We travelled all the way from Canada to watch the Euro Championship in Germany. Unfortunately, my family and I experienced a very unpleasant situation with one of the employee Saturday morning.
We arrived at breakfast service around 10am and we were quite surprised that none of the main dishes were available. While these things may happen, we were extremely disappointed with the service of the employee, Melanie. First, I tried asking her if there was going to be more main dishes coming out, but I was completely ignored. A few minutes later, my two sons also tried to ask her questions about the breakfast but they were very rudely spoken to. Throughout our breakfast, we noticed her behaviour to be very erratic. After this terrible experience I asked her for her name and I told her I was upset with her service. She replied that she is dealing with 100 people and did not apologize for her behaviour. Her service ruined my entire family’s breakfast experience and morning.
We were spending all of our time in Dortmund, but decided to stay at this hotel in Witten due to the great reviews about the breakfast service. In fact, we had a delightful breakfast the precious day.

Wonderful friendly people, good food in the restaurant, our room was lovely with lots of natural light and it also had a balcony. The breakfast was great. And all this came at a price that was very reasonable. If we get the chance to visit Witten again, this is definitely the hotel we would choose. The gentleman on reception, Holger, was very welcoming and made us feel at home.

The hotel is a little dated, but that gives it a certain charm - non-standard business hotel (Ibis, Holiday Inn, etc.) I booked late in the day and I think this led to the heating in the room not being switched on. The room was chilly (2 degrees outside) and only warmed up by the following morning, partially because it was fairly spacious. The restaurant \ bar were good and the food was excellent. Breakfast on the 9th floor looking out over the city is a great touch.

Seems to be the only four-star option in Witten, and it works okay. The rooms are dated and get stuffy on a hot summer day (no air conditioning). Bathrooms are Somewhat grimmy, due to age rather than daily upkeep. The best part of the stay was breakfast, which takes place in the 9th floor, where very friendly staff will help you to \"real\" eggs and other fresh product while you enjoy the view.

Although this hotel is convenient to the train station, it is not an easy walk with luggage. It is set back a distance from the street and not easy to find, but there is a sign on the street marking the location. The food and service at the lobby restaurant were good. My overall rating and staff rating were affected somewhat by our being overcharged by 40 Euro. My Expedia rate included breakfast, but they charged me for breakfast in addition to the Expedia rate. Unfortunately we did not notice it immediately as other hotels booked through Expedia charged for breakfast; however, the total charges always added up to the Expedia rate. Check your documentation before checking out.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Ringhotel Parkhotel in Witten. it is very close to the central train station, clean and comfortable and has a wonderful breakfast venue, on the 9th floor with a lovely verandah that you can sit out on and a lovely view. The food for breakfast is also great, everything you could want is available. The only thing I would have liked was tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Wir wurden spät am abend sehr freundlich empfangen, das hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen aber wirklich sehr gepflegt und sauber. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, Bad und Toilette getrennt von einander, Perfekt !
Am nächsten morgen war ich allein im Schwimmbad und konnte entspannt meine bahnen ziehen, auch hier sieht man das alter deutlich aber trotzdem ok. Im 9. Stock Frühstück mit Blick über Witten, es war alles da was man braucht um gestärkt in den Tag zu starten auch als Vegetarier. Der Service dort war auch sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir würden wieder kommen, und vielleicht wird ja mal eine modernisierung in Angriff genommen !

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber sauber, gut ausgestattet und okay. Positiv die saunalandschaft und der Pool, freundliche Rezeption. Enttäuschend das Personal beim Frühstück. Ab 9 Uhr musste man sehr lange warten bis die einzelnen Dinge nach gelegt wurden. Teilweise unfreundlich in jedem Fall aber unfähig.

Alles gewohnt wie immer. Das Hotel ist zwar prinzipiell etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles ist sauber und das Personal läßt einen darüber gene hinwegsehen. Trotz aller COVID-Einschränkungen ein sehr netter Aufenthalt, vor allem durch die netten Mitarbeiter. Hervorzuheben: Es gibt Frühstücksbuffet, das ist neuerdings ja kaum mehr zu finden ;-)

Das Hotel liegt 5 Minuten Fußweg zur Innenstadt von Witten. Das Zimmer war ein bischen angejahrt, das hat ber noicht gestört, denn es war groß und sehr sauber.
