It did the job for a quick trip where we only needed the room for sleeping. Some of the sheets were stained. The room had a strong musty/earthy smell and the breakfast options were not really abundant.
The staff was really helpful and kind. The area was quiet and we couldn't really hear the other people staying at adjacent rooms. All the time I stayed there, I felt safe.

We stayed here for a baseball tournament weekend, and I would warn other tournament families before booking.

The main issue was the front desk employee, Cindy. She was rude, accusatory, and claimed our kids were running the breezeway, slamming doors, and knocking on rooms she “saw on camera.” The problem was one of the families she blamed was not even at the hotel at the time.

She also questioned my husband repeatedly when he asked for an extra sheet for our son and again when he asked for a washcloth. Completely unnecessary and very unwelcoming.

The rooms were okay overall but had a musty smell. There was also a strong smell of weed outside often.

I noticed other reviews mentioning rude front desk staff, and now I understand exactly what they meant. Management should address this immediately because one employee can absolutely ruin the experience for paying guests. We will not stay here again, and I would not recommend this hotel to tournament families looking for a comfortable, family-friendly stay.

The remote to the TV did not have batteries. I went to the desk she gave me batteries. The remote still did not work on the TV. The desk lady came to look at she could not fix it. They have a sign that says if something is broken your stay is free. That didn’t happen after asking they advised me they would refund me $20.00 which didn’t go to my credit card. They said I would have to contact Expedia because I booked through them.

I will not stay there again the drain in the shower/tub was also not attached.

The breakfast bar was pretty good! That was the best part of the stay!

I'd stay here again. It's definitely an older property, but was clean and the staff was pleasant. The room had an old smell, but not a bad smell. The continental breakfast was sufficient but not great for those watching blood sugar or carbs, or wanting protein options.

Stayed 3 days on a business/personal tripRoom wasn’t clean unless asked. The first room assigned had a weird smell. Rooms changed and better. Front desk attendant sprayed room. One night the room door would not open with key card, so clerk called to open door. Front desk clerk was nice and helpful. Did not try breakfast. Overall it’s a very basic hotel only good for a few nights rest.

The room smelled. There was a roach crawling on our wall. They didn't clean the room, you had to take your dirty towels to geo t desk to get clean ones. The ac kept on sutti g off regardless of the set temperature. I was very disappointed from what expedia presented vs what I received.

When we arrived to our room there was a bit of water on the floor area of the bathroom and vanity area. I thought that maybe they just cleaned and it was damp from the mop.
In the middle of the night I went to the bathroom and it was about a quarter inch deep amount of water that was coming up through the floor. We contacted the office and they said the manager would be in around 10 am. Finally when she came she said she would have to determine if we needed a different room or not which I found odd seeing as though there was water all in the floor. We literally had to wait on maintenance to come and say that we could move to a different room. The maintenance guy even asked well how much longer are you gonna be here as if he just wanted us to ride it out. I just completed a cross country trip across the US and not one problem. Come to Greenwood Baymont and it was awful.

Wish I could go back and time and stayed elsewhere

Despite decent online ratings (7.5/10 overall, 8.0/10 for my room type), my experience was terrible. Upon entering, I immediately noticed a strong musty smell and excessive humidity despite the AC running. The bathroom floor felt slick and left dark residue on my bare feet - absolutely disgusting. This residue was also on the carpet throughout the room, making it sticky to walk on. I wish i'd bought some flip-flops to walk in, but i didn't.
I requested a room change but was told they were \"fully booked\" on a Thursday evening. However, the front parking lot had only 3 cars, and even when i checked out early the next morning, occupancy appeared well below capacity. Only 2 other guests were at the 7:20am breakfast, which consisted of basic cold items (cereal, toast, bagels) with minimal hot options.
The front desk staff was polite, but the room conditions were unacceptable. The humidity and cleanliness issues mentioned in other reviews are real problems that management needs to address. For the slightly higher price compared to nearby options, you'd expect basic cleanliness standards to be met.

Bottom line: Save your money and book elsewhere. The musty smell and dirty floors made for an uncomfortable stay that no amount of savings can justify unless you are really desperate.

i never write reviews, but i rely on them immensely when booking, which is why i felt compelled to leave one for this stay.

The tooth brushing residue still sprayed on the mirror was disgusting! The carpet was dirty and the handle on a dresser drawer was missing a screw and one side hung down. The stairs to the second floor on my end of the building were taped off as was the end room upstairs. Not sure what that was about.
Seems like a lot of neglect and an overhaul is due.

Picked the hotel to have a pool. Checked in and was told pool should be open and later was told it was closed for the day. Wanted to see about canceling to go somewhere else but was stuck due to the fact we walked into the room. Put a bad taste for the property for me. The staff was very polite and professional.

If you’re desperate…

Ac unit made a metal on metal squealing sound. Maid service staff were loud and rude. Older place, needs maintenance for the scuff marks on the door and worn out dirty carpet. Felt like they have not shampooed the carpets in a very long time.

We have stayed here in the past without any issues. During this trip, when we first walked in the bathroom we noticed 2 used washcloths hanging over the shower rod. The toilet is old. Sometimes the tank of the toilet did not refill immediately after flushing. At one point I had to take the lid off the back (tank) of the toilet and tap the plumbing mechanism within the tank so that the tank could fill with water. Also the the sitting chair is comfortable however it is quite stained. I recommend replacing the toilet and replacing the sitting chair & ottoman.

We were in town for my son's Lander orientation....the location was perfect! We took full advantage of the amenities! The pool was wonderful, the fitness center was great and the breakfast was great! The room (319) was very humid regardless of the temperature and wreaked of a heavy chlorine odor. The furniture was damaged and the light fixtures had rust on them.

We were allowed to only have one set of towels each due to the possibility of the hotel \"running out\" even though they weren't at more than 70% capacity the whole weekend.

The building they use for serving breakfast was actively being renovated (cabinet doors removed and large buckets of paint were in the open for guests to see).

This was a very disappointing experience especially for a property under the umbrella of Baymont.

I’ve stayed many times, although Baymont is really dated it’s clean and people are nice. This time the chair in the room was FILTHY and there was damage on the night stand. The lock on the door didn’t function properly. I needed to get the lady at the desk to help and she said “ it’s fine, sometimes it works and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t “. Disappointed in this stay.

When I checked in, I was given a room that smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. It was awful! I went back to the front desk, the clerk gave me another room and it still smelled like cigarettes. I was exhausted from traveling and very disappointed in this hotel!
