En primer lugar si el establecimiento dice que ofrece el transporte desde el aeropuerto al hotel debe preguntar si está incluido o no ..a nosotros nunca nos dijeron que había que pagar el servicio y la respuesta de “lógico” de la recepcionista que nos atendió no nos gustó para nada…y en segundo lugar nunca permitas que te alojen en el segundo o tercer piso el ruido de la calle y de los Airbnb alrededor nunca nos dejaba dormir y solo se resolvía con movernos a una habitación más arriba..después de estos inconvenientes la estadía estuvo bien

The hotel is a good deal for the price. Staff is helpful and courteous, it has a good location and breakfast is included. Some things to note is that the rooms are on the small side and sparsely furnished (it is not a major hotel chain, so keep that in mind), the beds were very firm and there were only a few outlets to charge your electronic devices. Also, although it’s location is good (steps away from a supermarket, restaurants and bars, a few blocks from the metro), it can get loud at night (discotecas are right near by - download a white noise app if you are a light sleeper- we slept fine, but we were also exhausted).. it would be helpful if you could speak Spanish to facilitate any requests you might have.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Hotel Vivre as an avid traveler and would definitely stay there again. The experience was delightful, from the attentive service to the comfortable accommodations. However, it's worth noting that there is an additional charge for having friends come over, which would be helpful to know upfront.

The staff were super attentive and nice, the room was large and very clean and the location is beyond perfect! Right on La Sententa while still being quiet enough to get a great sleep. The only small downside are the windows face into a stairwell (which did have windows to the outside), but it didn't bother us much and the upsides to this hotel totally make up for it!

The location is great. About 10 min walk to a subway. It is right off of a main road, across from a supermarket and many options for food outside yoir door. The room was clean and spacious. The staff is very friendly and help with tour options, and taxis and anything else you need. The only complaint I have was that the music of the nearby bars was loud so in the night it was a little hard to sleep, but other than that everything was great!

The room was very nice and clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helped with everything they could. Breakfast was also good - in general, great value for the money. One down side is the location; the hotel is close to bars/restaurants that stay open until late, so you hear a lot of noise during the night. I was in the 8th floor and even from there I could hear the noise/music every single day, even during weekdays.

I love this hotel, I’ve stayed here several times, the staff are very helpful and friendly, rooms are ok but it depends on what floor your on. My latest stay we were on the 9th floor…however every morning about 5am something kicks in and makes a humming vibration through our room. Which woke me up every time… not needed after a 14hr flight… apart from that it’s a great little hotel .

Hotel Vivre is in a super convenient location in terms of shopping options and eating options. It is located near La 70, which is a main party avenue in Medellin. It can get loud. Down the street there is a large university and that feeds younger crowds to the vibe. The hotel is much nicer looking than the neighborhood. One opportunity for the Vivre hotel is to replace the current windows with double pane or something much more noise resistant. I was on the 9th floor and there was no way to escape the party noise. Other than that, it is a fantastic option of you are in the area.

i visit medellin 5 to 6 times a year for the last 5 years, i love the city and the people, this hotel visit was my worst stay, first the tv didn't work, they said it was working when i checked in, i wanted to watch the national team play football, when i arrived in the room the tv was not working, i asked the front desk, they said it would be fixed the next day, never fixed and i stayed two complete weeks, when i checked out they said i would need to pay 150000 pesos for smoking marijuana in the room, i told them i don't smoke weed, drink achohol or any other drugs, the front desk said people smelled it. i just looked at them, walked out of the hotel, said thankyou and they just gave me a dirty look, just wonder if the clerk would have just pocketed the money for himself, please, get your intergrity together, move forward, tell the truth to the guests, your reputation depends on honesty.

I love this hotel, it’s right on top the main strip in laureles .
This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed here. Staff are always friendly and very helpful
Breakfast is nice (it’s not heavy) it’s just the right balance to kick start the day
The rooms aren’t the biggest but that’s never been an issue for me and my Mrs .

The staff is great and very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean close to everything , restaurants , metro , park . The area is very safe . I traveled solo , i had no issues taking daily walks in the morning. I had one minor issues with the bed mattress it was very hard , however the hotel staff placed a pillow top and it solved the problem i slept like a baby for the entire week . I will be returning soon

A great, beautiful and clean hotel in a nice area in Laureles with excellent service. It is too bad they placed me in the worst possible room in the entire hotel, on the 2nd floor facing the noisy street with a bar that played loud music until the middle of the night. I didn't sleep well at all.

There is loud noise emanating from the kitchen every morning starting about 4:30 am and it resounds and echoes throughout the entire section of rooms which are in close proximity to the kitchen. It is ongoing and sounds like drilling construction. On top of it you can hear the workers shouting at one another as if trying their best to make as much noise as possible. This is the most poorly designed hotel as far a sound is concerned that I've ever stayed at. I requested a room to a higher floor, (which I had originally done but the request was ignored) before I could get any sleep. The bed is so hard that I developed back/leg muscular problems over the course of the week. When the cleaners are doing the rooms you can hear them talking loudly in the hall ways through the closed door. This is a 3 star hotel at best and compares to an Inn in the USA.

Not all staff spoke English, which made it a little difficult, but not impossible. Hotel was in a great location (walking distance to the Estadio metro station) and lots of cute shops and restaurants nearby.

I won't be staying at Hotel Vivre again, and that's unfortunate as I travel to Colombia 2 to 3 times yearly and had the privilege of living and teaching in that wonderful country many years ago.

The Positive(s):
--Breakfast is included -- the soups are excellent.
--The room was clean and orderly. Room service was excellent.
--The staff was, for the most part, courteous.

The Negative(s):
--Beds are hard. This is typical for my experience(s) in Latin America.
--The suite is actually small, and shouldn't be advertised as such.
--No hot water in the bathroom sink. There was hot water in the shower.
--No English. Unless you are a native Spanish speaker expect some some confusion and misunderstandings.
--Big issue -- see below.

The hotel charged me an extra $70.00 USD for Pax Adicional, an additional guest fee. I have friends from years gone by and I like to invite them to the room for drinks and dinner, a quiet experience. My reservation, per Orbitz, was for 1 person, a suite. I had guests in the room on multiple occasions. I was told at the front desk, while and after entertaining, there would be an additional 70,000 Colombian pesos charge (roughly $25 USD) each time someone else entered my room, even only briefly -- I had no overnight guests. I've never experienced this in Colombia, and was left confused and disappointed. The total charge for guests was an additiona 210,000 COP (roughly $70 USD). While the sum was small, the principal of the issue stands. I paid the charge,
