I recent stayed at this hotel and for the price it was great, the location was not bad was able to go to some of the malls and restaurants near by. The breakfast buffet is a plus. I have to give a shoutout to Margaret and the other young lady who cleaned our room during our stay in Feb 12-21 on the 3rd floor. They always did a superb job.

At check in was told room only booked for 1 person, eventually that was sorted then asked for payment, I had to show proof I had paid Expedia, took a long time to sort. In room there was no hot water, took nearly an hour to get sorted.

Ate in the restaurant - took an hour to place the order for our group and another hour for the food to arrive.

When it arrived it was not complete but even worse the bulk of the food was cold. Upon splitting the lobster from the surf and turf, it was rotten inside and smelly. Staff were unconcerned and I have had to raise it with central customer service

My recommendation is to stay at the hotel but not eat at the restaurant

We had a great time here during our 11 day stay. A heartwarming staff, excellent service, great room and a lovely restaurant on the premises. The area in front of the hotel where the swimming pool resides is a great to relax and enjoy some drinks and food. I really recommend the traditional baked pizzas!

My wife & I were extremely impressed by the Best Western Lusaka staff.

The friendly, professional and courteous was throughout the entire organization, from the Bellman to the Front Desk to the Restaurant staff ( including the Chef, the waitress, the Bartender), the Spa staff and the General Manager.

It was truly a pleasure and I look forward to returning one day.

The hotel itself was excellent and it a clean friendly environment. Restaurant should up their game, breakfast should require attention. The wi fi seems to be a big problem also. Staff very helpfull and friendly. Just a warning, the massage service offered is charged in USD and not in local currency.

The beds were very hard and upon looking it had no mattress just two box springs.

Staff were fab. Room very clean. Only thing wrong with this hotel is the very badly designed showers. Shower Head is at an angle that means the water either projects straight ahead or if you turn it to the side (to stop the jet of water in your face) the water collects in the ridged side of the bath with the same result- water all over the floor. I’ve actually not been to this otherwise great hotel for a couple of years because I got sick of mopping up the floor. Please sort that out BW

Close to Manda Hill, Cairo Road, Levy Mall - quite outdated. I booked this hotel because it was affordable and central. I was disappointed in the standard of upkeep, although renovations are currently happening, and the foam mattresses. We switched rooms due to a moldy smell in the bathroom and standing water. It is quite noisy being located on Great East road. Breakfast was fine but our other dining experience wasn't impressive. The water pressure was also lacking. Overall, an OK hotel but I was disappointed.

I know the hotel is busy revamping BUT really, should the customer be the one that is having the discomfort.
I have been moved between 4 rooms during my 3 day stay. If it is not the showers that does not work it is the no flushing toilets. Guys lets be fair, it is not a nice sight lifting up the toilet flap and some #### is starring at you. Why not warn you beforehand that they are busy with renovations, at least you can book somewhere else. I also found some cockroaches scaling the rooms. I had a chat with the manager and I understand his side of the problem and know he can only appologise so much. No guys, I really was not happy with my stay.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years and this was the first time that we were disappointed with our stay. We booked a room with a king size bed with lots of space, the room was very nice but there was water all over the floor in the bathroom when we arrived. The staff was very slow to respond. They finally decided to move us to a new room but there wasn't an equivalent room available. The room they gave us was a smaller room, smaller bed and the A/C was working but not very well. I wasn't the relaxing stay that we have had in the past and hoping for after a very busy 2 weeks working in a very rural community. We also ordered room service and one of the meals was over cooked.
All and all not a very relaxing night that we had hoped for!

This hotel was a great stay, staff were most helpful. The hotel offered a great large breakfast, the room was a good size, free and good wifi. What was needed was more towels and bathroom amenities. The pool was shut due to repairs, but that was fine as the weather was cool. The hotel had great concierge help, with a travel agency next door. They helped us with city tours, hotel shuttle and running errands.

I think Google is right about this place, it's a 2-star hotel. Location is good and it works for an overnight stay for just a bed, but the service is bad, breakfast buffet is below average, the bar is filled with ladies of the night (I did love the sign that no 'other guests' are allowed in the rooms anymore after 10pm) and the rooms are below average. Don't use the airport shuttle at night as they won't pitch up (my taxi driver said he made his living picking up stranded guests at the airport at night). Stay here when you can get a good price without any fancy expectations

This place is just okay. Not worth the star rating they are given. The staff is very friendly and professional from check in to check out. Although check in was a little surprising that I had to hand write my personal information. I feel that is waste of paper.
The room itself is what the description says it is. It is nice that you need your key card to turn on the electricity in the room. The aircon remote was in an asian language (which I have no idea how to read), so I was not sure what I was doing. There are limited amounts of electric plugs but I managed. The bed was really really HARD! The WI-FI, fridge, water heater, tea, and water in the room are a major plus! If they were not in the room, I would not have enjoyed my stay.
The bathroom really needs a complete renovation. The toilet uses way to much water for flushing, and the tub was cracked and repaired very poorly. I could easily hurt myself or make the crack bigger if I was not careful. Finally the shower head was poorly installed, clogged and leaked everywere.

The standard of service compared to similar starred properties is definitely unacceptable. No phone connection in the room and even after reporting the problems no action taken. Therefore could not access ‘Room Services’. I had to go all the way down four floors to request for emmenities etc.

Bed makes noice at the slightest movement. The bedding have lost color and appears to have been used and not washed. The worst 4* facility I have ever been to.

I was there one year ago and it was pretty decent, good value for money. This time it was literally a catastrophe as they seem to be running the hotel down and not putting sufficient effort into repairs, maintenance etc.. The first room they put me in was infested with mosquitoes, and electric wires were lying bare and connected to the mains on the desk. I complained, and got a new room. The second room there was water coming through the ceiling in the bathroom, and the toilet pipes had a leak -- essentially the bathroom was one big puddle and the ceiling was hanging lower every day. Staff was extremely unresponsive and slow, and didn't manage to get it fixed (or offer me a new room) within 2-3 days. Breakfast was pretty average at best, and there were prostitutes at the hotel bar every evening. All-round a very disappointing experience unfortunately.

Low average to poor hotel near central Lusaka

The hotel needs a good clean and a style that is less Chinese - the food is limited, and there is a mosquito problem. The 'pool' is dirty and not useable. The bathrooms -- I checked several rooms, were alll in need of renewal and one was not cleaned. Suspicion of bed bugs makes it all rather unattractive and I would never stay there again. The staff are ok but ove this is not a great place and there are other good choices which are worth looking for elsewhere.

Feels like this hotel is not maintained at all. The toilet in the room we got was not working, you couldn't flash it. You have to remove the cover and adjust the float so the water can start filling into the tank. Pressure of the cold water was so low that you couldn't take a shower unless it will be with a hot water. Second night we came and opened the door but the motor in the lock continued working and it was so noisy you couldn' fell asleep. The first suggestion from the receptionist was to sleep like that untill next morning when IT comes. We denied to stay and sleep with motor running in the lock so they moved us to the opposite room where we discovered that the toilet was blocked and any time it is flushed water was accumulated and not going through. We have been offered to move into the other room but when we checked the toilet it was the same issue, looks like the common line was blocked and not in the room. Never ever staying in this hotel and do not recommend anyone either.

We had a lovely stay and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast was good and offered a lot of choices except for traditional African food that my partner wanted. The room was clean and stocked but we had to ask for more towels as it was stocked for one person even though it was a double room booked for 2 guests. We asked for bathrobes but they did not have any.
