Hotel is lovely grounds amazing but the bedrooms have no air conditioning the room was extremely hot and the window only opens slightly so couldn’t get any air asked for a fan which we did get but was really small and made no difference at all we got no sleep at all so we would only go back if they had Aircon it was like being in a sauna
Christine
From the very beginning, before we even arrived at the hotel, it was clear the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and grounds are immaculate and the countryside setting is stunning. The walks around the grounds are so peaceful. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks while staying there and couldn't find fault with anything. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, we even got to have a look around 10 bedroom Balyna House which can be rented out with its own bar and butler and a cool looking Cellar bar too.It is beautiful, and looks like the perfect setting for a wedding. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and really appreciated the extra touches of chocolates in our room and a dessert sent down to us after lunch. The water station in the hallway not far from our bedroom was so handy to refill our bottle with fresh, cold water whenever we needed. We definitely plan to stay there again.
Martin

Clean room and modern hotel, for such amazing grounds there's a lack of toiletries in bedrooms and of dinner choices in the bar/restaurant.
Elaine Connor
Breakfast was good, reception girls were polite & helpful.
James
Located close to the motorway but set on beautiful quiet grounds with great walks around the edge of the golf course.
Angela
Breakfast was very disappointing with many items not available.

The staff at the restaurant and bar were not that friendly .. and i think my drink was altered.
I called the.recétion 4 times and nobody answered and she was there. Luckely it was not an emergency or injury. I had no hot water for 2 hours. Nobody told me to turn all the switches at on.i paid 350$ canadian cause i needed the peace, i expected more

Excellent breakfast however the room had a constant squeaking sound every 3 minutes for 5 seconds from the shower hot water tap. All night?
Nadine
Lovely hotel
The hotel is lovely, with spacious rooms, located on a golf course with lovely greenery and walks around it. Breakfast is great and the bistro had good options too. Staff are friendly and helpful. I especially liked the water refill stations dotted around. The only thing I would say is I was staying for two weeks and I thought the house keeping could have been a little better. My sheets weren’t changed over the whole period, the sides weren’t wiped down, on some days my glasses and mugs were just left where I’d had them the day before and weren’t refreshed. Otherwise excellent stay.

Excellent
Exceptional service. Loved it. Great resort.
Jack
Overall it looked like the property could do with a make over. The room was spacious, but shower / bath looked like it could do with some maintenance. There was no airflow and the room was quite warm and stuffy in the night.
The staff were excellent and very helpful
The staff were excellent and very helpful
Jennifer
The hotel grounds are beautifully kept, and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel interior and room are very nice, but the bathroom is dated, and the shower tenpature was difficult to adjust. There is no AC in the room, which normally would not be an issue, but we stayed during the heatwave, and the tiny fan provided was not enough to cool the room down during the day.
Janice
Just ok.
Room was too hot. No air conditioning. Cold tap ran hot water sometimes. Bed lumpy and held up by lumps of wood! Expect much better from a resort of this price. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was only ok. Not a lot of choices. Wasn’t asked if I had been there before so didn’t know they could make cappuccino coffees until 2nd day. Beautiful grounds and friendly staff though.

The outstanding Moyvalley!
This place was excellent on all fronts. I have just returned from a wedding there. The hotel was absolutely immaculate and the staff were superb. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The wedding staff were truely amazing in ensuring the day flowed into the early hours. 10/10 to the wedding manager and his staff. I must also give a special thank you to all of the hotel waitresses, who really went out of their way to look after us, especially the wonderful Jer. Thank you Moyvalley and will hopefully return one day.

Great stay overall. The breakfast wasn't very good. And the room was really really bright at night with a street light outside and people pulling in and out of parking.
Paul
Perfect quiet location
Nice room, friendly staff, excellent private location.
Denise
Staff were all so friendly
Frank
Two beds were put together to make it seem like a king bed. Since they weren’t perfectly lined up it was somewhat uncomfortable sleeping in.
Jason
Wonderful staff and service. Very accomodating and pleasant. Very happy with my stay here and would stay again.

Amazing Staff and beautiful hotel
We only stayed for one night myself and 2 kids but it was a beautiful hotel and very comfortable we had 3 single bed's but i did ask for double and single. But they were veey comfortable. Bathroom was spotless and all in all so up to date and modern. Breakfast was great and staff were so amazing with kids and we had an issue with vending machine and one of your very kind staff went and got my child something else he was very nice and they were so friendly would highly recommend hotel.

struggling for staff
The breakfast service was poor, and couldn't get coffee for some guests at 11am. Struggling for good staff I suspect.

Definitely coming back again :-)
Very nice hotel, we stayed a few times in the past. Noticed the a/c has been decommissioned which made the temperature in the rooms almost unbearably hot. There was a small fan in the room which could easily be upgraded to a large one Folks, but much needed on these warm summer nights.
Despite this we'll have no problem returning to Moy Valley. You won't get better service (staff were ace including James in the bar, Chris at reception and the ladies at breakfast) or food in any 4 star hotel I've ever visited in Ireland. The staff and the service is the best asset here!

Nothing we had a terrible experience. Witnessed violent drunken behaviour outside our door. Garda called. We have an 8 year old little boy witness this disturbance at this hotel. Our bank holiday weekend away was spent trying to catch up on lost sleep and served poor poor food as a way of apologising for the in rest in the early hours of the morning. Do not recommend this hotel.
Eva
Was very nice overall, although we did book a room that said it comes with resort views and we only had a view of the road. Also, the taps in the bathroom were v loose and need tightening as they’re hard to use.
Room was lovely otherwise; nice big king size bed and comfortable mattress. Enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Service
My husband and I both said this was the best service we have experienced in all our years of staying in hotels. From the gentleman at check in, to dinner, to breakfast and check out. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Lovely hotel in a beautiful location and not far from Dublin. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back.

Everything looks beautiful, but it’s not very clean in the rooms. The worst part of it was our mattresses, they were extremely old and rock hard. We’ve never slept on anything like that EVER. We all woke up aching and bruised, even our teenage daughters.

Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Poor hint

Beautiful well kept grounds and hotel interior very well presented.
Amy
superb stay
Overnight stay with a young child. We had emailed several times ahead of our visit to see what was available to entertain our 4 year old. The service and staff were beyond helpful. And on arrival we’re equally as helpful in person. We could not fault the service.

Went down for breakfast at 9am and half of the breakfast hot trays were empty and those that had food were freezing cold, I was starving and this wrecked my day and paid good money for this, staff were fine but cook needs to be trained to keep food hot and stocked!! , I'll NEVER return to this hotel, and would not recommend this hotel to anybody.
Denise
The room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner at the restaurant, great food and excellent service. We would stay here, again

Sleep deprived
Kept awake most of the night with drunk party guests in the corridor at 4 -5 am
Had to go out and speak to them. There was a wedding on that day. Could wedding party guests not be kept in a particular area of the hotel?

Great little park nearby for kids to play. The hotel was great once the AC started working. It needed fixing at the thermostat in the room and they sent somebody to repair it after 2 requests.
Mary
Was great except that it was warm... no air conditioning working
Sandra
Worth it!!
Fabulous stay!!

The place was clean, but it was noisy at night. The shower was also cold, the water never warmed up! Other than than, we enjoyed our stay.
Verified traveler
There is so much glass in the building it desperately needs air conditioning especially in the rooms.

Very comfy large bed in a great sized room, beautiful surroundings and lovely food - wish we'd had longer to enjoy it.
