This hotel was OK. There was no one at the reception desk when we checked in but they left our key out so that was ok. The room was very basic but clean. There’s not much to do in the town. We walked around but very few shops were open and there was mostly just restaurants. I needed to do some work but could not get the WiFi to work and there was no one to ask about it. Breakfast was included and it was surprisingly ample. Overall, was fine for our one night stay but we were hoping for a town with more to see.

I was greeted with a warm smile. The rooms are nice, and the bed is very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was very good, but a little expensive. The included breakfast was fantastic. If I’m ever in Andermatt again, I will surely stay there again.

It's an ok hotel. It's basically self-service, with your key waiting for you on a table upon arrival and you leave it there when departing. There's a bell that you can ring if you need service. The location is good, on the main street and about 10 minutes to the train station on foot. Breakfast was basic but fine. One half of the large bed had a sink hole, the other half was good. No elevator, no fridge, no safe, no tissues, tiny TV with many, many stations. I didn't have any problems, but for $200 per night, I wouldn't return.

The Skiklub is your average hotel room with a shared bathroom. It was a bit noisy in the mornings with the road traffic and other noise from trucks, etc. It seemed expensive for what you got which is basically a bed and a breakfast.

Not as advertised. Booked through Hotels.com and expected a bathroom. Instead the toilet and bath was down the hall on the 4th floor and shared. No elevator. When we complained management said we could pay extra for a room with bath or for fewer steps to climb. Not as advertised. Breakfast was excellent. Don't choose based on the description in Hotels.com

This is a great place to stay in Andermatt!! The staff are so friendly - the breakfasts are amazing. We totally recommend this place. Just avoid room 3 at top of stairs as it's a bit noisy. We stayed twice and loved it.

The hotel rooms are 'an addition' to a restaurant. Since it is closed on Wednesdays, there is no receptionist on that day, but they leave keys on the counter for arriving guests. The bathroom in our room was very small. Later at night, the guests leaving the restaurant would always wake us up. Wi-fi can be received only in one spot in the house. Especially their German promotional fliers stress that Wi-fi is available in every room. When I demanded Wi-fi, the owner told me that since this is a 'free service', they actually have no obligation to provide it. Further, they told me that the problem is with their internet provider. This is hard to believe, since the hotel's private internet has a strong signal anywhere in the hotel.

Wonderful place to stay in a charming village surrounded by spectacular mountains. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large rustic rooms. Restaurant is superb and patronized by locals. The fondues are heavenly. A great place to relax and unwind after hiking or skiing. About a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Very basic hotel for the price, don't expect sleep
Was relatively disappointed by the hotel - there were no staff on my first day, just a key and invalid Wifi password left at reception. Room was fine, though the bathroom was below average. Very frustratingly the bells from the church ring on the quarter hour starting at 4am, which is impossible to sleep through. Additionally the curtains are extremely thin. Breakfast is VERY average, with little variety and no hot option. When staff was present on my second day, they were not able to recommend hikes in the area. The restaurant was not open, which was not mentioned on their website and would have affected my choice to stay. Would not stay again.

I liked the hotel cleanliness, the food was fantastic evening and breakfast, easy to find with on site parking. Wi Fi not the best, only one person confident with English and Menu in German and so the man who spoke English had to translate it for us. I'd forgotten the big inconvenience of sharing bathroom and toilet facilities

We stayed here because of it's situation being convenient for travelling in various directions. What we didn't know before we went was that the hotel is near a church and the bells rang very loudly every quarter hour and a full 5 minutes at 7 am.

We are baffled that, in general, Swiss accommodation never includes tea making facilities which is absolutely standard in UK. Good buffet breakfast but Switzerland's 'black tea' is undrinkable. Andermatt was a good stopover place for travelling on the glacier express slow train route! (PS kettles are very cheap in the UK!)
