The staff at the restaurant and bar were not that friendly .. and i think my drink was altered.
I called the.recétion 4 times and nobody answered and she was there. Luckely it was not an emergency or injury. I had no hot water for 2 hours. Nobody told me to turn all the switches at on.i paid 350$ canadian cause i needed the peace, i expected more

Lovely hotel

The hotel is lovely, with spacious rooms, located on a golf course with lovely greenery and walks around it. Breakfast is great and the bistro had good options too. Staff are friendly and helpful. I especially liked the water refill stations dotted around. The only thing I would say is I was staying for two weeks and I thought the house keeping could have been a little better. My sheets weren’t changed over the whole period, the sides weren’t wiped down, on some days my glasses and mugs were just left where I’d had them the day before and weren’t refreshed. Otherwise excellent stay.

Overall it looked like the property could do with a make over. The room was spacious, but shower / bath looked like it could do with some maintenance. There was no airflow and the room was quite warm and stuffy in the night.

The hotel grounds are beautifully kept, and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel interior and room are very nice, but the bathroom is dated, and the shower tenpature was difficult to adjust. There is no AC in the room, which normally would not be an issue, but we stayed during the heatwave, and the tiny fan provided was not enough to cool the room down during the day.

Room was too hot. No air conditioning. Cold tap ran hot water sometimes. Bed lumpy and held up by lumps of wood! Expect much better from a resort of this price. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was only ok. Not a lot of choices. Wasn’t asked if I had been there before so didn’t know they could make cappuccino coffees until 2nd day. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff though.

The outstanding Moyvalley!

This place was excellent on all fronts. I have just returned from a wedding there. The hotel was absolutely immaculate and the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The wedding staff were truely amazing in ensuring the day flowed into the early hours. 10/10 to the wedding manager and his staff. I must also give a special thank you to all of the hotel waitresses, who really went out of their way to look after us, especially the wonderful Jer. Thank you Moyvalley and will hopefully return one day.

We only stayed for one night myself and 2 kids but it was a beautiful hotel and very comfortable we had 3 single bed's but i did ask for double and single. But they were veey comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and all in all so up to date and modern. Breakfast was great and staff were so amazing with kids and we had an issue with vending machine and one of your very kind staff went and got my child something else he was very nice and they were so friendly would highly recommend hotel.

Very nice hotel, we stayed a few times in the past. Noticed the a/c has been decommissioned which made the temperature in the rooms almost unbearably hot. There was a small fan in the room which could easily be upgraded to a large one Folks, but much needed on these warm summer nights.

Despite this we'll have no problem returning to Moy Valley. You won't get better service (staff were ace including James in the bar, Chris at reception and the ladies at breakfast) or food in any 4 star hotel I've ever visited in Ireland. The staff and the service is the best asset here!

Nothing we had a terrible experience. Witnessed violent drunken behaviour outside our door. Garda called. We have an 8 year old little boy witness this disturbance at this hotel. Our bank holiday weekend away was spent trying to catch up on lost sleep and served poor poor food as a way of apologising for the in rest in the early hours of the morning. Do not recommend this hotel.

Was very nice overall, although we did book a room that said it comes with resort views and we only had a view of the road. Also, the taps in the bathroom were v loose and need tightening as they’re hard to use.
Room was lovely otherwise; nice big king size bed and comfortable mattress. Enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I both said this was the best service we have experienced in all our years of staying in hotels. From the gentleman at check in, to dinner, to breakfast and check out. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Lovely hotel in a beautiful location and not far from Dublin. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back.

Everything looks beautiful, but it’s not very clean in the rooms. The worst part of it was our mattresses, they were extremely old and rock hard. We’ve never slept on anything like that EVER. We all woke up aching and bruised, even our teenage daughters.

Went down for breakfast at 9am and half of the breakfast hot trays were empty and those that had food were freezing cold, I was starving and this wrecked my day and paid good money for this, staff were fine but cook needs to be trained to keep food hot and stocked!! , I'll NEVER return to this hotel, and would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
