.

Great location but street is super noisy until at least 2 am and stats again around 6:30am (cleaning the trash cans, trimming trees!) We haven' been sleeping for the intire stay. You can't close the windows because there is no aircondition- room is hot and stuffy.

An atmospheric hotel just a few doors down the Neptune Fountain. Beautiful place that I highly recommend. Lots of nice restos, cafes, shops in the area. Walkable and tram stop at about 5 minutes walk and main train station at about 10-15 minutes walk. Greatly enjoyed my stay.

Fantastic location opposite the Radisson Blu and two doors down from the Hard Rock. The river with lots of entertainment was 100 metres away. There were numerous restaurants on the doorstep.
The rooms were large, even the basic one we had, and the furniture and decoration was beautiful. Check out wasn’t until 12 which was very welcome after staying in other hotels where you have to leave as early as 10.
The Basilica was very close and so we were woken by ringing bells quite early (there are worse things to wake up to) and also the early bin collection was loud - we were at the back of the hotel. That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to this wonderful hotel.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of all Gdansk has to offer. We had a top floor room (as requested) which was quiet and comfortable, overlooking the street. The staff were very friendly and breakfasts were great, as were the evening meals and the local beer. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel

We asked for a certain room, they said no problem. Then we get an email that \"due to technical difficulties\" they can't reserve this room for us - apparently a friend of a worker was more important than a custiner. Okay, we got another room, no problem. Then upon arrival we were informed that breakfast is additional 80 zloty for 2 of us. When we made reservation it was clearly stated that breakfast is included. That was an option we chose. My husband asked about it and the person checking us in plainly said \"that's not what my computer shows\", well, we showed him what \"our computer\" said and it said breakfast included. We paid for it. I don't recommend this place. We feel cheated and scammed.

The Holand hotel is in a fab situ,in the old town , close to al places of interest and which we found was a total joy to see! I have walking probs ! But with so many attractive Cafe Restaurants built on to the sidewalks breaks were , Easy! The constant movement on the river with its fabulous Medieval galleons and steamers modernin contrast was areal joy to see ! Visit is a must !

Stayed Monday to Friday in April 2018....We were delayed by airline, and arrived after midnight, but the hotel had someone waiting for us to let us in. Room large and comfortable bed, kettle provided, but VERY mean with coffee and tea sachets, had to go down to reception in my pyjamas to ask for more one night. Same with toiletries...very sparse.
Had breakfast in hotel 2 days, and was OK..usual buffet...with nice breads, very reasonable!
Location of hotel is perfect for the tourist, in the middle of Old Town, just a bit noisy at night if you have to have window open for air.
All in all Gdansk is well worth a visit, beautiful and interesting town, and would recommend hotel for location and cleanliness.

FAMILY VISIT, SPENT FIVE DAYS IN HOLLAND HOUSE HOTEL GDANSK, FROM 16 TO 21 MARCH 2018,TOP MARKS ALL ROUND FOR STAFF FRIENDLINESS,FOOD & DRINK,ROOMS CHANGED EVERY DAY, FANTASTIC ATMOSPHERE RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OLD TOWN SURROUNDED BY BARS AND FIRST CLASS RESTAURANTS BY THE RIVER WITH ANY AMOUNT OF HISTORICAL SIGHTS TO ENJOY, I GIVE HOLLAND HOUSE TOP MARKS EXCELLENT.
( JUST ONE POINT I WOULD REMARK ON )
THE UPSTAIRS BED IN THE FAMILY SUITE IS CRYING - OUT FOR A RAILING
ON THE STEPS WHICH ACCESS THE BED, I NEARLY FELL TWICE ,THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE,

The hotel is right on the Dlugi Targ so is great for the sights and the local restaurants and bars. Spread over 4 floors with the reception on the 1st floor, but there is lift. Room very comfortable with twin beds and tasteful decor. Tea and coffee making facilities provided. Shower good size with all the usual soaps and shower gels. Overlooked service yard at rear but this was nota problem. TV only had local channels except for an Israeli channel, could do with an english language channel, i.e. BBC or CNN.
Did not use restaurant but it looked very nice.

Make sure you take a superior room that faces the Dluga which is the pedestrian main street of the old city. Lovely room. Only complaint that there was no bath and after a long day out in minus degree snow it would have been wonderful to soak in a long bath!

Great place to stay! Highly recommended. However after booking a double room we had 2 single bed sheets which wasn't great. The tv didn't have a good channel list. But otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much. Very clean and warm. Really great shower and a restaurant below which was very good for breakfast.

Very central hotel, located near the river, the fountain, shops, bars and places to eat. The superior triple room was quite large with a huge bathroom and a lovely view over the Main Street. Tea/coffee facilities and hairdryer added extras. Mini bar available at a charge. Breakfast was good with a selection of breads, buns, cereals, fruits and some hot food like eggs, beans, bacon & sausage. Everything was very clean and well stocked.

Hotel is in great location on the main pedestrian Street in the old town near to the river. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground and first floor with outside seating which is very popular and hotel residentify get 10% off, but we didn't eat here.
The room we had was lovely with lots of space and a walk in wardrobe. Room had tea and coffee making and mini bar. (Didn't get bathrobes which were listed, which would have been nice as we visited in winter)
Gdansk is lovely and worth a visit. We also got the short train ride out to Sopot which is a seaside town and had a walk along the pier and beach.

Lovely traditional hotel

We arrived in the early hours to a clean, warm, comfortable room. Breakfast and restaurant menu was very good. This is a very traditional hotel with a lovely atmosphere in the best location in Gdansk. Would definitely stay again.

Clean, comfortable, central.

Very comfortable, very clean, spacious rooms. Pleasant, traditional style decor.
Extremely helpful staff, who all spoke excellent English. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.
Excellent central location, walking distance to city centre restaurants, bars and most main sights.
Only minor downside - rooms at the front open onto the main pedestrian area, so this can be noisy if you have the window open (windows are double glazed) . They do provide ear plugs, though!

Beautiful hotel in the centre of everything

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. Lots of traditional features. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant staff. Breakfast was pretty good and so was the restaurant downstairs. The location cannot be beat.

Hotel workers are not bothered

Breakfast!
Each day we went for breakfast at 9 every day we were faced with the same story, all hot food was gone, no clean glasses , no milk, no coffee. Each day I had to go several times to the reception and report what was missing, bacon, eggs came up after 20 minutes sometimes longer, each time it took ages for them to respond and bring something up. I’m a frequent traveller and I have never experienced anything like this during all my travels.
Hotel staff / kitchen staff very slow and seem not bothered , you would expect that when they come up with glasses they would have checked what is missing and what food need to be filled upon, no they seem not bothered delivered the glasses as per request and left the breakfast room without checking if there was enough with food or not!
The noise! Our room was facing Dluga street, I understand it is a busy street and I think anyone would expect it to be busy during the weekend until 1 -2 am , but to experience it all night is not acceptable.
The noise and antisocial behaviour was unbearable -the screaming and shouting parties ,the music playing ended at 5.30 am.On Saturday on top of all drunk people who shouted and made noises there was a group of people sitting in the Green Gate singing and playing instruments VERY loudly from midnight to 4 am! The gate itself creates an echo effect the sound was magnified by plenty.In Poland the night silence is between 22pm to 6 am.Why is the night receptionist not acting on it?
