Love that rooftop pool..wish they had the towels already there for us without asking.
Love tte rooms and using a room key.
Reception staff could speak more English.
Wish restaurant menu had healthier choices. Wish the elevator did not have that perfume smell.
Still a good value all around and is my go to choice. All staff very kind and friendly.

Once I arrived (2 am ) I was greeted with a staff member telling me that my room had been sold so I had to find another hotel!
I then had to walk the streets finding another hotel. I then had to sort out the refund process the next day for 3 hours which the manage then simply walked off didn’t even. Apologie! I’m writing this as a warning, I have since had confirmation 8 days later I am getting a refund from my constant messages but not good practice

While the interior was a in need of a little sprucing up, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great!
Pillows could use replacing, but that’s about the biggest complaint so that’s not a big issue considering the cost of the room.
Didn’t hear much noise at all from the bar across the road (which people have mentioned before) and I’m a light sleeper.
Overall for somewhere to just sleep and shower I think it’s a great low price option!

The staff were very lovely, helpful and humble, like all the balinese people are!
The room was fair condition. I wasn't fussy though as i was travelling alone. The major downside was that i went for a rest and reprieve holiday but unfortunately with this being my first time in Bali, I didn't know that the Palette Hotel is right in front of a bar that has DagQueen Karaoke, EVERYSINGLE NIGHT, from roughly 7:45pm until roughly 11:30pm!!! So i didn't get the peaceful evenings in my room that i was so looking forward too! Very dissapointed by that. Free breakfast included. Wasn't the greatest food and small portions. However it was free included, so i was still happy with it. I wouldn't recommend to stay qith children or for a relaxing time. Good if you want to party or stay up late everynight.

I had paid for my stay in full a couple of months prior to arrival, and let the hotel know I would
Be arriving around midnight ( I had paid for that night) . My son and I arrived and they had sold our rooms for a higher rate. This left my son and I with know where to stay for the night as they had no rooms left. They tried to fix the situation with shipping us to their sister hotel for the night in Sanur, promised us they would make a room available the next day.
However, their sister hotel was an hour away from where I had paid to be, wasn’t that pleasant (dirty) I spent the next day sorting new accommodation for my son and I.
Glad I decided to move asap - I do not recommend staying or booking this hotel!

Bar restaurant is underused due to being overpriced in comparison to other local places, I only went in the once and they had no beer,which is something other reviewers have mentioned, never went in again
Very simple to sort out,shame because it’s a nice bar
That aside,I’m more than happy to stay there again
Despite the noise from the bar,only up to 11:30
But it’s loud

The staff fantastic and very considerate and helpful, room clean pool always clean but the decking and lounge chairs are very dirty and old needs replaced and cleaned with cushions on all pool sun chairs, had a very sore back after lay on the sun lounges, the Hotel is always full with travelers so looking after them and making our stay more comfortable should be considered and up grade on the pool area is in very high demand thanks 🙏

I think it should be expressed that if you are going to stay here, you have to be a person that goes to bed late. The show drag queen show goes until midnight and for me the first few nights I was there. It only sucked because I was sick and could not go out anywhere so the music kept me up for those three days Otherwise great place.

This property was perfect for a solo traveler. The room was clean, with great air conditioning and facilities. While it can get a bit noisy in the evenings from the bars across the road, it didn’t affect my stay at all. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and having a 24-hour reception was especially convenient for my late arrival.

Clean hotel but a little old and tired. Can’t praise the staff at the Zest highly enough, they were lovely - I unfortunately got sick while staying here and had to get a doctor - reception called to check up on me and see how I was feeling after me make sure I was okay - the staff were friendly and always greeted you with a smile.

The only major drawback is the bar accross the road blasting loud music from 8pm-midnight. If you are a night owl and go out to party in the evening then it’s not an issue, but if you want rest and quiet this isn’t the place for you

Staying here was unpleasant right from the second we walked in. After reconfirming my room requirement 3 times and being assured that’s what I was getting, I didn’t get it. There was no pool bar as advertised. No fridge that worked near the pool. It took over 30 minutes to get some towels. When we asked a basic question the answer was a straight out no, and they just kept walking. All of the staff were trainees so it’s not really their fault, I blame this terrible experience on poor management. I would never stay here again, nor would I recommend anyone else to stay here.

I enjoyed my stay here. It's a short walk to Double Six beach and lots of dining options right outside the door. My room was facing the street and there was a bar doing karaoke till about 11pm every night which was quite loud but I would (and probably will) stay here again.

A criticism would be the bedding wasn't the cleanest. One big criticism is the bar down stairs. The beer was constantly warm and you ran out of Bintangs 3 times in a 10 day stay , UNFORGIVABLE

The location was perfect, with restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. The rooftop pool was a highlight, with plenty of lounges and umbrellas. The rooms were as expected for what I paid, clean and comfortable (bed on the softer side) good shower pressure and effective aircon. My friend and I opted for 2x balcony rooms, which proved very handy for drying wet swimmers, towels etc.

Noise from neighbouring bars is unavoidable, Live music is usually heard until around 11:30pm.

Some shower gel is provided and complimentary toothbrush/mini toothpaste, plus 2 small bottles of water, replaced daily. You will need to bring your own shampoo, hairdryer etc.

The rooftop pool and impeccable friendly service make this budget hotel an absolute stand out. I will definitely be coming back ☺️

Thank you to all the staff for making my stay in Bali such an enjoyable one.

Great hotel and location, booked 4 rooms with breakfast for 4 nights, two rooms were upgraded which was great. Breakfast was a bit hot and miss, buffet for two morning then a la carte for the other two (with restrictions).
If it’s your thing there’s nowhere to sun bathe, the roof to pool is totally covered and the bar isn’t open, wasn’t staffed when we were there.
Rooms are clear and very well set out, balcony’s are tiny, only really usable for dry clothes, AC works well.
Rooms at the rear of the hotel are better off you want to avoid any street/night noisie.

Loved the security of the property. It’s a bit tired, but the linen and room is clean and the beds very comfy. If you're room is on the street side of the hotel be prepared to stay up till midnight every night due to loud music across the street. Breakfasts were good, rooms were fine, rooftop pool was quit good. Location is good as well, walk through the Jayakarta Hotel to beach.

Zest Legian is a great budget hotel in a fantastic location.
The staff were all friendly and accommodating.
The Infinity Pool was excellent. At times we were the only ones there.
A few suggestions:
To have a kettle in the rooms for tea/coffee making.
More umbrellas at the pool area.
Have a phone at the pool area to order food and drinks.
Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at Zest Legian and will stay again.

It is not a hotel. It’s a motel very shabby. Very old. Too much noise asked if there was any other rooms and they said no. I think you really need to upgrade the pictures that you put on for this motel because it’s not the same very very shabby.

Great little hotel - very nice, helpful staff. Nothing too much trouble. Clean, very central, lots of passing transport if you want it. Do take note of the notice re tattoos and bed linen - buy a couple of sarongs! The hotel obviously has had issues with us tourists in the past and it doesn't take much to be considerate. Would definitely stay again and will look for Zest in other locations. Thank you Zest!

We booked 1 night at the end of our stay as we had a late flight and wanted to use shower etc
The room was absolutely disgusting and the bathroom was so dirty we didn’t even use it .
Tried to raise the issue with management to get a refund but they wouldn’t hear it .
On top of not being able to use the room, they had no towels
To give at the pool, the room was noisy as , and the tv wasn’t working
Do not waste your money here! Disgusting

A little misleading.

Ideal for 1 or 2 nights. I was issued earplugs on arrival because of the noise from the band downstairs. This wasn't mentioned on the website. Complained and was moved to a supposedly quieter room. Luckily the earplugs work.

The location of the property was very central. A great area to stay. The room was small and there was nowhere in the bathroom to put toiletry bags . Nowhere in the room to stick clothes. One small area to place bag. No coffee making facilities. Breakfast was a fixed plate and if you didn't want that, and just wanted toast and coffee it cost extra. Someone had vomited near the elevator and staff were advised but it took to days to move the bin and clean the area. Not ideal.

The property was great value for money and it’s well located. The staff were friendly, the AC were great and the biggest surprise for the money we paid was how comfy the bed was. The only downside was the wifi. We stayed at the end of the hotel and the signal was very weak and didn’t work most of the time, however they did offer to move us to a new room but we had already settled after a few nights and didn’t want to pack back up and move, however it was nice for the offer. Overall a really great stay and would go back.

I did not like that I was told I would get a king bed and it's really 2 twins pushed together and then wrapped with an old bloody comforter. Really. I took it all apart because it was so uncomfortable as it was made. I just put the sheet directly on the mattress and slept on the one twin bed. They are high quality mattresses but it's not a king bed. And they really need to just get a real mattress cover instead of using some old comforter that someone soiled.

Aurcon was faulty, bathroom sink wouldmt drain. Had to basically beg to me moved to a different room. Staff were very unhelpful but found out later that many dont speak English.
Linen was diety in both room. First room had fresh pen ink on the doona (clearly hadnt been washed) and there was no top sheet. Second room had stains on the linen.
Was also very concerning when maintenance just let themselves in to my room without knocking invading my privacy and making me feel very unsafe.
My recommendation is dont stay here.

The hotel itself is fine, small rooms but the bed is comfortable. The staff are so lovely and the location is amazing. But If you want to be in bed before 12am this hotel is not for you. You can hear a different band playing on each side of your hotel room and in early hours of the morning you can hear every little sound. Trolleys, in corridor bikes cars people yelling in the corridor. Doors slamming. I’m glad I brang my ear plugs or I would have left.

ZEST Hotel staff members were friendly, efficient and provided excellent customer service. The property is value for money and kept in very good condition. It is located near to multiple, entertainment, dining and shopping options. It's only a short walk to the beach and transport is readily available for longer trips.
