The hotel and the room had all the amenities making the stay comfortable with peace of mind. Spacious rooms, washing machine, service from the hotel staff was very good, rooms were cleaned every day. The best part was the buffet breakfast which had a smorgasbord of options which were quality tasty. Would definitely stay here again. The proximity to Namba station hub and shops made things super convenient to move around.

Fraser Residence is hands-down one of the best places to stay if you want to fully enjoy Osaka! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Namba, with Namba City and Namba Parks shopping malls literally just across the street. Whether you’re craving late-night snacks, shopping sprees, or easy train access, everything is at your doorstep. The room itself made the stay even better. It’s spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed with a separate bedroom and living area, giving you that cozy “home away from home” feel. Having a washing machine and cooking stove inside the unit was a game-changer—especially for longer stays. It really feels more like a stylish serviced apartment than a hotel!

If you’re visiting Osaka and want comfort, convenience, and the ultimate Namba experience—Fraser Residence is the place to be. Can’t recommend it enough!

The hotel itself was great. The room was very comfortable and well equipped and having the washing machine in the room was a big plus on our trip. We also though that the breakfast was very good and was very convenient. We also used the kitchenette and it was nice for a change of pace.

The only thing that was a negative was that we found the area around the hotel to be very noisy in the evening and overnight, particularly the sound of revving cars and motorcycles. I don't know if this was worse because we were there on a weekend and on a lower floor, but it definitely made for a less restful sleep.

The area around the hotel is great. Everything is in walking distance.
My only problem was the washing machine. The dryer did not work, I had called the front desk and someone came to look at it. They couldn’t get it fixed either and offered to dry our clothes in their dryer. When we picked them up the next day, they were still not completely dry, but we were checking out and had to take our semi wet clothes to our next destination.
I think for the price I paid, a better effort could’ve been made.

Great hotel, friendly and attentive staff. Quick to assist with any questions. Location is great, with easy access to transit and walking to nearby neighbourhoods. Lots of great nearby eateries and convenience stores on every other block. The room is a good size, especially by Japanese standards.

The only issue was that we booked a room for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), but the room only had 1 (king-sized) bed and 1 small sofa that converted to a bed that barely fit 1 kid. When we enquired at the front desk, they offered to either make up the sofa with sheets for 9,000 yen, or give us sheets for free. As bizarre as it seemed to have to pay extra for them to add sheets, it still didn't solve the problem of where our 2nd child was supposed to sleep. We asked them to deliver 2 sets of sheets, and we managed to create a makeshift bed on the floor. The hotel doesn't have cots or roll-away beds. It was very strange that they knew that we were travelling as a family of 4, but only provided bedding for 3 people. The next day they did offer us a 2 bedroom unit, but for a significantly higher rate than our King Executive room, and since we'd already unpacked, it didn't make much sense logistically or financially.

After we \"Macgyver-ed\" the sleeping arrangements, everything else was great. We would definitely consider this hotel again, but be prepared that their interpretation of how to sleep 4 guests might be off compared to other hotels. We had no such issues at Mimaru hotels previously.

Very convenient location in terms of being walkable distance to Dotombori and local trains/subways. My room was clean and I loved having a washing machine in my room especially in the Summer when I was always sweating so I constantly washed my clothes in between outings. The staff was great - always friendly and helpful. The only negative thing seems to be the lack of soundproofing, since I've heard banging, thumping and sometimes yelling through walls or ceiling (could be why they offer ear plugs). If I come back to Osaka I'll most likely book a room here again.

This hotel was fantastic. The location was great, a short walk from all the action in Dontonbori, close to Namba station, but far away so that it was quite still. The washer/dryer was key as it was halfway through our trip so we were able to pack light and laundry. The room size was quite large as well, and the TV had the ability to cast from your phone which is a huge plus as English speaking travellers.

We also got the breakfast while we stayed here which offered a large variety of options.

The staff were also very helpful and taught us how luggage forwarding worked when we decided to use the service to send our luggage to our next hotel.

Lastly, this hotel has a private sauna and steam room, which was something we took advantage of after days of 25-30k steps through Kyoto and Osaka.

If I am ever in Osaka again, I will definitely book this hotel.

I was excited to stay at this place because of all the raving reviews on how kind and lovely the staff were, but that was just not my experience. I felt that they were a bit impatient and not very accommodating. I stayed in a room that was handicap accessible which is great but should probably be reserved for those who need it. It was set up and two twin beds and we requested to be changed to a different room and we were OK with paying extra. They said that they didn’t have anything available, but when I looked back on Expedia, there were several rooms available. I just felt like the room was an eye sore and honestly out of the three different hotels we stayed at in Japan this was the most unappealing one.

Great customer service and friendly. Greeted by staff with every encounter. Large rooms, and bedroom separated from bathroom, living room and kitchenette were a plus. It made traveling with a toddler easier. Close by to the Namba train station so getting around Osaka was easy. The hotel is within 5 min from shopping, markets, and great food. Awesome location. I would stay here again, and recommend it to friends with children.

Very corporate, but well situated with everything from Dotonbori to the train and metro station at a walkable distance. The only major issue is the mattresses that are way too hard, making it uncomfortable to have a good night sleep.

The property appeared to look a little older when compared to other options but does include a small kitchen and washing machine and dryer.

On the last day, we made an early checkout but requested to leave our bags at the front. We returned with a few breakfast items and requested to sit in a table and to borrow utensils to enjoy our breakfast; unfortunately, they made it very difficult to provide access to a table and we didn’t get a fork and knife so we can eat a quick breakfast.

The best place to stay in Osaka!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times and every time has been wonderful. The service is excellent. Whenever I send luggage before my stay, it is always waiting for me in my room when I arrive.

The staff are all so friendly, welcoming, and professional, especially Janak who helped me check in and Eiko and Shankar who helped me forward my luggage.

I was happy that a few staff members even remembered me from my previous visits.

The location is perfect. Namba station is very close to the hotel, so it’s a great base for exploring Osaka and for day trips. There’s plenty of shopping and dining options nearby.
The washer/dryer in the room is so convenient. I love the music it plays when a cycle is done!

The pyjamas are comfortable. I like that they are a shirt and pants instead of the long, awkward nightgown that some hotels provide. I enjoyed having a smart TV in the room for YouTube.

Close to large metro station and numerous restaurants and stores. Short walk, 5 minutes, from Dotombori which was entertaining at night. Very welcoming staff at front desk and breakfast restaurant. Very comfortable and quiet 1 bedroom suite on 11th floor. Would return.

This hotel was right in the heart of Namba so close to the train stations and tons of restaurants. The staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. We loved having the washer/dryer in our room so we could do laundry while we were out. There was also a kitchenette fully stocked with everything you would need to cook, but we didn't have time to cook while we were there for 2 nights. The shower was excellent. We liked having the ecofriendly slippers provided which had a thicker sole and can be rewashed. The room was a very good size for a hotel in Japan. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices, both Japanese and Western. The hotel was extra secure because you needed to use your key card to access the elevator floor that you are supposed to be on. We definitely would stay here again the next time we are in Osaka and would highly recommend to our friends/family.

Second hotel for my trip so the washing machine & dryer is a saver for us as we can throw the clothes in and go to sleep. Overall the room is quite clean except the toilet and kitchen area have slight smell (I am sensitive to smell). Bed is abit small for 2 adults and 1 3 years old kid to sleep together. They only can add on sofa bed outside the room which don’t work for us. Overall stay is decent

Love that we have a lot of drawers/ areas to store our clothes. Love the smell of the provided laundry detergent- I even had to ask reception the name of the detergent.

Love all the amenities provided. The staff are WONDERFUL, especially SHIELA during our buffet breakfast which was included in our stay. Love the breakfast food- so much variety.

However, we noticed the bed is hard for us to sleep on.
It is too firm for us.

But overall, I preferred this hotel than the one where we stayed at Tokyo for the rest of our Japan vacay.

I would definitely book here again if we do come back to Osaka again ❤️

Convenient and walking distance to train stations, shopping and Dotonbori. The property is clean and spacious and it's like having a mini-apartment with fully furnished kitchen and washer/dryer. The actual room was smaller than I expected but everything else was great. Having a full kitchen and laundry in room was perfect with a young child. Room had enough space for her to run around and staff was helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend and will return the next time we’re in Osaka.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are super spacious and clean. The location is prime, right next to Namba station and walking distance to Dotonbori and Kuroman markets. The breakfast was great. The staff was kind. Would stay again and recommend to anyone staying in Osaka!

The rooms were spacious and appreciated the kitchenette and laundry options in the room. We also had a quiet room which was greatly appreciated. The location was very close to the Namba station and the mall, with lots of shopping, dining options. The one improvement I would suggest is better ventilation in the bathroom as it always felt a bit damp and muggy in the bathroom despite the AC and de-humidifier being on in the room.

We booked 2 bedrooms unit, the space is amazing compared to usual Japan hotel. Check in staff was unwelcoming, however the Hotel supervisor was great in the Service recovery! Location is great, just opposite Airport Express, Mcdonald is just across the street. Lawson and many eateries below hotel.
