Monument Inn is an older motel but clean & well maintained with a friendly staff. The room I stayed in was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. I especially like the outdoor gazebo area since I am a smoker. It has everything I need for a comfortable stay.

This is ok place for last resort. Would be better if there were certain rooms that pets were allowed. Need to have pet free rooms for people that have allergies to pets. This MUST be stated in website. Not stated as a pet free room. Coffee was horrible & breakfast wasn’t the greatest. Staff were friendly & polite.

Sheets have not been replaced in decades I'm thinking. They were thread bare!
Bathtub was not properly cleaned
Staff, when I could actually find one, would not help me modify my booking, so I ended up paying for 2 nights instead of just one.
This use to be a nice place to stay, but now I wouldn't recommend.

We were very happy with our stay here. From check-in to check out the clerk working was very helpful and friendly. The overall property was very clean as well as our room. The bed is comfortable. It was very quiet during our stay. The free breakfast is nothing great but it was free. Overall, we we’re very pleased with our stay and would stay here again.

All the electrial outlets in the room were loose, no matter what we plugged in, most of the time, they did not stay plugged in. Need more outlets for devices to be plugged in. You need to put in comfort height toilets. There was a board lose where the heater is. Breakfast was bland. ALso need grab bars in the shower.

Desk manager, couldn’t give more than 2 additional pillows to the 2 that were in the room. Seemed odd. 1 small bar of soap and I small packet of shampoo. Rooms walls damaged , seems funny. Desk manager talking and hanging out with boyfriend. Odd guy walking around motel and the surrounding area as well as parking lot. Sketchy place. Don’t believe reviews on breakfast.
Don’t do it to your self. Stay somewhere else.

We had a problem with the bathroom light but they switched us to another room without any hassle. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It's not the fanciest motel but it's an excellent value for the money spent. I have stayed there a number of times and will do so again in the future!

It's a wonderful hotel the staff was okay the breakfast was good The rooms were good beds were a little firmer than I like but my wife loved it My only real complaint is the toilets feel like you're sitting on the floor and are not meant for larger people they definitely need to update their toilets no it sounds like a petty thing to complain about but other than that love the hotel stay there a couple times and it's been wonderful every time beautiful park right next door easy parking

I wasn't expecting a top notch 5 Star ⭐ hotel because of the low grade it has and the many bad comments.It appears the hotel is understaffed.
My room smelled as if a dog had a real big bowel movement and the carpet wasn't deodorizer.
apparently the hotel was full and I couldn't get another room. I slept really happy and comfortable in total silence despite the stench. The walls are not sound proof but the entire night was quiet.
I woke up a bit late, but within the breakfast time.

There was no food for me, that really was unfortunate.
The regular coffee was out but the decaf was delicious.
Again the hotel was sold out during my stay.
Thehotel is extremely clean and the washer and dryer work perfectly fine.
It's 2 dollars per cycle, that is okay.
Everyone is courteous and really friendly.
Everyone working there goes out of their way to make sure the guests receive 5 Star service.
No pool here but it does have a fitness center/
The machines wor it's a pretty cool
There is a market across the street, the civic center is on the same corner.
A Catholic Church is two streets away and a bowling alley is also near.
A subway sandwiches shop is a few minutes walk.
The amphitheater is also near. A bakery and bar, a gas station are within walking distance.
My room has a kitchenette. The toilet is a tall one.
No bathtub but the shower is splendid.
The room has lots of lights, it has a good size color television. No safeThe blankets are soft and warm. An iron and coffeemaker

Looks are deceiving

Wanted to watch the local channels. No instructions on how to obtain. After trying several times, tried calling the front desk. The phone in the room didn’t work. Called from my cell & explained the issue. The gal noted there had been a report of local channels being out. The earliest of would be fixed would be after we left.
The mattress was so worn you rolled to the center.
The commode in the bathroom was loose & low to the ground. Soap dispenser didn’t work at all.
Overall, it looks clean…but I would not recommend it!

Checked me into room 103; which after I had showered and prepared for bed, I found had a window that did not lock even though it showed locked and also a broken screen. They had nothing to remedy it - actually brought me a broken plastic food tray, which, even if we put it in there, left a gap that anyone could’ve climbed through and most likely would have shattered had the window been slammed against it.

As I was on the ground floor, I had to demand a different room. She did not offer to help me move rooms and said that the room was inspected every day (but that is hard to believe since screen appeared to have been broken for some time). Super disappointed, expect to be out here yearly and had hoped I found a gem. The outside door nearest me propped open by a rock, and when I asked if they had security or someone who walked through to check, she said the rock had a purpose to hold down some plastic?? Did not see any plastic.

Wish I’d just demanded my money back as it appears the town has plenty of rooms available. Safety is more important than saving a few dollars!

She took pictures of the window and screen so I did as well, but I don’t see a way to post those for you. Thought that seemed a little ridiculous to waste my time telling me she’s going to take care of it. And with so few guests, customer service is definitely lacking. Makes me sad, 40 years ago, I was the night clerk at a hotel in Omaha NE and customer service was number one.

My room was dusty. The air conditioning was incredibly noisy. If you’d like, I can provide a video. The bed was comfy but the air conditioner’s noise impaired the ability to sleep. The breakfast was scrambled eggs, French toast or a waffle. However, the waffle mix came after we ate breakfast. No yogurt available. I’ve stayed there before and was very disappointed this time

The eco-friendly vibe was okay but the fan/AC sounded like a deck of cards caught in a bicycle wheel, which is great for a midnight percussion concert, not so great for sleep. 🌿 Also, 4 guests apparently only deserve 3 towels. Next time, I’ll bring earplugs and my own towel. 😊

This is a nice hotel to stay. Checkin was easy and staff was friendly. The room was large and clean. Good breakfast in the morning. The only negative was at breakfast in the morning. The staff member working in the breakfast area was rude. My husband hadn't used the waffle machine before and didn't understand why it was beeping. The staff member turned the machine over to start cooking the waffle and looked at my husband rudely not saying anything or explaining what to do with the machine.

Good size clean bedrooms but dated . Bathrooms dated but clean - only one sachet of shampoo and a bar of soap for three people . No tea - just coffee . No change given for laundry machines . Breakfast ok - but not much choice and again no hot water for tea- just an empty kettle. Ok as an overnight stop but improvements could be made.

I booked two rooms. The first room had no problems BUT the second room had bed bugs! Management never called my sister in law back on the day front desk was notified of the problem. Eventually she got a room change for the night. Upon checkout we were told the boss would call and she did. Offered a discount on next stay.
Breakfast was mediocre- didn’t expect something great and expectations were met.
Unfortunately the establishment has lost the business of brother in law and sister in law after ten years of patronage.

We stayed for 7 days. They only cleaned the room once if you could call that a cleaning. We got fresh towels and trash taken out that was it. We had requested to have it cleaned at least 3 times (when we arrived we found food crumbs in the dresser drawer this was never cleaned)
The room had a kitchen area (sink and microwave) but no cleaning supplies or utensils. The coffee pot was full of coffee grounds in the basket.
We have stayed there in the past and it was nothing at all like this. We would not recommend this hotel.

Great trip to Gering! Our stay at Monuments was without incident, which was appreciated after a long day on the road. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a bit spartan but the necessities were met and I enjoyed it very much.
