Our stay was disappointing overall. Although this is a non-smoking hotel, the room had a strong smoke smell that was difficult to tolerate. The odor was so pervasive that even the clothes in our suitcases smelled like smoke after our stay.
The TV remote was also broken, and the room felt humid despite the air conditioning running, which made it less comfortable.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we appreciated their kindness. However, for the price we paid, we expected a cleaner, fresher-smelling room and better maintenance. Unfortunately, the smoke odor had the biggest impact on our stay and would make us hesitant to return.

The room air conditioner worked, but was rather noisy and the room still felt a little humid.
Hillary
This stay was not ideal. To start with, our room had an unpleasant odor which we covered up with air freshener so no big deal. The most disturbing thing was that the entire room felt damp. The bedding was damp to sleep on, the floors were sticky with dampness, and clothing was damp after being in the room. On top of this, one of our comforters was noticeably stained. As there were only two of us, we decided to use the other bed. That bed had an even larger stain on the fitted sheet, so we ended up swapping the bedding around to feel more clean. Towels also were rough and stained. Mirror had a large crack in the glass. All elevated surfaces were coated in dust. I gave a two because we slept fine and it was quiet, outdoor seating areas were nice. The rest, not fantastic. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't stay again.
Wendie
The staff were so nice and helpful! This by far was the easiest check in and check out I have ever been through!!

Good place
Laminda
The AC unit didnt get very cold. The pillows were was too soft/not supportive. Staff were friendly. The breakfast was good.
Mitchell
It was great stay at Baymont. Hotel is fully renovated and staff is very helpful.
Brenda
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Air conditioner was very loud making it difficult to sleep when it was running. Not enough outlets for 2 CPap machines. Shower head was awful. Breakfast offerings were excellent.
Jorden
Very nice and clean room. Staff was great and helpful. No elevator but no need because only 5-6 stairs for second floor. Hot breakfast was awesome!
Emily
Nice renovated rooms and clean bathroom. Lobby was attractive and big breakfast area. Enjoyed BBQ at back side of the property.
Michael
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Our rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable and clean & fresh linen. Breakfast was awesome.
We be back for sure!

Calvin
The staff was really nice and helpful, but the room was in poor shape and smelled of old smoke covered up by air fresheners. Again, really amazing staff, but the hotel is not worth what they charged.
Eric
Dirty towels with holes in them, dirt on the bedspreads, dirty windows, small non-elongated toilets, and poor lighting. This hotel is extremely tired and in need of a total renovation.
John
The room air conditioner was so loud that you couldn’t hear the TV when the A/C was on. It was also difficult to sleep with the A/C cycling at night.
Douglas
Appears to be newly remodeled, smells new. Off the beaten path, but quiet.
Amy
I was charged for an extra nights stay. My itenerary said I was there for three nights but the front desk said I arrived a day early and they tried to charge me or four nights. I disputed the charge. Room had odd chemical smell, there was no plug in the bathtub so I could not take a bath, just a shower. Old dingy towels. Not satisfied with this place at all.
Gary
Our air conditioner was not operating properly when we arrived. The staff was exceptionally helpful and changed the unit quickly. The room was cool and comfortable by the time we returned from a family gathering. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, and the shower was refreshing. We were very happy with our stay.
D.
Our room was not very clean, one of the pillows had Makeup on it. The air conditioner didn't work great in our room and in our other room my husband suspected mold and the room smelled terrible. Some of the electrical wires were not spliced together properly. there was hair and grit in the corners of the bathroom and the tub did not have a plug, but that's ok because the water didn't drain very fast when you took a shower.
Timothy
Clean. Obvious recent upgrades. For the price, great!!
Ben
No breakfast was offered. Reservation stated breakfast was available. No elevator. For three floor hotel this isn't the expectation. No warning of this. Hauling stuff up three flights of stairs was not ideal.

Very run down for a rating of 9.0 on Expedia. No elevator.
David
I’m really surprised how good the reviews were on this hotel after visiting it. I don’t need fancy, but this room was really dirty. Pieces of debris in the bathroom and on the carpet. Drips of mold or something on the bathroom wall and right behind the doorway. Like from eye level all the way, almost down to the floor, at least 10 drips. As well as juice or urine not really sure in the garbage can. It was also under construction, which I can understand and appreciate the updates seem to be in the hallway.
Denise
Room was clean. Free breakfast was OK. Price was right for this hotel.
john
It was so much better than the previous owners, Super 8. This hotel was newer, accessible, and clean. The workers were helpful and friendly. Good value for the area.
Trevor
Our one night stay was ok. There is no elevator, which is not a huge deal for me… but if you have issues with stairs, buckle up because cause there is no access to any rooms from the lobby without stairs or a maze of a handicap ramp. The lower floor smelled like weed, which is probably not the fault of the property, but…
William
No towels when we went to take a shower.
Mark
A bit on the outskirts of Mankato. Had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Staff clearly works hard to maintain the property. Clean. Great value for a reasonable price. I would stay there again and would recommend
Alana
Very clean and comfortable stay! Would come back again!
Ellyse
Great stay overall! Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The only small note is the pillows were a bit too soft for my preference, but everything else was excellent. Would definitely stay again!
Pat
Nice and clean room, friendly staff and plenty of breakfast options.
William
Fantastic experience! The rooms were spotless and comfortable, staff was very welcoming, and the hot breakfast was a great start to the day. Will definitely stay again!
Josh
Excellent stay! Clean and newly renovated rooms, friendly staff, and a delicious hot breakfast. Great value and highly recommended!
Johm
Had a wonderful experience at this property. The rooms were spotless and recently renovated, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff provided excellent service and made sure all our needs were met. The breakfast exceeded expectations with multiple options. Overall, great value for the price

They are remodeling which looks nice , but the paint jobs and bath walls were not done properly. Hole in wall above the mirror.
Laminda
I was charged twice for my room and the deposit Thankfully the staff said they would correct it. I will ne checking with my bank to make sure of it. The room itself was nice, but the housekeeping isn't very good.
