Great property located at the expo. It’s within walking distance to the expo. It works as a business hotel. Only thing is that I was staying at lower levels and the water pressure from the shower was terrible. At some point, there was no hot water as well. They do not have an iron in the room despite being a business hotel. It’s quite unusual to be sharing iron board in a common laundry room. Aside from that, the hotel worked.

Had a pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Express Jakarta Simatupang for a night. The hotel offers great value for the price, making it a solid choice for a short stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials.

One of the highlights of this property was the nice new pool (Which you rarely find in other Holiday Inn Express), . Definitely a good option for those looking for a budget-friendly yet comfortable stay in the area. Thank you!

Hotel is too isolated in the middle of the expo centre. There are no eateries around the hotel unless you drive out. It is unsafe to come back alone to hotel. If you are stranded any where in the expo if you plan to walk in, you will be rob. It is dark and feeling unsafe. Restaurant for breakfast is small, table and chairs setting are
cónjested, so avoid eating breakfast in the Peak hours in morning.

the hotel is mainly catering to people visiting the Jakarta Expo as there are no dining or retail facility within walking distance from hotel. During expo, the breakfast area is clearly not able to cope as breakfast area is very small and cramp and makes breakfast time very uncomfortable.

The actual hotel was good.The breakfast was really tasty and the room was clean, stocked with name brand toiletries/ water, and had a very comfortable bed. But if you're here for the Java Jazz Fest like I was, you'll find it very difficult to actually get there on foot as there is no direct path from the hotel to the Convention Center and the way that Google Maps takes you is very dangerous (not like crime. The street itself is pedestrian hostile) If you're not here for any event in the convention center then this is a good choice for you! (Just take a taxi to a metro station)

Overall, It presents what you expect from a hotel that is near the expo.
Walking distance from the expo. Decent Wifi, Decent breakfast.
Only issue is there is no store in walking distance. So if this is your first time in Indonesia, make sure you got your delivery app under control.

Nothing in the area so it was quiet and peaceful. Starbucks in the building is to save you from the dismal breakfast.

Despite that it's a nice hotel, good staff and the gym is good enough for an hour ot two workout.

It is a good hotel if you were to stay there to attend events and exhibitions in JIEXPO. You could literally walk to JIEXPO from hotel to avoid traffic congestion in Jakarta.

The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is clean and bed is comfy. The breakfast is ok with limited selection though.

One thing that the hotel must improve is the food served at the restaurant downstairs. As there is no other restaurants nearby, I have to dine at this restaurant during my few night stays here. The beef steak I've ordered is so hard to chew and swallow. The Caesar Salad is filled with half bowl full of dressing. Even the simplest fried rice could be so salty. I gave up and had an instant noodle in the room instead on the final night of my stay here.

Would like to compliment Zacky, the staff at the dining area, as the food wasnt up to standard, he did rectification and was sincere in offering other alternative, bring the customer service up the next level. Steven, whereas on front desk, displayed utmost honesty as i have lost my pouch, was found and returned with everything in order. If the management of holiday inn express is seeing this, please give these 2 personnel a promotion, as they definitely make a difference in staying at your hotel.

I booked this hotel for my recent trip to Java Jazz Festival. The hotel is walking distance (about 10mins) to the main entrance of JI Expo. I manage to check in earlier and the AC was on so the room was already in a good temp for me to rest. I love the bed & I was given 2 pillows (soft & hard) and they are perfect for me. Room & bathroom are clean. Hotel staff is friendly & helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here. This hotel really close to Jakarta International Expo. Great choice if you plan to visit Pekan Raya Jakarta Event. Maybe for parking lot, you have to do more effort since the space is not spacious enough especially when you check in at the late night.

Spend 6 nights in this hotel due to the exhibition, walking distance (3 min) to the Jakarta International Expo. Surrounding got no shopping, no 7-11, only a Startbuck next to the lobby, but it's quite easy to get a taxi/uber/Grabcar to the shopping mall (Mangga 2 Square where Novotel, Ibis Style located) nearby, Taxi around Rp. 30,000/- Grabcar/Uber Rp. 12,000/-.
Opposite the hotel is local residential area (10~15 min walk), you can get local food, mobile phone shop, convenient store. No too bad if you like to explore around and experience local life style.
Overall nice stay, friendly staffs, up to the standard breakfast, room size is standard and clean. TV channel is great.

Have a good stay, hotel still new, there's gym and starbucks also.
All is ok but it seems lack of officers standby. When ordering foods and ask for billing, I need to ask reception to take my order and find the waitress as well when doing payment. Restaurant not prepare enough food for breakfast. There's a large group stayed at that time and the food trays totally empty. Need to wait and it took some time. Not quiet a breakfast I can say.

Far From The Madding Crowd

I was on my own on this trip and decided on the Holiday Inn Express International Expo, Kemayoran, because it was reasonably priced. But I ended up spending quite a bit on taxi fares because most of the places I needed to be were located in South Jakarta. Daily taxi fares to and from the hotel cost me around Rp250,000 per day.

Unless there's something going on at the Expo, the Holiday Inn Express is in a rather isolated and quiet area. Mind you, that's not such a bad thing in noisy, chaotic Jakarta. But with no 24-hour room service and only a Starbucks on the ground floor, with not much else in the neighbourhood within walking distance, you're pretty much on your own, high and dry, once you return to the hotel late at night.

My second stay here, and i was assigned a room in the middle, with a closed connecting door. I am not sure if it is because of the connecting door, or because the wall itself is just very poorly isolated, we could hear people talking next door at conversation level. We don't even need to be close to the wall to hear it.

Secondly, i now realized the hotel has an underground parking, but for some reason the guards doesn't allow us to park there, even though the outside uncovered parking was under heavy rain. This really irks me quite a bit, as i took the elevator down to see that the parking lot was indeed empty (and large).

This Hotel is relatively new, located within the JI Expo Complex. The room is larger than most other hotels nearby for the price, they give you free (basic) breakfast. What this hotel wins is in comfort and quietness of stay, because there is nothing to see nearby. It has large parking space, and a Starbucks downstairs.

As mentioned before it has nothing worth seeing nearby if you are not here to stay for the expo, so think twice about those taxi fees.
