Very disappointed with our stay. We had room 215 and it was right beside the gym. You could clearly hear the treadmill, weights banging and even the verbal screen exercises in our room. This happened all through our stay at night and in the morning. This room should not be sold to anyone. We let the front staff know and they responded with an “oh..sorry about that”.

The staff was incredible, they went out of their way to assist and resolve immediately with any issues we had. Marina, Terina, Gazelle, Nicky and the engineer were all great, incuding the cleaning staff. Breakfast and coffee and fruit were fantastic. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and visit again, if we come into the city.

Great stay overall! I really liked the open bar, and it was a nice bonus that we could request coffee, tea, and other beverages anytime during the day. Shoutout to Giselle for making our coffee perfectly late night! The daily fruit selection was also a nice touch.

We had a little trouble with the Chromecast, but it wasn't a big issue since we ended up watching the live TV channels instead.

Tip: There isn't complimentary bottled water in the room, but there is a water station in the lobby. Just bring a reusable bottle or container to refill throughout your stay. Also, if you need housekeeping, be sure to call and request it, as they don't automatically clean your room each day.

Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location—within walking distance of major landmarks, with a pharmacy and grocery store nearby for added convenience. We'll definitely stay here again the next time we return to Chicago!

Friendly staff. Bathroom needs more hooks to hang clothes and towels, carpet could use more vacuuming, telephone in the room didn’t work, after turning on tv you had to enter the guide button to watch live tv, and always one minute later it went back to wanting you to Chromecast and we had to reset the channel we were watching. The shower curtain was about 1-2 inches too short and every time one showered the floor would get wet unless we turned the shower head toward the wall. The elevator made a grinding noise but we got used to the noise when in the room. No coffee maker or coffee in room but the morning coffee and fruit was nice.
Room was big enough for a queen sized bed which was comfortable .The view was good.
The location was good if you are comfortable with public transportation. E/W bus 66 two blocks north, N/S bus 22 was 1/2 block away and N/S bus 156 was 1/2 block away. The L red train about 4 blocks away by walking alone. All in all I would recommend this hotel if you plan for it’s known limitations.

Great experience. Lobby area is a tad small but love to see the hustle and bustle of guests downstairs enjoying the amenities. Rooms were clean and definitely utilize our drink and breakfast coupons. We loved Emma as she was attending to us most days. Raymond I think at check-in was also quite helpful.

This hotel is not what I expected at all, it’s not like it was any cheaper in price. It’s very old and really needs renovations. I stayed four nights, and this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed at that did not clean your room or change your linens. No coffee machine in the room, fridge, or microwave. They did offer free coffee if you asked at the bar, which by the way, they would have to leave the front desk to serve at the bar. As I said, not what I expected at all.

The hotel itself was good (albeit tiny rooms with no refrigerator) the staff was pleasant, the free drinks were a nice touch, however I took a huge issue with the fact that the hotel charges $5 per bag + tax to store your bags after check out. I've traveled all over the United States, to Canada, to France and Germany and have never encountered this before. Because of this charge I will sadly be one and done with Hotel Felix. It's not about the cost as much as the fact that I have never encountered this before, was not informed about this charge at check in and nowhere on Hotels.com did I see any mention of the fee. With that, the front desk attendant was very understanding about the fee, which I understand is not a policy that she implemented. Do better, Hotel Felix!

Overall, the hotel was okay for the price, but pretty basic. The room was very simple and lacked some expected amenities—there were no slippers provided, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the area around the bed wasn’t very clean, which affected the overall experience.

I paid $170 per night, and for that price, I expected a bit more attention to cleanliness and comfort. It’s not terrible, but definitely not great either.

They only got the 1 star because it made us! Their customer service was nasty, when we arrived we had a bug in our bed and they wouldn’t let Ben replace the room just replied oh. The room was literally a shoe box, no fridge, no microwave, no cups for ice yet an ice bucket in the room. When we asked for clean towels and wash cloths their staff frowned and took awhile to deliver it. Parking was $74.00 per 24 hours. We needed more bathroom tissue when we asked we were given 1 roll. Let me say when we arrived there was only 1 roll in the room. We checked in with the manager PLEASE BE ADVISED THIS HOTEL IS NOT FRIENDLY, WELCOMING AND DOES NOT DESERVE ANYONES BUSINESS. Everyone we encountered felt how we did. Don’t waste your money here $1700.00 for bull. We bumped our legs on the edge of the bed that’s how tight it was trying to get from one side of the room to the bathroom. Close them DOWN!😡

I believe the price increased once we were there. Also recd an email a few days before our check in telling us that an additional “Daily Urban fee”fee of $26 would be added to our bill for fruit and coffee in the morning. Fruit choices were, bananas, apple and nectarines. Coffee was no big deal. Seems a little steep for what was provided.
Bathroom sink was very small and only about 2 inches deep. Unable to avoid water splashing during every use unless you use a trickle of water. No room to put any toiletries I was going to use. Had to use the small shelves over the toilet. Not comfortable doing that…😳. Also no where to hang my towel while showering. I would have to step out of the shower onto use my towel because it would be hanging on the back of the door. Rooms were small for the price we paid.

This hotel felt like I stepped a time machine back to 2004 aesthetics, but for premium hotel prices... at least for the time of my visit. My first room I was moved out of due to lack of cleanliness, and the second room wasn't much better, but at least it didn't have dirty carpet. Also hotel guests walking around barefoot in the lobby? The whole experience was bizarre. Staff was polite and did their best.

The Hotel Felix was just ok. We couldn't get to sleep at night because of cars loudly racing all night long, every night. We were on the 11th floor and it sounded like they were right there. Also, the tv casting would not work in our room. Was super annoying. The Hotel itself and also the parking was more money than the Godfrey right next door, which we liked way better.

It was sufficient. It felt clean, but it did not feel luxurious. The main benefit came from the location. Walkability is high. It was bare-bones. The soap dispenser didn’t have enough for a two night stay. Tv was hard to use. If you are out exploring the city, this hotel is fine. If you are basing your experience on the hotel itself (like a staycation), I think you will be disappointed.

The location was great for our purposes, there were plenty of food options near by and the complementary fruit and coffee/tea in the morning was very helpful to get our day started. We felt specially welcomed by Crystal at the front desk. Her friendly personality will be forever remembered as one of the highlights of a wonderful trip.

Hotel allows loud room parties. A party on the floor I was staying on started at 2:30 and went on until 4:30am on a Wednesday night. Loud voices (not even trying to be quiet) in the hallways, doors slamming going back and forth from rooms. Not even sure these were registered hotel guests as many sounded to be leaving on the elevators at 4:30am after the second time I called the front desk. The first time I called, someone came up and the party settled down for maybe 30-40 minutes, then just mumbled noise, I fell asleep, then they were up and about again, loud and doors slamming. Thought it might stop... it did not. Called the front desk again. Someone was sent up, this time they were so loud you could actually hear someone arguing with the hotel rep. About 30 minutes later after just falling asleep again, the voices and doors slammed for a couple minutes and they were catching the elevator as the elevator was making dinging noises. I selected a hotel for a 2 night business trip, mid-week. I needed sleep as I was adjusting for time zones. Both mornings needing to be up by 5:30am. Th

-outdated hallways and elevators
-3rd party valet service so the front desk will not help you at all with them
-one one valet (who was so sweet) but it was a 45 min wait if you wanted your car

It truly just reminds me of how greedy the hotel owners are

The front foyer had beautiful glass bulbs that were very dusty and dirty. Not a good first impression
Housekeeping or room service could have been disclosed for 4 nights garbage build up Also notice we had no bathroom hooks to hang wet towels just one towel bar.
Bed was comfortable and linens were fine.

What a cute hotel right in the middle of everything. The staff is great, the location is ideal, and it's a walking distance to Magnificent Mile, Oak St beach (very popular in the summer!) Navy Pier and many other things. My sleep quality was excellent. Love the seating area/coffee/bar on the ground floor. Only gripes: Sometimes the internet is not the strongest. And checkout is noon, but housekeeping starts knocking at 11am. Other than that, everything was great.

We had an appalling stay. We arrived late-ish - around 11pm - due to a delayed flight. Only to discover the hotel had over-sold the rooms. They did not have the room we had booked - and paid for - (a king bed on high floor) as they had sold it. Instead we were put in a tiny room with a Queen bed, not much more than a store cupboard. The staff were largely unapologetic and did not seem to really care. They suggested that - if we had arrived much later - all the rooms would have been occupied and we would have had to go elsewhere. It was astonishing. Others guests arrived to check-in after us, and were told there were no rooms available. The staff offered us some drinks tokens (which already came with the booking!) and to waive the urban fee for one night. No real apology. No compensation. The next day we managed to move to the room we had booked, but staff were not very helpful in making this happen. Overall a shocking and terrible experience. I would strongly recommend people DO NOT STAY there.

First I was thinking that the hotel is a good place. The location was very good close to tourist attractions.
The room I had reserved was on top floor which I was expecting a view but the room had a small window facing some other building rooms.the room had issues at the beginning which was the toilet was wobbly and I saw a bug on the ceiling plus some spider web.
The main issue was at the last night of the stay the AC of the hotel was not working and after several calls someone came and said it’s fixed and after they left the issue was not fixed and after calling the front desk 10 times I had to go down at midnight to see no one was there.
The next day after having a bad night sweating I went to talk to the manager she was so unreasonable telling me that the issue was due to weather and they will be able to give us a very little compensation which didn’t make sense to me as I couldn’t sleep the whole night.
Anyway do a better search and ont pay $300 for a night with this problems

Hotel Felix was in a fantastic location. The staff were very friendly. Our room on the 9th floor with 2 double beds was small, with only a mini fridge. The curtains were old and difficult to open and close. The WiFi would drop or was very slow. The television also provided issues, turning off or to the starting screen, multiple times.
The hotel offered only coffee/tea and fresh fruit until 9am.
The staff made our stay more enjoyable.

This hotel was quite lackluster. The lobby was pretty, but the rooms were very bare bones. It was lacking things that are very standard across the board with hotels such as lotion in the room, lighting by the bed- there were no lamps by the bed and the only light switch for the whole room was all the way down a hall so I had to use a flashlight to get back to bed, no mini fridge in the room, bad bathroom lighting, and no surface area in the bathroom to put anything down. The AC kept turning itself off automatically, including when I was sleeping. The lobby was also not air conditioned, or maybe it was malfunctioning? They did provide free waters (not cold) and free espresso drinks, which was a nice touch. Overall, if I paid $150 a night, I would deal, but they were charging a small fortune for what felt like a crappy motel room. The location was walk able and nice.

The staff was fantastic. Our plane arrived late, we were starving, didn’t know where to go or even have a plan, and the staff jumped right in and directed us to the perfect place: Portillo’s. They came up with lots of great suggestions that fit exactly what we wanted to do and where to eat. The rates were very reasonable, it’s situated in the middle of downtown, lots of restaurants on the same block, and plenty of Chicago nightlife. I would definitely stay there again.

My room was just okay. Location is great. Water pressure is just ok. Sink drain was stuck closed had to pry it out and leave it out all weekend. Shower design is goofy, water sprays all over the floor lol. The sink faucet was bizarre. Had like 2-3 inches under the water before your hands hit the sink? Almost zero place to put anything in the bathroom. Had a pedestal style sink, but a cheap vanity top from Home Depot would’ve been miles better. No idea why they went with this design. Nightstand drawer just casually stays open all the time. Other than that it was pretty decent. No major issues.

Location was great for site seeing. Bed was comfortable but only a thin blanket and most distressing for us was no coffee pot in the room. They do provide free coffee in the lobby that was good and free fruit (apples, bananas, oranges) so that was nice but no coffee in the room is just a bummer. Plus, street noise was significant all night but assuming that would be anywhere downtown. Overall was fine but wouldn't stay again.

Our room was directly next to the elevators and it was very noisy all night long. The AC would not go below a certain temperature and it was very warm in the room all night no matter how low the temperature was placed. The room was very small and did not provide a lot of comfort.
