Stayed here for my business trip, location wise it is convenient to explore Surabaya west area. Room is clean and spacious, they have a really wide range of variations for breakfast buffet and they all taste good and authentic for the local options.
All the staffs are nice, friendly and helpful, from the front office, restaurant even housekeeping.

The hotel so basic, dirty carpet/ old and lot dusk/ crumb behind the curtain.
I didn't expect this as Fairfield manage by Marriott. I had few time in different city and all much better. And some distance from amenities.

Great staff members, especially front desk. Housekeeping on 10th floor was perfect.
Only issue was dinner at the restaurant. Family of 5 and one dish delivered with long waiting periods. Food was of very poor quality and taste. Family finished their meals before my roast chicken was delivered. The chicken was tough and undercooked, upsetting my stomach overnight.
Next day, a customer on my floor returned his chicken untouched to the front desk complaining how hard the chicken was.

Banyak hal yang diluar expectasi saat mengunjungi hotel ini dengan logo marriot di dalamnya. Mulai dari masuk di pintu dimana satpam dan parkir tidak bs mengidentifikasi driver saya yang sudah menginap duluan dan berdebat soal karcis di subuh hari hingga ketika perasaan masuk properti yang masih kurang berkesan mewah. beberapa sudut dan detail teresan seadanya dan kurang bersih, nampak jarang dibersihkan, Masuk keruangan yang kurang terasa nyaman dan bahkan ada keramik di depan wastafel di toilet yg naik, jadi sunggu kurang terawat. Dan yang paling menggelikan adalah, saat sy mau mandi, tidak ada sabun dan sikat gigi yang merupakan barang standard. Padahal sy harus berangkat pagi bekerja. Makanannya banyak namun kualitas resto juga seadanya. dan kebanyakan yang bekerja adalah trainee.

Satu hal yang membuat saya cukup lega adalah tempat tiur, dab bedcover cukup nyaman sehingga saya bisa tidur yang merupakan hal penting dalam perjalanan bisnis

All the staff are very friendly, polite and respectful.
But if you have a car and getting a parking in the garage, you need to get stamp on your ticket for free parking, otherwise they will charge a fee every times come in and out.

Nice hotel, the staff is very helpful. I know they were very busy but we had to wait for our luggage for half an hour, is not good when you have to get ready for an appointment and anything you need is in your luggage.
The light in the bathroom is see trough to your bedroom. It makes someone else awake when you're going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Thr air conditioning could not keep up with the heat and humidity. The small kitchen area was good but needs to be stocked with some dishes and silverware. Also, the bathroom water had a sewer smell.

There was a pretty good selection of both Western and Indonesian dishes on the breakfast buffet. The breads were made fresh and you could get them fresh from the oven.
The room was spacious and clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was good water pressure for tge shower.
The pool was okay, but I didn't really care for the area. It was also near the smoking for the restaurant. While it was outside, I'd rather not be surrounded by smokers.

The hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly staffs around.Location is also conveneient mearby main shopping areas and restaurant.The only less satisfactory was the cafe area that served breakfast,the staffs were very slow in cleanaring the tables and ended up many uncleaned tables were around and guess were just standing around standing amd waiting for the staffs to clear the tables.The hotel may meed more staffs at the cafe during breakfast time in order to speed up the tables for guess to sit instead standing around where tables were available but just not beimg cleaned out.

Fantastic Customer Service!

Great experience at the Fairfield by Marriott. The GM Viktor was incredibly helpful and helped us with a a late check-in and late check-out (6pm) during our stay as we had an overnight tour of Mt. Bromo. All of the staff were incredibly attentive, kind and made our stay above beyond.

It was a pleasant stay and their service is good. Not many good English speaking service officers but communication is still OK with simple English. The room Shower head was not ideal, and it keep falling when the water start pouring down - perhaps a design issue? Overall, the room is clean but no view.

Cold Hotel As A Grave

Noisy room, bad soundproof, because of noise in early morning from the mosque beside the hotel. The room & toilet amenities/items very limited, no comb, no cotton buds, no shoe polish. And the coffee & tea items also has very limited items, only available 2 tea bags, 2 sachet instant coffee, and 2 sugar bag, without any brown sugar, creamer, and diet/low calorie sugar. Its look like 2 star cheap budget hotel room facilities.
The hotel very cold as a grave. No smile, no welcoming from the hotel staff, no bell boy, slow check in, no welcome drink, the duty manager in reception/front desk look like dont understand what his job desc. He just walking around in the front desk but doing nothing.

Good Hotel to choose for visitors visiting Surabaya on short hauls. But i had bad experience to start with when the reception registration desk put me on 11th floor which was totally dark as the lobby lights were totally off. Don't know what were the reasons. I had to come back to the reception and complain. Immediately the staff realised their mistake and put me on the 10th floor. Staff was very courteous and apolozied for their mistake.
