Room was clean but very small and the bathroom was inconvenient. The bathtub was very slippery and my senior mom had so much trouble taking her shower since she was slipping and the water was spilling over the edge. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for seniors unless they have rooms with better bathroom options.

Byłam w hotelu Mercure w samym centrum Gdańska na dwie noce i jestem zachwycona! Pokój był świetny – nowoczesny, komfortowy, a widok z okna dosłownie nieziemski. Obsługa na recepcji od pierwszej minuty była bardzo pomocna, uśmiechnięta i profesjonalna – każdy szczegół dopracowany na najwyższym poziomie.
Śniadania przepyszne – ogromny wybór, świeże produkty i coś dla każdego. Atmosfera w hotelu naprawdę sprawia, że chce się wracać. Na pewno z wielką chęcią ponownie odwiedzę ten hotel przy kolejnej wizycie w Gdańsku. Polecam z całego serca! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Good location bring a short walk to the main railway station snd the Christmas market. An excellent restaurant ( the Swojski Smak) is located across the road and was so good we ate there 3 nights out of 4 we were there. Breskfast was plentiful and filling.

Location was great. Hotel was average looking. Just a basic hotel nothing special - especially the rooms. Breakfast was good but nothing extraordinary. Staff was polite but also not extraordinary. One of the front desk staff did book a dinner reservation for us which was amazing. We went to Vice Versa. Probably wouldn’t go again. Stay at the Radisson instead.

Nice, quiet and clean hotel with comfortable beds and a lovely view of the city. Water jugs are provided in each room and there are filtered water machines beside the lifts on each floor which is a helpful eco-friendly feature. I would flag that the inbuilt hair dryer unfortunately didn't work in my room. The customer service was a little bit lacking at times (i.e. one receptionist seemed annoyed at me for asking for a city brochure which is a pretty normal thing for a tourist to ask for). Hence why I didn't mention the hair dryer not working!

Location is great. Parking is not close so if you have a lot of luggage, getting it all to the room is not easy.

The showers are terrible in design. You have almost 2/3 high meter to step into a small plastic tub. Water shoots out everywhere on to the floor. Very slippery and dangerous.

Restaurant food was good. Staff was ok.

The hotel is one step above a dump. Where do I start? The AC doesn't work. The TV doesn't work. The hair dryer is broken. No power outlets in the bathroom. The rain shower head is broken, the hand-held shower head holder is broken, the shower drain cap is broken, there's a weird humming noise coming from the vent/speaker whatever the heck that thing is. The mattress is ridiculously uncomfortable, so I ended up with horrible back pain. The room cleaners came in without knocking, and after asking them to come back, they never did. The front desk staff are nice and helpful and the location is good, but sadly these are the only redeeming qualities. For the price, I could have stayed at a much better place.

Beside the convenient location, I cannot think of anything that makes feel that the hotel can live upto a four star status. The staff did no greetings and did not even respond to our greetings. They put us in a room that is somehow made into twin beds room. One bed is totally on the side of the wall. One sleeping on that bed will easily hit their legs and arms on th conceret wall. Shock one was that the room was half the size of the room they showed online. Shock two was that the beds, duvet, pilow case, towel, everything collected a significant amount of dust showing there was no cleaning of them for days. We were too tired the night we arrived and sleept on the beds and we had severe skin irritation and allergic reaction.
After notifying the reception and returning to the room we could easily see that they did not change anything. Perhaps the housekeeping swept the sheets and changes nothing two towels. We requested new sheets and other covers. They ignored the request. The AC was not working. However, they fixed that.
Staff's behavior showed clear sign of racism and their discomfort in serving someone from Indian ethnicity, except for those young ladies serving coffee at breakfast.

All wishes ignored.

I was very disappointed. I gave my card for a swipe so that i could charge food to the room. But whenever i tried i had to pay separately. When i checked out and mentioned this, they first denied having taken a swipe and then found it and asked what i wanted to about it. Eventually, refunding the money swiped. They also have a scheme whereby if you dont want the room cleaned on a particular day you hang a sign on your door and get points on your Accor Club card. Every time it was ignored and no points were credited

My family and I travel to Gdansk twice per year. We always stay in the heart of old town. We decide to switch it up this time. We are glad we did. Hotel location is Excellent! You are right next to stores, 3 min walk to train station and 5 min. walk to old town. Staff were nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English, or tolerated my broken Polish. Rooms were cleaned daily. Breakfast had lots of choices and tasted great everyday. I recommend this property to anyone visiting Gdansk. We will be returning there next time.

Excellent location on the edge of the old town; close enough to walk to the heart of the old town and all the major attractions but away from the crowds and the noise. The hotel was also close to many cafes, restaurants, and bakeries and within a 5 minute walk to the train station (if you are planning day trips out of town, for example Malbork). The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my 5 day stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a huge variety of choices. The hotel staff was the best; welcoming, attentive, and helpful. Overall it was a great choice and I will definitely choose it again for my next stay in Gdansk.

The hotel is much nicer than I thought it would be. The rooms are spacious, well designed and clean. Staff was very nice and friendly.
The only thing that I thought could be addressed is the breakfast - the cost is pretty high if one only wants a coffee and a croissant. I would suggest making tiered system, or a menu system, instead of having a blanket buffet price.

The small, single-bed room was suitable for my 3-night stay. The room faced low-rise flats, a church and distant cranes, not the old town. The staff were friendly and polite in their own Polish style, so not full of fake smiles. The breakfast was good. The location is good for the railway station, the 210 airport bus stop outside the station and the old town/waterfront. It's what you should expect from a northern/central European 4-star hotel.

We stayed at room on 16th floor , the view was breathtaking. The room was very clean with lots complementary drinks : water , soda ,tea and coffee.
Receptionist Patrycja checked us in she was a gem ! Helped us with earlier check in and was very friendly . Also the bartender was amazing ,as needed a hot milk for my daughter.
The place itself looks very glamorous but staff is just amazing .

Świetna lokalizacja na Starym Mieście, kilka minut spaceru od zabytków i restauracji. Hotel dobrze utrzymany mimo swoich lat, dobre śniadania i obsługa. Internet działał bez zarzutów, w hotelu jest siłownia i sale konferencyjne. Minusem jest dość drogi parking, natomiast nie trzeba z niego korzystać - przed budynkiem hotelu jest bardzo dużo miejsc parkingowych opłacanych w parkometrze.

The locality of thus hotel is the best - everything is within walking distance - train station, Old Town, Solidarity Museum, shipyard, WWII museum. The room interior is bit worn down, but really clean and still comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

The highest level!

It the highest hotel in Gdansk and their standards fully match the height of the building. I am not able to find any bad or even neutral memories from our 4-nights stay - everything was perfect.
We had an extra bonus, as our room was on the highest floor with a view to an Old Town - it was amazing (I added picture).

Our usual choice in Gdańsk for short stays. Great location and friendly staff. Beds are comfortable and clean.
It's noticeable since covid little work has been done inside and economies have taken place. Fixed shower soap and same at hand basin, no shower caps the little nice touches have gone. Not even a pencil and paper in the room.
We'd still stay there again.
Nice to be back in Gdańsk.

Our eighth-floor room had a great view of the shipyard. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a little cramped - with the sink and toilet blocking easy access to the large mirror - although the shower area was spacious. Air-con worked well. The major downside was that the TV was very slow to operate and the channel selection poor (one music channel, for example) with no options for subtitles (even in Polish). It rains a lot in Gdansk (tip: bring a light jacket; even in summer!) and sometimes you just need to chill out with some TV.

Currently, you need to request room cleaning the day before and that was done as requested to a high standard. Reception staff were polite and helpful.

We used the gym and the equipment there is very modern. No towels or free water, though, so bring your own.

Location is excellent. It's five minutes walk from the main station and about 15 minutes to the main tourist streets. Plenty of places to grab breakfast or lunch on the way.

Finally, we had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant and the drinks prices were very reasonable.

Overall, a good value four-star hotel.

The hotel is a short walk from all the local attractions, being a bit of a walk from the main restaurants but closer to the train station and Solidarity Square.
The hotel itself is in a reasonable condition, but certain parts could do with being updated. The beds were not particularly comfortable with no additional pillows available. The breakfast selection was also particularly poor, with very little food choice available and it was difficult to find a table.

With a sore knee and very cold weather, it wasn't very pleasant to begin and end my trip with an awkward walk around the hotel to the parking by the service entrance below.

Good business class hotel in Gdansk.

We have stayed in this Mercure several times. It is close to the main station Gdansk Glowny and easy to walk to. It is a business hotel. The reception is quick and easy and the staff are friendly and efficient. If they can accommodate a request, they will. We like a high, quiet room with a view of the old town and have never been disappointed. Bogusia on reception was happy to help, thank you.
The room was serviced promptly and in a good condition. I would stay there again.

Perfectly situated for old town restaurants etc. Staff were extremely professional and courteous, provided maps and advice. Rooms wete very clean comfortable with no sounds heard from other rooms or the cleaner. Shower very clean and powerful ( unlike the hairdryer ). Tea and coffee facilities provided. We did not have meals in the hotel but did see other diners enjoying theirs. Pleasant bar area with attentive staff. Would definately recommend this hotel and stay there again.

The Mercure is in a great location, not far from the old town and the train station. We had a lovely room on the 12th floor with view over the old town. Very quiet at night. Really good value. We had drinks in the bar one evening, good service and nice atmosphere. We didn't eat in the hotel so cant comment on the food, but there is a good restaurant called Swojski Smak just across the street.
