Loved that the pool/hot tub was open at 6am great way to start my day and no crowd! Breakfast was hot and had cold breakfast choices too. Person brought out more hot food when it got low. Water in pool was clean and the room the pool was in was warm as well so you didn’t freeze when you got out of the water. I will stay here again!

Our stay was great from the time we checked in. Our room was very clean and bed was comfortable. There was one thing we had a problem with, but as soon as we mentioned it to the housekeeping staff it was promptly taken care of with out question. Your housekeeping staff is awesome! They kept all areas very clean and we did not see any mess that wasn't promptly attended to. Front desk staff were super nice personable.

Check-in was quick, polite, and courteous. Upon leaving the next day, housekeeping was amazingly polite and friendly. The lady in the breakfast area that morning was extremely kind and a baby doll to talk to. Made us feel like we were family coming home couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

The hotel is a quick deive to downtown Huntington. There are multiple fast food places that are walkable to the hotel. The lobby is small but staff were very personable. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Towels were fluffy and they provided shampoo, conditioner and lotion (we didn’t use any but some travelers would like to know they don’t provide body wash). Housekeeping is offered daily without a fee also. Breakfast is 6:30am to 9:30am but we didn’t wake early. We will definitely stay here again next year during Spike Fest!

If you want something close to all the amenities of town but feels a little more secluded and away from noise, I highly suggest this hotel. I felt safer in this area, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a bit old but clean and indoors. I got to have the whole swim area to myself even on a Friday night. If I’m ever back in the area, this is where I would stay.

Staff was hardworking, seemingly new, and overwhelmed slightly with grumpy customers over building related issues beyond their control.(the elevator was not functioning)

Got to the room had a hard time setting up the television to work. It was set to HDMI 2 and rhe HDMI cable was running out of the television but seemingly didnt have anything to plug into.

One of the staff was helpful and came up to the room resolving tbe problem in short order.

The buiding seemed older.

Slept well.

Seemed a little off kilter. But wasn't bad.

My boyfriend and I checked in kind of late since we had such a long drive. Apple Maps was telling us the hotel was in the middle of the road, so I don't know what was up with that.

The man at the counter told us breakfast started at 9:30 am and gave us our room key and we were on our way. We got up to the second floor when we realized that he had never even given us a room number. We had to go back to the lobby and ask for a room number.

The next morning, we went down for breakfast at 9:30 am. But then we found out that breakfast was actually already over. It ended at 9:30. Not started then. I was pretty irritated but the lady cleaning up offered us whatever was left (like cereals and breads that were still out.) I could only eat the Honey Nut Cheerios though because I am gluten free.

Other than the mishap with check in and breakfast, the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower had a good water pressure. We didn't go to the pool but it looked clean.

The whole second floor hallway and our bedroom reeked of old cigarette smoke. We were exhausted after 14 hours of traveling. However, we got a minimum number of hours of sleep and got out of there as soon as humanly possible.

Would have been better off sleeping in the car.

I had a bad feeling while checking in when the old guy checking me in had snot running down his nose and rotten teeth! Found bedbugs st 3am 2nd night! Asked to switch rooms. Could not switch rooms but offered refund but had to wait 2 days before a “manager” could approve refund. Refund denied twice until I threatened to call health dept and consumer affairs. Finally received 5 days refund. If you have ever tired to get rid of bedbugs it is a NIGHTMARE! I hope we didnt bring any home with us!

I'm not sure why this location has an average rating. We have stayed there for Dr appointments at the hospital and always find this location to be really good. Amenities are above average and comfortable bed. I would recommend staying here and we will again when the opportunity comes back around.

After a horrible experience previously with a different budget-friendly hotel in the area, I was skeptical but ended up having a nice stay here at Comfort Inn. The hotel is old and some things do show wear/rust, the bed was perfectly clean and comfortable, main room and bathroom were pretty clean for the most part (shower head had some rust and mild mineral buildup, as did the base of the commode and the bowl--but it was mild and not offensive to me) , the room was quiet and I was actually able to sleep. I used the hot tub which was nice. The pool, however, was freezing cold, so I just dipped my toes and that was enough. I wouldn't hesistate to book here again. They did charge me a surprise \"incidental\" fee on my credit card, but they said it would be credited back.

There's a saying, you get what you pay for. That would be the best way to describe this hotel. It wasn't horrible but it's nothing extra. The shower is extremely narrow (and I'm not a big person) and no towel bars in the shower or in the bathroom at all, which is a little frustrating. Otherwise, it's an older hotel but it's ok for a 1 night stay.

We booked 3 rooms for a major surgery myt sister was having picked this hotel because it had a hot tub and pool we could all relax in after a couple long days at the hospital. We were seriously disappointed at check in when we were told the pool and hot tub were closed for painting. A heads up would have been nice. They didnt even offer a discount for not having that available. Other than that the place was clean and the employees were wonderful! Then only downside came from a corporate level.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The room was clean. However, the \"accessible\" bathroom was ill designed.
The seat was too low to be comfortable and was too far away from the controls to be usable. If I had been alone, it would have been unworkable.
I want told the pool was closed for maintenance. It would have been nice to use.

Not sure if there are smoking rooms or if smoking used to be allowed but I noticed a smell when I entered the building and it seemed especially strong in my bathroom when the fan came on, like it was permanently in the ventilation. Needless to say my smelled like old cigarettes after my stay.

Apparently Marshall University Students were allowed to have an all night party at around the hotel. Several hundred students were outside the hotel until 2 in the am being very loud, shouting and at one point it sounded like gun shots.
