The room was not very clean. Stains everywhere. The sofa bed was not a real sofa bed. It should not pass as a bed. The sheet they provided for it was full of stains. The larger bedroom was next to a utility room and it sounded like heavy machinery was running all night.
My friend stepped on a mousetrap (there were 5 or 6 of them in the smaller bedroom). Thankfully she was wearing shoes!

The kitchen wasn't full equipped to cook. We had to asked. Fridge was broken, took over a day to replace it, then coffee not working, took all day to get replace. Then electric went out. Sooo it nice place, but replacement wasn't quickly!!!! Same time they did their part so.....

I stayed at Sonesta Suites in Falls Church, VA and had a great experience. The room was very clean and smelled fresh when I arrived. The sheets were crisp, white, and clearly well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and feel comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job overall. On top of that, the customer service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and well-run hotel.

Lots of places nearby, like CVS, Escape Room, Aldi's (rooms have small kitchens, so we bought groceries), about a mile from Metro station. Room was great! Nice smell to the hotel, soft towels, provides hygiene items such as large bottles of lotions, shampoo, and etc. Kitchenettes come with silverware, cooking pans, plates, cups, etc Bed was comfy and pillows were plump. Super soft and AC unit worked. Limited channels on TV but not a huge issue. Internet was great for being a public WIFI. As a gamer, I had no lag when cloud gaming on my PC.

*Cons*
-Entrance is almost missable (We drove past it the first time), but in the same respect, it felt less like a hotel and more like townhouse entrance in a quaint area.
-Exiting by vehicle was a bit hard due to cars along the street blocking views up and down the road but was manageable.

*These would be knit-picking details
-No snack or soda machines. The lobby had items although they were limited in selection.
-People above us were loud foot-wise, stomping, loud thumps randomly.

We loved staying there and are looking forward to staying again if we get the chance to see DC again.

property was awesome. very clean. brand new. the furniture was top notch. neighbors were nice. no unwanted nuisances. the lighting was perfect. the comforter and bed were extremely comfortable. desk was spacious with a perfect layout and nice wood and color. sofa was nice facing the T.V and the T.V had a lot of channels plus streaming apps and internet. and the biggest perk was that it was pet-friendly. will definitely return.

while the whole staff was helpful, cordial, kind and made you feel welcome;
however, there was a staff member at the front desk that was the total opposite of all the things i mentioned about how great the staff are. she was cold, rude, stuck-up, always gave bad looks and didn't give you the time of day. she is a middle-aged, mixed African American woman with orange dyed hair and wears pantsuits. i wasn't sure if it was just towards me but one person or other people that's not the way you treat clients/guests at your job. that is the ONLY complaint. otherwise everything else was close to perfect.

i want to give a special thanks to Amy from the front desk. to say she was hospitable and supportive is an understatement.

The rooms are an okay size. They are a little cramped and the door hits the furniture if you open it all the way. They have a fold out couch but didnt have and pillows to go with it. The \"full kitchen'' is about the size of an RV kitchen and has no pots and pans. You have to check them out at the front desk and bring them back when you're done. The wifi moves at a glacial speed and when we were there the internet went out all together and we couldn't stream any tv. They do have a laundry room but its in a super inconvenient location. In the middle of the second floor of the main building so its a bit of a trek to get to it if your room is anywhere else. They have hundreds of guests and 1 place for laundry, which wouldnt have been such a big issue bc they have 2 washers and 3 dryers. But only 1 washer and dryer worked so if another guest leaves their clothes in too long then youre up a creek. They have 2 outdoor grills to use but only one of them worked and only half of it at that. They are pet friendly and many people have their doggos walking around (but if you dont like dogs then you're 100% the problem lol) its in a great area and only about 20 mins or so to all the DC attractions. Its walking distance to coffee and grocery stores. Theres lots of historic stuff to look at nearby as well. (Pictured below is the half stove lol)

Loved the size of the room. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The AC worked ok, it had trouble keeping up with the temperature you set it at but did keep the room cool enough to be liveable. They only clean the room 2x per week which is fine but they should provide a vacuum or dustpan in the rooms to be able to clean the floors the days they don't come to clean them. Very nice location close to an Aldi for convenient grocery shopping. Overall a very pleasant stay!

I was very happy with my choice. The room was clean, clean, clean! I was very impressed. The sheets smelled wonderful and it was a pleasure to fall asleep in that bed. The room had a couch, as well as a nice desk area with lights and mirror above…a great spot to do your hair and make-up. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance, even a stove and oven. Again, every appliance squeaky clean. Scott, the manager and Malik at the front desk were wonderful. Both were helpful, warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. If I had planned better/sooner, I would have stayed a couple extra days and taken in the sights in DC as access to DC is very easy from this location. If you ever need to stay in the Falls Church/DC area, I recommend you stay here. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m a loyal customer of Sonesta for long time. But during my recent visit the room was given to us made me itchy all over the body. They don’t have any mattress cover protector.I check in around 10pm. I keep calling the front desk but nobody pick up. I have to drive to find cvs to get anti-itch cream and Benadryl. Next day I ask the cleaning lady/housekeeping to clean the room and vacuum the mattress the most and change the bedsheet since I was so itchy last night I even showed the photo. The housekeeping said “the room is not scheduled for the cleaning today. They are following a cleaning schedule”. I was so upset I went to talk to receptionist and showed him the photo. Thankfully, he called the housekeeping dept to clean the room.

Worst night of sleep at a hotel in my life. My husband was having surgery at a local hospital and we are from out of town, so we thought staying overnight and close would be a good choice. Not a good choice. Dogs barked every hour for 20 minutes at a time. No hot water for the morning shower. Just not a great experience.

We stayed for a week while visiting DC. Our family suite was very spacious and very clean - great location and excellent value for money. We were comfortable and it had everything we needed, and the staff were also super helpful!
Our only big issue was PM parking. The parking lot was always full of trucks, parked across multiple spaces so every night we either went without parking or had to squeeze into spots - we talked to other guests who were equally frustrated. The staff were understanding but it was outside their control. Also, the corridors smell of smoke so I’m guessing people are smoking in the rooms. If you’re not bothered by the smell of smoke then it’s not an issue.

It was an average stay. It would have been nice to have hooks in the bathroom and wash areas. There was also no hand soap in the wash area near the bathroom as well as a place to hang a hand towel. I had to open one of the drawers to serve as place to hang a hand towel. The door hinge of the smaller room was out of place so we were afraid to close the door thinking it may get dislodged. It would also be nice to have a water pitcher with a filter. Oh and also a rubber mat for the bath tub will be ideal especially for seniors like us to prevent from slipping while showering. The bathroom tissue was a bit rough for my liking. Preferable to have waste baskets in both rooms. I know the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are just perks but I have been to other hotels where they were amazing. The ones you have are pretty basic in my opinion, nothing to brag about. So all in all it was just an average stay. The one thing that I truly liked was the front office lady who was very welcoming and explained everything to me and the cleaning staff that we met on our way to our room were pretty friendly and always had a smile on their faces!

Nice suites in Falls Church

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good price and value for money. The suites have a full kitchen, little light in terms of the pots / pans and cutlery. Staff was very friendly.

Location is good , with a couple of nice coffee shops nearby. The metro station is not walkable though.

Parking at night was a little hard to come by because there were some big construction trucks parked.

Property was conveniently located to Washington DC area attractions. Area around property had nice restaurants and shopping for groceries and essentials.

Suite always seemed to smell like either cigarette smoke or marijuana and also especially in the hallways.

Mouse droppings were found under the kitchen sink and actual live mouse was found on a mouse trap under the kitchen sink.

Manager was quick to respond to above situation and promptly refunded our stay.

Staff was very accommodating to arrange for adjoining rooms with family. Rooms clean and recently updated. Kitchen could use more supplies of dishes and utensils. Walls aren’t very soundproof if you are unfortunate to have an inconsiderate neighbor but staff helpful to get volume dropped when notified.

The front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. The room was terrific: very comfortable bed, good desk and sitting areas, and full kitchen stocked with essential dishware. The only negative was occasional loud noise directly above our room as if furniture was being moved. I would definitely stay again and will look for Sonesta Simply Suites elsewhere when traveling.

You know it's a surprisingly enjoyable stay. I was really just going mainly on price when I booked it but the rooms were more comfortable than expected and the most impressive thing was that it was just very quiet.
