The pool was not opened for use. The room smelled like people chain smoked in it for a month straight. We had to buy a can of air freshener and leave the door open. The floor was filthy. We could feel the grit beneath our feet and the bottom of our socks turned black. They definitely needed to perform maintenance, especially the rust and calcium build up in the tub. DON'T drink the tap water; it's terrible tasting. There was trash on the ground around the property. The pillows were like plastic bags with stuffing, they crinkled when we moved our heads. The only \"real\" pillow on each bed was past it's time. The WiFi connection was terrible, so I had to use my phone as a \"hot spot\".

It's cheaper than other hotels I found in the area, but I would recommend spending the extra cash to get better accommodations. This was a last minute trip and we were tight on money, otherwise I'd have booked something different. The best I can say is it served it's purpose. We were out of the weather and had somewhere to sleep and bathe. The location was very close to everything we needed at least.

Bed was comfortable, fridge and A/C worked. Those were the only positives. Shower drain clogged immediately, large trash cans placed in front of rooms were overflowing, microwave door wouldn't open, lamps kept flickering, you could see daylight thru the entry door and crooked door frame and adjacent rooms throwing parties. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I booked a King Suite with a Hot Tub at the Knights Inn Ashland via Hotels.com. When I arrived at 2:00 AM, the check-in process was confusing; the staff member seemed new or unsure of the procedure.
The first room I was given was not what I booked—it lacked the hot tub and was not clean. I was moved to a second room, but it had two queen beds instead of the King I paid for. Exhausted and needing sleep before the 11:00 AM checkout, I gave up on trying to get the correct room.
Beyond the room discrepancies, there were several maintenance and amenity issues:
• No Room Phone: There was no phone in the room, so I had to use my personal cell to call the front desk.
• Missing Items: Despite booking a smoking room, no ashtrays were provided.
• Maintenance: The bathroom vent was completely non-functional.
I am very disappointed that I didn't receive the specific room type or the functional amenities I paid for. Especially when it was $117.73 including taxes and protection plan

Had issues with the water backing up and to the bathtub waited for maintenance. Maintenance, come too late at night was in bed . Was not able to shower due to waiting for maintenance returning supposedly in the morning but it was no show. There was some sort of gump down inside of the bathtub hole hair and black muck.

Non smoking room. Noticed the side of the door was broken and rigged to close. People had broken in in the past.

One pillow had a brown smudge. When pulling back the covers, the sheet had cigatette burn holes. The heater blew up the curtains and heated the window but probably not the room. Upon investigation, under the window sill was rigged with wood underneath but there was still holes to the outside. There was a large wolf spider in the bathtub.
We stayed for less than 10 minutes. The pictures shown online are fake.

The Who place is kinda out dated and dumpy looking. The room was clean but the coffee pot was so nasty that it had left over coffee in it that had reduced to a tar substance and had grown mold. The basket where the coffee grounds go had a very old coffee bag in it that was all dried crusty and molded. The main door to the room has a quarter inch gap and you could literally see people walking by and it looked as if the lock would give if someone kicked it. I actually pushed the table up against it to feel more secure. Ac worked awesomely. The spa tub was nice and hot however half the jets in it didn’t work and the stopper was some a plastic piece that you set over top the drain and pray you didn’t accidentally hit it.

Pool was closed and under repair. Rooms are worn with many issues (dirty floors, holes in doors and walls, molding missing). Some linen was found soiled once we checked into room. The customer service was excellent and staff was nice. We needed a clean blanket and staff accommodated with a new comforter. Same with hair dryer.

Would not recommend staying here, I personally will not be back. I booked a room several months before in advance, specified a non smoking room. Once we get there we are given the keys and told how amazing our room would be but they had failed to mention we would now be in a smoking room. The smell of smoke was immediate and we went to ask to switch to a non-smoking room (which we booked). I was given a can of air freshener and told there were none available. We I know there were no vacancies but there were several months to reach out before showing up to relay they oversold the non-smoking room.

Where do I begin? We arrived on the property, and the “Inn” was “under construction.” The pictures on the website painted a much better picture than reality. Bravo to the photographer!

Several units had door handles that were smashed in and bolted in with padlock.

Our unit had a bathtub that dripped all throughout the night.

The comforters, both of them, had multiple cigarette burn holes.

The bed sheet underneath was clean at least, but still damp from being washed.

Door frame to the bathroom was split around the door latch and needed to be slammed as hard as humanly possible to get the door to shut.

The door trim around the front door looked like a Salvador Doli painting. One side of the door trim was nailed to the wall adjacent to the door frame, and the other one was half missing.

Pool was completely under construction as well.

Just an absolute hot mess of a motel, not an “Inn.”

On the positive side, I could log into my Netflix or Amazon Prime account on their TV service, and the lady at the front desk was very hospitable.

Booked the room last minute & we were happy to get a jacuzzi room. Check in was very friendly and efficient. When we pulled up to our room, there was an overflowing trash bag outside our door (which was still there when we left). The chain lock showed signs of the door being kicked in at some point and there was a fist sized hole in the bathroom door. Bed and linens were clean but there were long black hairs in the shower. We wiped up spilled water next to the bed and the towel was black from the floor being dirty. Mattress was extremely hard. All-in-all, the staff was friendly, we were thankful for a last minute reservation, but the cleanliness was lacking.

Very reasonably priced, unfortunately that was about it for positives. When checking in, we drove overnight and arrived at approximately 6:15am for check-in, the lady who checked us in came off as very rude. Once we got to our room, the comforter had cigarette burn holes throughout it, the sheets were stained pretty bad, the jacuzzi was very dirty, the small body wash was half used, used bars of the small soaps in the shower, shower handles broken, sink stopper was broken, the shower wasn't cleaned, a sizeable gap in the room door, the toilet was clean looked as though it may have been new. The other two front desk ladies I spoke with were pleasant and helpful.

The price was good. Under $100.00 for the night. Knights Inn is pet friendly and right off the main road. The pool was not open, so we found other things to do in Ashland. There was no breakfast available so we had to eat at a restaurant.

The room was okay. Basically clean, but not deeply clean like you would expect from a business catering to people.

There were several things that weren't clean, such as the desk chair, the bathtub, and the walls looked like they've seen some better days. Overall, the room definitely showed some wear and age.

There were trash cans chained to the building. One was near our room. I didn't like that, but the flies had a good meal. The staff was nice, but I probably wouldn't stay there again!

Friendly, helpful staff. Bed was comfortable enough. Room was rather damp and had a musty odor along with a peppermint smell from a product that was possibly used to try to mask the musty smell. Very noticeable when entering the room and while in it. Room could've been cleaner, as well. Property is older and the room looked like it may have had some updates, but it's still rather bare bones. Coffee maker and coffee in room, but no cups. Didn't use it because of that.

We checjed in after a long travel day looking to shower. The tub/shower combo did not drain and in fact still had tub scum from the previous guest. Called the front desk and was told would have someone out to fix in the morning. Well no service person ever showed up.
On to the next issue, we booked this hotel for the location to a music festival and had been told by the front desk they offered shuttle service, great right, well two men in a pickup truck showed up and then left us stranded at the venue wanting $100 to come get us. Multiple people at this venue had been stranded. Needless to say we drove ourselves to the venue the second day. After spending two days in this lovely town we found much better accommodations for our trip here next year.

You get what you pay! Great price, but not a great place. Things are run down and need a lot of TLC, and upgrades. Definitely need new linens and towels. The ones being placed in rooms are dingy and some stained. Bedliners had rips in them

Soon as I walked in room smelled of mold/musk, understandable for old hotel, but when walked into the bathroom their was a dirty wash cloth in the tub, 2 dirty used towels in the floor, used container of soap in the tub, not to mention the used soap bar ontop the shower ledge, their was half bag of pizza rolls and 2 pot pies in the freezer, a pop/fountain drink in the fridge! So bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the fridge, night stand had a broken drawer they just sealed closed, pool still being worked on. Called front desk for fresh towels since the other ones were still on the ground dirty (they weren’t even restocked) girl brought cleaner with her to have MYSELF clean the tub, the wash cloths she gave us to use were stained with gosh knows what, their was trash still in the trash cans too, piece of the fridge shelf on the floor, never had this kind of issue.

Bugs in room/on bed. Sheets dirty, had to get clean sheets from front desk. We reserved 8 rooms. I realize this is an older chain but age & decor has NOTHING to do with cleanliness. We are well aware of what a \"Dump\" is as that is part of our business. This property should be an embarassment to Expedia and is an absolute stain on the reputation of the fine city of Ashland KY. Basically, you get what you pay for. Everything was pretty old and worn, including the flooring. The bed was okay but the pillows were not. No lid on the coffee pot so the coffee couldn't get to the pot if you used the basket which I realized one hot mess too late. I was a road musician for 15 years so I have stayed in worse places. If you aren't real picky and are travelling econo you'll be fine.

Perfect for a nights sleep after a long drive. It was quiet and clean-ish. The floor was dirty, but the sheets, towels and shower were very clean. The TV remote had no batteries and when I had batteries, the remote didn't work the TV. If I were working in the area I could stay here for a week. They're are zero food options nearby. The closest thing is Waffle House for food. Everything in the general area is closed by 10pm, including the gas stations and convenience stores. The front desk lady was very nice and welcoming. The parking lot is dark. Thankfully, the parking is 4 feet from the doors to the rooms. Overall, it's not bad. It's not a vacation resort. Its a good place if you need a bed for the night, or a place to stay if you're working in the area for a bit.

I travel to the area once or twice a month for business and i have stayed here many times. My choice started as purely for price but ive had great experiences so far. As is expected this is period to motels but they keep up inside renovations very acceptable. I was put in the largest room they have coincidentally. Im on my own so i dont need multiple beds but i really loved the sofa and comfy recliner. Its nice to not have to only have a bed and desk chair. I am so happy with the value im booked for this coming weekend again.

Was a good stay, but some nosy busy body thought they should call the cops on me because I was sitting in my car in front of my room. Well after being harassed by the local cops and had my car searched and questioned they realized that I was an adult and knew better and found nothing on me or my car. I guess the maintaince guy is a former cop so he passes on info to them. First time I have been harassed here so I will give them another try.
