High value and cleanliness with great location.

This hostel has much to recommend it. The location just at the border of the Royal Way is excellent. It sits adjacent to the river. It is super close to huge numbers of nice restaurants, also convenience stores, and even a genuine bank-based ATM next door. It is in an urban, not rural environment. Many of the sights of Gdansk are close. I did not observe public transit close by. But it is still reasonably walkable to the main train station. The cobblestone sidewalks and streets can be a little challenging to pull wheeled luggage over but still quite doable.
The structure is older but I had no problems. Cleanliness is excellent and the you can tell that the management really cares about the place. Quietness was excellent. The neighborhood was very safe. Breakfast was available for an extra fee, but you do have to order it about 24 hours in advance. Overall a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

It was very close to everything less than 5 mins walk. Easy to self check in and out out of hours, the only thing I didn't like where the people staying as everyone was so loud. Friday night, just drunk people laughing and giggling and no consideration for anyone else, Saturday was quieter but again people so loud and with the rooms you hear absolutely everything.

All was good except I'd have like to have a cleaning of my room after 2 days. And there were noises my last night. Except that all was good as every time, I recommend for the quality price rate 🙂 near of everything and of course the old town and the Main street. 15-20min walk from the station gdansk glowny and 10min by scooter.

BEST quality/price rate, near the centrum and the Main street,staff friendly,there was no noise,I have been upgraded to a 3 beds room instead of 2 beds room what a pleasure!
I didn't use the kitchen but there is one. The bathroom and toilet are clean. I will come back to this hostel if I come back to Gdansk.

Nice hostel.
Be mindful, there is no 24hr reception. To get through the gates after hours you need a gate code. Also need another code to collect the key from the locker. You need to call the number provided.

Needs new mattresses

The bed was awful. It was so soft with no support and you could feel the springs through it. I couldn't sleep on my side as I would start to roll of the bed due to the amount of wear it had. Seriously need some new mattresses.
We were in room 14 and throughout the night would be woken up by the outside door loudly slamming shut. Again, need to fix the door.
The cleanliness was just about ok. There was mold on the shower head and dust in the corners/edges. There was also a red stain on the bed.
Kitchen was clean and practical.
Didn't really interact with the staff. Self check in was good.

The hostel is perfect for a few nights in gdansk! We had a private room with 3 bunk beds and a private bathroom, also used the communal shower room and was clean and tidy! There is a kitchen and a lounge/games room downstairs. The kitchen offers free cornflakes and coffee and tea and has space to store and cook food too!

Very good choice overall!

The hostel is a very good choice overall. Very well positioned and good value for money. The rooms are basic but functional.
The only thing one needs to pay attention is that the while hotels.com says \"24-hour front desk\", this is not the case. I arrived in the night and while the hotel was open there was no one at the reception. Yet there was an emergency number and the person that picked it up was very helpful and guided me over the phone to my room. I still suggest to communicate your arrival time to the hotel beforehand.

Great option for a bed and shower

Great bed and shower. No frills, but cheap and perfect as a place to get some sleep and take shower. Would recommend it for the price for people who do not plan on spending much time in the hotel annd just need somewhere to sleep!

Perfect for Short stay

We arrived in Gdansk at 2am so the 24 hour reception was very useful for us. The staff were friendly for the duration of our short 2 night stay. The hotel is located within a 2-3 minute walk of the main area. The only minor issue is the beds were very small but for 2 nights it wasn't a problem. If I ended up in Gdansk again with friends I think we would stay here.

booked this hostel as it was right on the edge of the old town .
Arrived in the early hours 02-00 to gain entry you have to use a intercom type bell , the only problem was I dont know Polish and that what you got when reply came back {push gate }took me couple mins to understand .
When got the front desk the young girl was helpful and very nice , showed me to my room and said good night .
In the morning when I was more myself and checking out the room{private bathroom with shower} , was very pleased to say the least , for a hostel it was more like a travel inn room {without a kettle }. the room was clean and tidy .
With being on the edge of the old town no shortage of place to and drink , food shop just about 200 yrd away to which was very handy .
the wifi was funny after about 8/9 pm the wifi would come and go .
I was reasonable quiet .
For the price you pay cant complain in my view

Ideal budget option in a great location. Hostel is very clean, rooms are spotless and very good service. Only problem is the lack of air con or a fan as the room was very warm even with the window open all the time.

My sister and I stayed at Moon Hostel. The staff was friendly and the check in went smoothly. The room was just ok. I did not like that it had carpeted floors, because that always feels gross at a hostel, since so many people stay there often. It is better to have hard floors of some type so that one can disinfect them after each person's stay. That way it is easier to maintain a clean and hygienic space for everyone. The bathrooms were not so clean, because there was no way to keep the water off of the floors after many people showered. But all of these things are still ok with me. The only real complaint I have is that the internet was very poor. It had a weak signal when we first arrived in the afternoon, and by night with so many people on the bandwidth, we were unable to connect at all. I asked for the router to be reset, but the staff said no.

Perfekt läge med nära till staden och fina promenader vid vattnet som rinner igenom stan. Badrummen var inte de modernaste, men alltid städade och bra med varmvatten i duschen. Det enda jag kan klaga på är att sängarna var hårda.
Men för det priset och det läget var det fantastiskt.

Das Zimmer war mäßig sauber, die Matratze im Bett war durchgelegen und fleckig, im Bad war sehr viel Schimmel, auch während der Nachtruhe war es auf dem Gang sehr laut- an Schlaf war nur mit Ohropax zu denken, einziger Pluspunkt ist die zentrale Lage, die Mitarbeiter wirkten gelangweilt-konnten unsere Frage aber beantworten

Jag tyckte att det funkade perfekt för en ensamresa till Gdansk. Låg mycket centralt i gamla stan. Rena rum och allmänna utrymmen. Väldigt lugnt med barnfamiljer och ungdomar. Ingen fest och stök. Enda minus var att dörrarna var högljudda och rummen lyhörda. Annars mycket nöjd.

Tyvärr kändes rummet instängt på grund av dålig ventilation. Toalettstolen var ostabil och gungade så fort man satte sig. Det saknades även hårtork i rummet.

Det största problemet var dock sängen – efter bara en natt vaknade jag med ryggsmärtor. Madrassen sjönk ner kraftigt i mitten och skapade en obekväm grop som gjorde det svårt att sova ordentligt.

Un hostel idéalement situé en plein coeur de la magnifique ville de Gdansk. Ayant un bébé de 4 mois, nous avons apprécié avoir notre salle de bain privative. Nous avons également apprécié que le personnel nous apporte un lit parapluie. La chambre était propre et les lieux étaient bien entretenus et calmes. Un bon rapport qualité-prix !

Vi kom vid midnatt och ringde till receptionen ingen kom och hjälpte oss, de kunde inte engelska så bra och det var kod lås och vi fick fel rum.
Vi bokade en dubbelsäng alltså två enkel sängar och ett rum men fick rum med våningssängar för 6 personer. Vi var inte nöjda och kommer aldrig tillbaka. Det var stökigt och man hörde väldigt mycket ljud utifrån. Ingen tvål och en liten handduk. Dåligt. Boka inte där!

Veldig fin beliggenhet inntil en elv i gamlebyen, med et godt utgangspunkt for å utforske Gdansk til fots. Trikk, buss, butikker og spisesteder i nærheten. Morsomt, gammelt bygg med noen halve etasjer og merkelige løsninger. Dørene ut mot gangen har synlige gliper hvor lyset skinner gjennom, så det som skjer der høres godt. Det kanskje verste med stedet, er mengdene ungdommer som samles i gangene sent på kvelden og natta for å drikke, røyke (både hasj og sigaretter) så hele stedet stinker, le, skrike, ralle og løpe i gangene. Jeg og flere andre rundt prøvde å snakke til dem for å få dem til å slutte, hvor responsen var spytting og den midterste fingeren. Det er helt nødvendig å ha med med ørepropper, men selv med det våknet jeg flere ganger, blant annet fordi et par folk slåss oppetter døren min utenfor fellesbadet. Resepsjonen er ubemannet fra kveld til morgen, så det er ikke mye hjelp å hente der.

The hostel’s location and the children’s playground were great. However, the sheets provided were too small for the beds, which was unusual. Noise easily carried into the rooms — even I could hear it despite being hearing impaired. Some of the hotel staff had trouble understanding basic English, which seems to be a common issue in Gdańsk.
