Close to local amenities. Good walking distance to nearby sites and transport. Really clean throughout the apartment and they left all the essentials for us! We had a very comfortable stay.

It was a nice apartment, it had plenty of security. It was clean, fairly convenient. A microwave would have been a huge plus. Parking was a nightmare, I parked between the blue lines as instructed, I still got 2 parking tickets (56E) of course the garage would have been 25/night. So for 4 nights I guess I got off cheaper. But I still had to deal with 2 tickets that probably should have been 10e/ea.welcome to Italy.

Nice area with lots of surrounding options for dining, walking or shopping. Located right in the middle of the town. The hosts were cordial and communicative and also very welcoming. The property itself is different from the pictures advertised, not sure why, but the overall experience was satisfactory.

Struttura di pregio, stabile signorile. Posizione ideale per raggiungere il centro storico a piedi.
Appartamento spazioso e luminoso, dotato di tutti i comfort, cucina attrezzata, aria condizionata, balcone arredato. Letto confortevole. Pulizia impeccabile.
Omaggio di benvenuto: una bottiglia di vino del territorio che abbiamo apprezzato molto (grazie!).
Accoglienza calorosa e cordiale, check-in rapido durante il quale sono state fornite info utili su ristoranti e locali del centro.
Facilita di parcheggio nei pressi della struttura.

The residence was lovely, aircon in both bedrooms and living space was great for getting back from a hot day out. The appartment was very clean and they even let us drop our bags off in the appartment early before cleaning was finished which was very kind of them. The lady that let us in was lovely and we had a free bottle of wine on arrival. The appartment had a washing maching which was a life saver, the balcony was a nice size. The walk to the main tourist area past Bellini park is about 15 mins, which our kids (6 and 9) were fine with. Catania was a beautiful city and we had a fab time. An uber from the residence to the sandy beach was €20-€30. We would recommend staying here.

Bugs / cockroach in property - Poor service.

Bugs in property on first night. Bug spray provided by cleaner. Reception did not understand my issue, luckily cleaner was cleaning other rooms and helped me.

Further issue with cockroaches in property. Again reception could not understand my full issue and when they eventually did they advised cleaner had sorted it and removed cockroach. After returning to the property and been advised it was sorted. The cockroach was still there (the cockroach was 1.5 inches bug as well!) So they either lied to me or did not understand what i was asking them to confirm.

Further issue. Power tripped in property. I only had tv, washing machine on and the air con, receptions answer was Don't have the air con on whilst i am washing my clothes! (During a heatwave!) very poor response. Very disappointed.

Property looks nice on pictures but i would not recommend staying here and i would not stay here again.

Only saving grace was the lovely Marina who checked me in and helped with some of my issues.

The apartment was clean, all the facilities worked , including the air conditioning which as great. Unfortunately the lift broke down so carrying suitcases up / down four flights of marble staircase was a challenge . Also be aware there are three sets of codes to get into the apartment and to lock / unlock the door of the apartment took a day or so to master it. Luckily we got help from others in the apartment. Admittedly we were tired after our flight and there is alot of information to take in. Lesson, before agent leaves, make sure you go through the entey codes youself to make sure you can get in/out the building.

We were in the apartment, a family of 4. The apartment is very small in the photos, it looks big and spacious
The pictures are very misleading
The shower is really small, you can hardly move in it
We had a problem that there was no hot water to shower when we returned from a trip in the evening and it was only fixed the next evening
In our opinion, the service is very poor
They said we would receive compensation and did not give any compensation
Good things to say:
The kitchen is spacious and equipped
The living room is spacious
One spacious and comfortable bedroom
Their service is kind and nice people

A perfect apartment in a quiet area.

A perfect apartment with all kitchen equipment. A TV and comfortable sofa wit kitchen downstairs and bedroom with a bathroom upstairs. A very quiet and safe place to stay. We did love it.

Overall, I did not enjoy my stay fully. First night I had to take a cold shower. However the communication was great when I reported the issue (They told me I had to wait until the water warms up again). The water still would get cold after 5-8 minutes. The following nights I was attacked my gnats which caused severe itching and swelling on my arm. My arm swelled up so bad from allergic reaction and it was the size of a tennis ball. I am not sure where the bugs came from. Both me and fiance got bit up while we were sleeping during the night. We had to travel to Paris after leaving and get pharmacy help from this issue (Which messed up some of our travel experience) I am still healing from all the bug bites on my left arm currently. My fiance got bit on his hand and legs. Parking was a big issue, I had to drive around more than once to find parking becuase the parking provided was taken by other people in the area thorughout the day. Communication was great with this place was not what i thought it would be.

Great service, uncomfortable apartment

The staff were terrific, prompt, and helpful. I would stay at this brand again, but definitely not this particular location. The building itself was dark and sketchy. The elevator tiny and gave a jerky ride. We held our breath each time we used it. The apartment was interior facing with no window on the bedroom floor so it was dark. The shower was so small you have to squat to try and soap up your legs. It’s impossible to bend- pretty much a telephone booth. While it’s nicely renovated, this particular apartment in this building was not an enjoyable stay. I did go to the front desk at their more central location and that building seemed much more comfortable to stay in.

Amazing stay for couples. Especially those seeking a quiet more relaxing vacation. City had lots great food recommended by our host- and nice beaches. The apartment was absolutely stunning and in great condition. Clean and smoke free.

Great Experience at Ferrini!

Can't speak highly enough of the whole experience. In truth it doesn't look much from the outside but the apartments were clean, tidy and spacious -great for our needs. We were a group of 4 mature gentlemen who had an apartment each to ensure an undisturbed nights sleep!
Great welcome by Sabrina who helped our planning and suggesting restaurants and activities for our 3 day visit and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Ferrini had arranged the airport transfer and booked the 'Etna' experience trip.
All in all a great stay- maybe another day needed to do all the things we would like to have done.

nice and clean apartment

amazing apartment clean..
short 15 mins direct walk to the old town.,
one thing to note. the apartment is on the top floor of a building. and the lifts are very old.. Lift was damaged when we check in but the chap ( Dino) help us with our bag.
also you need to shut the lift doors after you exit. many inconsiderate guests did not shut the door and the lift stays stuck at the last floor landing.

Modern apartment- ideal base.

Well presented 2 bedroom apartment was spotlessly clean throughout. The narrow stairs within the narrow stairs within the apartment could pose a problem for anyone with mobility issues.
The apartments are well located offering easy access to all that Catania has to offer. It made an ideal home for our seven days in which we used Catania as a base to explore the area.
The sevice offered by the management was very attentive and friendly.

Lovely apartment and staff!

We had a lovely stay in Ferrini Home 150, the staff were very helpful and friendly and we had no problems at all with anything in the apartment. Central location so very easy to get around and only a bus ride away from the airport.

This was a great little apartment that was very clean, comfortable and great for the price. The apartment was only about a 15 minute walk from the city centre. My only complaint was that there is no sign indicating Ferrini Residence on the outside of the building and no onsite office to report to when we arrived. The building is locked behind a number of gates and we were unsure what to do to check in. Other than this the staff were lovely and very helpful.

Pros:
1.Good location: Close to Via Etnea, peaceful neighborhood, grocery stores and markets nearby.
2.Quiet: Black-out wooden window shutters; no super busy surrounding streets.
3.Clean
4.Modern and chic: Remodeled with new appliances and amenities; hardwood floors; stone tile shower
5.Safe: Three keypad entryways between the street and the apartment.
6.Bed: The Queen size bed was actually a Queen size mattress—not two twin mattresses pushed together!
7.Washing machine (no electric dryer)
8.Friendly administrative staff who are responsive via email
9.Very friendly housekeeping staff
10.Air conditioning!
11.Tons of storage in the master bedroom, but very little storage in the spare bedroom.
12.Good wifi
13.Kitchen is equipped with all of the basics
14.Spacious and comfortable
Cons:
1.No phone for local calls
2.Only one room key
3.Pillows are not very plush, but they did the job.
4.No clock in the room. Bring your own watch or clock.
Questionables:
1.Airport transfer service: We had issues with the airport transfer driver on both legs of the trip
2.Shower: For very large people, the shower would probably be a tight fit. It is smaller than 3’x3’.
3.Bedrooms are on the second floor. Some people may struggle with stairs, but it was fine for us.
Summary: We stayed in the two bedroom deluxe apartment. It was a great stay! Despite a few hiccups, we were very pleased and would stay again in the Ferrini Home Residence 150.

Nice apartments, centrally located

We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, who provided lots of helpful info about the apartment and the local area.
Pros: The apartment was very clean, and any requests were promptly addressed.
Cons: While centrally located in Catania, the surrounding neighborhood is not the cleanest...
And the 2 bedroom we had is on 2 levels connected by a narrow metal staircase - this can be somewhat awkward.

Perfect short holiday apartment

The flat is really lovely and well equipped.
It is around 15min walk to the town centre. But the location was just perfect. Close to the supermarket and not too noisy.
The bed for me was a bit uncomfortable. It was 2 single beds put together. But that did not cloud my stay at this amazing flat. I would definitely recommend and come back myself too..

Lovely apartment well located

We arrived much later than expected due to a flight cancellation. Hotel staff were very understanding and met us at 8.30pm. Hotel staff were on call for any of our needs, we only had to contact them once and they were very responsive. The apartment was clean, modern, well equipped and a bottle of wine was waiting for us on arrival. We had a wonderful time here, would definitely recommend and would like to return.

We stayed for 5 days at one of the Ferrini apartments. The photos in the description are a little misleading as the apartments might look very nice on the surface but are actually just pretty passable. The mattress was very soft which lead to some uncomfortable nights. The bathroom upstairs including the shower cabin is very small. The stairs that connect the living room and the bedroom are made out of some sort of metal which when used are very loud. The balcony (from which you can actually spot the Etna) cannot be used as the AC’s are outside next to some garbage cans. The TV is way too small and not up to date. No applications or anything. Just Italian television. The wifi signal was way too bad. Almost not useable. The natural lighting in the whole apartment is too dark. You can also here the next door neighbours as the walls are too thin, especially when the neighbours are using the stairs in their apartment. Overall just an okay experience. The apartment is located pretty close to the centre though.
