The room was in great need of repair. The door latch looked like someone had tried to break in, literally. The latch was ready to fall off and handle didn't lock properly. Curtains were very worn to the point that it was easy to see through them especially without blinds in between curtains and windows. Looked like dogs had been jumping up in window and scratching curtains with paws. Walls were in need of a new paint job. Lots of scratches on walls as well as having floor lamp without any outlet to plug it in. Also desk in room had front drawers literally ready to fall off, just barely attached. We would not have stayed but were very tired and it was late. Would never have stayed if l was by myself, didnt feel safe.

POS: bed, blankets, pillows were comfortable, close to restaurants. Soft towels and wash rags. Hotel help was pleasant.
Cons: breakfast was very limited and not stocked well. Room was not cleaned very well. Hot water warmed up quickly to the point of getting burned, cold water was hard to adjust. No extra sitting chair. Lamps not working and sockets weren’t either. Desk/dresser drawers we not functional. The curtains did not go all the way across window so we had to jimmy them to cover as much as we could. The reviews for this place were good (so we thought). Door lock was broken and took a minute to get it to lock properly. Overall, do not use their services. I would not book here again.

The room did not look clean. Once walking in there was stains on the beds. They were stains on the towels. There was mold and dirt in the trashcan. The door handled to the room was falling off. I had to screw the screws back into it myself to feel safe glad we brought our dogs. There was just an awful feeling about the whole place. there was also dust everywhere in the room. I booked the room online paid for it already online told them I was bringing two dogs with me and once I got there there was an up charge of $80 total when it was supposed to be $20 per dog is what I was told on the phone. glad to say we was in hotel service. We had to strip our beds ourselves and clean our room before even attempting to put our stuff in the room. I also took pictures of everything, but they won’t let me upload it on here. And last but not least but when checking out, there was no one at the front desk. We had to leave our room key and door key in a basket at the front desk. The room key did not work. We had to use a door key to open our room.

Let's start with the positive. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The shower is great with lots of hot water .
However, the carpet had not been vacuumed and had white bits every where. The light is so low I thought I'd was just carpet fuzz. Looking closely the stuff near the bed was toenails clippings. I didn't even want to know what the rest was. If you don't care about sanitation this place is fine. The gentleman who checked us in was lovely. The sink was glued back together and had no plug. The bathroom floor was black in the corners. You do what works for you.

We booked for 2 nights for a concert festival that was in the area. The facility was dated, the breakfast was okay, & the staff was friendly. All that said, the management and owners really should fix the issues. The room we were in was in awful condition & is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. It had just \"had the AC fixed\", which sometimes blew cold air, but mostly hot air. The mattresses were dated, & mattress covers very worn with holes but looked clean (no bed bugs). The sheets & towels had some stains (usually doesn't faze me much, but taking everything else into account gave me some pause). The furniture had obvious wear & tear, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls & following my 11 y.o. taking a shower, we found that there were cockroaches living behind the wallpaper. I don't mean just a few either; we killed over 50 of them just in 1hr. My 15 y.o. son, decided to sleep our van after we moved all of our things back out (only 1.5hr after arriving), & because it was 2:30 AM, we slept in the room with only the clothes on our backs, & still found one roach in our van. Thankfully, I had read some reviews & brought Lysol, which served a dual purpose of killing roaches & cleaning the surfaces & air in the place. We thought that it may have been isolated to our room, since the AC had been broken, but upon asking other guests all the other rooms had similar issues. We were refunded 1 night's stay after much hassle & I'm calling the health dept.to report it.

We have stayed here several ither times but this time the first room was musty smelling, it had stain on the bed linings, cobweb on the ceiling. The room they changed us too was a little better but they need to paint and get new tubs. A little work to the front rooms like they did the back would be great. The second room did have new matresses and those were good.

We booked two rooms as we traveled down the Interstate. When we arrived, the place did not look as pictured. It was very cluttered around the exterior with a dumpster of heaping garbage and old toilets behind the hotel (near the doors to our two rooms). Worse, one room smelled horrid (like dirty laundry - really filthy old laundry). The other room had visible hair in the beds and in the bathroom and the AC did not get the room to anywhere near comfortable in the short time we were there. The manager gave us a key for another room explaining that they had a new cleaning service start that day, but the 3rd room had not even been cleaned at all. The beds were still messed up, so we just closed the door and went back to the main desk. He then offered to refund our payment, which we immediately accepted and moved on down to the next town where we did find a comfortable and CLEAN set of rooms. This was on July 28, 2025. No refund has shown up on our debit card yet. The manager said it \"might\" take 24 hours, but it has been over a week. We have traveled extensively and rarely if ever give poor reviews. There was one bad one in South Bend, Indiana, and another in Iowa City. However, this hotel is worse than the worst one we have ever booked. We were so happy to get the offer of a refund and move on! But we haven't received the refund yet. This place should be avoided.

fine if all you need is a few hours sleep

We booked this last minute as we were driving through the area at 11PM. The price was right for the limited time we would be there. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for though. The bed looked clean and was comfortable; however, the room smelled stale and the bathroom was not as clean as it should be.

At the time of this booking it had a rating of 7.2. Which was one of the higher ones at the time in this town. Once I got inside my room, the carpet felt like it was caked with something and sticky, and a hot water worked sporadically. I don't know how they got such a high rating but the motel is not worth the price.

The carpet had garbage all throughout the area, as well....in the room.

This was mine and my friends 2nd at Americas Best! We are very happy with this hotel. It is convenient to the fair grounds in Ashland where we go to Rock the Country. Every was very clean, parking was easy and front desk is very friendly! This is not no 5 star hotel but it is very nice and they always let us check in early (for a fee) and air conditioner works great, beds are very comfy and there is a nice shower with plenty of hot water. There are many places to eat close by and they have a small breakfast with waffles! We will return next year! Thank you for Everything!

Good check-in and then downhill from there. The room door VERY difficult to open, multiple lights did not work, dirty-looking towels/bath mat, could not get the bathroom light to turn off AT ALL once we turned it on, little toilet paper and no extra roll (no staff at the desk to get any more, even after ringing bell as desk sign noted), carpeting needed swept around edges, poor breakfast choices and quantities of items.

Where to begin? After a long day on the road, all I really wanted was a hot shower. Hot, was not even nearly what was achieved. If the water made it to body temperature I would be surprised. When I got out I grabbed a towel and started to dry off only to find what looked like a blood stain on the towel. More blood stains on the blankets as well as other unidentified stains. It made me want to sleep in my car which I had spent 12 hours in already today. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I should have spent the extra 20$ and gotten a better name hotel chain... live and learn I guess. Never again.

No heat in the room until someone checks in at that point it takes several hours to get warm. Used my hairdryer to get the sheets warm enough to get in bed. Had to ask for towels and washcloths. Some of the bottle of toiletries were half empty so assumed they had been used. The lady at the desk was kind enough to give us an extra comforter to use while the heat was trying to kick in. Will never use this hotel again.

There was a problem at checkin with the computer had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and fix the computer. He was very friendly and when I wasn’t satisfied with the cleanliness of my room he readily moved me to another and apologized. The room was ok but needs remodeling. The floor wasn’t vacuumed very well and the room had an odd smell but was otherwise clean. The microwave did not work. It was ok for a 1 night stay

The hotel staff was very nice. Our room was terribly nasty. She took us to three different rooms before we got to one that we could deal with for the night. Had bad musky smell, no pillow cases and pillows thrown in a pile. Carpet was very nasty. The toilet still had toilet paper in it as well as unclean shower, the second room was not much better with fecies on the shower contain even. The dehumidifier in room was overflown onto counter. All in all it was nasty. We about left immediately. The lady at the desk then took us to different rooms till we got to one that worked. She did her best to work with us and apologized as we were in rooms that are not normally rented out to customers as often and it been a bit before they been cleaned if at all. At the end, this was reported to the management and they promised it was being resolved and not happen again. Our rooms were bad and would never had stayed but the staff was super nice and I do feel this is a one time occurrence. We only stayed the one night as it was late and left the very next day and forfeited our stay as we were supposed to stay longer.

The staff was very friendly. Rooms clean and everything worked good. The hotel is in the middle of renovations so there are rooms being worked on. I would advise to try and get a room that has completed renovation...mattresses are more comfortable. I've stayed here 2 times now. Staff is really sweet. Huddle House across the road, nice folks there as well. Good budget choice!

Owners were very ice. Room.was very clean and comfortable! I was very surprised at how nice the beds were made up with pretty comforters and the sheets were incredibly soft and pillows were soft...not like the stiff hard ones. The tv was a nice size, bathroom clean and love made up wash cloths. Im afraid to brag about the place because then they may raise prices. But, for a chain hotel with cheaper prices i was VERY impressed with my room.

Had weekend stay while traveling, booked a double queen bed room. When first arriving at the room, the toilet would not stop running. Then proceeded to find a bedbug under the pillow. Went to the front desk to inform them and they provided us a new room, which was a single king bed but they had no other rooms available. They offered no discount for the issues, or gave us back the money we paid for the early check-in for our troubles. The second room key wouldn’t work and maintenance had to fix it. The second room’s toilet wouldn’t stop running either, and the bathroom fan sounded like a chopper…it was so loud. Overall the staff was kind and the second room was much cleaner. Not a 10/10 stay, won’t be staying here again, but it was a good enough stay for what we needed it to be for this weekend.
