We booked Palmotta #4 for two nights (paid in full), #4 is on the \"first floor\". Croatia Airlines cancelled out flight into Dubrovnik (tire wouldnt hold air), so we were sent to Zagreb then the next day to Dubovnik. Meanwhile Palmotta Palace moved us to #9, 3rd floor. No elevator, step scary stairs. The receptionist was rude. All this being said, the location is great.

The room was OK, the bed was better than other properties in old town. Lots of space in the room and little extras. The only reason 1 star was left off is there was a horrible sewage smell from the bathroom that really needs to be fixed, it hit us right away every time we went in.

Best property, location and host ever! The apartment is centrally located in old town. Easy access to and from all the major landmarks and restaurants. Get dropped off at the entrance at Pile Gate and it’s a 5 minute walk (no stairs!!!)
Andrea, our wonderful host, couldn’t be more accommodating. So easy going and very kind. She helped us adjust our itinerary due to bad weather. The apartment - is so comfy and beautiful. We had the suite with 2 beds and sofa, kitchen… everything was perfect! Can’t wait to come back for another stay in the summer time.

Apartment was centrally located and kept in excellent condition except for the slow drains in the bathroom off the bedroom. The sink drained slowly, but was still
usable; the shower drain was so bad that it made taking a shower virtually impossible. This problem delayed our mornings since all four people now had to share one shower instead of having the use of two.
I would actually rate the property a 4.4, or 4.5 even with this issue if I could

Great Apartment in center of Old Town

Right in the middle of Old Town, the property was in a beautiful old building converted into our wonderful and convenient apartment. Just be prepared that being in the center of the hustle and bustle means hearing the nightlife and early morning street cleanup…but that’s to be expected and also nice to have such a clean town! The room(s) was spacious and the facilities had everything would could have needed! Most importantly, Andrea was a fantastic host. Her communication was friendly and easy and she even went above and beyond to help send an item that we forgot after check-out to our next location on our travels.

Wonderful deluxe apartment facing the Main Street. 3rd floor so no street noise with the windows closed and lovely and cool with the a/c on. Comfortable beds. Great water pressure in both bathrooms (love that and not always that way in other countries!). Many, many great restaurants and eateries within a few steps. Another advantage is that it is only minutes from Pile Gate and NO steps until you reach the apartments. Super easy to find and to check in. Keyless entry (no risk of losing the key). Safe in the wardrobe for valuables which was nice. We can’t wait to come back !

Ok so honest review. The apartment was beautiful and a good size. Great hot water and water pressure which can sometimes be an issue in old town. The lady at check in was super friendly and informative and getting in and out of the apartment was easy. You are literally in the middle of everything which brings me to the negative. Noisy all the time which is the trade off for being in the middle of everything. Noisy until late and noisy early in the am. The people above us were noisy as well all night. I unfortunately got food poisoning the first night and was stuck in the apartment for two days so when I say noisy all the time I mean it. Might be great for a younger party set.

Spacious, central accommodation for the old town of Dubrovnik.

The host who welcomes you in is amazing, really friendly and knowledgeable of the area, and can give you some great recommendations of things to do and good restaurants to eat.

The only issue is the noise. If you are there on a weekend, then there is a bar just outside the windows and main door, and so its loud...Friday it went quiet about 1am, Saturday about 3am, Sunday it was quiet from 11pm.

We had difficulty finding the apartment since entrance from the street is very poorly marked and its address was hard for us to understand. Once located, with help from a local and once communication with the property manager was established, then this place was absolutely great. Apartment is in ancient building but extremely modern and in convenient location, just off the Main Street.

Don’t stay here if you want to sleep at night! This place faces right into the main square of all the action. It was a non stop drunk fest all night long with young people screaming and yelling until 4am! When we finally fell asleep at just past 4am, the garbage truck came at 5:30 am and began dumping beer bottles into the truck from the restaurant below our suite. Got woken up again with the loud crashing of bottles right outside our window.
This place is super expensive and definitely not worth it. It’s crazy they can charge so much.
Also, the description says there are laundry facilities. There are none!

You're close to literally everything in old dubrovnik, but you're basically at ground level, so schlepping luggage up flights and flights of stairs is not necessary. like 1 minute from the pile gate. great and friendly bar immediately outside the door. the flat is perfect. awesome AC. clean. comf. i'd give it 6 stars if i could.

Property we stayed at was located just off the main promenade in Dubrovnik. Building and rooms were well kept and had a lot of character. First night stayed on first floor, which made for a noisy wake up call the next morning as restaurants below began their clean up at 5:30am. Management quickly moved us to a higher floor room, for our next night, which made for a quieter night stay.

We were given a digital code to our room which was easy to remember, since it was based off our room #. At first we thought, how convenient! Then realized, the code is probably never changed. Then also realized, the number logic probably applies to other rooms in the building (So, just replace a 3 with a 4, for example to access room 4). Confronted management about it, and they did not see any concern in not changing the hotel and room access codes, once a guest checks out. Basically, anyone who has stayed at the hotel, or who is a current guest, has the ability to access your room, if they are smart enough to realize the access codes don't change and that the same number logic is used for other rooms. So, it was a safety concerns, but luckily nothing happened.

Very unique blend of the old architecture with new modern elements. The apartment was very spacious with 2 full bathrooms. It is right at the main street of the old town so in a great spot to walk to many things in the old town.
If you can sleep through anything, then this isnt an issue. But if music, outdoor parties until 5am, street cleaning starting at 5am, and upstairs tenants are things you cannot sleep through, this is not the place to stay.
This same company has an amazing hotel and apartments along the promenade that are spectacular with many pools, beach access, restaurants and a cave bar. If you cant sleep through noise, book one of their other spots because they are incredible!!!!

Our Host Andrea was in communication with us days prior to our visit. With detailed turn by turn directions to the apartment and to where to stop with the Taxi…Pile gate. Very easy to access just steps from the main shopping street. No steps to get to it. Best location! All the amenities in the room were perfect. The only thing I can add is that if you have difficulty with stairs this location does not have a lift. Not a problem for us, but I know for others it may be. Overall would stay here again!

My family of four stayed here for 3 nights in early July/ 2022 and it was wonderful! The property was beautiful, spacious, clean and right in the center of Old Town Dubrovnik. The two air conditioners kept the apartment nice and cool during Croatia’s hot summer days.
My only minor complaint would be that because this apartment is smack dab in the center of town, it was a bit noisy at night…from the late bar crowds and the early morning deliveries. Other than that it was an amazing stay and we would highly recommend this property.

Great! Taxi from the bus station is about £12 and 15 mins—you’ll get dropped off at the main gate so you’ll need to walk with your luggage for a bit. Breakfast was included for us and was at a restaurant around the corner, but it wasn’t very good. The apartment has everything that you could possibly need and I really enjoyed my stay here.

Complete disappointment. On arrival, after climbing a lot of steps with our suitcases (and no help from staff), we had a depressing impression on seeing a dark and ugly apartment completely different from the luminous room shown on internet, with furniture that seemed like left-overs from older rooms and a dilapidated refrigerator. The sofa was far from comfortable. The only way to watch the only TV (with very limited options) was from the bed. At night we had problems to sleep because the windows are not good enough and we could hear the noise from the restaurants around, revelers shouting and singing, the cleaning and waste management machinery.... Dubrovnik is Dubrovnik, of course, and nothing is cheap, but I find unacceptable to charge more than $400 per night for what looks more a roadside motel than a \"deluxe apartment\".

I have a major concern with this property. The electronic sign in is not changed with each guest. I entered the same digits for the second floor as the third floor at the front door and apartment and each opened the door. MARCO gave us a copy of the code.

We were located on the third floor and MArco said he would return at check out to assist us with our bags. 2 days before said he had a meeting and would meet us at 1130 the next day for the additional fees. No way. We left the fees upon discharge.

When dealing with Marco, we felt he was in a terrible rush .

Due to some events outside of our control we spent very little time in the apartment. Practically few hours to get some sleep. The apartment is very nice, clean, perfectly located in the middle of the Old Town. As soon as you walked out the door you are on the famous Stradun, the heart of the Old Town. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the parking info. The apt is not for people with disabilities because of very narrow stares. Taking luggage up to the second floor was a bit challenging. If you come with a car be aware of the crazy parking situation. The apartment owners offer a free parking at the Hotel More, which is 4-5 miles away, which was nice.

It was an effort getting to the apartment but it was worth the effort. Navigating through the crowds with luggage was hard work. Luckily the apartment was just off the main thoroughfare so no additional stairs to negotiate.

Once inside the unit block we had to lug our bags 3 levels, this was the only downside. The unit itself had everything, there was nothing to complain about.

Everything now is in walking distance.

Great find at heart of city

Clean, smart, comfortable and well appointed apartment right in the heart of Dubrovnik, easily reached from Pile Gate and no steps to battle.
20 metres up a side alley of Stadun, the reception staff were all friendly and welcoming. The room is quiet despite being so close to the action. Excellent breakfast arrangement with a nearby restaurant too.
Only thing to note - there are stairs to climb to reach your room.

Apartments more is in a great spot in Dubrovnik old town. The communication, good service, clean, neat, large apartment were all fabulous. The only down fall in the middle of summer is that you can here some of those that like to party all night and the cleaners in the morning. Though they didn’t wake us, if we happen to wake they can be heard continuously through the night. Also just be aware there are stairs to the apartment so you need to be able to lift your luggage up and down possibly several flights. Overall though it was a very lovely stay at these apartments.

The apartment was beautiful. It was very clean, and the kitchen was nice, particularly in Dubrovnik where going out 3 meals per day gets expensive quickly. The decorations were modern with high ceilings and comfortable beds. It also included breakfast at a local restaurant. The only problem was the area, which is not the hotel's fault; Dubrovnik is extraordinary loud until 4-5 am with drunk people roaming the streets, yelling and singing. If you are a very late night person, their would be a better option for you, we however, like to sleep during the evening, so while we loved the hotel, we would likely stay outside of the city walls next time.

Fabulous historical location, with wonderful hosts

Terrific location just off the main street (Stradun). Great base to explore the old town but get out before the *hoards* arrive from the cruise ships when the place becomes way too busy.

The hosts are terrific and only too pleased to help.

I would reiterate the previous reviews about the stairs: we were on the top floor and are fortunate to be fit and well. However, 3 long flights of stairs around corners may be too difficult for some.

We took the airport shuttle to Pile Gate (first stop) and then it's a short walk down Stradun to the apartment - look out for Gil restaurant and go up that alley to No 1 which is opposite their kitchen door.

The airport shuttle back is from the cable car which mean either a long walk around via Pile Gate or climbing up the steep stairs to the North Gate!

Breakfasts were good at the very near restaurant (with voucher) and loads of choice.

Take one of the many boat trips to nearby islands to escape the crowds and see the scars left by the war on the abandoned buildings in the nearby bays. Cavtat is wonderful and such a contract. There is a great headland walk. Book your trip the day before for a cheaper ticket!

We were there when Croatia won the world cup semi final - what an atmosphere!!!

Our apartment was very nice, but had residual smell of cigarette smoke from the previous renter. dishes in the dishwasher had not been washed, either.

All the windows had been opened in the apartment when we checked in, which we had to close before sleeping due to the city noise. This is expected, though, because the rental is right next to the main street in Dubrovnik old town.

We would probably rent from them again, but probably choose a different unit and request ahead of time that there be no issues in terms of smell or allergens (smoke) before check-in. We understand that in European countries, smoking is much more common, but the apartment should be smoke and odor-free.

We loved the location of this hotel and were given vouchers for breakfast in the restaurant very close by with real fresh and tasty food.
We were met at the city gate (Pile) by an employee of the owner who helped us carry our suitcase through the pedestrian free walled city. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor and had many steps but we got used to them pretty fast. We had a comfy sitting room a small but efficient kitchen and amazingly enough a washer and dryer and central air conditioning. Although we were in the middle of the city there was no noise in our apartment.

Lovely apartment, very central location in the old town, not as light as it appears on the photograph and would have loved shutters to be open on arrival, I loved that they looked so light and airy on their photos, this wasn’t our initial impression. Furnishings lovely, quality lovely.
Our only disappointment was the breakfast box, having collected the evening before as we had an early departure, the bread was inedible, lots of jams, juice etc, but they need to rethink the bread, maybe substitute with croissants that don’t dry out overnight.
Also, maybe a welcome tray with tea, coffee, as we were there for only one night, we didn’t have anything for hot drink in the morning.

Brilliant place to stay in Dubrovnik Old Town. Perfectly located in the centre of the old town just off the Main Street. Within 5 minutes walk to everything in the old town. Very friendly staff. Superior apartment was lovely and clean. Everything we needed for a city break.

Only thing I would mention is our apartment was on the top floor which involved 5 flights of fairly steep stairs which was okay for us as we are fit and able but wouldn't be suitable for people who can not do lots of stairs.

Apartments More Dubrovnik

Travelling with an 11 year old boy, really central place to stay in this beautiful city. As per previous reviews Apartment More has stairs and being so central can be a little noisy in the evenings/early mornings with street life but we enjoyed being close to the action, beds were comfortable and shutters got the room really dark so both slept well. On the first night we couldn't figure out how to get hot water in the shower but it was sorted out very quickly (thankyou Nika!). (a button needs to be pressed to turn the temperature control round further). We had appartment 2, this one has the dark wood furniture; our booking had the white room in the picture which I'd have preferred but the dark wood one was still great, lots of character! There were plenty of towels etc, bathrobes and slippers and toiletries provided. Recommend.

Very nice suite in a terrific location

I couldn't be more pleased with this choice. It was a very nicely furnished, roomy apartment at fair price, much lower than most of the properties I reviewed and the location cannot be beat. You are right in the middle of the magic of Old City Dubrovnik.

Great location, breakfast was included and it was perfect, served at a nearby cafe. Our apartment was in 3rd floor so it was a bit of a hike upstairs (no elevator, so travel very light). Shower was lukewarm/cool...could not get hot water in shower

More care needed

Although the location in the heart of the old city was exactly what we planned the apartment was a little disappointing. More care needs to be taken with maintenance - the shower door was off the runners and so did not close properly, kitchen tap did not work properly and nor did the washing machine. Also be aware there is no elevator so access to apartments is via a steep set of stairs which is a big effort especially with suitcases and your apartment is on the third level!

Location, Location, Location!

Apartments More is right in the heart of Old Town and the location is unbelievable if you like to be where the action is. Be aware that if you want quiet and relaxation this hotel is not for you. The rooms were clean and quite large with a separate bedroom and kitchenette area which housed the sofa bed. Our apartment was on the third floor (which was fine with us) but be prepared for stairs. There were also two additional apartments on the second and first floors. Staff were wonderful, carrying my suitcase up the stairs (no lift), answering all questions and arranging a taxi for us to the airport. Would definitely stay again.

That was a magical place to visit! This apartment was located in the heart of the old walled city and completely accessible by walking. Ton's of restaurants and beautiful views all around. Nika was delightful and the apartment was so sweet. Would recommend to anyone, except if you have mobility issues, as it was a bit of a stair climb, which was great exercise, but would be difficult for folks with impaired mobility.

Great location

The apartment is right off of Stradun in the old city, so it's very convenient and you don't have to go up stairs to get there. However, you will have to climb stairs inside the building to the apartment.
The room was very nice and comfortable.

My only complaint is that the hotel offered free breakfast at Cafe Festival just down the street. We were told they opened at 7:30, but when we got there they opened at 8 in the winter. It was 7:53 AM,and we went in and they told us they didn't open til 8 AM which is fine, no problem there. However, we sat down in their cafe chairs outside to wait 7 min until they opened.

A man came out of the restaurant and told us we could not sit there. We told him we were just waiting for them to open so we could eat there. He told us we could absolutely not do that. There was no one else sitting in any of the chairs, so it's not like we were taking seats away from customers. It was extremely rude, and we didn't eat there at all even though we had the free vouchers. Apartments More should reconsider their affiliation with this cafe because it reflects poorly on the apartments which are otherwise wonderful.

Perfect location, great apartment

The manager Nika was fantastic from the moment we arrived.
She actually met our taxi in the carpark, guided and assisted with our luggage to our apartment.

We had a few issues with our departure flights being cancelled and I cannot express how pleasing it was that Nika also did everything she could which was above and beyond her duty.

The apartment is clean, tidy, and really well maintained in a perfectly located in the heart of the old town, definitely worth considering this apartment for Dubrovnik.

The location is great in the heart of old town Dubrovnik and centrally located to everything. Nika, the apartment manager, was amazing and so incredibly helpful during our stay! Her recommendations were spot on, she assisted us in booking restaurant reservations, provided suggestions on tours and activities that we loved. It was our honeymoon and they gave us a bottle of wine to make it extra special too! Great place and would definitely recommend to others! Only caution would be if stairs are a challenge, make sure you ask for a lower room.

Apartments More was one of my favorite hotels we have ever stayed in. The room was much more than we imagined. We stayed in the Superior 1 bedroom suite, and it was amazing. We had a bedroom, full kitchen with dishwasher, coffee maker and stove, dining/living room and a bathroom. There was even a washer and dryer, which was AMAZING because we were able to do our laundry.

The suite was cozy, clean, and HUGE. We were up on the third floor. Warning to some that the hotel does not have an elevator because of the preservation of the old city, so you will need to talk up steps to your room.

We had read some complaints about the old city being too loud to sleep at night, but we did not have that problem. We slept comfortably, and through the night, thanks to the A/C!

I would highly recommend you stay here. It is within the city walls and close to all the action. It is steps away from a major side street with TONS of cafes and restaurants. We ventured out into the other parts of Dubrovnik, and we were so thankful that we chose to stay where we did as it is in the middle of all the action and close to everything you want to see.

Great location, great space

When everything in Dubrovnik is bursting with noise and the charm of small spaces, the Apartments More offer space and quietness, much appreciated after long days of visits and climbing stairs in any possible direction. But careful to people with limited mobility: there is no lift and the steps are steep inside the building!

Beautiful apartment in Dubrovnik

We stayed here during our honeymoon. It was more than we expected for the price. The location couldn't have been better.

It's right off the main drag making it very convenient to stop in and out as necessary. I would really not want to stay at another apartment further up the hill. Dragging your bags that far would be tough.

Nika was fantastic and helped with everything we asked. She even helped us book tickets to our next destination (something that would have been very difficult without us speaking the language, the website was not in English).

I couldn't recommend this place anymore and if we're ever back, this will be the place we stay. Thanks again!
