We had a few issues with the room- no hot water in the morning, unable to turn off one of bedside lights other than by taking out the bulb, faulty coffee machine. However what was much more important to us was the prompt and efficient way in which the manager dealt with our problems. Five stars for that!

I would like to make a complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel.

Upon arrival, I asked a member of staff what time parking enforcement on the road outside began, as I was concerned about my car being clamped. I was told that clamping started at 9:00 a.m. However, at no point was I informed that there was no underground or alternative hotel parking available. This information would have been very helpful when planning my stay.

I was also disappointed with the room itself. The room was very small and, despite the warm weather, there was no air conditioning available. This made the room uncomfortable during my stay.

In addition, I ordered room service and was only informed about the €5 room service charge after placing my order. I believe this charge should have been clearly communicated before the order was taken.

There were also a number of issues with my food and drink order. When my order arrived, butter was missing. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it added to an already disappointing experience. Later, I requested ice but was given water instead. My partner then went down to collect ice personally, believing this would be the quickest way to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the service remained confusing and inconsistent.

Overall, I found the room clean and had no issues with the cleanliness of the hotel. However, the lack of communication regarding parking, the uncomfortable room conditions, the unexpected room service charge, and the repeated

It was the loudest place we ever stayed. They should have notified us that they had a disco night and a karaoke night that lasted until midnight. We were told by the front desk that it would last until 10 , we called the front desk at 10:10 and she said it would go until 11 . Then I went down at 11:10 and was told it would go until 12!!! After that there were people yelling in the street .

We enjoyed our family stay at the Newgrange Hotel. The location in Navan was excellent. I arrived well before check-in and they were very accommodating, holding my luggage for me. The staff was very polite, kind and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent - there were many options, eggs (real ones), ham, beans, cereal, bread/toast, juice, fruit and even some gluten free options. The parking was very convenient- free and connected to the hotel. The room and facilities was very clean, the only very very small minor criticism was that the bathroom showed a little wear. But that is not really worth considering another place over. I would gladly stay here again.

Gem in County Meath. Hotel is a return to the past with woodcarvings, lounge, bar and restaurant. Staff is excellent. Would advise drive in guests the underground parking for hotel is prior to Newgrange on a one way street. If you miss the turn on the right side it is awkward to get to.

Would have preferred a kettle to a coffee machine (as machine was noisy and the tea had a coffee taste, as if filter not cleaned.)
Some water in the room would have been a nice touch also.

Check-in staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the breakfast staff were very rude, unhelpful and abrupt.

The breakfast experience itself was a big disappointment. The selection of cold options was very limited- cereal and fruit. The hot food was clearly sitting there for a long time (fried eggs were cold and hard). The brown bread was rock hard and of poor quality.

The cereal bowls were dirty.

Breakfast was served from 7: 00am until 10 am, but at 9:30am staff were not refilling items e.g. water jug was not refilled and at 10: 01 am staff started clearing away juice, milk etc and tidying up the stations. No option to refill tea.

We approached one staff member with a question about the food (as the hot food was not self-service and there was nobody at the counter to serve it), and she replied 'can't you see I'm busy- I'm clearing up here'.

As a solo traveller commuting by bus I stayed one night stay in Newgrange hotel . I loved my room, the fact that my window could open my window outwards. I had ablovely breakfast to.include toast fruit small fry/ tea as requested and a small danish. I found staff attentive in the restaurant, morning and evening. The hotel public toilets were spotless.

I booked this hotel as it was so convenient to the hospital where my husband was undegiing surgery. The hotel itself was very homely, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was brilliant. It is just a short stroll to the town centre and local amenities. I would recommend the newgrange hotel to anyone visiting Navan.

Stayed in the Newgrange Hotel for two nights 13th and 14th of February to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a smile that gave a thousand welcomes.
From booking in at reception, to the bar staff, to the cleaning staff, to the night porter (which we had great banter after returning after a great night in Navan) , to the breakfast on both mornings I do not have anything bad to say. All the staff were excellent, very polite and extremely helpful.
We had a few drinks in the bar both nights and found the service quick and at a high standard. On friday evening we decided to eat at Rowley's Bar and I must say the food was exceptional. I ate a smash burger and my wife had the chicken stack, complimented with a portion of delicious onion rings. The food was such good value for money and so reseasonably priced. Would highly recommend the food from the bar.
Even down to the small things like the hair dryer not working I rang reception and we had a new one in minutes, even when checking out on Sunday morning the receptionist was so pleasant and make us feel like a valued customer.
Overall excellent staff, excellent food, and a very clean room which had all you need in a hotel room.

Chilly room next to a noisy road and above a noisy hall. Being overcharged for food and drinks, menu prices did not match receipt prices and food was only okay. Music was incredibly loud which made it very difficult to have a conversation. Carpark spaces were unbelievably tight.
The only good things I could say were that the interior decor was lovely and the bed was comfy, some staff members were nice.

We visited the Newgrange while on a work trip but decided to book an extra night as it was also our anniversary. I checked before arriving that there was somewhere to park my work van. When I arrived we realised that there was no way I was going to fit the van into their tight underground car park despite inquiring, I had to find street parking in a residential area and walk for 20 minutes with all our bags to the hotel. Which wasn’t ideal.

When we checked in I told them it was for our anniversary (I booked the nicest room available online) but mentioned it again at check in should an upgrade be available. They commented that the hotel wasn’t full and that was the best room available, yet they put us in a room right above the reception door and bar. Probably the loudest room in the hotel. The room was like a sauna despite it snowing outside we had to open the windows the entire night as we were told the heating was broken and not cooling down. Probably the worst nights sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. I had to keep going outside to cool down because it was uncomfortably warm.
Spoke to the manager the next morning after breakfast (which was absolutely disgusting) and within seconds offered us an upgrade to a room at the back of the hotel. I didn’t have high hopes as all I could smell was smoke, but the room was lovely. I assumed we would be refunded for the first night but when checking out I was told we got the upgrade instead which wasn’t communicated to us.

Breakfast only very basic. Very poor vegetarian option. Only beans and hash browns. No tomatoes or mushrooms. No brown bread. Only poor quality sliced pan for toast. We attended breakfast at 10am on Saturday morning. Last breakfast 10:30 but very little choice left. Had to get our own delph and cutlery. No one offered tea or coffee. Very poor service. Dinner in bar was very nice and good service.

We had the misfortune of staying in room 512. We arrived at around 8 pm. When we got to the room. There was an awful musty smell. There was a used milk carton on the dresser and a suspicious white stain on the navy blue bedsheet. The room was freezing after one hour. I asked at reception if there was a problem with heating the receptionist informed me that she would turn the heat on in the room?? A hassle I really didn’t need at that time of night after a long journey. Breakfast was okay. I did enjoy a cappuccino served by one of the hard-working breakfast stuff. But based on my stay and influenced by the room, I probably wouldn’t return or recommend.
