The staff was very friendly and helpful, however, I didn't find it professional at all that they stood outside the main entrance smoking cigarettes. I don't mean one at a time, but 5 or 6 at a time. That in itself is almost enough for me not to return. I think the overall value is great. The room is large and the wifi and TV work great. The room was clean and the breakfast is included and was very good. It's no an upscale hotel, but for a brand aimed at being affordable but still nice, they hit the mark. I didn't have any complaints with the rates or the room, but the groups of employees smoking at the entrance would have made me switch hotels if I had another option at the time. That is a deal breaker after a long trip to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke. We all had to shower just to get the smell off. Other than that, it's a great deal.

This was one of the only hotels in the area and for over $100 a night we were very disappointed. No maintenance has been done to this place for years. There were water damage spots on the ceiling in our room. Missing tiles in the bathroom. The grout in the bathroom were very dirty. There were dirt spots on the linens. If we didn’t arrive so late and had more options we wouldn’t have stayed.

This was a perfect place for me to stay, while traveling alone. There was very minor wear and tear on the building, but nothing to complain about. The staff was great. Extremely friendly and very helpful. I was traveling to attend a funeral, and just had no place to go until then, so they even allowed me to stay two hours past checkout with no additional charge. That’s the sort of caring for customers that will absolutely get me to stay there again. Now, if I had could give them one suggestion, it would be this… For the love of all things good in this world, they should use soft 2-ply toilet paper in the rooms, instead of that 1-ply sandpaper they currently use!! I did not authorize this transaction I did not stay or make arrangements to stay nor give anyone permission on my account to make any such transaction.

I have reported fraud with my bank and with the educational institution I attend college with who posted the funds which were wrongfully spent on a room no one spent any time in.


Upon requesting the stop payment I was told you guys could have made a mistake and likely the money would be placed back into my account when it was released from pending status.
Therefore no stop payment could have happened and could not be set into place and upon contacting Expedia was informed that I could not get my money back to the first night because it was the day before the reservation. The odd thing is it was set up to pay on site and yet the funds were taken from my card.

Something I was told by support would not take place.

This is wrong and it's stealing and this money was stolen from me and spent for nothing and on no one.

The staff members were very nice and welcoming. The continental breakfast was put out on time and was good and fresh. The rooms as a whole were nice as well. The cleaning of the rooms could have been better. Shower head and phones had not been wiped off in a while. There is no ventilation in the bathrooms and the structure of the walls is starting to deteriorate. Overall an okay place to stay for the price.

The front desk staff was incredible! We were greeted with kindness and an uncommon willingness to help us navigate our travel needs. The service was as good as I have ever received. The “Queen” beds as advertised are not true Queen size. While bigger than a full size they do t have the width or length of a true queen size bed. Sleeping area for two is comprised. Dont care for the wall mounted A/C right next to the bed. It blows off & on and is disturbing. The catsup in kitchen is very weak, certainly a generic to better brands. Yuck..

I stay here when I visit my daughter who is attending Marshall University. It’s very close to the college, yet out in a quieter environment. I’ve stayed at this hotel probably 3 different trips now in the last couple of years. The staff is awesome and so friendly.

Accommodations were adequate. My room was directly next to the elevator so I heard it moving all night.

The room was in need of renovation. No bugs or anything but its showing its age. Definitely not the 9. whatever rating Expedia has it at.

They have not kept up with the maintenance on this property. The room from the first night had tattered curtains that let the light shining into the room from the parking lot. Also, the toilet was rocking. When you stood up from it, it smashed back against the wall. The room from the second night smelled so musty. I'm guessing it had water damage that wasn't properly dried. The pool was cloudy and freezing. The staff was very nice, but we won't be back.

I’m from Huntington WV and I moved away years ago and I have come back to town 4 times since I moved. I know that I can come here and be safe and treated very well. You couldn’t ask for a better cleaner hotel and all of the staff go above and beyond to take care of their guests. I recommend that you come here.

When we got to our room it looked like a dog had jumped on the bed and left hair and mud on the covering. There was a candy wrapper in the sheets. We asked for fresh bedding and were told we could move to the second floor which was always kept cleaner than the first floor. Strange. Then told we wouldn’t want to sleep on the third floor because it stunk up there and always had lots of people coming and going all night. Fire alarm went off at 11:30 which I understand has nothing to do with the staff or hotel but just added to the uneasiness of the stay.

Stayed here in October and very pleased. This weekend we had no hot water and 32 degrees outside. When we told gentleman at desk he just said other people have said that too. He said maintenance doesn't wotk on weekends. He said he would check into it. Came back and still no hot water. The girl at the desk offered to move us and even made sure that our water was hot first.

Mouse poop on bed next to pillow

The sheets were all stained and dirty. There was Mouse poop on the bed next to the pillows. The floor was dirty and dirt all into the corners and side of the walls. Mold all around the tub pee on the toilet. Room smelled bad.I left my phone in the truck so I didn't get a picture of the poop sorry.

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I have no idea how it has 8.3 stars on this website. Look at Google reviews. The first room we got was on the 2nd floor and the entire floor smelled like weed. When we called the front desk the woman was very nice and found a room on the 1st floor that was slightly better. But the entire room was musty, there was mold, I couldn't even look in the window AC unit it was so gross. I didn't even take a shower because I didn't think it would make me any cleaner. The bed was actually surprisingly comfortable but I tried not to let any part of my skin touch anything. Luckily we only needed it for 1 night but I would never recommend it to anyone.

The room had a few problems. They had the thermostat on the wall but it wasn't working. Used the a/c unit which was sufficient. The bed duvet was lumpy and the fitted sheet had been torn and stitched together and felt pilly. The bathroom tub had knicks that needed to be fixed. Other than that the place was quiet and the breakfast was good. Checkout was a breeze didn't need to turn in keys, just leave by 11am.

Alright. The toiletries are teeny tiny bottles as if for a microscopic doll house. The bathrooms in the rooms and the public restrooms within the hotel itself were dirty, dated, and DO NOT HAVE FANS. Lord help all the ladies that need to take a 💩 around their significant others.

It was a \"fine\" experience. I would stay here again if I had to, particularly since my employer is the one paying the bill. I would never pay this bill for a vacation.
