The property is conveniently located in close proximity to several bakeries, restaurants and shops. Very walkable to get anywhere in town, and public transportation is available close by.
Overall, the hotel was quiet and the room was comfortable and clean. Please note that the room does not have a private bath attached. A shower and restroom is available on each floor so as long as you are comfortable with that, this is a nice place to stay. There is a community kitchen on the first floor that can be used by the guests. An elevator is not available since it is an old building, be prepared to walk up some steep stairs to your room with your luggage. Parking is not available at the property. Check in and check out is easy and convenient. Hotel staff is friendly.

Easy out-of-hours self check-in with access to key in safe if you let the owners know, so don't let that put you off. Good sized room, comfortable bed, desk, sink in room, wardrobe and WiFi. Bathroom was a couple of doors away, and always free when I needed it. Had to make my own bed, but that's a minor issue considering the cost of the room. For the price, most reasonable and recommended!

Ich wurde im Hotel Tusculum in Marburg sehr herzlich empfangen. Der Inhaber ist überaus nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Hotel selbst ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die zentrale und bequeme Lage, von der aus man alles schnell erreicht. Die Unterkunft hat Toiletten und eine Dusche, die gemeinschaftliche genutzt werden, weshalb es oft vorkommt, dass man warten müsste, um zu duschen oder auf's Klo zu gehen.
Sie sind trotzdem immer sauber gewesen, während meines Aufenthalts und es wurden Duftspray, Desinfektionsmittel und Fußmatten für die Dusche bereitgelegt, sodass man für sich selbst auch nochmal alles abwischen konnte.
Die Wände sind leider etwas dünn und das Haus ist auch etwas älter, weshalb man die anderen Gäste auf dem Flur in seinem Zimmer hören konnte oder auch Schritte oder knarrende Bodendielen.
Auch kann man andere Gäste in den Zimmern hören, wenn man auf dem Flur steht und wenn es außen auf der Straße laut ist, schallt das auch zu den Zimmern hoch.
Auch wenn niemand übermäßig laut und störend war, konnte man Geräusche auch bei normaler Lautstärke in den Zimmern hören.
Das wären auch meine einzigen negativen Punkte, da ansonsten alle Anliegen oder Beschwerden vom Personal gerne entgegen genommen wurden und mir wurde auch am Tag der Abreise großzügig angeboten mein Gepäck auch nach Check-Out abstellen zu können bis ich auf meinen Zug musste.

Habe sowohl über Expedia als auch im direkten Kontakt zu dem Hotel mehrere Tage vor der Anreise das Zimmer storniert.
