Great property with helpful staff and a nice restaurant
Callum
Excellent food! Way above what's expected for 3 stars. Comfy beds and lots watch on TV. Well stocked and reasonably priced bar. Staff were all lovely and happy to help. Great breakfast and they have a wicked carvery every day!
Beverly
Wonderful stay!
David
Outside the room window was an air conditioning unit, or something similar, that made a 24/7 noise that would remind you of a tumble dryer constantly running. When reported to staff, they looked amazed that someone would have the audacity to complain about their hotel and nothing was done.
First night , the lift broke down, breakfast...NO brown sauce available. Might seem trivial re. sauce, however, small things add up.
Still awaiting a reply from hotel, as I recieved an email from them to review my stay.

Castle Arch was ready for our check in at a earlier time which we found helpful as we were early from our flight making it possible to drop off our luggage to site see.
Jeff
Food was excellent. No issues. Would go again close to downtown as well to walk around
Patricia

All was top notch. We would definitely recommend to others.

Overall this hotel was fine. There were questionable stains on the chair in our room and the shower couldn’t maintain temperature. Staff were very helpful and the restaurant was delicious.
Karen
older property but very pleasant. Great location.
patrice
Lovely hotel , bed comfortable , food was delicious and we had a walk in shower which was perfect . Room very spacious for 3 people , perfect for family’s
John
The accommodation was really nice and decent value in the circumstances. The breakfast was good but a little bit limited. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room was serviced daily to a high standard. The only slight downside is that the hotel has functions up until midnight on the weekend nights we were there. The loud music carried into our room despite this being a quieter room as requested. Not a problem if you don't retire to bed early and in fairness the music does stop bang on midnight. A consideration if you like earlier nights. Overall very nice for 3 nights stay, would recommend and stay again.
tina

Room not ready at 3pm. It was 3.50pm before we got room after a long journey. Bed was hard. Room very noisy due to function downstairs. Breakfast not great. Considering price paid I expected better from hotel.

I spoke with duty manager on Sunday before leaving, with the promise that the general manager would phone and/or email. I wanted to give the hotel a fair amount of time to fulfill that side of the agreement.
I want this to be fair… but the issues on Saturday night far outweigh the positives.
Positives:
The hotel room was comfortable. While the bathroom could do with an upgrade the shower was excellent. Check-in was smooth. I had breakfast the first morning and it was cooked to order (not buffet) with excellent ingredients.
ISSUES:
Impossible to Sleep (avoid at all costs at the weekend)
I’ve waited a couple of days to give the general manager time to call and discuss this stay so it’s time to post my honest review (it’s a complaint letter)!
I booked this hotel specifically for its advertised \"quiet and serene\" environment, needing proper rest (I was lecturing all weekend). Unfortunately, my three-night stay was a masterclass in failed hospitality and broken promises, defined by a complete lack of proactive care and transparency.
Their disclaimer about making \"every effort\" to minimise impact felt like a cruel joke. No meaningful effort was made. I was trapped, paying for a room that was unfit for purpose on the most expensive night. I had to favour an extra half hour in bed so had no time to eat the breakfast I had paid for on Sunday!
The management's handling was the true failure. There was no prior warning, other than an email to my spam. Receptionist didn’t mention

DO NOT STAY HERE on the weekends or during any special event. The noise is so disturbing and it will last until 230am inside, and yes, outside the hotel. If they tell you, “they will do their best to accommodate”, don’t believe it. They can’t as you can’t get far enough away from the noise of the DJ, the music, the parties, and so on. In all of my years of traveling, I have never experienced anything like this. The owners obviously do not care about the actual guests of the hotel. We were so looking forward to our stay, and it was terrible. Find another place to stay, and then relish in the beauty of Ireland and its’ wonderful people. Btw, they did discount our stay, but that was not the point. My goodness, such a disservice to the guests.
Robert
Good location. A couple of block walk to the Castle and the main street of Trim. Parking was onsite. The choices for the included breakfast were very good. Staff was friendly.
Janice
A nice, quiet stay in a pleasant, small town with lovely walks along the riverl.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and everything was clean. Beds were very comfortable.
Joanne
We were very kindly upgraded to the Bridal Suite as it was our 30 year anniversary. We also received a card and balloons in the room. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We were close to nearby restaurants & bars. Trim is such a beautiful place which we will certainly return to. And we will, of course, stay in the Castle Arch Hotel again ❤️
Sean
Room was awesome, got a free upgrade! facilities were clean, breakfast was great!

Incredible. Beautiful place, easy to access with the bus. Good food. Nice and quiet nights.
Mary
Nice place , roomy accommodation great shower
Ross
We had a faultless overnight stay, helpful staff in a beautiful large well appointed room
Jill
Property is old and could use some updates. We stayed there to attend a wedding nearby. It was fine, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We were warned ahead of time that an event would be held at the hotel with music until 2am. That was true and no way to tune it out but there’s not many other options in a small town. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Patricia
Charming older hotel. Good breakfast. Beds were fine.
Geraldine
Beautiful room very modern and clean.

When i'm in the area again, i'm staying at the castle arch hotel
John
This is a really good hotel nicely located close to town. The staff are wonderful and the hotel is beautifully presented. Good, spacious and clean rooms which are quiet due to the property being set back from the road. Lovely complementary breakfast and I confidently recommend.
Peter
Nice hotel at the edge of town. Very affordable and comes with a free generous breakfast, lots of free parking, and free wifi. The condition of our room and the building was a bit subpar in places, but still a bargain. Staff was very friendly, and Trim is a nice alternative to staying in Dublin before going to the airport after already seeing Dublin.
Bonnie
Great choice for Trim.
This was a great affordable place to stay that was within walking distance to the castle and town. On site restaurant and bar was great and some outdoor seating.
Richard
Excellent stay
Spotlessly clean, friendly staff and food was of a very good standard and value for money. I will use this hotel again.
Elizabeth
Outdated but convenient
In a great area of Trim but the hotel is outdated. Desperately needs a refresh
Mack
The room was a little dated, but would definitely be a good place to stay, especially if you wanted to stay in Trim.
Erin
We needed to check in late. I contacted property a week in advance. There was no response and we ended up having to get a room last minute somewhere else.
Rebecca
THis was hands down the best place to stay on our trip of 7 days! We were very impressed. The room was large and super clean, modern and really comfortable beds. The staff was lovely. Hotel was amazing. The breakfast was so excellent. We will be staying here again!
Paul
Last minute requirement and it was a nuce friendly place to stay. Everyone courteous and helpful

Nice stay
The hotel room is a bit dated. It is clean and comfortable. The restaurant service and food was excellent.
joachim
Location, close to everything you want to see in town.
Peter
Rooms and surrounds of hotel need updating. We were in a room at the back of the hotel and there is some noise from the staff doing things outside, maybe kitchens. The bathrooms need some updating.
Kay
Nice hotel, older but kept up well. Food was great! Small parking lot. Staff were awesome.
John
We have stayed there before, always good!
Jeff
No air conditioning and it was unseasonably hot for May. Could only open our window a little and it opened near a kitchen vent, so not very helpful.
Otherwise, a lovely stay. Great restaurant and short walk to the castle and to downtown.

LeighAnn
Nice hotel. Room was clean and the beds were nice. Our room had a twin and a full. It had a great view of Trim Castle. It was within walking distance to the castle as well.
Kerri
Very convenient, feels historic. Comfortable and accommodating. Everything was very clean and functional, a little worn in places. But I thought it added to the charm. Would highly recommend and would stay there again. Can’t say enough about the town! I want to live there permanently!
pat
Great day lovely staff comfortable room and good food
Paula
Excellent stay at castle arch. Hotel is quite dated but room was clean, bed very comfortable and shower great pressure. Breakfast was ok but a bit of a shambles, had to ask for cutlery, milk and table wasn’t wiped other than that breakfast was enjoyable. Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Short walk into town, beautiful views of the Castle. A must see place,we will definitely be back.
Carmel
Great place to stay food is great and the staff are very very friendly and very helpful beds were very comfortable would definitely stay again

Motorcycle trip
Lovely hotel with friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable breakfast included which excellent for the price, bar and dining rooms are spacious and great seating area outside, have no hesitation recommending
Eric
As we expected for a property of its age. Perfectly comfortable and the staff were brilliant.
We had to come up with a new plan if one of us had to get up during the night. The bed is directly opposite the bathroom. As all switches are outside the bathroom, the light blinded the sleeping person instantly awake! :)

On their website it said that food could be ordered up until 8.30pm, i arrived at 8.15 and was told the kitchen was shut. They did however manage to get them to make me something, so im very grateful
Ann
Marks on room walls...panel in bathroom upside down....shower soap dispenser empty...rooms need upgrading and painting. Our room had a window with all frosted glass. Room 107 Not good value for money
Sean
Nice Hotel.
This was a present for my son and his partner. They had a very enjoyable stay therefore next time I visit Trim I would be happy to stay there.
Norman
The hotel was delightful. Clean and comfortable room. Evening meal (sirloin) was delicious, perfect med/well done. Breakfast was superb, best porridge I have ever tasted with added fruits. Great value.
Amanda

Emma
A lovely stay!
Olga
The location is good. The hotel has private carpark. The staff are friendly. Quick check in. The breakfast is very good. The room was clean. But the cutlery in the breakfast room was dirty 🙈.
Rita
Would have liked a safe in our room.
Karen
Easy to find, and convient to get to the airport for a morning flight. Nice standard hotel with a parking area in the front courtyard. The hotel has a great dinning room, bar and breakfast area. The breakfast was included in our room rate and was very nice. There was a buffet of juice, toast, and cereal items, and then additionally we ordered off a menu too. It was very convient to have a quick breakfast before our drive to the airport. Also we walked around the town and saw the castle lit up at night. Several good looking restaurants and bars are in walking distance. We tried the two take away pizza shops, which were OK.
Denise
A hotel with history, character and friendly staff. The town is easily walkable from The Castle Arch. Trim and it's castle are well worth a visit and the Castle Arch was the perfect place to stay.
Alexandra
The property is in need of refurbishment and good cleaning. The carpet in the lobby and on the staircase smells.
Lydia
Good location, friendly staff,good food.

Nice clean property with a good breakfast include. Easily walkable to town center.

Simple rooms. Hallways and carpeting were a little outdated. Rooms are clean. Great shower pressure. Very convenient location, walkable to all the parts of town. Breakfast was okay - could’ve had more variety in the buffet.
