This is not a 5 star hotel the picture are deceiving it is old could have been a 5 star 25 years ago not mantained nothing open or working

Disappointed Hotel to celebrate New Year.

A little disappointed as it advertised a bar and 2 restaurants, but this is a area that doesn't sell alcohol and never found second restaurant (Lebanese )until last day as it's in the sports hall.
As we went to Cairo to celebrate New Year was very disappointing and they had a event in the Hotel for New Year but fully booked to outside guests.
The Hotel is clean and friendly and is in quiet area but most guest were sportsmen and trainee police from the academy we was led to believe.

The door lockers is not working, No enough tissues, blankets, no convenience plugs to use.. There rare guys everywhere in the hall ways smoking laughing out loud and looking at the ladies who passing by. Everyday there is a wedding party with a lot of strangers inside the hotel lobby and hallways. The music is very loud since that the weeding hall inside the hotel and very close to the rooms. The security check the cars every time I am coming in or getting out from the hotel. When I asked the security guy why, he informed me that the hotel is managed by the army forces and subject to their rules and regulations. I do not know this when I did my reservation, otherwise, I will never take my wife to such place. It's good for guys or business travelers. I will never recommend it to anyone. It reminds me with army camps .

the hotel got worse and worse
the reception man was impolite , unprofessional and Uncooperative
they insisted to receive cash and refused credit card which was already used during booking , they gave us 2 far rooms , and after complaint we changed to 2 near rooms which main there was availability from the start , so we was very late check in at 5:00 pm.
in the restaurant , very bad staff who don't want to work and chefs who don't want to cook any food in live stations, very bad service.
the types of food was limited variety and even the available food was of very poor quality, we didn't find anything good to eat.
the room and pool was good.
this hotel can't be 5 star and should be downgraded to 2 star only

Overall is Ok
The food is well done but the dining area is not well furnished.
The swimming pool is fair but closes too early at 5 p.m. which is terrible to leave the pool at this wonderful time.
The aqua park is fully loaded as it left open to public so I do not recommend as regard privacy issues.
Drinks and snacks even cooked food for in room service or at swimming pool are very cheap than outside cafe or restaurants.
In general it is a good value for money.

Took 10 hours to get an extra bed have to call severak times, room was nit ready , missing tea bar , carpet under bed was dusty, my flip flop get stolen in aqua park, filed complaint with Coustmer service, with no response

Unfriendly hotel to tourists

No hotel shuttle to airport, only place to eat was buffet in a large open room. Felt like being in University dorm facility. Asked where bar/lounges were. It was told they don’t have. Web site says they have 2. Unfriendly staff except 1 lady. Charged more upon arrival because I’m not Egyptian. Felt like a prisoner upon arriving as hotel is behind large wall. Nice clean hotel but unless your with a sports team, it’s not a place for a tourist.

Excellent customer service. Great place, rated 5 stars and delivered 10 stars in all categories. The place was very clean. All we needed was there and more. Very comfortable and quiet. All the amenities were in excellent shape. We travel extensively from the USA to many European cities and a lot of countries. This resort was the best of all of them .The price was really a great surprise. It was the lowest of all of them but really delivered the best . Highly recommend it.

Pros ... Clean. Staff are helpful. Fast check in. Breakfast is reasonable
Cons ... The room has a door connecting with the neighbouring room. Although it is closed, you can hear sounds from there and they didnot inform me before stay !

Absolutely horrible. We have booked 2 rooms for 4 people but the staff didn't allow us to to bring our friends and they said that we can bring only men friends not women!!
They increased the price for more than $100 because they said that price we got only for Egyptians!!
They refuse our order to cancel the reservation and they said we MUST stay 1 night minimum otherwise they will get the money!!
I'm looking for a compensation.

Five stars hotel with two stars services.

Food is not up-to 5 stars hotel sub-standard. Non-Arabic speaking families/tourist will suffer. Reception is targeting additional money. the area is remote with no access to car rent nor to tourist office. Monopoly on taxi access /hire since it is remote area. Internet is not working in my room. TV programs is signal corrupted . I had to pay my double booking rate to change the booking (US$ 1460) since the booked room US $ 742 was not suitable. It took them five hours to make the my room suitable for living since it appears to be abandoned suit.

Check in experience Tolip Sports Cairo

The check experience was terrible. Travelocity had booked the double room in my name (as I had purchased on internet) and not in my guests name (for whom I had done the booking).
The hotel would not let my guest check in. They would not let me alter the booking in anyway. They would not let me upgrade the double room to double occupancy. In the end I had to ring Travelocity in America from Cairo - 3 times and I was put through to a number of subagents who could not help (costing me more than a nights stay in mobile bills)

In the end the check in staff at the hotel changed their mind and added me to the room for additional $60.00 - having said earlier it was impossible to do this. I was not even given a receipt for this.
Having said that my guest did go on to enjoy his 3 days stay at the hotel

Incredible situation, Can't be an Hotel, Can be an army unit but NOT a Hotel at all, Hotel access, Gates closes from 12:00 to 8:00 AM You should use other gates to enter Hotel to go to your room, You MUST be familiar to neighbor streets to know where you can find an open GATE?!

Facilities available, However There is NO Hospitality management

Mgmt treat it as an Army unit ?!!

Too many security checks to get in and more scrutiny in the night time. The breakfast is terrible. A Front desk staff by name Mohamed acted as a prosecutor not a customer service staff

Ok hotel, misleading prices - be warned

Not a bad hotel, but the price I was quoted was very misleading. It is very subtle that the rate on Hotels.com is for Egyptians only. If you are like myself, you will be asked to pay double the rate on here upon arrival.

The hotel is 3 star at best, the general condition was poor for anything higher than 3 star. The floors in the lifts are broken marble that moves and makes you feel like the floor could fall out at any moment. The staff do the bare minimum to reach the acceptable standard and nothing more. Breakfast buffet is served with paper and plastic cups, not Eco nor Hotel standard. Wont go back too many better hotels at better prices nearby.

Not recommended.

Service are so bad apart from reception staff. Food quality is not of a four star hotel
Cleanliness in general is so bad. Location has no means of transport a part from the very expensive hotel booked cars.

Affordable with access to sports facilities

Hotel arranged a taxi pickup from the airport and tried to accommodate all of my needs, the staff are friendly and want to provide a good service. The breakfast offers some authentic cuisine and there's a water park on the gated hotel grounds. It was lovely to arrive to a fresh plate of fruit in the room and some bottled water as I arrived at 5am roughly! The room service is also very good for fresh fruit salad.

Don't book city view rooms!!

1- Apart from it is garbage alley view (City View), the real problem that it is close to the wedding hall which makes sleeping at night impossible.
2- The aqua park is not part of the hotel, it is publicly open which makes it a nightmare. It is very crowded and we could hardly find a chair to put our things; specially we checked in during a weekend.
3- No towels or any hotel service at the aqua park and the tables/chairs quality is very poor.

The hotel facilities including the aqua and the pool was good.but there is a lack of cleanness everywhere.
Room was not clean when we checked in,and it took us 4 hours of calling the concerned officer in order to get it done for us.

Lacks the basics

The main problem is with the reception desk, inexperienced nosey and rude. The hotel overall is clean and comfy. But to actually get in and out is quite a hassle. Transportation doesnot exist and no actual service by the pool and very poor breakfast .

Very bad experience

It was a very bad stay!
I was asked by the receptionist to wait for 5 minutes to prepare my room, but it took them half an hour to make it ready! And after I went to the room it was not ready at all and very terrible!!
The weather was very cold and the room heater was not working!! I reported the problem 4 times and every time they asked me to wait for only 5 minutes and they will fix the problem, but it took them one and a half hour to fix it! And I was freezing inside the room and even got cold!!
The technicians and hotel staff were entering the room with their dirty shoes on, which made the carpet very dirty!
There was no iron and iron table in the hotel to force you to use the laundry! Even the laundry service was very bad and very slow! They promised to iron my suit within 5 minutes but it took them more than 40 minutes to bring it back!
They don't have a brush and toothpaste as according to the hotel it is a personal thing and they are not offering them to guests!!
WiFi was terrible! It was not stable, very slow and all pages were not open! Reading my emails was a nightmare!
The breakfast was below average. They even don't have a toaster!
It was mentioned 4.5 stars hotel, but it should be a 2 stars hotel in my opinion!
