We had a fantastic stay on the island. It was so relaxing, yet there were enough activities that we could take part in on the island - snorkelling, weaving, coconut cooking classes, crab cooking classes, medicine nature walk, line fishing, banana boat rides, kayaking, lounging on the hammock, karaoke, kava tasting etc.. The evening shows were fantastic. The staff were super friendly, everyone is considered part of family. The food was authentic Fijian, including being cooked in the ground on hot rocks - lovo. There is nothing better than being on an island relaxed Fiji style, meters from the beach and warm water.

We had absolutely beautiful one week holiday on the island. Myself and my 10 years old daughter had the best, relaxing massage there. Ladies was amazing . All activities through the day are awesome,amazing buffet meals with wonderful culture connections. All staff friendly, kind,polite.

There are so many different activities everyday and so much to do but so many options to relax as well. The spa was wonderful and the beach and pool are beautiful. We loved our stay at Likuri Island Resort. The staff were so friendly, and as its a small resort we got to know the other guests and staff, and it felt like a very personal experience. The resort was very quiet and peaceful. Great activities each day, so we were never bored. The cultural shows were amazing, the Fire Dancing Displays were fantastic. Beautiful Island, beautiful staff, amazing holiday!

The stay was incredible, the activities were exciting and the meals were delicious. Lovely walk around whole island with beautiful scenery. Evening shows were incredible, especially the fire dancing you can definitely tell a lot of hard work has gone into practicing them. Pool towels are provided but can be hard to come by so bring your own as backup. The staff are absolutely amazing and they make Likuri the special place it is. Would definitely recommend!

The room was beautiful, we were left alone when in and around the rooms which I loved but the staff were always near by if I needed anything.
The food cooked every day for breakfast lunch and dinner was AMAZING!
All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I wish I stayed longer.

Activities good, Food liked the Breakfast and lunches buffet style only draw back dinner is traditional earth oven Island style---pork was nice but it really needs fresh salads and maybe fish or chicken curry to offset heavy traditional food and better cater for European taste.
Then the holiday be 5 out of 5.

Not easy to transfer. Make sure you take everything you need with you, once there you are stuck.
The manager and the bartender were extremely unfriendly. Rest of the people lovely.
Food not good enough, pretty rough actually, however the show day the food is nice, not dessert thought.
Show amazing, and activities were nice.

We have an amazing time in Likuri Island, the staff are incredible friendly, it was our second time with my husband, but first time for our kids and they loved it, the place have everything you need and more.
The food is ok, is buffet so you can eat as much as you want, the beds was a bit to hard for us , but I’m sure if we ask for something a bit softer the staff probably will accommodate us, they did the first time we went.
They have activities every day and for all ages, and awesome shows
So we recommend this beautiful place 100%.

Everyone there was incredible! I went there alone and left with Fiji family. They really go out of their way to make you feel special. The entire vibe was amazing!
If you are looking for an upscale resort, this isn't it. If having a good time with great people is more your speed, you'll want to spend your Fiji time on Likuri Island.
Be sure to visit the village! They have such a wonderful sense of community. And remember to bring plenty of cash! The women of the village have many lovely handcrafted items available!

We loved our stay at Likuri Resort and would recommend to families with young children. We stayed in the beachfront bure and it was perfect - king size bed and sofa beds made up, kettle and mini fridge, air conditioning, outside shower and very easy and beautiful beach access.

The food was good and the staff obviously try to make an effort to offer variety - although chicken and fish were staples. As it’s a buffet meal with set times, it can be a bit tricky with kids with nap times and picky eating - but still doable. We packed lots of snacks and the bar sells hot chips and toastie etc., so no one was starving!

The beach was lovely with beautiful sand and somewhat clear water (it had been quite stormy before our stay). The pool was a bit dated but well maintained and clean and our kids loved it.

Best part of the resort was the friendly staff. They loved the kids and they all made an effort to learn their names and interacted with them. There were daily activities that changed. We loved that Fiji culture was incorporated in the activities and events. There are lots of people that come for day visits to experience the island, activities and the fire show. So it could be sometimes be annoying in the evenings if there was lots of non-residents staying, but not a massive issue.

We stayed 4 nights with a 4 year old and a 1.5 year old and found it to be perfect. We didn’t do any expeditions off the island and spent our days at the beach, pool, or activies. Highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Likuri Island. The bures/toilets weren't overly fancy but the whole experience of the island definitely made up for it. The staff are so friendly and run heaps of fun activities. The food was delicious and we never went hungry. Would definitely recommend to others who want a relaxing holiday with elements of authentic Fijian culture.

My friend and I have just returned from 5 days on Robinson Crusoe Island and Likuri Island Resort. We had an amazing time. The scenery and surroundings are stunningly beautiful. The resort itself is is great. We lazed around but if you're an active person there's plenty of activities...swimming, snorkelling, table tennis, volleyball, jet skiis, kayaks and paddle boards. They also provide much entertainment with shows of dancing including fire dance. And many workshops and excursions to e.g. a local village. The food was plentiful. A bit of a challenge for us being vegan and GF but they did their very best and if you eat meat there is much to eat. But the icing on the cake was the people. Their service felt very personal. Nothing was an effort. Their friendliness and smiles and many \"Bula\" made this holiday an exceptional experience. I would highly recommend it.

Marvellously relaxing in that all you can do is read,swim and chat .Lovely no TV......the staff are excellent.The food excellent.Evening shows have to be the best i have seen in Fiji anywhere.Honestly it is worth the expense of taking the boat over to spend time there,taste a lovo,see the fire walking...and the fantastic evening show.
However...i booked a bure that had only a bed that i could just squeeze past ..i think tbey must have built the bed in the room.no way would it go in the door.and 1 bedside table...nothing else....outside toilet and shower that i had to walk down a boardwalk to in the middle of the night...the first night there was a 1.5 metre snake in my path....so i never used the toilet at night ...i inprovised with a bucket.
I asked to upgrade my room as i am 75 yrs old and i found all this rather stressful...well it was $155F extra per night ...well and truely too expensive for a pensioner.i had already paid $250F a night!!!!!!!i was stressed ev erynight ...the door didnt fit the doorframe so i had to push my clothesinto the gap around the door to stop the snakes coming in....i was stressed coming from NZ as we do not have snakes.
I guess i may not have read the fine print when i booked .
It is a wonderful place to stay if you have the money to afford the big bures with inside toilets and showers....

We really enjoyed our time on Likuri.
On the rustic rather than fancy side which we loved, sand on all the paths from rooms to eating area to beach so stayed barefoot most of the time.
Stayed in the Beachouse for 2 nights (2 adults 4 kids), was a good amount of room for us, comfy beds, no aircon but fans were all we needed anyway.
Kids loved snorkelling, kayaking around the island when calm, and joining in on activities like jewellery making, weaving, crab racing and the dance and fire show.
Food was really good and staff were delightful - all were so friendly and keen to interact with us and the kids.
Would definitely return.

We snorkelled, enjoyed some kayaking, coconut tasting, kava tasting, witnessed a spectacular fire show and made a trip out to a local village to witness real life in Fiji.

The staff were very friendly and hard working. The resort had daily tourist boat arriving for the show and lunch/dinner. You get free tea and instant coffee 24/7. The food is basic not much healthy choices.The pool is very dirty. Your room is not cleaned daily but every 3rd day. Drinks and wifi are very expensive. Cocktails are at $25, Wifi at $70 for 7 days. The resort offers free snorkelling, kayak, kava ceremonies and drinks. It is very busy and constant music... if you think you are on an remote island and can have some quiet time, you will not find it here.

My family had an amazing stay at Likuri. The staff were incredible, we’re so happy to share so many pieces of Fijian culture with us! Every was extremely friendly with both our toddler and or baby, and happy to take them to play on the trampoline to just us a minute to ourselves!
Plus the beach is incredible, and you can walk the entire island. Food is what you’d except from a family style buffet on a remote island, but we had fresh fruit and lovo!
We would totally stay again and have already reccomend our friends stay on their trip in January with their small kids!

An unexpected gem in this amazing resort with Bure style accommodation, amazing staff, fantastic entertainment and cost effective for where the OTHER RESORTS GO TO.

From the start, transfers were easy, the boat ride is an adventure, but if you understand island time and trust they will look after you, then you’ll be on the island in about 40mins from drop off at the jetty.

You’re greeted with the beauty of the Fijian singing and music, welcomed in and greeted by the friendliness of the staff, and you’ll be immediately set to island time.

The Bures are literally on the waterfront, with hammocks, outdoor shower (private) and not more than 5m to the beach. The island is walkable at approximately 2km in circumference so make that your night or day walk.

Activities are plentiful from snorkelling, fishing, cooking classes, fire dancing, jewellery making, tree climbing and every possible use of the coconut, you won’t be bored if you don’t want to be.

We stayed for four nights and had one of the most wonderful experiences given the staff interaction and the natural state of the community culture with staff and guests mingling, singing and sharing stories, over kava or any drink from the bar.

Meals were inclusive for our package and we didn’t have the same thing twice, with beautiful fish, chicken, beef, vegetable and rice meals offered at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Enjoy the true Fiji experience at this absolute true gem of Fiji in Likuri Island Resort.

If you’re looking for luxury, don’t come here.
If you want some peace, relaxation and great exposure to Fijian culture, then I highly recommend this place.
Stayed here for a week on a whim after accidentally stumbling upon it, and I’m glad I did, one of the best weeks I’ve ever had.
The staff are what makes this place special, I travelled solo and they immediately make you feel like family.
Food was decent, bar was great, the beach access, water sports and the daily shows / activities were the highlight.

Again if you’re a little pretentious, and an outdoor shower scares you, then stick to the big resorts.
If you want true island bliss away from the crowds then Likuri delivers on all counts.
Will definitely be back!

We loved our stay on the Island. All of the staff were lovely. Tori and Shaun were especially friendly. We stayed for 9 nights and happily stayed on the Island the entire time. It was so relaxing, but things to do if you wanted.
The only thing we would change if we came again, would be to stay in a beach house, rather than in the garden facility.

Our stay at Likuri was utter bliss, and we left feeling like we had become part of their family after only four days! We have two teenage kids who didn’t touch their phones the whole time we were there because they were too busy learning how to climb coconut trees, snorkelling and generally enjoying the breathtaking beauty of this jewel of an island. If you want to feel like you’ve truly left the world behind and landed in paradise, stay here! If you want to understand the joy of living life on Fiji time and be looked after by the most wonderful welcoming and talented group of islanders, this is the place for you!

Stay away!!!

Went for 14 nights to just relax, and not do anything. Hugely inconvenienced with electrical breakdowns in burre. Tolerated for 3 nights without electricity. Was moved to another burre on other side of island, but only to be returned to the same burre without power. Was assured it was fixed, but got there, and 10 tradesman working on it. Meanwhile, I was hurriedly checked out of the other burre that the manager didn’t like me having for the inconvenience. Ocean front. It was here I noticed that my original burre was not fit for human habitation. Wind blowing from all sides. No insulation. Freezing cold at nights especially. Staff broke my zipper luggage without letting me know at the time. Staff stopping at my burre hoping for free handouts. Became very uncomfortable to stay. Food is recycled from meals from previous days. Certainly not worth $79 Aus per day. Same old, day after day. Give our food to their staff. So if you ask for something afterwards , they claim no more food. Highway robbery! Dancers spectacular! Best I have seen in Fiji. Standout staff- Shaun the sheep, and young Nazri! Owner, managing director really need to visit the island because many people from Australia always complained, and demanded refunds for the stays.

We stayed in the beach house which is old but had an amazing breeze all day. If you want air con and new go to the new beach front rooms.
The staff make this place breathe, oh and the gorgeous beach. We had a massage which is reasonably priced and drinks are good!
Plenty of food - two choices each day really. We snorkelled off the ref with the staff which was awesome…. And the shows were free as we were staying on the island…. Great relax - very laid back place!

We have just come home from 9 nights staying on Likuri Island. The place is great and so are the people. We have kids that are 9 and 11 and they did not want to come home! The Staff on the island are fantastic, and go over and above for guests on the island to make you feel at home and enjoy the experience. Transport from the airport to the island is easy. Getting to see real Fiji, the people and the different things the country have to offer is highly recommended. We will definitely return here for another holiday in the future, for another relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

i liked to be on an island, everything was basic, but it had a really good feel to it. The outdoor dining area was simple tables and benches, well organised under a shady roof, from which you could appreciate the view and the night and day shows. The garden was beautiful, clean and well kept. the lovely beach was protected from the constant winds coming from the other side of the island, with day beds on the beach, protected from the sun by strong straw constructions. I really enjoyed the big hammocks, and the shady area next to the bar with comfortable armchairs overlooking the ocean. the cabins were lovely with big king size beds, but they were too small and not much room around the bed also nothing where you could put your clothes [like hooks maybe], no bed side tables, and the mattresses were not comfortable [cheap foam which would sink rapidly and created a dip [my back didn't like that. Better foam is needed. Great separate simple bathroom. you can easily walk around the island at low tide, go kayaking, or even sail.

Our experience at Likuri Island, Fiji, was a complete disaster. Despite booking and paying for a private transfer, we were crammed into a vehicle with other passengers, turning a 45-minute journey into a grueling two-hour ordeal. Arriving at night in complete darkness with only a tiny torch to guide us on a boat was not only unsettling but also felt dangerous. The room we were provided was dirty, with a dirty fan blowing dirty air and primitive bathroom conditions. It felt like a scam. The pictures we saw online looked nothing like the reality, it felt like a small coffin and charges seemed to be made up on the spot. Great place for R&R staff are all amazing and certainly make the place what it is but I think they would love to do more for the island if they had support from the owners. Definitely room for improvement with regards to the environment for example water stations to fill your water bottles would be amazing, rather than having a free new bottle of water each day. Maybe an odd litter pick around the areas at the back of the island , as this island is only small people do walk circuits around the perimeter so the less desirable areas are on show. However I would not hesitate to recommend this island and certainly would be more than happy to revisit again. but a small injection of cash would make a huge difference . This is not a 4 star resort but service is 5 star

I went with my two 3 year olds, and we absolutely loved it. The setting was wonderfully natural, with sand and grass beneath our feet. Having a buffet for all meals was perfect for my kids, as they could try different things, and nothing was spicy, which was great for them. The fire dancing was spectacular, particularly the evening show.

I’m always reluctant to leave a bad review but I wish I had taken the negative reviews I had read more seriously.
We left one beautiful Fijian resort to see another side of Fiji and were excited to see Likuri from the water as it’s a beautiful spot. Unfortunately the good vibes didn’t continue. To sum up our experience- The staff ranged from rude to indifferent, the buffet only option was awful/inedible, all normal amenities are extra costs - i.e. snorkels and wifi, the accomodation was in really bad condition - terrible bed and bathroom and a non flushing toilet which was disastrous as I had a case of Fijii Belly the night we stayed. We were so miserable - we decided to leave after one night even though the extra nights we’d paid for were non refundable.
We are not the type of people to need luxury or five star resorts but to be made to feel unwelcome on holiday is hard to get past. Perhaps the work culture is not great as the staff seemed quite unhappy to be there.
The good news is we headed back to our first resort -and continued our beautiful Fijian holiday in a place that made us feel like family.

We know this may not be everyone’s experience at Likuri but I was prompted to leave a review and hopefully it can be taken constructively to help them improve.

Loved it and the staffis what made it so special for me. They truly treat you like family there. While they brought it on for the day tour people with big performances, hanging out with them during slower downtimes are some of my favourite memories.

The island is a gorgeous little place to get away from the hustle (literally no TVs etc), learn a bit about Fijian culture and really retreat into the slowness and wonders of nature. Highly recommend.

The boat transfer runs on Fiji time so expect delays. There is a cost for the transfer cost us $300 FJD for two adults and two kids return even though there is no way else to get to your accommodation I feel it should be included in your accommodation. The food was good coffee tea available all the time. The Fijian lovo on Saturday night was amazing. The fire dance and performance was one of the best I have seen. It was raining and really cold for them but they still went ahead with the performance. We had a beach Hutt and was amazing. Overall a great experience for the kids as well.

We stayed three nights and had three full days as we didn’t want to leave and got the last possible boat home.

It’s a super wee island and I cannot rate the staff highly enough. There was a blackboard up with each day’s activities, if you wanted to do them, which were tied to the day visitors.

It was very busy two of nights we were there with extras over for lovo and entertainment (fire dancing, knife dancing etc) and the shows were amazing.

I’m not sure I’d suggest people stay longer but it’s definitely recommended for an accessible Island holiday.

Great place, only gets loud when the day-trippers arrive for the performances, other than that you feel like the place is yours. Having great Fijian fire dancing / knife dancing steps from our cabin almost every night during our 8-day stay never got old . The staff are the best, kids are treated like royalty here, friendliest locals/staff I’ve ever met in my travels. The village visit is a must.

You can’t beat being on an Island !
Check the cost of your transfers, and budget them in. Great beds we all slept really well. This is a no fuss family island that has lots of activities put on by the staff for you to voluntary attend or just lounge in the sun all day. Bring your own beach towel.
Food was simple buffet, but always enough.
We took chips and cookies for snacks.
The entertainment was amazing and on every night ! The staff work a long day to help you enjoy your stay, and the happiest, politest people you will meet.

What an amazing place!!! If you are looking to get away from busy hectic daily life, this is the place, look no further! The island life it is just so relaxing, stress free and a very good time away from what modern busy living means! We spent one week on the island and basically 'recharge' our batteries for what's coming after vacation:). The local people on Likuri Island are awesome, very nice and helpful. The island shows (probably the best in Fiji!) and activities it will make you forgot that you're still on a small island. No roads, no cars, no tv, no shoes and...no worries! We'll definitely visit again.

A super cute island with fantastic staff! Easy to get to from the mainland, super organised and they run on time. The evening Fijian Cultural Show was incredible! We loved the island and cute little huts and back to basic island life. Bon fires on the beach, music, nature walks, Fijian hungi and loads more! 2-3 nights is long enough on this island.

Incredible local staff and cultural experience. Some of the facilities are really run down. Drinking water should be complimentary. Only cold showers. Transfer is inflexible and too expensive. No day trips were possible for 6 night stay. Lots of extra charges. Island is stunning.

We had a great time at Likuri island. Manager Mila was amazing! We loved the food however, please add food tags so guests know what they are having! Tuesday (the cat) and Tais (the dog) WE MISS YOU BOTH! Likuri is a very clean island-the water is so warm. My husband enjoyed everyday at the beach! A big thank you to all the employees at Likuri. The fire dance was just amazing…..Love from TC and Sabina!

The property was very well maintained , we stayed int he beachfront bungalow and it was very clean and comfortable, the staff were always helpful and around when you needed anything, the food was good as was the entertainment, they pretty much catered to whatever their guests needed, would definitely recommend to stay for a few days, could use a few fans around the deck and patio area but not a huge issue thanks to all the staff for making this an enjoyable time

Very basic accommodations, but I guess thats reflected in the price. However, we did find cockroaches in the bed one afternoon and there was a bad sewer smell. upon further investigation there was a leaky sewer pipe at the rear of the hut. No water sports other than a kayak. We were told the sail boat had a broken sail. We checked out early.

Very good overall. Great experience. Went for two nights. Landed late at night and was late for our boat pick up and had problems trying to find a way to communicate with them we were at the launch. The number Expedia provides is not the number to get a hold of them.
Had more problems with getting our other son picked up the following day- again Communication issues. The food was only average- at best but the location was great and the dance at night was great. Would highly recommend. Our family rated the overall experience as an 8-8.5/10.

Well waiting Area needs to be improved heading to the island. If they can have a bar or snack place there. Boat ride was amazing. Island was very nice. Only issue that I seen was, Sea weed floating on the beach and makes swimming a challenge . One of the best Island dance I seen. Crew knows how to entertain the Guest. Boat ride should be complimentary. Food was amazing as well.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It felt like an authentic stay in a Fijian village but with nice beds, AC and running water. The staff was super nice and after a few days here, you felt like part of the family. My daughter thought it felt like summer camp- we ate on picnic tables, they serve 3 meals a day and everyone eats together, they have activities during the day like snorkeling and basket weaving. We sat around the campfire and sang songs. The night shows were super fun. My only complaint was how much they charged for the boat ride to the island. The days guests don’t get charged as much as the overnight guests. Also the room rate is really cheap but then they ask if you want to add meals. If you don’t add meals, there is nothing else to eat so you will starve. They should just include the meals as part of the stay. But the island was very beautiful and very relaxing. The view of the beach when you wake up is stunning! Not a fancy 5 star resort but a great Fijian experience.

This was a simple little heaven for us. We arrived on a Sunday night and was little worried however waking up the next day we wouldn't have changed our minds. During the day there are little activities you can do e.g. coconut demos, cooking demo, snorkelling etc but it was the pure simplicity and quiet that we loved.

Dining was great as there is not menu and there were no decisions - you ate what was prepared by beautiful people.
Accommodation - clean, simple. There are no room fridges but it was not missed. Beds were very comfy.

Every few nights there was a \"show\" with fire dancing, knife dancing and pure joy.

For us it was the people who work there. It felt like being with family. One shout out in particular were the guys who really took our 3 yr old boy under their wing and included him in everything. It was so special.

I cried on the boat as I left and I get emotional writing this now.

The island was pretty and we had a nice room. The room however had no wardrobe or chest of drawers which made storing clothes difficult.
The food from the expensive meal plan was terrible-very bland and unappealing.

Was our families third time here and was happy to see familiar staff members again after being closed for two years!
did notice water quality of sea had degraded considerably to the point where couldnt see the botto anymore from kayaks etc. Mud sendiment coming down from nearby river has really affected the surrounding marine environment which was its main selling point. Reef of course affected too, less fish.

The entertainment was fabulous! Night shows (Mon,Wed,Sat) were amazing. The Fijian staff was extremely nice and helpful. Wonderful people.
The Fijian Lovo dinner was great for the shows.
But for the guests staying multiple nights, the same food was served over and over and over again. You are required to pay $103 per day for lunch and dinner. But always a buffet with the same chicken and tough fish, potatoes, rice, salad, and a few other items. Never any dressing for the salad, not even oil and vinegar. Never tartar for the tough fish. Slight variations in the food like potatoes turned into potato salad, and some barbeque put on the chicken. The included breakfast was minimal with fruit, loaf bread, peanut butter and jelly, and an extra bread each morning. Two mornings there were pancakes, but no syrup. I talked to the manager on the 4th day of my 6 day stay about only being served chicken and fish since my arrival. She told me there was an additional charge of $59 for a different dinner. On my 6th and last night, they finally served something different.
Prior to my stay at Likuri, I had stayed 6 nights at Musket Cove, another island resort, with fabulous food with lots of options, and much cheaper than the $103 for a day.
My recommendation is to go to Likuri for the excellent entertainment, but stay no more than 2-3 nights until the food situation has much improved.
