This hotel was the highlight of our trip. Hotels.com offered breakfast with the stay but then we were charged. That was unfortunate. But the property was absolutely beautiful and the staff was absolutely amazing. The spa and massage therapists were 5 star. I would only go back to Switzerland to stay at the chedi.

Amazing Deluxe Suite! We have been with my dog and the Hotel was absolutely pet friendly with also a Pets Menu in the room ! Very nice and relaxing SPA area, swimming pool outdoor/indoor for adults only from 7pm as well. Only negative note is on the view from our room that was not so great since we were at first floor only and with the mountains mostly covered by the building in front of the balcony.

World class resort. Will be returning. Only complaint is the change to an Omakase only menu for The Japanese Restaurant, and the room above the underground parking was quite noisy with cars and bikes. There were plenty of vacant rooms, it would have been nice to stay on a quieter side.

The best hotel in Switzerland

Every detail in this hotel is meticulous and beautiful. The room is very spacious and relaxing. The spa looks a little bit like a Japanese temple. In general the hotel design is heavily influenced by Japanese culture which I find to be gorgeous. The service is also impeccable. We are vegan and the staff helped us find many wonderful options for us to eat. They even made me a vegan cake for my birthday.
The surrounding of the hotel had many beautiful places to explore. I highly recommend the hotel

I had a very bad check-in experience and I’ve loose more than 1 hour of our time, while we were the only one guest who were checking in. Even when I tried to talk about this situation to supervisor - I didn’t feel like somebody trying to solve my problem and just to be nice to me. And absolutely I didn’t felt like I came to 5 stars property and that I am the guest of the hotel which is the part of Leading hotels of the world. I stayed at the Chedi in Montenegro last year for 11 days and everything was outstanding. That’s why I choose this hotel for our short stay. But I was disappointed while our check-in and I felt even worse when superior said to me: “We can cancel your reservation and you can go to another place to stay”. Does it how the guests of luxury hotels should be treated like or this is how the best Swiss hospitality looks like?

Absolutely amazing experience. The staff truly goes above and beyond (I never really knew what that meant until I stayed at The Chedi). Hotel interior is amazingly beautiful and grand and stylish. Our Junior Suite was fantastic. The restaurants are phenomenon especially the Michelin star Japanese Restaurant. I loved the heated outside pool with views of the surrounding mountains. But what I loved the most was the spa with the many saunas and baths on the lower levels.
The only thing that was not amazing was that we were there in May and the town of Andermatt is basically shut down and nothing is open outside the hotel. (But that is not the hotel's fault and there is enough to keep you fascinated and happy in the hotel).

For a 5* Hotel it did't meet our expectation. Our room was not clean, old guest sleepers were under the couch, popcorn under the bed, we told them nothing was done, bed very weak & extremely uncomfortable, kids bed is interesting since is just the couch, ambiance too dark, staff was nice but seem unhappy, breakfast was presented nice but it was tasteless, when we arrived to eat breakfast no one was there to seat us, overall is a nice hotel but not wonderful for the 5* it claims to be not to mentioned extremely over price for what you expect. Good things- good located, great to rent your ski gear because is inside the hotel, nice pool and big rooms.

They balanced service and being human perfectly well it felt so comfortable, especially as 5stars don't always feel so. Restaurant both for dinner and breakfast were stunning. Unfortunately the service was not as good as a previous visit. The second bathroom shower was not working and when this was raised it was not fixed. Papers were ordered and not delivered. In general the management didn’t give the service we would have expected from this Hotel.

Combination ski-spa weekend getaway

A truly fantastic experience from all standpoints: aesthetic, athletic, gastronomic, panoramic, spiritual.
The hotel features the amazing architecture of Jean-Michel Gathy, with all of his unique grace-note details, and is set like a precious stone in the beautiful Andermatt valley. Our room overlooking the spa pool was extremely well-designed and comfortable.
For a ski fanatic like me, the pampered treatment by the excellent hotel ski butlers was a perfect way to kick off a challenging but tremendously satisfying day on the Gemsstock.
The spa massages and hot pools were fantastically relaxing and healing.
The various meals we had were all exquisite and the staff unfailingly gracious in their helpfulness.
Need I say more?

Perfect stay at the chedi Andermatt

We were passing through Andermatt for one night enroute to Davos via glacier express and decided to spend the night at the chedi. The property is simply par excellence and I would rate it 6 stars in terms of comfort and service if I could. The expansive spa area might well be the best in Switzerland if not in Europe and the overall attention to fine details was impressive. Would love to return some day!

A simply amazing hotel set within a beautiful and incredibly friendly village. The staff are fantastic and the spa has to be seen to be belived. It is right next to the train station with great connections to Zurich Airport. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

O hotel é incrivelmente luxuoso, tudo impecável e de muito bom gosto. O quarto é sem dúvidas o mais confortável que já conheci. A área da sauna e spa, bem como a academia, são incríveis. Fica a 2 minutos de caminhada da estação de trem e dos lifts de esqui. Também há possibilidade de locar os equipamentos de esqui no próprio hotel, o que é extremamente conveniente. Também muito próximo dos principais restaurantes da cidade. Atendimento 10 estrelas, equipe muito amável e atenciosa. Única crítica construtiva que faço é em relação ao café da manhã. Confesso que me decepcionou um pouco, eu esperava mais pelo nível do hotel. São poucas opções saudáveis, e muitos itens são cobrados à parte, o que eu pessoalmente considero uma medida antipática, tendo em vista o valor da diária.

Wir waren vor 10 Jahren zum ersten Mal in diesem Hotel. Bei unserem zweiten Besuch jetzt waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Der Service hat sich stark verschlechtert, und es wird nicht gründlich gereinigt. Zum Beispiel war der Boden im Eingangs- bzw. Lobbybereich schmutzig. Auf der schwarz glänzenden Fläche des Käsehumidors waren Streifen vom Putzlappen zu sehen. Die Poster haben teilweise Löcher und wirken abgenutzt.

Das Spa, vor allem der Swimmingpool, ist praktisch bis 19 Uhr nicht benutzbar, da es kein separates Kinderbecken gibt. Tagsüber kreischen und schreien Kinder, spielen Wasserball und spritzen. Es ist sehr laut, und man kann sich nicht ausruhen.

Das Essen ist nichts Besonderes, und für Eggs Benedict muss man zusätzlich 15 CHF bezahlen. Insgesamt ist das Aufenthalteine Abzocke.

Es war ok, aber das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis stimmt definitiv nicht...
Personal war teilweise sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber leider nur teilweise. Ausserdem finde ich es kleinlich, wenn man eine Suite für über Fr. 1'000.- bucht und noch Fr. 30.- für den Parkservice bezahlen muss...
Auto hatte zudem Schmutz auf der Türschwelle vom Fahrer und wurde auch nicht elektrisch aufgeladen. Bin mir da von einem anderen fünfstern Hotel anderes gewöhnt. Werde sicher nicht nochmal ins Chedi gehen....

Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt. Exzellent war das japanische Restaurant mit den Starköchen, die mit viel Hingabe für uns gekocht haben, Kochkunst vom Feinsten.
Das Hotel ist eine Klasse für sich und sehr stilsicher eingerichtet. Sauberkeit top. Ihr Chef de Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, top Gastgeber. Weniger toll fand ich den kalten Innenpool auf den ich mich besonders gefreut habe, vielleicht hätte der Aussenpool etwas Wärme dem Innenpool abgeben können. Ein paar Wegweiser im Spabereich würden helfen den Weg dorthin zu verkürzen. Aber selbstverständlich ist das Chedi grosse Klasse für eine kurze Erholung vom Alltag.

Ist ist Nichts, wenn man allergisch auf Duftstoffe reagiert. Obwohl es sogar im Angebot erwähnt wird, und wir es in der Bestellung hinterlegt haben hat es nicht funktioniert. Wir hatten aber eine super Unterstützung durch ebookers. Die Betten waren nicht perfekt was man für den Preis erwarten darf.

Moyen... surtout le personnel

Hôtel sympa, mais service exécrable !!
Le restaurant japonais nous me dehors en nous apportant l’addition et en regardant sa montre sans nous avoir demandé si on souhaitait un dessert ou café en disant qu’il est maintenant trop tard ! Dans un restaurant de ce standing, on se débrouille pour faire manger les clients dans le temps impartie et on y propose un dessert tout de même avant ! Même si ils doivent proposer pendant les plats pour s’organiser...

ensuite réception très moyenne, la personne travaillant à la réception ne dit qu’elle Ne peut pas changer le nom de la facture, alors qu’elle l’a fait à mon ami juste avant… Nous avons fait environ 30 minutes pour le check out

Fantastic , spacious suites, but too dark. Good food however bit too sophisticated for a ski resort .

Amazing design but not value for money

Very nice design and cozy, stylish atmosphere. We loved the room and all its details and facilities. Spa treatments goo, but not great. Very appreciated that the pool was also for kids all day. The pool service was also great and with the outdoor pool, it was easier for the kids to have a place to make noise.
But the food and wine in the restaurant are way over priced, definitely no value for money. Also very uncomfortable chairs and sofas in the restaurant and the bar.
The Japanese restaurant was delicious and great service.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und konnten uns in dem tollen Zimmer sehr gut entspannen. Die beiden Restaurants waren ausgezeichnet. Der einzige Punkt den es von unserer Seite zu bemängeln gibt ist der Saunabereich, welcher nicht textilfrei ist. Bei einem so tollen Hotel mit grosszügiger Anlage sollte es möglich sein für beide Arten von Saunagänger einen Bereich anzubieten.
