One of our favorite hotels! Very clean with very polite, friendly staff. We all got a special amenity bag, including our daughter, who got a special children's bag with kid slippers! They also provided us with a free sewing kit when we had a loose button on our trip. It was close to the subway, and we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed with my family of four in a single bedroom with two full beds in it. The room was not spacious the two beds almost cover the whole space there was barely a space to put my luggage. The location was good close to attractions. The room & bathroom was clean. The hotel has its own free parking but it is limited if you check in late you might not be able to find parking but there are paid parking around. Over all its a good hotel and I would recommend if you are on short trip.

Loved the proximity to family mart. Paxhinko parlour was hinestly quiet the entire time. Rooms are small, but for the price, it was actually a real bargain. Streaming on good sized TV was a plus and amenities to just grab and go waa great. Checkin was under 5 minutes and checkout under 30 seconds. Reallllly close to the subway, too which was incredibly valuable for day trips.

Good option for a reasonable price

Nice location not too far from the main centre - about 10/15 minutes by walk otherwise there are other options using public transportation.
The room size was in the average so don't expect too much space but still enough for a couple of nights stay in the city. I appreciated the possibility to select the option for the preferred cleaning to be more sustainable but, as others, I can confirm there was a weird smell coming from the bathroom when we enter the room that seems to reduce once the vent was on or after having a shower, so it was pretty much okay since we were away most of the time.

The room was smaller than what I expected. I also expected the property to be in the Namba neighborhood but we had to take a train to go the shopping center in Namba.

The location is good, just a few minutes' walk from the metro station. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, the cleanliness condition of the room is quite a problem. There is a lot of dust in the room, e.g. on the top of the TV cupboard, on the back panel of the bed, etc. And there is also a kind of musty smell in the room that is very unpleasant to the occupants.

Good Business Class Hotel

A pretty decent Business Hotel, located near Daikokucho station. It is just about 10 minutes walk from Namba Nankai station, which is very convenient to come from Kansai airport. Room size is just fine and it has a good sized toilet with bathtub. Breakfast buffet has good options and being a vegetarian, I was able to choose cereal, salad, bread rolls, etc.

Mr. Ueno was very rude. We go to Japan about three times a year. In the past we have never had a experience of such rudeness. Will not be returning to that hotel again. Very disappointing. It didn’t happen to me but I witnessed what he did to these other guests.

Hotel is very new as grand launch is on 21.06 2018. There is english speaking staff and very business like service, not forthcoming in advising touristy guests. Room is clean but small. The bed is firm and comfortable.
Hotel is 3 mins walk if you exit from Exit 1 of Daikokucho subway station. There is a wholesale market behind the hotel and has a very nice Unagi restaurant that opens 5am to 1pm. Many convenient stores nearby.

The hotel was nice, it’s not in the best location to go to places walking as you will be looking st a 15 minute walk. I would recommend APA hotel instead which we kept seeing when we were walking to wherever we wanted to go. The hotel does have a metro station close which is convenient.

The issue I had was with a hotel staff that would not assist me in booking a restaurant for the next leg of my trip which was to Tokyo. She said that at the time of the reservation I would not be her responsibility as I would no longer be checked into the hotel. I explained they only spoke Japanese and this was proving hard to communicate with them and she still said the same. I then had to communicate via email with my next hotel making the whole process even more difficult and time consuming.

The next day I wanted to look at the breakfast on offer to see if I wanted to pay for it and it was worth it. I essentially was asked to leave my the staff as when I said if I could take a look she didn’t understand me.

I believe that the hotel staff here should learn more English as it was incredibly hard to communicate with them and for them to be able to reply back. I feel a better level of costumer service could be achieved this way.

The hotel is about 10 mins walk from Namba train station or 5 mins from Daikokucho underground station. The room is small but typical from Japanese standard. The breakfast is good with lots of options. The room is well cleaned everyday with new towels replaced. There is free coffee and drinks available from 2-8pm in the restaurant.

After years of travel in JP this is by far worst hotel - AVOID

Dirty rooms - dust on furniture, extremely worn furniture and awful stench in the room

Internet - does not work! Takes min to load a simple website. Like being back in the 90s.... unacceptable for this price point and particularly in JP

Location terrible too - surrounded by dodgy people and dodgy gambling venues and what looks like other places of questionable standing - while only 15min walk from decent area (Namba) there is nothing decent to eat within 10min walk of the hotel

I stayed in 3 hotels during my stay in Japan and I have to say that Richmond was supposed to be the highest rated but it was the worse out of the 3. The room was really dusty and slightly tatty and old - the colouring of the furniture was coming off and the towels had stains on it. Im a slight clean freak and having stayrd at 2 other hotels in japan which were both very clean, richmond was slightly dissapointing especially when japan is known for being clean.
Besides that, the staff spoke decent english and were nice in general even though ive experienced better but richmond was good enough.

We stayed at 3 different hotels during our trip to Osaka and I can say this is the best out of the three. Nearest train station (Daikokucho) is one station away from Namba Station or you can choose to walk to Namba which is about 15 mins away. Hotel surrounding is quiet. Besides Family Mart, it is also nearby to two local supermarkets (about 300m away). Breakfast was great with reasonable choices though varieties did not change daily. Room is small which is a norm in Japan but it is still the hotel offering the biggest room among the three hotel we experienced. We would definitely recommend to our friends looking for accommodation in Osaka.

Great location and great value for money

Richmond Namba is about 10 min walk away from Namba station and 3 minutes walk away from Daikokucho station. The location is not crowded and there are many eateries (chain restaurant, izakaya(many), eating hall, bakeries, ethnic restaurant etc) nearby. The hotel is clean and the room size was more than sufficient for 2 people (Relative to other Japanese hotels). While the hotel can be crowded, the staff are patient and attend to us very friendly even we have a few extra request. Almost every staff that I encounter speak decent English. No doubt that, next trip to Osaka, this is a hotel to go to.

Before we arrived in the country we let the staff know that we were going to be on a delayed flight. They had responded promptly to let us know that is fine and will be looking out for us when we arrived.

Hotel was well situated. Only issue we had was finding the place on the first night, as we unfamiliar with the landmarks.

Staff were well presented and informative, able to answer our queries about the local attractions.

Its located between 2 train stations, Daikokucho and Osaka Namba Station (both within 10-15 mins walking distance). For Muslim travellers, you can make reservations for halal breakfast bento set meals. Otherwise, its within 10-15 minutes walking distance to halal eateries, such as vitty cucina and ramen honolu.

The hotel room also provides this mobile device service, called handy, where you can bring it with you when you visit places in osaka. It comes with free data and own set of mobile number. Very easy to set up when you want to first use it.

Hotel staff speak decent English. I has no problems communicating with them, making arrangements about my luggages and the payment for the courier of luggages.

Would definitely stay there again if I visit Osaka.

The hotel is within 5 mins of Daikokucho station exit 1. The neighbourhood has some restaurants and convenience shops but better food can be found in Namba. If one is more adventurous, walking to namba station takes 10mins. The neighbourhood is quiet and there is no traffic noise to disturb your sleep.

The breakfast is delicious although the menu does not vary much. The breakfast cafe will be packed on weekends and mondays.

Room wise, the standard room is clean and new. The power outlets are on the desk within convenient reach. A Handy Phone providing unlimited data browsing/local calls is provided.

The facilities in this hotel are passable, but the room is too small--with a double bed, at least--to leave a decent sized suitcase open and still have room to move. More importantly, the location is quite desolate. Located across from a pachinko parlor and parking garage, it is 10-15 minutes walk to the Daikokucho subway stop (to an elevator-equipped entrance) and 10-15 minutes walk in the other direction to Nanba. The hotel feels far away from things--and is.
Staff were nice, but a bit punctilious.

Good location-close to subway, but staff not so friendly, was sending someone up to get AC working but no one showed up. We asked for a piece of paper to print off our airplane ticket and they charged us 50 yen for the piece of paper! Staff front desk not great with English. No iron in room, but spray bottle for water was there. One channel on tv-bbc only english speaking and very few others. None are HD.
