Great hotel in very good location
The hotel has a great location. You can get by foot to the town centre in about 15 minutes and the beaches around the hotel are way less crowded than in other parts. There is also a bus station close by that will get you to Binz station as well as surrounding towns and the Rasender Roland.
The hotel itself is surprisingly large with a lot of amenities on offer that we didn't have time to check, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars as well as fun activities within the hotels perimeters. The 2 room apartment is big and has everything you could need including a drying rack, pots and pans for cooking, hair dryer, and plenty of tables to eat. Only one thing to note, at least for us, the shampoo dispenser was outside the shower with no other options provided, so consider to bring your own.

In general we were very happy with the time we spent in the IFA Rügen Hotel & Ferienpark. I think for the money, it matched the expectations.

Value for money accommodation in charming Binz
Surprising good hotel, considering the modest price and huge scale. It's not as charming as the old Victorian-style guesthouses in Binz, but it's right on the beach, and rooms are surprisingly spacious and everything is squeeky clean. We even had a small balcony, looking on to the forest. Dogs are allowed for an extra €10. Mini tea kitchen and plenty of space for clothes. Nice touches for a beach resort, such as a hoover (for all that sand) and a clothes dryer (for wet swimwear). Not bad at all.
But don't expect personal service - this is a HUGE place. And it's on the outskirts of Binz, about 15 minutes walk from the centre/pier. No breakfast provided - but plenty of other places, along the beach promenade.

Nice hotel but dated rooms. There was only one outlet available in the bathroom. The other outlets were covered by furniture. The breakfast buffet was good but in the age of COVID, there were a lot of people allowed in the breakfast area at one time.

We had leakage in our room , need to change room two times due to no heating available in winter time and it was really rough,
Considering the price we pay the property it not worth , they don’t have king or queen bed is most of room just two bed connected to make it one which is really not comfortable for couples,
On positive side staff is very helpful and food and buffet is very good with very friendly helpful staff, location is amazing by the beach and all attractions is next door,

At North end of Binz.
Our trip to Rugen was based on no experience - just reviews. The island has many different \"towns\". Binz is a high end resort on the Baltic. IFA Rugen has a water park and is suited to families with younger children or those who just like to wander. For us, I would have stayed at south end, closer to zentrum. Or, have stayed in another town. This hotel, however, was excellent. We had an apartment in the strand with small kitchen eye and full shower. Receptionist was lovely and spoke English graciously. This is not an English speaking part of Germany. Wifi was pretty standard for Germany (faster in the early am and poor at night). All in all a great base to explore the island from. Right next to train line as well for easy transit access.

Perfect for my needs
We came to take part in the Ruegen 70.3 Ironman event and the hotel was exactly what was needed. Enough room to spread out/ prepare/ dry out all the kit and self contained kitchen for an early personalised breakfast, shower to remove the sand and sweat and a nice bed to recover in. The place is spacious and slow and the sound of the wind and waves are comforting.

Location is great. Right next to beach. Grocery store 5 min walk away. Loved the playground. Pool is fantastic. We had an apartment and the layout was terrible! The stove was directly behind the front door. Absolutely NO counter space. No outlets in the kitchen except on the floor. So we had to put the toaster on the ground. The dining table was in the bedroom with two twin beds. The pull out couch was barely big enough for my 9 and 7 year olds. Although we enjoyed the location and pool, we probably would not return.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The rooms were very fresh, the staff very friendly and the breakfast very rich. The only downside were the beds. You could definately tell that they were \"worn\", with a concave shape.

Hidden Gem.
The hotel is located right beside the beach and just about a 5 min walk from both the bus/train station and the main street. There is also lots of parking on site. The staff here were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I stayed in 1 of the apartments but they also have hotel rooms. My apartment was very spacious with it's own balcony. It was very clean and had every appliance one could need. The only thing I was missing was shower gel as this was surprizingly not provided but I was able to get some in the edeka down the road. There are also a variety of restaurants on site, a pool, spa, activities like mini-golf and a gift shop. Overall I was very pleased with my stay here and would like to return again in the future.

Disappointing
At check in they seemed suprised to see 4 adults and a child even though I had a confirmation that this was the reservation. There was NO place for 2 of the adults to sleep. They had this fold out foam sofa that was supposed to fit 2 adults- it was ridiculous! We had to take the beds apart and sleep on the box springs so we all had a surface to sleep on. They did not come clean the room while we were there and we ran out of toilet paper and the garbage got really full. There was no soap or shampoo, but the maid came later and seemed suprised we were there and brought us some. She saw we were messing with the beds, showed us the sofa bed (which we had already eliminated as an option) and saw it was broken and said she would send someone to fix it. No one ever came to do so. Check in at 5 and check out at 10am seemed excessive as well- the maids were knocking on the door at 9:30 to clean the room the day we departed. There were a lot of extra fees and taxes- they even charged us to park at their hotel! Overall, very disappointing for the price point and what they claim is offered on Expedia. Bright spots- excellent access to the beach, great pool and lots of things to do in the main hotel area.

The IFA Rugen was perfect for our family -- right on the beach, convenient to the pool and playground, and near the promenade. We loved it and are planning our next trip! THe room was basic, fully-equipped, and clean.

Couldn't have been happier with location and standard of cleanliness at hotel. We are a family of four and booked at 2 room apartment, not realising that this would mean sleeping on a sofa bed which as my husband is 6, 2\" was not ideal. However this would not put us off going back and using this hotel again (small price to pay for ideal location close to beach for kids).

Das Zimmer war schön groß. Wir hatten eine kleine Küche mit drin, mit Herd, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster uns Wasserkocher. So waren wir nicht an Zeiten gebunden und konnten uns selbst verpflegen. Da das Hotel einFamilienhotel ist, so waren viel Kinder unterwegs und am Abends etwas lauter. Aber nicht schlimm. Die Promenade ist gleich neben an. Man konnte auf die Ostsee schauen, toll.

Ganz Ok, aber mehr leider nicht. Liegt etwas abgelegen von der Ortsmitte. Leider war bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht alles im Hotel nutzbar. Weiterhin ist es nichts besonderes, ist und bleibt nun mal ein ehemaliges DDR Ferienobjekt.

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, ca. 90 € pro Tag ist Top. Schwimmbadbereich war sehr voll inkl. Wartezeit von ca. 20 min. Für Familie mit kleineren Kindern sicher toll inkl. großer Rutsche. Gerne wieder, sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr vielen Möglichkeiten für Kinder. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen waren gut. Wir hatten ein Einraum-Appartement, das hat für uns drei vollkommen ausgereicht. Zimmer war sehr ordentlich und sauber. Personal war sehr freundlich, insbesondere die Mitarbeiterin, die am Empfang von Restaurant stand.
Der Strand ist sehr nah und das Hauseigene Bad ist auch vollkommen ausreichend.

Wir hatten anfangs ein negatives Erlebnis, denn unser Apartment war sehr schmutzig (Boden, Schlafcouch, Bad, Kühlschrank, einfach alles) Nach Anfrage bei der Rezeption bekamen wir aber sofort ein neues Apartment und dieses war dann sauber. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Die zugehörigen Parkhäuser bieten ausreichend Platz, sind aber leider nicht kostenfrei. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich und mit guter Auswahl. Der Strand liegt direkt am Hotel und ist nur durch die Promenade getrennt. Seebrücke, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Zentrum sind gut fußläufig erreichbar. Was uns jedoch nicht gefallen hat, war das hauseigene Erlebnisbad. Dieses kann von jedem Gast 2 Stunden täglich kostenfrei genutzt werden. Wir kamen jedoch nicht dazu, da es zu jeder Tageszeit voll war und wir nicht reingelassen wurden. Das liegt daran, dass das Bad für die Hotelgröße viel zu klein ist und zudem mehrere Bereiche (u.a. Kleinkindbereich) gesperrt sind (\"außer Betrieb\"). Auch andere Bereiche (zb. Spielhalle und Restaurant Seestern) befinden sich im Umbau und sind nicht nutzbar. Da unser Urlaub leider von sehr schlechtem Wetter begleitet wurde und wir dadurch nicht an den Strand konnten, empfanden wir die vielen nicht nutzbaren Lokationen sehr ärgerlich. Ein Umbau im Winter wäre sinnvoller, statt zur Urlaubszeit im Juli. Fazit: da das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis eigentlich ok war, probieren wir es im nächsten Jahr noch einmal und schauen, ob sich was gebessert hat. Wir empfehlen das Hotel trotzdem

In der Küche im Zimmer war der Schrank an einer Ecke kaputt. Im Bad war in der Dusche Schimmel und der Seifenhalter war verrostet und abgeblättert. Es lag ein Haar vom Vorgast auf den Fließen, eine Fließe war defekt. Das Silikon bei der Ablage beim Waschbecken war verfärbt. Optimale Wassertemperatur konnte man auch nicht einstellen, entweder heiß oder ganz kalt. Die WC Brille war ein wenig defekt und die Toilette hatte Urinstein. Die Bettwäsche hatte Löcher. Der Föhn war verschmutzt und ging nach paar Sekunden aus. In den Fließenfugen war auch Schimmel.

Trotz Meldung an der Rezeption änderte sich nichts. Wir hätten eine Entschuldigung erwartet. Beim Frühstück fehlten Müslis und es war zu wenig Obst und Gemüse da. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Essen und Getränke sind etwas zu teuer. Das Personal war bei uns immer sehr freundlich. Ich hatte im Hotelzimmer etwas vergessen. Nach einem Telefonat wurde mir die Sache sehr schnell Nachgesendet. Wir sind sehr zufrieden. Kommen wieder.

Das Personal beim CheckIn war leider sehr kurz angebunden und man hat kaum Infos zum Hotel erhalten, wenn man nicht gezielt danach gefragt hat. Der Pool war leider zum Baden (mit Kindern!) viel zu kalt, selbst der Whirlpool war nahezu kalt! Der Ausgang der Wasserrutsche lag gefährlich und es kam immer wieder zu Zwischenfällen, wo Rutscher mit Schwimmern kollidiert sind - sehr gefährlich v.a. für Kinder! Wir waren 4 Nächte da und es wurde nicht 1x das Zimmer gesäubert oder die Handtücher gewechselt. Wollte man einen Bademantel oder extra Handtücher (z.B. für den Pool) musste man sich diese gegen eine Leihgebühr an der Rezi holen - das haben wir von einem anderen Hotelgast erfahren, nicht vom Personal! Beim nächsten Mal in Binz gehen wir lieber in eine FeWo oder in ein anderes Hotel.

Unterkunft im Einraum-Appartement im Oktober 2024, mit kleiner Küchenzeile, welche es mir erlaubte mein Frühstück in gewohnter Weise einzunehmen. Die Ausstattung (Töpfe, Pfanne, Herd) lässt auch die Zubereitung kleinerer Mahlzeiten problemlos zu. Das Zimmer fand ich wie auf den Fotos vor, alles zu meiner Zufriedenheit. Zentrales Element im Erlebnisbad ist die große Rutsche, auf der Kinder, so sie wollen, schon einmal zwei Stunden mit rutschen verbringen können. Zum Schwimmen ist das Bad eher ungeeignet. Das ist aber auch nicht der Zweck dieser Anlage, welche sich vielmehr an Kinder im Altern von 2 bis 12 Jahren richtet. Für die Eltern stehen ausreichen Liegen zur Verfügung. Empfehlenswert ist ein Besuch des Bades vor 16oo, da es danach meiner Erfahrung nach zu Wartezeiten (ca. 10-15min) beim Einlaß kommen kann. In den Ferienzeiten ist die Verweildauer im Bad auf 2h begrenzt, um allen Gästen die Möglichkeit des Besuchs zu geben. Wer möchte, kann jedoch mehrfach am Tag 2h im Bad verbringen. Das Buffet im Familienrestaurant konnte problemlos spontan Abends direkt am Einlass gebucht werden. Wer mit mehreren Personen dort Essen möchte, sollte jedoch vorher über die Rezeption reservieren, um einen passenden Tisch bekommen zu können. Das Buffet war ausgewogen un für jeden war etwas dabei. Von Eierkuchen mit Apfelmuss für die kleinsten, bis Fisch und Fleisch für älteren. Unschlagbar ist allerdings die Lage, je nach Haus keine 100m zum Strand.

Fin beliggenhed tæt på Binz men udover det så er der ikke meget positivt at sige.
Slidt hotel, hvor mange ting ikke virker og eller er enormt slidt - hele børneafdelingen/spil afdelingen er tæt på ubrugelig. Hotellets normale restaurant er virkelig ringe men tilgengæld meget dyr.

Das Hotelzimmer war nur Oberflächlich und schlecht geputzt, vieles war wegen des Kalkhaltigen Wassers total verdreckt, wie der Klobürstenhalter und die Wasserkräne, weshalb es nach schlechter Hygiene aussah. Außerdem waren mehrere Dinge kaputt und der Pool ist so winzig, dass man eigentlich nicht runtergehen muss. Weder die Rutsche, die Wasserdüsen noch der Strudel hat funktioniert, im Whirlpool waren alle Lichter unter der Decke kaputt und die Öffnungszeiten sind mit 10-19 Uhr wirklich schrecklich.

Wir hatten ein Appartement mit zwei Zimmern, waren zu zweit mit Hund und hatten eine schöne Zeit. Das reichhaltige Frühstück haben wir im Hotel genossen, dss Schwimmbad war auch schön, leider hatte die Sauna zu, leider war kein Ala card Restaurant offen aber fußläufig sind viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Wir waren beim Italiener und beim Griechen und es gab auch einfach mal einen Döner. Die direkte Strandlage ist auch super.

Tolle Lage, direkt am Strand, wir waren im Haus 3 und hatten von der Essecke den Blick direkt auf die Strandpromenade und die Ostsee. Zweimal in der Woche war Life-Musik mit Tanzabend. Sehr gute Freizeitmöglichkeit, besonders auch für Familien mit Kindern. Gemütliche Plaza-Bar. Das Schwimmbad haben wir nicht genutzt da die Lufttemperatur immer über 25 Grad war. Über die Strandpromenade konnte man gut zu Fuß zur Seebrücke und dem Zentrum laufen.

Für 3 Sterne lohnt es sich nicht das hotel zu buchen. Das Person war beim ersten Eindruck sehr unhöflich und das Zimmer war sehr heruntergekommen. Mit hund gab es keine andere Zimmer und das fand ich sehr schade. Das Wasser im Schwimmbad war sehr kühl und daher nicht angenehm zu Entspannung. Die freizeit Anlagen waren nicht im guten Zustand und daher nicht wirklich nutzbar. Viele andere Angebote wie z.b. cocktailbar oder wellness waren dauerhaft geschlossen. Die Betten waren sehr unbequem und das troz Unterlagen. Vom Frühstück könnte man mehr erwarten fazit: für 100 euro mehr bekommt man im anderen hotels weit mehr geboten. Viel zu teuer für das was man bekommt.
