I booked this not knowing it was a hotel on a truck stop, that being said, it was very quiet, which surprised me. My issue was with the spiders in the corners of the room, the AC kept shutting off without a timer being on (we visited when there was a heatwave) the beds were terribly uncomfortable, the person that checked us in was soooo rude and the room was not clean.

This is the worst of the worst. Everything is cheap and dated, both the fittings and the equipment. The restaurant is a ghastly self-service food area. The staff couldn't care about anything. the hotel is by a lorry park and next to a motorway.

It’s at a truck stop and men and women coming and going... ok but they also advertise their beds, it’s dirty, you can’t get clean towels or bedding. The front desk doesn’t have access to anything and is in the truck stop also ringing up customers.

Our family stayed at Serways Heiligenroth on our way from Bruges to Nuremberg. We arrived around midnight and were a bit concerned by the apparent lack of parking and possible road noise. As it turned our, there was plenty of parking in the back and our room was very quite. The room was utilitarian, but comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. We would stay here again.I reccommed asking for a room facing the back of the building.

Their was a problem at check-in, it seemed that the reservation had been lost however Hotels.com quickly sorted the problem after we contacted them via Twitter. The hotel was fantastic. Really close the autobahn but without any traffic noise at all in the hotel. Our room had a balcony and windows overlooking a beautiful forest, no ugly views of the aitobahn from this hotel. Beside the hotel is a very clean and well equipped service station and the breakfast (extra charge) was good and generous. We travelled as a family and had our dog with us. The hotel fitted our needs perfectly on our cross-europe drive.

I was just doing some business nearby, so I did not explore. What I saw was pretty, safe, and clean. The staff was friendly and the room was a great value with a comfortable bed, not too hard. The TV had an HDMI input and the WiFI was sufficient for watching videos and making VOIP calls.

Booked online just before arriving and had reservation but on arrival told they were full. Receptionist had a piece of paper with hand written names which she counted to confirm hotel full. She was obviously unable to update the electronic system which makes it a waste of time being on Expedia. When we called Expedia to complain not only was it showing the twin room we booked but three singles available. YOU EXPEDIA NEED TO REMOVE THESE IDIOTS FROM YOUR SYSTEM.

Excellent Stopover
We stayed at this Hotel several times many years ago when it was part of the 'Best Western' hotel chain. Our recent stay was very pleasant, they have added air conditioning to the rooms since our last stay. Good comfortable beds, an excellent stopover if you have a long way to travel as we did. My only complaint is that we had booked a triple room for two adults and one 13 year old however they only provided us with three hand towels and only one bath towel.

Stopped here on drive down from the UK to Austria- it was great-so convenient with direct access to forests trails. Rooms were quiet, very clean and simple- just what we needed. Located at the services so refreshments on the doorstep- and staff friendly and helpful. We'll be staying again.

Simple but Convenient
Serways Hotel Heiligenroth is at service station near highway, so if you need a hotel room near highway to move to your destination on time, it is the right place. You can eat the breakfast at the service station with two options; simple one at about 5 Euro and full one at about 10 Euro. The reception at the service station was very kind. Once again the hotel is small but it is convenient to move by car.

When we arrived we could not enter inside of the hotel. There was nobody inside or outside to give us advice. Later we discovered that hotel does not have reception, and all registration has to be provided by cofee shop personal nearby. Nothing special I can say about this hotel, excluding the fact that it was cold in the room.

A good value but hard to find
This is a newer, well-maintained property. Sparsely furnished but a high-end bathroom. Difficult to find however as the name on the outside is Hotel, not Motel, and the only way to reach it is off a one-way southbound access road for the A3 Autobahn, and if you miss it (we did) it's 15 minutes before you can get back.
However it is next to a large, modern 24-hour truck stop with good food and service that also serves as reception.

Autobahn location with car & long racecar trailer
Fine, except arrived around 2300 after spending 22 hours in the car (snow!!) and not wanting hassle. The poor (very polite) receptionist had to ring manager 'at home' and, in the end, it took OVER 20 minutes to get a key!! Otherwise, fine and I knew the hotel/service area from previous trips down to Munich/Nuremberg. Freindly staff at breakfast and good food with it being served until 11am, which is good for very late travellers!

Great Hotel and location, shame about the welcome
The hotel is conveniently located directly off the A3 but neither Google maps, Hotels.com, viaMichelin, or the hotel staff could explain exactly how to get there. We arrived for the first of two 1 night stays (outward and return) only to be told by hotel staff that we were booked for 2 nights. After a lengthy amendment to our booking we got to our room. Absolutely excellent in every respect. Clean, spacious and very comfortable. Excellent shower and the hotel even provided two cots for our 1 year old twins. We paid extra for breakfast but it was well worth it and up to typical German standards. Our return stay some 3 weeks later was the same story. The hotel believed we were booked in for 2 nights (we booked one) and they even charged us an extra ten Euros because their prices had gone up! Access to this hotel is not possible directly off the A3 for the return journey so we had to drive through the surrounding village without issue. Great hotel with super facilities, great value, somewhat spoiled by our welcome. We raised this issue with Hotels.com and this would not put us off staying there again when we make this same trip next year.

Personeel mag wel wat vriendelijker zijn maar over het algemeen is het een prima hotel. Kamer is ruim en hadden nu voor het eerst een bank op de kamer dat was zeer aangenaam zodat je niet de hele avond op het bed hoeft te hangen. Douche was wel vreselijk. De knop werkte contra, warme kant was koud en de koude kant was warm. Hierdoor verbrande ik me voeten. Bedden zijn zeer comfortabel, alleen het kussen stelt weinig voor.

Unfortunately we had not the best experience. We booked and paid via Hotels.com (expedia) a few days earlier a room. When checking in the receptionist informed us Expedia didn't make the payment and we needed to pay, which we did. We contacted Hotel.com call center who tried to get a hold of the hotelmanager to resolve. Unfortunately they were not able to speak to the hotelmanager to resolve the issue. We showed the receptionist our payment to Hotel.com but she was not interested and only followed her own system, no willingness to listen. When my sister called my father for advise, the receptionist started shouting to stop recording the conversation and threatened with the police. My sister was flabbergasted, my father shocked to hear the receptionist shouting and we decided to leave this uncomfortable and aggressive situation. We did our best, spoke German as the receptionist was not able or willing speaking English. Nothing wrong with the hotel, neither the attempts from the hotel.com call center to solve and appologisies we received. You see that you can have a good company, but at the end it are the people working for you that can break your reputation in a second. Hotel.com will for sure solve it and pay back the double payment, it's just unneeded and unnecessary experience burning time of people and creating the wrong memories the hotel staff should have created.

Abgesehen, dass man das Hotel nur einseitig erreichen kann, ist man nach 21 Uhr völlig aufgeschmissen, da die sich im rasthaus befindliche Rezeption geschlossen ist.
Anstelle die Durchwahl ab 21 Uhr auf die Tankstelle umzuleiten, die dann den Check-In übernimmt, muss man die Rufnummer erst an der Eingangstür ablesen, um dann wiederum nur über Umwege dorthin zu gelangen.
Wenn man dann noch, wie hier geschehen, via Paypal den Zimmerpreis bereits entrichtet hat, wird dann noch einmal zur Kasse gebeten, weil die Tankstelle offensichtlich kein Zugriff auf das Hotel System besitzt.
Aus diesem Grund erfährt der Gast auch nicht, ob er das zuviel bezahlte Entgelt jemals zurück erhält, so dass man nur schlecht gelaunt sein Zimmer aufsucht.
Hingegen wird man am Morgen danach im Rasthaus mit kompetenten freundlichen Mitarbeitern überrascht, die dann auch schnell den Ausgleich vornehmen, so dass der Aufenthalt zumindest ein positives Ende findet.

Parkplatz-Situation hat Verbesserungspotential, vor dem Eingang war alles belegt, es gibt leider keinen Hinweis, dass sich unterhalb des Gebäudes weitere Parkplätze befinden. Das Zimmer selbst war ok, das \"Bad\" ist von der Größe her eher ein Gäste-WC mit Dusche, man kann sich kaum bewegen. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise aber ok, wenn man wirklich nur zum Schlafen kommt. Hotelgäste bekommen in der angrenzenden Raststätte 25% auf Frühstück.
