When we checked in, I handed the information to the front desk as the reservation was under my name, we were told to wait in the lobby and someone would come to us and explain everything such as where the breakfast and the public bath were located at, one of the male front desk returned the passports to my husband instead of me, and he started explaining everything to my husband only and ignored my daughter and I while we were sitting together, I was confused then I realised that because of we are female so he doesn’t talk to us? This is very rude and disrespectful to me and my daughter especially when the reservation is under my name. Other than that everything was great, the sea views from the room and the in room open air onsen was incredible as well as the public bath, we enjoyed our stay. It would have been perfect if my daughter and I were treated respectfully while checking in.

I hope the western breakfast combinations would be better in the future. The western options are kinda awkward and doesn't pair well (eg. eggs benedict with sausage/nuggets and no hashes). However, the Japanese variant is great

Had a lovely one-night staybat the resort. Enjoyed our private onsen and the many amenities the room offered (including no less than 4 different types of slippers :) for various uses.
Breakfast selection was really good, with both a Japanese and Western spread.
Would have loved to stay another night and discover Beppu a bit more.

Absolutely the Best

Absolutely wonderful. It is a little pricey for the area and there are a lot more places cheaper, but this place is worth every cent. The service is impeccable, and every one treats you top notch with a smile. Rooms are very roomy for a Japanese Hotel and the view is amazing, especially the sunrise. The onsen is absolutely amazing as well. I plan to stay again in the future.

A wonderful place to stay with personal onsen in the room as well as public onsen right on the sea. The room was excellent and spacious, the staff were delightful and friendly, breakfast was outstanding. The dinner was also excellent though there were limited dining options available. This a place well worth going a long way to stay.

やまぎしさん was very helpful! He shower great hospitality and was able to provide much assistance to help make the most of my short stay.

The room was AMAZING! The room onsen was nice and hot. The view was great and had everything you could ask for. I really enjoyed the senbei and haori jacket- great for photo opportunity.

I did not dine at the hotel but had some great whiskey at the bar. The bartenders were excellent- wish I got their name to give them credit.

Breakfast buffet was excellent with a nice view.

There was a small issue with our taxi to Beppu Station and the staff member (I did not catch his name) drove me to the airport! It was a very nice experience and I can appreciate the high level of hospitality.

We stayed in the suite with private pool. Pleasant stay. Orbitz doesn't give you option of dining in room or upgrading menu.

Also valet is only upon arrival,

The location of the hotel is excellent, not too far from downtown but with sufficient privacy next to the ocean. The hotel room and facilities are actually older and more worn than what we had imagined from the photos. The hotel onsen area could use some renovation in addition to upgrading of amenities as everything just seemed old in consideration of the price per night.

The property is excellent. Our unhappiness stems from the fact that when we booked the two identical suites for our family trip of 3 adults and one child, there was an extra charge for an “extra guest” for the room where one adult and one child is staying. I failed to understand the logic. When we wrote to Expedia for an explanation, it was just directed to the hotel.
The hotel responded that to avoid this extra charge, we can rebook the room under 2 adults, instead of 1 adult and 1 child (since our child is 12 years old). We did not do that as the price of the room has already increased at that time.
We approached the hotel staff during our stay regarding this issue and they informed us that they do not have a policy to charge extra for a child and they are not aware of the reason why Expedia imposed additional charges for an extra guest.
Basically, both Expedia and the hotel could not explain the additional charge and we had to accept this extra payment which seems very unreasonable and illogical.

The staff are so accommodating. You feel.like loke a \"guest\" rather than a customer. We made reservations at the hotel restaurant and told our hotel assistant that we had fish allergies. When we showed up.for dinner they.presented a personalized menu just for us. One.of the best hotel experiences we have ever had.

Wonderful hotel in Beppu with great experience

We never left the hotel for the one night since we checked in. From the check in experience to dining at Gen restaurant, everything was perfect. We enjoyed the private onsen in our room and would definitely return whenever we are in the area. Thank you for making our Kyushu trip memorable.

Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel in Beppu. From arrival to departure the staff, including Mr. Ohkubo, provided exceptional hospitality and service. Our room was upscale spacious, clean, modern and equipped with all the amenities that the most demanding guest would want. The furo/spa facilities were clean and well stocked with needed supplies. The food and restaurants in the hotel are excellent and can cater to any diner's needs. Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel to relax and enjoy being catered to by one of the most accommodating staff of people in Japan. We highly recommend Shiosai no yado Seikai to any traveler looking for an upscale onsen/hotel and look forward to staying there again on our next visit to Beppu.

Hands down the best Japanese hotel/spa we have stayed at so far. The staff was very welcoming. We each hour our own kimono to wear around the hotel! I loved our room. It was surprisingly spacious. Our view was great and we had our very own natural hot spring bath. The only dislike I have is I thought the bed was way too hard for me. Other then that, we will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful ocean view with Onsen

Very nice hotel with private Onsen and public Onsen. We woke up early to catch the sunrise while enjoying the public Onsen. The view was spectacular !

I had some itchy rash after the private Onsen on your first night, maybe I had too much Onsen the day before in Kurokawa, and the minerals were too strong for my sensitive skin.

The central area is 15 -20 mins drive away. Food at the hotel is pricy but good.

We extremely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a Japanese room with water view. Very beautiful, excellent amenities. The hotel is on the water, very beautiful views from hotel lobby and all the rooms. The hotel staff is the very best! We were well taken care of during our stay. Every single staff member is kind, courteous, attentive and very helpful. The restaurants in the hotel are excellent. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The hotel had there own Onsen on the property. We are excited to return to this hotel in the future!

A hotel that make you feel like home

We stay at a room with both Japanese style and European style. There was also a private onsen to enjoy any time. In fact, nothing is missing in the room and we feel like home. It is worth to mention the balcony facing east and we saw the sun rise inside the room when the weather was fine. Surely will recommend to my friends.

This hotel was incredible from beginning to end.
We walked the short 5 minutes from the nearest JR train station and was immediately greeted by bellhops that took our luggage and brought us into the hotel reception area. The gentleman that checked us in spoke excellent English and explained to us every detail we would need to know while at the hotel.
The room was fantastic! Very Japanese in style, with the water closet at the front door in its own little room, and the bathroom inside the room by the windows. The bathroom has a powder room, then further in is a shower area, and then even further in there is a private onsen bathtub that is open to the outside. The room also has a balcony that we sat on to enjoy watching the sun rise right over the ocean.
We had the Japanese-style meal for our dinner. I did not love everything during the meal, but it was all quite good regardless. They have an excellent selection of sake, and the fish is always fresh and whatever is in peak season.
The hotel has two public baths; one is outdoors, and one is indoors on the top floor. We went only to the indoor bath, and it was very nice. Men and women are separate, of course, so I can't comment on the women's onsen. There was no cold pool, but three different temperature hot pools, ranging from warm to quite hot. I saw a very pretty and rather large butterfly while relaxing in the pool, and also a couple of interesting insects.
We only stayed one night, and very much wish we had stayed longer.

スタッフの対応が、どの方も好感の持てる対応で気分が良かったです。客室、設備、素晴らしかったです。朝食ブュッフェの時、女性の年配（すみません）の方ですが、美味しいスムージーを教えてくれたり、家族写真を撮ってくれたり、親しみやすく対応してくれました。ただサイド用の布団カバーがサイズが合ってなくて、丸まってしまい、寝心地悪かったのが残念でした。

D2룸 이용했습니다.

전반적으로 숙박시설이 깨끗하고 차분한 분위기인 것이 가장 마음에 들었습니다. 조식도 가짓수가 엄청 많지는 않지만 잘 채워지고 있었습니다. 저는 D2룸에 묵었는데 바다가 정말 가깝게 느껴져서 눈이 행복했습니다. 다만 여자 대욕장에서 사람이 있음에도 불구하고 야경 사진을 찍는 사람이 있어서 불쾌했습니다. 대욕장 시설은 깔끔했으며 드라이룸이 개별로 준비되어 있어서 이용이 편했습니다. 웰컴드링크를 마실 수 있는 장소도 분위기가 좋았습니다. 직원은 질문에 친절하게 답해주었으며

非常棒的五星飯店，自駕剛抵達飯店人員會幫忙謝行李及泊車服務，接待到寬敞的沙發空間進行入住流程，完全能照顧到遊客疲憊的精神，抵達時間已晚錯過了下午茶，還是有免費提供酒水讓我們帶回去房間，也有給我們日出時間房間可以直接享受日出美景。房間寬敞設有溫泉池及陽台。非常舒服

Apart from the nice room, the relaxing private open air bath and the fabulous breakfast, it was the wonderful members of staff who made the whole experience so special that we were reluctant to leave. Dinner at Gen, especially regarding the very tasty first dishes, was quite good, too.The Oita course at the seafood restaurant, however, is apparently meant to cater to the tastes of overseas visitors; the portions are much too large to be truly enjoyable (esp. the toriten).

호화로운 신상 리조트입니다. 체크인 과정에서부터 인피니티 뷰의 라운지에서 웰컴 드링크를 주는 것부터 고급 리조트 느낌이 나고, 대욕탕은 엄청 화려하진 않지만 고급스러운 느낌이 있고 역시 인피니티 풀처럼 세팅된 오션뷰 노천탕이 독특한 경험을 줍니다. 룸 갯수가 많지 않아 전반적으로 여유로운 경험을 할 수 있습니다. 룸 타입에 따라 다르겠지만 전통적인 다다미와 서양식 거실이 혼합된 스위트가 유니크한 느낌을 주고 룸에 있는 프라이빗 노천탕도 좋았습니다. 벳부 온천마을에서 떨어진 해안가에 자리잡고 있어서 주변에 아무것도 없는 느낌이 듭니다.

貼心的服務、一流的享受

雖然Hotels.com標示4星級，我覺得值5星。酒店對客人非常細心，入住登記時職員很詳細解釋酒店設施，房間很大，玄關、衣帽間、私人溫泉、浴室、洗臉間都是獨立空間的，窗外是無敵海景，床大到2大2小都無問題。房間的獨立溫泉每晚回去泡湯是一流的享受。早餐選擇非常多，餐廳、大堂都是無敵海景，大堂設有免費咖啡機，坐在大堂享受咖啡非常舒服。酒店位置距離別府站約20分鐘巴士，外面就有巴士站，10-15分鐘路程就可以走到別府大學站坐JR火車，附近食店不多，只有一家迴轉壽司和KFC。交通方便程度不及火車站旁邊的酒店，但仍是很值得推薦的溫泉酒店。

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The place has a nice view and a pleasant atmosphere. The room size was huge, which made my stay very comfortable. The onsen (hot spring) in room was also very nice and clean, providing a relaxing experience. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of options and the dinner was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay with great views, spacious rooms, and tasty meals.
