Stayed here as the last hotel of our trip and it was an absolute dream. My favorite part of every day in Osaka was stopping at the Lawsons 25ft from the hotel and getting snacks to eat in bed watching anime and looking out the windows to see the whole city glowing at night. Such a dream.

The breakfast options for vegetarians were very limited and not particularly healthy — there didn't seem to be much understanding of vegetarian dietary needs.
We had booked a premium room for two adults and two children, but they refused to provide an extra bed, stating that the expectation is for adults to share beds with the children. On top of that, they didn't even give us the premium room we had originally booked. The customer service was quite rude throughout.

Breakfast was ok, but packed. Poor coffee service and not huge selection of items. The upstairs club was poorly run and unfriendly or helpful staff. The Whiskey Resturant. Food was average. Told if you order off ala carte menu items would take an hour as would drinks that had to be made at another bar. The staff was not friendly or helpful. It is as if they could care less to help you or make you feel welcome

This was our favorite hotel during our trip to Japan. The family room is spacious for Japanese standards and very well equipped. They even provided pajamas and slippers for my daughter. The views from the top floors are amazing and worth spending the extra money. Hotel is conveniently located very close to the main train that takes you directly to the Osaka airport. Clean, friendly staff and great for families.

I was assigned to 2 rooms on the 7th floor and both rooms were very loud from the train passing every few minutes that it drove me crazy. Mind you, I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids for both ears. My 2nd room was for my kids and was a little further away, but they were not bothered since they have noise canceling earphones anyway. I had asked for another room away from the train and was kindly moved to the 30th floor on the same side of the building. I can still hear the train, but very subtle enough that it was not bothering me. Ask for a room away from the train side. Other than that, the hotel was nice and close to shopping and restaurants. I wouldn't say it was a full 5 stars as advertised, may be 4.5 stars.

This hotel is in a convenient area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a corner room King REI and it was fantastic. The view at night was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean. We received a warm welcome while celebrating our honeymoon and a hand decorated card from the hotel which was very much appreciated and a thoughtful touch. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing hotel right in the centre of Osaka. It’s very close to Namba and within walking distance to Dontobouri. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are lovely and the breakfast is incredible. The staff also helped arrange luggage-forwarding service to our next destination. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to stay in Osaka.

We enjoyed this hotel very much.

Pros- staff was great, nextdoor to Namba Parks shopping and another shopping center with many food choices just less than 3 min walk.
Less than 15 min walk to Dontonburi street and the river. All the popular shopping streets.
Hotel had good bars and restaurants with amazing views up 30+ floors. Club lounge if you buy.
Breakfast buffet was very good if you buy.
Had premium corner room on 17th floor. Very well designed, great views, quiet, very clean. Good blackout curtains.

Cons -farther away from Shin- Osaka station. If you plan on bullet train / Shinkansen you have to take a JR or local train or longer taxi ride to get to that station.
Mattress was a bit too firm for me and wife, and im not that picky, wife is petite and had same complaint.

Overall an great hotel if it fits your budget.

Perfect location and beautiful room. We were walking distance to everything. The breakfast was amazing and worth adding. The staff was great and we loved the gym. The restaurants and bars had gorgeous views. I would stay here again. The only thing I was disappointed with was that the hot tub was a part of the spa and required a purchase of the spa package to utilize so we didn’t get to put our bathing suits to use. But I probably read the site wrong that’s my fault.

This is a lovely hotel, and the last stop on our 10-day vacation to Japan. We had stayed in ryokans and hotels on our previous nights. The Centara might be considered more of a “business hotel,” and was very nicely appointed. We had a corner room on the 23rd floor, which afforded a sweeping view of Osaka. Our room was spacious, even by U.S. standards, and especially so by Japan standards. Separate room for WC & tub/shower. mirror/sink/vanity had a window behind it with city views. Breakfast was not included, but we went down for one morning. There were stations for Thai, Western, and Japanese fare. Good auto-coffee machine. Great location as well, near the train station and “everything” else we wanted to see. Helpful staff. Highly recommend.

My room was absolutely incredible. I had a corner room with a city view. I was blown away by how beautiful the city was from so high up (31st floor). The room was big, but still cosy. It was a very comfortable stay and the breakfast was perfect to set me up for the day. The hotel team were very courteous and helpful and it all made for an extremely pleasant stay. If / when I come back to Osaka, I shall be choosing Centara Grand Hotel again!

There were no perks for silver members. This is a must!! The room taxes were high & the additional room tax of 500¥ was insane bust standard. I had a kid screaming in the next door room until 1:30a. It was in a difficult location & the mall it is attached to was closed for 2 days for cleaning!!

Room was spotless and clean everyday. We stayed for 9 days. The buffet breakfast was Western style and authenticThai Style as the chefs are Thais. As for the staffs they were all knowledgeable ,courteous and accomodating as to our needs. The 24hrs onsite gym has well stock modern equiptments...no waiting. The hotel is in the heart of Dotonburi,Osaka castle and many shopping and historical sites. I will most definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I will return to this hotel again next year.

The room was fairly big compared to other Japanese hotels in general, and we could open widely our two big luggages and still had so much space to move around the room. Very clean facilities and the view from the window was nice. Although there is still around 10-15 minutes walking distance to the Dotonburi side, it was considerably a very nice hotel to stay and I would come back again if i happen to visit Osaka in the future.

Centara is a budget friendly stay if you are wanting something convenient and close to Namba station. It has very central transportation. Staff were lovely and check in was easy. Rooms were clean, but the room was a little dated with technology and charging ports. Bathroom was very basic. Room size was small for a twin and tea and coffee making facilities limited.

Was stating the club level , and was asked to go the 32 floor for breakfast .
The breakfast here was very ordinary in terms of offerings and service , waited one morning for over 20 mins without my order arriving, left without breakfast very disappointing ! Considering it wasn’t busy then .
The staff bit helpful or polite which was not experience anywhere else in Japan
The next day went downstairs to their main lobby , so much better !!! Wasted two nights of my stay going to the club level.
