The hotel was fantastic, and my family had a wonderful time there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The family room included board games, which was a great touch. There’s a cozy little restaurant on-site, and the jacuzzi was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. We made amazing memories during our stay!
Highly recommend this hotel for families looking for comfort, fun, and great service. We can’t wait to come back!

My bed had a piece of metal sticking out of the frame the caught my leg a couple of times.
The toilet needed to be plunged (even for just toilet paper) every time.
I twice had to walk a mile because my key did not work my door.
The place looked tired.
You don’t accept cash payment.
There was no luggage cart available for arrival or leaving ( I walked another mile and looked!).

Older/small rooms and furnishings and the paper thin walls created noisy conditions late into the evening. Lots of hallway noise too….Check-in staff was awesome though! Beds were ok. Hard to see the correct entrance door at night, very little exterior lighting.

Overall, good spot if you are on a budget, but probably worth spending a few extra bucks to say somewhere nicer.

We had to check out an hour after arrival. Dishes were dirty, cookware was dirty and unsafe, grimy, grounds were hideous, run down and beat up everywhere. The stench was beyond dealing with and whatever chemicals used made us sick. It was awful. I wish we could get our money back.

We are excited for our next trip here.

Outside of the place being a little dated this was an amazing stay. Everyone we interacted with was great. Similar esthetic to a National Park Lodge, which was clearly the inspiration. No in lodge restaurant during our stay but it has a space for one, so hopefully someone fills that void. This will be our go to place in the future for this area.

I was not happy that the TV didn't work until the following morning. Also, the parking by entrance \"O\" did not have enough handicap parking spots (only 3) - and was rather dark. There were also no lines showing the parking slots, so some cars took 1 1/2 spaces.
The reception area was clean and the folks there very helpful. A complementary coffee pot would have been nice.
The \"Lost & Found\" restaurant was quiet and convenient, and the food was tasty & a good amount. Excellent service from the waitstaff also.

I checked in late at night after a wedding nearby. The lady at the desk was as friendly as I've ever encountered to the poiny of being a genuine standout of the stay. She was upbeat, happy and helpful, even at 11 at night.

The room itself was a little worse for wear but seemed clean despite the wear and tear. The walls were thin, and I'm pretty sure I was downstairs from an entire herd of rhinoceri, but that's not the hotel's fault unless they want to revise their policy vis a vis ungulate guests.

The lobby makes the building look like it’s going to be dated but nice. Which is typical with older resorts. Our room smelt horrible like cigarettes and was worse when we turned on the fan despite being in a no smoking room and facility. The bed was uncomfortable and had indents in the springs from years of other guests sleeping there. I let the front desk know about the horrible smell and he basically told me “the best we can do, is nothing.” I tried contacting the company on Expedia and they gave me a number to booking who had no idea what I wanted and had no record of my booking. No one knew what was going on and the room was so dingy and the resort so unclean we decided to leave a day early and just foot the bill for the extra day we didn’t even stay. This place is wayyy overpriced for what you get.

The shower was a dribble. The bedspread on the murphy bed was too wide (since the bed is so close to the floor) which created a tripping hazard. The chandelier over the table is too low since it is basically in a walkway when the bed is down and taller people hit their head on it. The hair dryer is making bad noises and pieces are ejecting from it.

Good/so-so experience overrall.

Pros: pools and hot tubs run well, gym is decent, sauna hot, surrounding scenery is beautiful (as long as you dont have a view of the back parting lot like we did). Nice helpful staff. Cleaning staff was polite, prompt with messaging and towel delivery.

Cons: property is very outdated. Needs a significant overhaul. Looks like the hotel from The Shining, wood panel walls, popcorn ceilings, dirty cheap carpet.
Also, the fact that this property rents or leases to residents now is a big turn off. Its not just vacationers. I get it, its probably the only way to stay financially afloat, but we saw several drug deals, residents drinking in the parking lot, a one man vomitting.
Was hard to move around in our room due to our bed was a wall pull down type bed.
Most of the laundry machines wouldnt work, coins were all full and needed emptying. Lot of empty or closed businesses in the hotel, 2 restaurants needing to be leased. Was kinda sad actually.

Seems like the hotel was probably bumping in the 70s and 80s. Needs investing. Overall we made it work, and it was fine. Close to great hikes and Grand Lake was fun to visit. And the National Park, of course, was right there.

The property was a little more affordable than others and had a decent room. The tub seemed old and not really maintained. No air conditioning during the day. Unfortunately, the first key card that we were given did not work and so we had to drive back to the front desk and get another one. The texting service is short-staffed, which is why we drove back to get a new key. Other than that, the place is fine.

This property is quirky, but good. Great pool and lots of different hot tubs to choose from. Nice room with a stone fireplace, balcony with chairs and a table, full kitchen, and a murphy bed and dining table. The floors are numbered starting at 5, I think, which was actually the 2nd floor, etc., so that was quirky. I think people actually live at this place, too, and there was a rodeo going on until 10pm Saturday night, which was fine. View from the front of the \"Hotel\" and pool area was beautiful, but the view from our balcony was not. City Market right across the street. Games, billiards, snack machines, massage.

Arrived and elevator was being worked on had to take bags to floor 6 up stairs. This was a family trip. No air conditioning in building. Pool was closed for a day. Several ice machines did not work. Had to walk far to get ice. Had to pay for kids to swim somewhere else. Called for towels never got them. Had to go to front desk. Never cleaned up room had dirty towels and garbage out side room the whole time we were there.

The experience was so bad we left our 2nd night for another hotel. First off, no AC in the summer is crazy. Our 1st set of key cards didn’t not work after check-in. We had a non smoking room but because there was no AC all the windows in the room needed to open. But the residents who lived on the first floor smoked cigarettes and the smoke came into our room through the open windows. The bed we stayed in was broken or bowed. The bed has such a bow I fell off in the middle of the night. Needless to say very terrible experience. When checking out early the staff didn’t even inquire as to why…

They advertised that they have tennis courts, but the tennis courts have multiple fissures thru out, with dozens of weeds growing through them. However, the nets are OK. They advertised that they have a restaurant, but it was closed/for lease. Supposedly someone will be leasing it at the end of July, who knows. It is quite dated but reasonably clean and functional. The hot tub and pool were nice. they had four hot tubs that were kept around 104°. After picking some weeds from the tennis courts, we did enjoy playing for about an hour. There is a huge floodlight in the parking lot behind buildings C&D, it's far brighter than it needs to be and is anti-environmental, in terms of migratory birds. However, it's also anti-sleep, in that we had a gap in our blinds and it felt like a flashlight was shining through them all night. I tried to call the front desk in the a.m., had to leave a message. They didn't get back to me after a couple of hours so I called and left another message; around lunchtime I went down to tell them about the shade with the gap and the bright stadium lighting in the driveway - they had no indication I had called. They' have a quirky ownership situation between timeshare owners, hotel guest, etc. It was unclear who was responsible for maintaining the integrity of the blinds in the room and the staff didn't seem eager to pursue the problem of the blinds or the football stadium lighting in the back parking lot. The rooms was clean, but carpet had some stains.

We visited during the low season, so it was super quiet—which we really enjoyed. At first, the place gave off Hot Tub Time Machine vibes, and honestly, it stayed true to that! It’s not updated, but it’s got its own charm and character.

The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We booked a suite and were pleasantly surprised. I had been a little anxious based on other reviews, but it was clean, the bathtub looked nearly new, and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed.

We loved the pool and jacuzzi—no one else was around, so it felt like a private spa day!

I also appreciated that some suites can connect, which is a great option if you're traveling with multiple families. Overall, a quirky but fun and relaxing stay.

This hotel is old. The rooms are in desperate need of updating. We had what we needed, including an abundance of towels. Staff was nice. It was a bonus to have the amenities offered. Beds were comfortable but we didn't use the sofa bed so I cannot comment on that.
