If you're into clubbing then the clubs are right outside your doorstep. It's a really noisy area especially during the weekend. The staff were really accommodating and the room was really nice. But the AC wasn't the best. The room is really spacious as well which is a plus. It's really close to Taksim Square and Galata Tower. Though because of the proximity to the clubs I had a couple that was fighting right across my room at 11 pm. But that could just be an isolated incident.

This is a small hotel, but the room was good. Friendly owner.
I wish they had supplied the room with coffee and tea, but they had water in the fridge so that was good too. They didn't change our towels (but maybe if we asked they would).
It is near Istiklal Street which was great and had a market and alcohol shop next to it.

One of the worst hotels I have ever been to my whole life. This place is very dirty in a very shady area that is full of prostitute and thieves. A minute before arriving to the hotel my phone was STOLEN , so we did not check-in because it was not secure and safe to stay AT ALL. We booked in another hotel, but when we asked them to refund us the money, they refused and said it is a lot of money to return and they won’t give it back ( clearly they don’t care about their guests, only their money ) so I have lost over $ 1000. All these good reviews and pictures that you see are all fake so DO NOT BELIVE IT. If you really care about your family and belongings DO NOT book in this hotel and advice your loved ones to stay away.

The guys that work at the reception are lovely the cleaner was very rude the area is very noisy and dangerous especially if you’re alone at night time. Apart from that it’s close to everywhere you basically get what you pay for.

Ok but need more cleaning

Thee hotel room was not completely clean, there were some stuff in the trash can and that gave some smell to the room, The fabric on the bed for decoration was smelly and has probably not been washed in years. The hotel was in a good location not far from Taksim, the workers were friendly and could communicate in English, I could smell cigarette in my room and that was very uncomfortable.
The price was ok for the room, the WiFi connection was very slow.

The hotel itself is clean and in a convenient location, next to Istiklal street. The negatives were:
-A lot of noise at night. The hotel is located next to clubs and people tend to bring back the party to the hotel. There was a lot of noise in the rooms next door until 5am.
- no hot water, in December.

Good place to stay, central to Taksim so easy to get the bus to/from Gocken airport. Room was clean and spacious enough. A bit run down - e.g. skirting board had come off the wall, not all lights working. Would be nice if the tea and coffee was complementary. Staff were nice and friendly. Bit noisy at night time - as its in a very busy area, but that comes with being so close to the Taksim shopping street! There is a lift! Would stay here again.

We loved our stay at Jakandra hotel. The staff was very helpful. The location of the hotel is strategical close to Taksim street like 5 min walk. However, if you are light-sleeper and looking for tranquility than ask for a room at the 5th floor. The breakfast is not free and you will be charged like 10 Lira for coffee and 5 Lira for tea. The breakfast is not sufficient and small portion like one egg with couple of cheese slices and bread for 70 Lira (5 Lira for extra egg). I suggest for you to have your breakfast outside or to bring some food to your room there is a small fridge in it.

Once i arrived to istanbul i felt that the hotel is in a very bad location but after the 2nd night i understood that all the party's and the cafee and night life is there, the hotel is 5 min walk to esteklal street and 15 min walk to taksem square , the clubs are every where beside the hotel, the hotel is very small only 8 rooms but its value for money the room is very very clean and the service is really amazing every thing you need they will do.
Pros
-Good location if you need to be close to night life cafee shops and shopping in isteklal
-Value for money
-good break fast ( chesse omlet- cheese- tea- bread)
- can take breakfast in room for free.
-clean room
-amazing service

Cons:
- very small hotel only 8 rooms
- not luxery( only for sleeping)
-not open buffeh breakfast ( cheese- cheese omlet- olive- bread- tea) every day
- location may be bad for people they needs hotel in laxuries place.

Small downtown hotel in a busy street, close to shops and nightlife. We spent one night in a good size room, with a comfortable bed. Great wi-fi! Upon request, they arranged transfers to and from the airport. Good turkish style breakfast, served with care and a smile. Impressed by the effort to make us feel welcome.

very nice hotel, excellent breakfast service (even if the breakfast hall is really tiny).
rooms are tiny but very comfortable and clean. staff is very kind and always available.

only problem is the very noisy neighborhood (lots of discos, pubs etc..) which is great for a drink but extremely annoying at night (especially after 2am)

90% of the staff didn't speak English, not even a word \"water\" untrained staff with very short temper.

Wifi didn't work 80% of the times and stff didn't have any idea how to make it work on your phone & it works only at the lobby.

One of the worst hotel in Istanbul

I would not stay in this hotel even if it is free. It is a dump. This hotel has only 8 rooms with one room by the front desk (yes by the front desk) and two rooms in each floor and that tells you how large it is.. You can hear everything outside. It was difficult to get in and out of this hotel and not easy to find by taxi. This hotel is a one person show i.e. only one guy sitting on a small front desk with minimum help available. You will need to take you own luggage in and out. It is really a huge disappointment and a waste of every penny. I stayed at more than 9 hotels in Istanbul in my visit and this one is by far the worst. Do not stay here and do not say I did not tell you!

Definitely worth staying

Fantastic location right in the middle of the nightlife. No need to walk very far, within a minute there are lots of places to eat and drink. I didn't have a problem with noise but you could hear a little late at night, not much that would wake me, but there was a little. So if you are expecting none, then maybe not the place. With that said it really isn't loud and annoying, but if any noise is an issue then go to a different area. I never woke up once from the noise but rather from the time difference, then could hear a little noise. Room clean and worked great for me. Turkish breakfast each morning and was good. I would go back in a minute for the cleanliness, location, and the price.

Newly renovated and close to Taksim Square

We stayed on the 4th floor, which turned out to be great because most of the noise did not reach us. The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked great. We took HAVAS, Shuttle bus, directly from airport into Taksim. It only cost us $5 USD.Get off the bus, go into Taksim Square, look for the Burger King at the beginning of one of the streets on the other side of the square. Follow it down for about 10 minutes. You need to look for the MAC store on the right hand side. Walk down that alley and you will see the Odda Hotel, turn right into that alley. hotel is on the left. Funicular in the Square where you catch a ride to the Tram 1, which takes you all around town including the waterfront, Emoniou, and to Saltanhamet. Each cost 4tl ($2US) per ride. Our room included breakfast. It is a typical Turkish breakfast. It was good way to start the day. If you place a wake-up call, you will not get it.It took a long time for the taxi to come and then when we did get one, he ended up leaving us on the street to walk the rest of the way to the bus station. He offered to take us to the airport for an unreasonable amount of money. We said no. A few minutes later, he told us to walk the rest of the way that the traffic was too much. He did not pop the trunk until I insisted and refused to get out of the car. The staff at the hotel are very nice. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay if we returned. Ask for an upper level fl, or the noise until 4 am will keep you awake.

For the rate we paid, it was amazing value.

The location is close to Main shopping street and the nightlife. The room was decent, great shower pressure and the staff are amazing. No complaints on the service or location, but I would say the sofa bed was very hard to sleep on.

Great location if you are into shopping and partying. The hotel is centrally located and every night it was wild on the surrounding streets. This did not bother us though since we are not light sleepers. Also the hotel itself is calm, we didn't hear sounds from the other rooms. Everyone is friendly and breakfast is okay but there's no variation. The last morning we got a special omelette though, which was a nice touch. The room was big, cute, clean, well equipped and very comfortable.

Central, good price but mediocre experience

This hotel is very small and is located very centrally almost next to Nevizade Street, which means A LOT of noise in the evening/night. If you stay there, ask for the 101/201/301/401 rooms, as the 102 etc. are facing the street. The room was fine, but they should hang up some towel hooks in the bath room and buy soap dishes for the little pieces of soap that they change and throw away every day - pretty wasteful if you ask me. The breakfast was also fine but after two days we were a bit tired of it. The staff is very friendly though and happy to help. This hotel is probably best for younger travelers, as a couple going for a mini break we will definitely choose a more upscale hotel the next time. All in all ok, fine, but somehow rather mediocre.

Close to busy spots in Istanbul

Hotel is about 20km from the main airport. This takes over one hour by taxi on a Saturday evening at 5pm and 30mins without traffic back to the airport on Sunday morning. I took the hotel private transfer taxi as I didn't want to deal with public transport after a 10hr flight from Bangkok however if I was going again I would definitely take public transport instead as the private transfer taxi is a expensive in my opinion. The hotel is small and cute on a little side street near what looked like the main shopping street in Istanbul therefore I would say it's a great location. The staff were also very friendly. There was breakfast included and it was nice. I stayed on a ground floor room but didn't find it noisy and this was on a Saturday night. If I was going again I would probably shop around for a better price as I found my room rate a bit expensive for one night.

Excellent position for Taksim and Istiklal Caddesi.
Hotel was clean and breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful. Not in the most beatiful location but great as a central base. Very noisy area in the evening and night but the double blazed windows keep most of the noise at bay.

Está situado cerca de Plaza Taksim y tiene cerca parada de autobuses, está ubicado en un callejón junto a otros hoteles, hay tránsito y se percibe seguro. Corresponde el precio con la calidad, tiene AC, un frigobar y la limpieza estuvo bien y el personal muy amable. Recomendado.

Die Unterkunft ist sauber, Personal freundlich und spricht auch ein wenig Englisch. Die Strasse in der das Hotel liegt ist nicht grad die Beste und es sind viele Diskotheken in der Nähe, die bis in die Nacht hinein laute Musik spielen.

Die Lage zum Einkaufsstraße und zum Taksim Platz ist optimal, es dauert nur wenige Minuten.
