Check in was great and appreciated the young pregnant lady who checked me in. She informed me the two elevators for customers to us was down. And would have to use the freight elevator. The hotel was packed. My first night was interrupted many times by people talking loud and slamming doors. I was put on the 5th floor and as a senior citizen I thought I better try the stairs. If there was a fire it would be tragic and many lives at stake including mine. Found out the elevators will be out of order for 12 weeks. I left the next morning very tired from noisy people being inconsiderate of others.

This was absolutely a disaster. After driving through the night I arrived at 5 am to a hotel I booked a week in advance that had no power. The place was under construction and was told that my room was on the 4th floor. I was told they knew the hotel would be under construction during the week prior and was not informed. I was then told that there was nothing they could do. Then after being in tears tired and irate they informed me that I could go to Hampton inn a hotel they work with and the room would be covered. When I got there I was told that was not the case. I went back to the delta to tell them and was told they did not have authority to do so. I asked for the manager to call me the next day and that never happened. I was told by her that they did not have phones…. But I was able to call the hotel. When I was called at 8am the next day when I was finally able to get some sleep I was treated horribly after everything was said and done. They did refund my money but that did nothing the no sleep no place to stay and shower as I was in town for my sons graduation. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. I should have been informed and arrangements should have either been made for me or an opportunity for me to make other arrangements. I will be contacting Marriott corporate regarding this matter. I do not recommend it to anyone

We paid $205 just to have 1 relaxing day/night away from our kids. We wanted to swim and get in the hot tub. We were completely unaware that there would be 2 travel baseball teams AND 2 weddings going on there at the time. Meaning the pool area was completely full of kids the entire time and we didn’t get a chance to get it at all. We tried again to go down to the pool area and get into the hot tub during the last 20 minutes it was open, hoping that it would be cleared out by then. There was still kids and the hot tub water was overflowing and cold. Very very disappointing and huge waste of money.

The hotel and staff itself were good and fine. The stay was horrible. The fire alarm went off, police were called, people were rowdy and upset, and we were forced out of our room twice. My anxiety was so high, and I was stressed at whether or not we should stay or go. And IF we had left WHERE would we have gone. 5 State troopers had to show up, and a fire truck with the lights flashing were right outside my window. The stay was horrible. In the end, I was so exhausted from my anxiety and the events that we chose to stay but we did not rest well.

We have stayed at this hotel the last few times we have visited west Virginia we love the executive suites. In the past the service was exceptional but this time the staff seemed annoyed that they had to do there job. Was not very welcoming or friendly all of the ladies employed there were very rude. Though I love this hotel myself and my family will not be returning to this location.

The keycard reader died and I couldn’t get into my room. Had to switch rooms. Elevator was broke down and the only working one absolutely reeked of weed and smoke. Paid online for the room and the front desk charged me again for the room. I’m a travel nurse and I stay here a lot. Typically I never have an issue but this stay was a very different story.

The carpet in the room was not clean. My pink socks became very dirty within a few minutes of walking around.

The back entrance to the hotel was supposed to be secured with access only by an active room key; the door lock was broken and anyone could enter. We felt quite vulnerable as a result.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Lobby and outer premise was very nice comparative to the room. Our door when entering our room creaked so badly when we opened it that we thought it was going to fall off. There was a weird smell in the room and our blind was broken so it wouldn’t go up. Room was decently clean bathroom wasn’t in the greatest shape. Just wasn’t what we had anticipated with the price and after entering the hotel.

Our room for the fourth night was a bit more dated and my 2yo found two pieces of trash on the floor so it felt a bit less clean. Overall, we had an amazing day and will definitely be returning when in the area.

We did not get the room we reserved. We were given a handicap room, which is fine. The problem was a second drain in the floor of the bathroom for over flow from the handicap designed shower. This second drain constantly emitted a fowl odor. We were told there were no other rooms available.

The hotel was immaculate and the room was very nice. Everything was clean and fresh. The pool was undergoing maintenance and was closed which is the whole reason I got the hotel in the first place, so not knowing ahead of time was very frustrating.

The young woman at the front desk was so awesome! I wish I could remember her name. (I checked in on March 21 @ 4 pm.) The room was beautiful! The pool, restaurant and bar gave the hotel a \"tourist like\" feel, which was great! The breakfast was subpar, and the food was not really warm. I think the cost for the breakfast was steep, given what was provided. You can get this same breakfast at Holiday Inn Express for free.
