Trim Castle Hotel
Room was clean but 'king bed' was two twins pushed together - mattresses needed to be flipped as they sloped to the outside. We didn't get clean towels (or clean glasses) for the room service even though we left the used towels on the tub. We had to request clean towels. The breakfast was unimpressive. The staff was all business... not the friendly interaction we were used to at all the other hotels we stayed at in Ireland. Location was good for the castle tour (recommend the guided tour). Best part were the dinners we had at the Stockhouse restaurant across the street. Exceptional food and friendly staff.

The hotel was nice and clean, we gound parking convenient, we ate at the StockHouse across the road which was very good. Breakfast was table service only, most other hotels did half table, half self serve which we enjoyed much more.

The property is well situated for an easy walk to town,the castle, and the church. Clean and nice balcony to view castle at night. Our room was good, but very warm with no cooling air conditioning, so we opened the window for some air, which didn't help much. Our room was in the back over the parking lot, and I was kept up from 11:00 till 2:00 with the sounds of people partying on Saturday night. The breakfast was delicious.

Booked a night at Trim Castle Hotel to return for a funeral. The room rate was already pretty high but the stay was necessary. Was not told at the time of booking or even on arrival / check-in that there was a wedding in the hotel. The fact that there was a wedding is not the issue but the rooms are clearly not sound proofed - between unruly children room and screaming (wildly) up and door the halls outside the bedrooms until the early hours (as late as 2am) and with pounding dance music (the techno variety not the old school wedding variety) vibrating the bedroom walls until after 2am...
It became a bit crazy after a while, so complaints were made but nothing was done beyond a comment to say, \"well, it's a wedding\". I get that but at least speak to the wedding group asking them to not let their kids run around the bedroom hallways or play in the lifts. At least have some form of volume control on the music. At least wrap it up at a reasonable hour.
On check out, I wasn't even asked \"how was your stay?\" or the minimum \"was everything okay for you?\" It was simply, \"Yeah you're all good\".
I had to complain but tried to do it in a non-NIMBY, understanding way - receptionist just shrugged their shoulders and said, \"Yeah, well you know how these things are...\" <- paraphrased to be fair.
The lack of a heads up, exuberant price, zero customer care or consideration during the night & the \"I couldn't care less\" attitude of staff on check out really turned me off staying here again

The Trim Castle Hotel was situated right in the downtown area (a small town) of Trim. We were able to walk to dinner and also to Aldi. The town is charming. The room was quite large, seemed to have been recently renovated, and room 114 had AC (which, according to past reviews, many did not). Beds were VERY comfortable.. The bathroom was immaculate, but it had a high tub, which might be difficult to step into if you have mobility issues. We had to leave at 6 am to drive to the Dublin airport, and the staff fixed us some simple to-go boxed breakfasts. We would stay here again if ever in the area!

Stayed 1 night for business in an Exec room number 209. The room is large and nice, it's nothing special and starting to show it's age a little, you can tell it's an accountant designed room rather than an aesthetic one, but it's more than fine, no power points by the bed is very bad though.
The hotel itself is all perfectly acceptable, clean but some fixtures and fittings showing their age with cracked tiles in the lobby.
Staff were all ok, nothing out of the ordinary, just doing their jobs.
The best thing, by far, was the breakfast - it was the best hotel breakfast I've had all year.

We had booked two nights at Trim Castle Hotel. There was an incident on the first evening which was very upsetting. We met with the manager Lucas the following morning who was extremely concerned and apologetic. In a matter of minutes he made us feel comfortable and handled the situation well. Andrew, Heather and Eve took care of us wonderfully in the restaurant. The staff serving in the breakfast room were also great. The view of the castle from the hotel in the evening with the lights is spectacular. Thank you Lucas!

The walls are thin, so I recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

My wife and I had a fantastic time. We visited for my Cousins Wedding it was the perfect place. If I could give a bit of feed back it would be I wish we had Wash cloths in the Bathroom and a sheet on the bed, The comforter was great but I sleep hot and wish there was a thin sheet to sleep under. That is more of a me thing though. The staff was very good. I would definitely recommend people stay here in the future!

It was advertised that two restaurants should be open and serving dinner however only one was open and fully booked until 8:30pm. We were forced to look elsewhere. We had a great meal at a local Indian restaurant that was quite hospitable unlike the The Castle Hotel.

I stayed with my partner here in one of the double rooms. The hotel is nicely decorated and staff were really friendly and attentive.
The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. Note there’s no fridge in the double rooms if you plan to bring any drinks/food with you. The room was on the third floor where there’s also a lovely seated terrace overlooking the castle.
We didn’t eat at the hotel except for breakfast just because we wanted to explore the area a bit. The included breakfast was at Jules restaurant and had lots of options - I can recommend the pancakes. They included toast and croissants too.
It’s known for hosting wedding parties so as expected there was music from the top floor till quite late but wasn’t any bother to us personally.
If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway this is a must.

Second time at this hotel. Love the location and ability to walk around Trim. Great restaurant across the street we like to go to. Room was very nice but bathroom was not designed well and shower a bit difficult to use. Breakfast was ok. Staff was great and very respond to a minor problem we had. It’s a big wedding venue. We stayed in the large 3rd floor suite. It was quite comfortable, and the view of Trim Castle was lovely. Food in the restaurants there was average, but wait staff were well below par and generally couldn't discuss most items on the menu (and hadn't even tasted most of the menu items). Booked this hotel because it advertised a shuttle to/from the airport, only to discover later the service has been cancelled. Expect 100-pound taxi fares between the hotel and Dublin airport.

The Trim Castle Hotel proved to be a wonderful place to spend our final night in Ireland. It was close enough to Dublin Airport that our morning commute was simple and efficient. The hotel's proximity to Trim Castle made for a leisurely walk through a historically significant landmark and the local pubs provided dining and live music options so we were well fed and entertained on our last evening of a dream vacation.

The main lobby area is nice however the rooms are quite dated. We reserved a king with sofabed and unfortunately the sofabed was barely usable (flimsy mattress, bed wouldn’t stay flat) and we were moved to a new room on our request. Both of the rooms we saw had an overpowering perfumed air freshener which just made the room seem even more gross. The hotel is fine for one night as a pit stop to or from Dublin airport but I wouldn’t stay longer.

Absolutely wonderful experience! Beautiful spacious hotel with comfortable A+ rooms. Very courteous and friendly staff. Our dinner last night at Bailey was delicious with a wonderful wait staff and host. Breakfast this morning at Jules was \"over the top\" - great food, friendly and attentive service staff, and a good place to start the day. We would stay there again. Thanks!
