Room was warmed well by a radiator. Cleaning staff v.good. reception excellent. Outside area a little run down but quite safe and quiet. Little supermarket \"Zabka\" close by. Short walk to the old town and the riverfront.

That hotel should not be ranked like one , the quality is more like hostel , terrible bad flat pillows, funky smell from toilet, and the picture from booking are very different from what you will see at the hotel ,no idea why the reviews from previous people are good, I would never stay there again , very disappointed

Hotel bonum

The hotel is nice, situated on a quiet street about 10 minutes walk from the river. The service was excellent and the food was great. My only criticism is that there was only one pillow on the bed so it was a little uncomfortable to sleep on.

Good location, uncomfortable beds, cold reception

Generally, the location was fine & the ambiance was good. The beds however, were very uncomfortable and provided a poor quality sleep. The mattresses need to be replaced!
And the initial service was not very good and the reception we received was very cold from the staff, especially the manager on site at our arrival. After a long day of travel it would have been nice to receive a warm reception and help with our luggage up the stairs. Instead, the reception we received was very icy cold.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
It was spotless and our room had everything thing we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I could not fault them.
The hotel was within walking distance to all the sights we wanted to see, supermarket nearby and lots of cafes and bars. I can't wait to return to this hotel! Thank you hotel bonum!!

Was excellent hotel for a great price. Perfect location just off the beaten path(10min walk). They really went above and beyond and had some rental cars delivered. Only negative is that the shower would not drain and was not fixed while we were there.

Well worth considering

It's a fascinating building though the sound insulation was not as good as one wished. Positives - good room, friendly staff, good wifi and close to the sites. Car parking was not overly secure and the area seemed a little suspect but it was all OK.

Potential to be excellent

Had a good time in Gdansk, staff are very efficient in the hotel and were willing to help with our requests promptly.
Unfortunately the room facility faults were a minor issue such as the safe not working and a shower that sprayed in a near 180 degree angle due to scale in the head.
Outside our bedroom window had a rather noisey gutter which continued making loud dripping noises, 30 mins after a shower had finished, not necessarily an issue except when it's early hours of the morning.

shame about the bar

fabulous stay. the staff were excellent. just 1 little thing which was the bar. we would have like a proper bar area that was open untill 12 it closed at 10 but because it wasnt a proper bar no one drank there. It's a shame about that. as every night we had to go for a walk to find a bar. It would have been nice to stay in the hotel for a few drinks.

40th Birthday weekend break

The hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the old town, centrally located. The rooms are clean & modern with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly & very helpful. A continental breakfast inc cheese, meat, salad, cereal & fruits as well as eggs, omlettes or pancakes is available for a fee if not already paid for. I would recommend this hotel and would return again.

High standard of accommodation

Friendly and very help staff at the front desk. The Old Town with its many attractions was only a short walk from the hotel. The main railway station with connecting local services to Sopot and Gdynia was just a 10 minute walk.

Lovely small hotel within a few minutes walk of central Gdansk. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They have parking behind the hotel. However, the room was small and without air-conditioning so was very hot. Also, there was no frig or mini bar so no cold drinks. There is an elevator but to get to our room after getting off the elevator we had to drag our bags up 6 steps and then down 6 steps. This is the same on every floor.

Comfortable clean room. lovely breakfast with a good choice. two of our party are dairyfree and i had e mailed in advance to ask for soya milk which was provided for them.
Free wi fi in the rooms a hairdryer and a kettle, it ticked all the boxes for me.
Excellent value for money would go again.

I would recommend this hotel as good value.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Bonum, there were maybe just a few tiny things that stopped me from giving it a 5. These were things such as; mirror in bedroom had a large crack, you can hear people in the room next door, for some reason our room was not made up in the morning but they had been in to deliver a 'with compliments note' and a fruit platter. We did not mind too much but I think it should have been made. The room was quite spacious and the location was quite good, a little bit of a walk to the main area but it was nice to see the children playing in the school nearby.

Would recommend this hotel highly. Our only issue was the amount of lighting in hallways. Probably is not an issue for most people but my husband has eyesight problems. Luckily our room was very close to stairs. Also enjoy the restaurant.

Probably the best breakfast in Gdansk

The Hotel staff were polite and very helpful. The room, although a little small, was very comfortable, decor very pleaseing and shower excellent. The breakfast was something else, absolutely superb spread, anything you could want to eat and more. Everything was fresh and very well presented, fruit especially well received. We did not have to eat anything else until dinner time.

It was a very nice hotel. Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only see that might be an issue is the room had no air conditioning, which might be a problem if the temperature had been warmer. It was very close to the main strip of town. Overall it was a very nice hotel. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Historic Gdansk

We thought the Hotel Bonum was excellent. The reception ladies couldn't have been more helpful and the room, on European standards, was well up to standard and quite spacious. Although the hotel was walking distance to main Gdansk attractions, there were hotels closer which were in much better locations. The grim building opposite the Bonum happened to be the old post office, scene of a siege on the first day of the Second World War. You can't get away without war history in Poland.

Great little hotel

Really nice hotel in the center of Gdansk, very close to Piwna street. Breakfast is 40zl extra. There's a small grocery shop at the corner. I'm giving 4 for comfort - there was no shower courtain in the bath tub - it's a small detail, otherwise it'd have been 5 :-)

We can recommand hotel Bonum as a very nice and friendly place to stay. The people at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly to us. The room was warm and the breakfast was good value for the money. It is a buffet-breakfast with lots of good food for everybody, so take your time.... The location is only a ten minutes walk away from the centre of Gdansk.
Have a good time in Gdansk !!!

Good hotel!

The photos look better then reality, but the hotel is quite good anyway. 5 min walk to the tourist area, you do not need any transport at all. Walking distance to the raiwaystation from there you can take the bus to the airport for 1 EURO! But the best about hotel is the breakfast! it is till 11 o'clock. You get 4 warm meals at the buffet: sausages, vegetables, eggs etc. Very tasty, I ate like an elefant and hardly could eat dinner afterwards. Pity you get wifi only in the lobby and wired internet in the room. TV has only boring Polish channels. The bathroom has heating floor what is quite nice.

Quite nice hotel on the whole.

Sweet Boutique Hotel

Amazing buffet breakfast-you'll never run out of choices. Very fresh and excellent quality food. Restaurant staff very efficient and extremely respectful -speak English too. Five floor hotel with elevator. Stayed at end of October - heated room.For a summer stay - no A/C but large windows fully open. In a residertial neighborhood half way between main railroad station and the historic old town district. A 10-15 min. walk either way. Dinner in hotel dining room - not consistently good. Some items excellent but, e.g. the mushroom soup wonderful with fresh local mushrooms but sooo oversalted I couldn't eat it. Every item seemed to be in a cream sauce. Could use variety in the preparation. PC in lobby for guests to use. Room VERY clean. Mine faced the historic main post office where WWII began. Beds comfortable, bathroom-shower,no bath- clean, large, lots of hot water. Towels could be thicker, one had a hole. Could use Kleenex in room. Flat screen TV nice. Could use a clock/radio in room. Hotel director interested in my overall opinion. Overall a lovely stay. All staff gracious and anxious to please. Good English. Free parking. Due to very early departure-hotel packed amazing breakfast in shopping bag (juice,yoghurt,apple, 3 sandwiches (on rolls), choc. wafer bar) . Felt well-cared for and comfortable. Bring your walking shoes to visit historic Gdansk.The streets are made of raised, rounded cobblestones. Would definitely return. Very fair price for the value.

Everything about this hotel was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We came in very later at night and thought it was out of the way - by daylight we were clearly wrong. A short walk and you are everywhere you need to be. Highly recommended!

A very nice classic, renovated hotel, reasonable distance from waterfront promenade and the beautiful centre of Gdansk. Staff very formal and helpful and breakfast and service very good. Our only reservation was that there was a constant \"drain\" smell in the bathroom which appeared to come from local drainage in the area around the hotel. Our feelings were that this would be attended to and was not serious enough to mar our stay. Good internet access.

Great Small Boutique Hotel

Within easy walking distance of the OLD TOWN (10 minutes) and the waterfront. 800 meters to the train station was an easy stroll. You must go to SOPOT (preferably on a sunny day)...its very easy 1.75 PLN pp each way (about 60 - 70 cents per person in CAD dollars).

The weather was a bit rainy but that didnt stop us from enjoying Gdansk and Sopot.

There is no air conditioning, but it didnt matter to us as the weather was very comfortable to sleep.

The rooms was spotless and very clean. We had one of the apartments which was awesome! And they had a BOSE stereo system too...that was great.

Staff spoke excellent English!

Would definitely stay here again...now that I know where it is LOL...

Hotel Bonum, Gdansk

The staff were very welcoming and efficient, answering all our queries in English. We were only staying for one night, and the room was fine for us, as was the bathroom with lots of fluffy white towels and hot radiators for drying our clothes. We had a TV with English news, plus coffee/tea making in room. It was a bit of a trek from the main station in the snow and ice, but it is well placed for sightseeing in the old town and water fronts which could be reached quite easily. We had supper in the hotel restaurant where the food was excellent, as was the service. The beds were comfortable and there was no noise. Breakfast was a glorious spread, available to us at 6.45 am, we were sorry we had to rush out early to get to the airport.
Gdansk was freezing cold outside, and this may have been the reason for the slight odour in the room as I think the drains had frozen, but it wasn't bad enough to be a problem. The area is quiet and not particularly picturesque, but the old quarters and the canals nearby are lovely, with very varied and pretty houses.

Nice quiet location which was good value for money. Staff friendly and welcoming and free muffins or cake in reception all day. The tea making facilities were a bonus and the hotel was always warm (it was snowing outside).
Braekfast was one of the best we've had and well stocked and replenished. Would stay here again.

Very good three star hotel in good location with excellent helpful staff and daily room changing,had an excellent trip reccommend this hotel to anyone.Only one small problem with return airport bus which must be booked by telephone despite what the girl in the city terminal tells you,bus driver is a jobsworth,can get 210 bus from railway station if you just want to roll up.

A nice stay in a quiet location

The hotel Bonum was all-in-all a great stay for the price. Only downside was the fact that there was no air conditioning in the room, so it gets a little hot during summer time. Also the location was a bit further from the main tourist streets, and the hotel is actually a bit hard to find. On the other hand, it's nicley located in a quiet area between the waterfront/old town and railways/shopping center/solidarity museum/shipyard. A relatively short walk to all directions.

The breakfast was great, the hotel and rooms are very tidy and service was excellent. Altogether, a great place to stay.

The Hotel was very convenient for all the local sights of Gdansk so everywhere could be done on foot. The staff at the Hotel were very efficient and friendly and all spoke good English. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food at the Hotel was excellent. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of different types of food and excellent fruit. We also enjoyed the evening meals at the Hotel. We would certainly recommend it and stay there again.

A hidden gem

This hotel is located in a residential area directly across from the Polish Post Office and Museum, the site of one of the first incidents of WWII. It also was conveniently located to everything from the riverfront and Old Town to the train station. We very quickly found side streets that made the distances on foot even shorter. It was nice to have the quiet of a neighborhood but fast access to everything the great city of Gdansk has to share.
The room was a bit tight but having said that, it was well appointed. The stand-up shower was large enough to be easy to use. Free internet access and pastries in the lobby were a nice touch.
The only negative is that the hot foods available at breakfast could have been heated up more.

A gem of a place

Bonum hotel was great value for money.The staff couldnt do more for you .They helped us pick nice restaurants and even let us keep our room on free of charge on the day we were leaving.Spotless, clean, and attention to detail by the management meant we had an excellant stay here.The breakfast room was lovely and spotless clean .An abundance of food on offer to suit all tastes ie.Cereals,fruit ,yoghurts,cheese hams,hot sausages ,bacon and scrambled eggs ,nice rolls and cakes and croissants.Ten min walk took you to centre where there were plenty of pubs and eating places.Room had nice flat screen tv and was very up to date.The brickwork was a very nice feature.I would most certainly recommend this hotel and hope to go again in the near future.Thank you Bonum Hotel for a wonderfull stay.

Hotel was overbooked so they put us up in another nice hotel at no extra cost.So we spent one night at the Aureus. Our room was lovely with a balcony. Tea & coffee, radio, Tv & safe. Well stocked hot & cold buffet breakfast. Helpful & friendly staff. Shops nearby for booze etc. About 15 minutes walk from train station.

Nice hotel for its class

It was a very nice hotel for its class. Character with all the exposed brick. If you have trouble walking, ask for a room on the same level as the elevator. The house is a combo of several houses and where they adjoin you have to go up and down a few steps. About a 15 minute walk from the train station (through a shopping area) and 10 minutes from the waterfront and the old town. Free WiFi worked well, breakfast was soso. They were overwhelmed by the amount of people that were there and could not keep up. They gave us a nice breakfast box,because we were leaving very early on the train. If you are a very large person, there might be issues with the shower size and access to the bed. In our room there was very little room on the sides of the bed (it was in a cove). Check out your room. Safe was big enough for computer.

Great value boutique hotel in the old town of Gdansk

Lovely boutique hotel just minutes walk from the water front of Gdansk old town. Excellent location! Stayed 2 nights but wished I'd booked longer. The buffet breakfast was fresh and tastey with choices of hot and cold food, fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts, fresh breads and drinks. Would definately go back to Gdansk and this hotel

Das Zimmer war geräumig, sauber, ruhig und gut ausgestattet. Die Lage ist gut weil man zu Fuß vom Bahnhof hin laufen kann und auch schnell zu Fuß in der historischen Altstadt ist. Prisvärt hotell i Gdańsk

Mycket prisvärt hotell nära gamla stan i Gdańsk, promenadavstånd till allt. Gratis kaffe och kallt/varmt vatten i lobbyn. Finns kalla drycker att köpa i receptionen dygnet runt.
Trevlig personal, noggrann städning och bra frukost.
Det pågick gatuarbete utanför men det informerade hotellet om i förväg och de placerade gästerna i rum mot baksidan och parkering i första hand.

Stille og rolig området. God og gratis kaffe i resepsjonen. Veldig hyggelige og serviceinnstilte personale. Veldig rent og ryddig. God dusj og varmt vann hele døgnet. God seng og puter. Kort avstand til gamle byen.

Mindre hotell i närheten av gamla stan. Väldigt nära till krigs museet och Post museet ligger på andra sidan gatan.

Mysigt hotell, bra rymligt rum, sköna sängar, kylskåp, vattenkokare, perfekt wifi, rent och fint. Tom handdukarna luktade got. Vattentrycket i duschen perfekt!

Superbra service från receptionen. De informerade, bokade taxi OCH grattade mig på min födelsedag.

Helt otroligt aldrig hänt trots 100 tals nätter på hotel världen över även på fler födelsedagar.
