Nice place, clear information was not give at check in for the parking stucture - we were not at all familiar with the process and I think that the front desk check in assumed we were. No clear directions and signs for those that are not familiar with process.
Jennifer
I picked it as I thought there was a restaurant to get dinner and breakfast the following morning, but it was closed for renovations. That is my only complaint. Everything else was wonderful.
Ijaz
This is a way overpriced hotel. Decor is outdated. The building looks old. The staff didn’t answer questions. No breakfast
Pamela
We loved being able to walk downtown to restaurants and events. Very nice hotel. Strange key card policy for security especially cumbersome when checking out.
Weird loud car Racing downtown on Friday night made it hard to talk at outdoor patios and bars. Apparently the police and city of Mankato do not have a Noise Control law?!

The facility was lovely, the room was nice. It was very clean, and I appreciated the whimsical tech-note on the TV screen saying hello to me. Nice touch...
I did not care for being charged $3 each for the two bottles of water I enjoyed that appeared to be 'complimentary' amid the coffee, cups, etc. There was a note attached to the neck of the bottle, not overtly clear about it being complimentary for Hilton members only. Wow. Can't just comp 2 waters for ANY guest? Decptively cheap move.
And ~ didn't appreciate the hotel taking $20 out of my account (for just-in-case incidentals, which the front desk gal said the credit card hold was for, but neglected to tell me they were taking my money out!) Sure. It gets refunded, but not for a couple of days. So. I'm without my $20 for 4+ days, Saturday until maybe Tuesday? Kinda sorta like stealing a tad bit there, Hilton, hmm.?
Leaves a bit of sour taste for me....
Thanks anyway.

I love this hotel. Close to everything and the staff is always great. The suites are Awesome! The back one 910 over looks the river and has its own private balcony. Highly recommend.

Only problem was they gave me a king room instead of the double queen i booked.
They were kind and courteous and fix the problem in a timely manner.

There is no continental breakfast. They had a restaurant in the lobby but it was closed and a new one was taking its place but wasn’t open yet, which was fine. However, I found out from other guests that a sandwich and juice was offered in the mornings as a breakfast at the front desk but I was never informed of this during check in.
The room was clean. The beds felt as though I could have slept on the floor and had the same level of comfort, very stiff mattresses.

Lots of shops in the area. Clean room, most staff was ok. The receptionist was kinda short with me.

We had a problem with our heating and they called someone in to fix it on New Year's Day. Appreciated the prompt attention to that and also the bartender Mitch was excellent and staff very friendly in restaurant.
Janelle
Hard to regulate the heat
Amy
I thought staff were a bit cold and not too welcoming. I did have to switch rooms for the weekend and had to pay top dollars for the extra two nights. I realize it is because I needed two weekend nights but there was no mid budget option. Loved the restaurant.
Michelle
Friendly staff, easy & fast check-in, clean rooms
Rosita

We arrived at 2am and had a little difficulty getting the attention of someone to let us in.
The internet was easy to log on to, however, we couldn't get logged on to the premium wifi that was posted in the room and the front desk had no idea what I was talking about.
The pillows were a bit too squishy and the bed was really soft.
I had requested extra pillows before check in yet had to request them twice before they were delivered.
The toilet flushing handle was cracked and the TP holder was not attached.
It was nice that the pool was open til 11pm.
The room was quiet.
It was a bit frustrating that we couldn't use our own firestick.
Would recommend for a nice stay!

Location was nice right by the river. Room was clean and spacious.
Steven
The stay would have only been perfect if Mankato Mavericks would have pulled out the OT for a win but great location
Steven
Thank you for your hospitality
Kent
This hotel is at a perfect location in the downtown. Easy parking and right next to all of the downtown action.
Alison
This was the perfect location for the Mankato Half marathon. Everything was walking distance. Staff were excellent. Rooms were clean and had everything that was needed. Would definitely stay here again.
Michael
We stayed here after a procedure at Mayo. Was a great place to stay. Would recommend it to anyone needing a quiet place to recuperate.
Steven
Clean and comfortable!

I was downgraded from a suite to a Jr suite and was not told about it. I had been planning this trip for a couple weeks to propose to my then girlfriend and I had surgery the night before so it really felt like a slap in the face, especially since we were not reimbursed for the difference in room cost. The only person that was nice was Andrea at the front desk. She tried to make everything right, but I’m not sure you can fix things like that when you’re not willing to either eat the room cost or pay me the difference but she did try. no thanks to her manager. I was told they overbooked for their suites and I was bumped down because I booked through Expedia. I will say that again I was downgraded because I booked through Expedia.

Great
Jennifer
great location with smiling staff
Great place to stay with friendly staff and right across the street from the event center.

Awesome

The ice machine didn't work on the floor and when I used my restroom there was like a rubberband that you would wear with braces that had some red on it? Could have been blood, but not sure.
Otherwise, room was nice, good climate control for a comfortable temp and the staff at the front desk was very good.

We enjoyed the hot tub. Our room is spacious, clean and attractive. The desk clerk gave a wonderful recommendation for dinner.
Alexis
I liked that it had a restaurant in the lobby and the room was very nice with a good view.
Paul
Steamy, lousy, pricey.
To start things off, the A/C was out in the building. While your individual room worked, we were there for a wedding so no meeting people at the hotel and hanging out. The restaurant is way over priced and could t get orders correct. Then they sat in the window for 20 minutes p, despite asking to serve them. We knew they were ours because we’re the only party in the restaurant.
Sophia
Overall very clean and comfortable. Future I would request more pillows for bed but for the most part very satisfied with our stay for it being short and sweet for concert in town!
Nice check in gal, very kind and friendly. Good explaining of how accommodations work for the area!

Hailey
Bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke and hotel was completely booked. Tried talking to a manager but never received a call back to chat.
Rachel
This was a very clean and nice hotel! The kids loved the pool! The air system seemed a little wonky in the rooms, but it was fine overall.
Randall
Only negative was the mattress being average
Regan
Everything was smooth and great!
Jervis
Very comfortable. Good value. Would return.
Daniel
This hotel was very relaxed and friendly. Very clean the rooms were wonderful and spacious. We had a private patio in our top floor room to sit and smoke and look over the beautiful city. Close to bars and restaurants and the music venue Vetter stone amphitheater. Will definitely stay again.

Stay was pleasant. Food at Olives was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walk to restaurants, bars and the river walk.

Arrived 45 mins after check in and were unable to check in.
Staff seemed stress and my check in felt more of a burden than welcoming.
Also giving free drink tickets isn’t a fix.

Amy
Very nice, very well maintained. Pool area and spa were well kept up too, very clean. Plenty of towels.

Horrible.
The access to the room is difficult. Checking is was difficult. Room keys stopped working after the 1st day for multiday trip. Fixtures in bathroom just fell off the wall. Pool was closed when stated it was open talking to the front desk. Remote for tv rarely worked.
Mike
Was convenient for parking and getting to the mayo center for an event
Nancy
Beautiful location and wonderful accommodations.

It was definitely not the quietest place. Could easily hear what was going on above, below, and beside.
Connor
So good for hitting a hockey game and not worrying about driving back up to the cities after
Steven
We had to exchange our room as tub was disgusting but wonderful exchange at desk
Elizabeth
Needed to use security \"key\" 5 times to reach the room. Carpets were worn and dirty.
HOLLY
It was ok, but upkeep of property was sloppy. Broken items inbthe room.
Kristi
Great hotel, ridiculous pet fees
Deceptive practice with dog fee. Beware $75/night charge that is not disclosed.

No being boisterous rules ? Does not in force !
Loved that my work was literally next door to the Mayo City Event Center. Downfall was I stayed two days and made those reservations due to the amenities and location loved that they had a hot tub due to the work I do it be nice to relax but was not able to enjoy due too loud boisterous children which states in rules on there wall that not to be parents were not keeping there children in check. We went down at 9 pm in hopes that it be quieter. We lasted 15 min and the piercing loud screaming jumping in pool enough to be splashing us in hot tub and children that are 12 and under in hot tub was not enjoying I went to front desk to make a complaint and also asked do they have just adult hours at all . She replied no it’s open to everyone I’m like ok thanks cause I knew the conversation wasn’t going to go anywhere. So we spent over 600 for the eeekend and was not able to utilize the amenities. Not only that the microwave was broke in the room never heated up so couldn’t reheat any food and lost out on that. Hotel was nice just not the amenities. I believe they need to implement an adults only time frame in there small pool area with hot tub. It gets loud very easily.
john
For over $250 per night I expect a complimentary breakfast and to get my room cleaned more than every other day. I had to haul out my own trash, and the trash bins on the floor were overflowing. The bathroom fan didn't work. The front desk people were sullen. No clock radio in the room. This property is in rapid decline. I've stayed at this property two or three times a year for over ten years, but will never go back.
Steven
Hilton Garden Inn Mankato, beautiful Hotel, great rooms, dining excellent, walking distance to concert pavilion. Hilton has the best showers ever. Only one Hotel is my first choice ........................ Hilton Brand. PartyOnPeople.
Steven
Hilton Mankato, is a fabulous Hotel. In house Restaurant is magnificent dining, service, gracious & professional. Rooms are very stylish and comfortable. Hilton showers are the best. One Hotel for me as I travel, ............... Hilton. Believe That. PartyOnPeople.
Rebecca
The mirror in mine and my sisters bathroom had several black smoky smears on them. The shower had hair on the ceiling and overall the room was quite disgusting. There are two elevators and only one worked after our second trip downstairs. The gal at checkin was walking around and we waited over five minutes for someone to come tell us that \"it'll be a minute\" then she was short with us when we got there. Overall, this hotel left much to be desired with the only benefit being the location.
Geoff
We had reserved a room with a King Bed through Hotels.com for one night. When we arrived, the host at the desk gave us an ADA room. When we asked to be moved to a non-ADA room, the type of room we requested, he told us he was unable to do so and that hotels.com sends their information to Hilton hotels specifically requesting ADA, regardless of what the user requested. When I showed him our reservation, the front desk host stated there weren't any more rooms available as they were booked solid.
During our short stay, we never saw another hotel guest - not in the elevators nor in the lobby. We saw three people in the lobby bar that evening, but that was it.
It happened that the same person was at the front desk when we checked out and he asked us how our stay was. When I told him that we doubted the hotel was booked as he had stated and that we suspected he was being untruthful, he stated that he was sorry that there weren't more people in the lobby to show us how many people were staying there. I told him he didn't have to be a jerk and that this is no way to treat a customer who just spent a fair amount of money for a type of room they didn't reserve. I will never stay at that Hilton again.

Property looks nice, but our room had a pretty foul smell once we changed the A/C from ice-age cold to 70 degrees. Just didn’t match the presentation of the overall property but not noticeable until into the night once room warmed up just a bit.
Krissi
Nice stay, it was a noisy our last night. There were a bunch ok kids running up & down the hallway, yelling & having fun.
David
Check-in was fast. The access to the parking garage is very convenient. The room was clean and comfortable. Great pillows. Location is great if you want to have fun downtown.
Peggy
The parking is not as good as it could be. All of the reserved spots make it difficult to find a spot when its busy. The elevators are insanely slow.
Mark
Fantastic place and highly recommend
Megan
I stay every year!
I stay here once a year. It’s clean, and the staff’s always nice and helpful. The rooms have fridges and microwaves. But the best part is the location. Walkable to so many bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and even a large grocery store. There’s a river walk/bike path right across the street that is cool to stroll on. The one down side is that the pool is really small.
Russell
Good, loved every minute
Sherilyn
Great hotel staff, nice rooms. The area around the hotel was clean and safe but there weren't dining options within walking distance.
