We were unable to travel to Bali due to the war in Iran. All our flights were cancelled by the airline and this resort refused to refund our money over a week in advance of our scheduled stay. I don’t understand a policy that does not recognize war as an exceptional circumstance and disregards the safety of its traveling guests.

We stayed here for the entire duration of our trip. The location was perfect as it is secluded and peaceful. We looked out to the jungle from our villa. The staff was always attentive and professional. The pool was always clean. The room was always clean as well.
We also dined here a majority of the time, we never ran out of options and the staff offered to make us something new for breakfast if we were bored with the menu, but we were very happy with the large selection.
There is lizards you will see around the property, we only had one enter our villa the entire time we were there but it quickly left. As we showed the staff the photo (because we thought it was cool) they asked if we needed help removing it. They were always willing to help us with anything we needed and also provided some educational information regarding the area and religion which was very neat. If we have a chance to go back to Bali we would stay here again.

This trip was for our honeymoon. Upon arrival great customer service, I mean phenomenal customer service everyday.

Villas- We stayed in villa #6, I wasn’t pleased with this villa. The cleanliness inside the bedroom area I would give a 7, the bathroom area 8, but the tub outside a 3 because of the layout and visibly dirty, we did not use the tub none of the days.

The outside lounge bed 3 in cleanliness, the pool a 3, visibly dirty and mildew. We did not use the pool for non of the days as will.

Now, we understand everything is majority outside and in the wild but they need to understand this is more of a reason to keep things clean on a regular. Villa #6 outside layout and bathroom tub area is made weird. The outside bed area faces the villa and you can really view the forest in the back, plus it’s surrounded by so much plants coming over onto the bed area which cause the bed to have plenty insects and ants. You wouldn’t be able to lay relaxed. I think the space should be open with a fan up top and plants trimmed or push away. This would help. Same thing with the tub area, plants growing over on to the tub, this area needs to be open, like other villas and the need to pressure clean the mildew walls.

Now, the food is good. I give it a 8. We mostly had breakfast.

This Villa is perfect for couples. I can say it's super romantic and intimate. Very clean, Mother Nature is all around it lots of trees. There are 8 villas on the property. There's nothing else but if you're ok with the beautiful villa only then it's perfect. The staff is amazing very friendly and helpful. I loved all of them very kind people. Only downside is it is out in the middle of nowhere. We hired drivers everyday which wasn't a big deal. But I would have loved if they had more around the Villa. It's close to ubud market shop which is great too about a 20 min drive. All in all great place

What a great place. Away from the center of Ubud (Shuttle available) means it is quiet and tranquil. The Cilla we had (upgraded to 2 Bedroom President Villa) was spacious, well equipped and clean. Nice private pool. We had the floating lunch and the poolside candlelit dinner, and the food was delicious.

The breakfast was fresh and made to order which I loved. The staff is very friendly and there to assist with anything you may need. I really enjoyed my stay here it was hard to leave. Omg, the BED AND PILLOWS was soooo comfortable... I believe they were made straight from heaven.... That bed was the best so big and comfortable. I still want those pillows.... the best sleep I've had. My driver side said its hard to drive througg from the entrance. Its such a tight space to fit in with a car or truck. Everything was great.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom Presidential Villa. The Villa did not disappoint. The staff was the best. They went way beyond what was expected to make sure we had everything that we needed and more. They were genuinely happy that we were there and it showed. They treated us like family and royalty (all of them). The food was delicious. On site chef did a marvelous job! Lets start with The staff…amazing…We’ve travelled throughout the world. I wish I could give 10 🌠 The absolute most genuine friendly people are the Balinese. This hotel has gathered some of the finest of the island. The management is on top of every need or concern if any. We fell in love with their warmth. Impeccable service.

Now for the room and hotel…as soon as you get there they place a wonderful glass of goodness into your hands with a welcoming smile. Fresh cool blended lime mint juice stimulates your senses as you get checked in with efficiency. They upgraded our room without asking…Whatt!!😍…when does that happen. The walkway pictured greets you and as you enter the villa you smell the soft fragrance of flowers. The room was spotless and smelled amazing which sometimes is difficult to maintain in the tropics. They perfected it.

The area has some walkable restaurants or just eat there as they have gourmet chefs delivering tasty cuisine..You get to walk through rice terraced paths to adventure if you choose. We stayed for three days and ate at the restaurant every day and were never disappointed. Australian tenderloin or fresh fish. Vegetarian delights or Indonesian dishes they have a great menu.

We had three couple massages in our room that left us in a jelly state of relaxation. Which is what the entire experience was..

Huge thanks to the Anusura Luxury Villa team. Ayu, Rika, Dewa, Wayan, Komang, Widi, Anik, and Chef Nyoman and Eka. They are all part of a wonderful team that work tirelessly to ensure their guests are well taken care of in every little detail of their stay. It was our special anniversary vacation, and this team went out of their way to make sure every aspect of our visit went as smoothly as possible. They are all kind and warm in their interactions with guests and provided vast knowledge of tour packages and local amenities which made our stay smooth and interesting. The Villas are kept in wonderful condition and are set in a very private, relaxing and scenic environment. While this Villa only has a couple of rooms with views. What sets our stay apart here was the warm and excellent care of our team on our visit each and every day without exception. The kitchen staff go out of their way to ensure the food is delicious and might even mix up the menu for you if you stay long enough to keep things interesting. Shuttles and poolside massages are all well organized in a timely manner. Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable visit! We are sure to recommend this resort to our friends and family for a relaxing stay in the Ubud area. It's in a prime location near the centre of Ubud and is in a great location to reach most attractions on the entire island of Bali in a reasonable time. We hope to return here in the near future. A little Haven in the Padi Fields

First time staying there for 4 nights. Awesome! Hubby & I enjoyed it so much. For adults only so pretty quiet in the middle of the padi fields. That being said, plenty of little creatures for company but that is to be expected in a village style accommodation; though upscale.
Nothing around but nature; which we loved.
Ubud center is about 15 mins away but with shuttle service available we have no complaints. Driver/ Butler is knowledgeable & a good driver. Also help me get some fruits I wanted. Thanks Wayan!😄
Riki the receptionist is so helpful, friendly & personable. Hi Rika! Hope to see you all soon. All wait staff was so sweet, welcoming & spoke good English. Hi girls! Can’t wait to be back.☺️
BTW, the food is fantabulous!! I actually find myself wanting to go back to our little sanctuary for dinner instead of eating out in Ubud. Mashaallah! So goooood!
Breakfasts were phenomenal! We were spoilt there.
No need to second guess… we will stay there again for sure.

What a fantastic stay at Anusara! From the start, we’re picked up by Agung who was so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. He drove us around Bali for the day seeing the temples, rice fields, fields, monkey forest and Swing Heaven. The staff at the villas was gracious, friendly, and always welcoming and assisting. We had a such a lovely time at the Anusara Resort and I want to give a massive shoutout to all of their staff for making our stay extra special (hopefully I’ve spelt all the names correctly and not missed anyone!); Dewa, Komang, Wayan, Rika, Ayux, Widi, Ika, Nyoman & Ayu.

The villas were lovely and truly luxurious but it’s the staff that makes this place special. Coming back to the villa one day after exploring Ubud to find a lovely birthday message on the bed, to then be met at our villa door with a piece of cake and sang happy birthday was so special and made my day.

Breakfast was one of the best we had during our time in Bali and whilst the restaurant area was under renovation during our stay having it served in the villa around the pool area was a delight. The beds were super comfortable and we loved the outdoor shower area.

The shuttle car into Ubud is super handy and we used it quite a few times, for both drop off and pick up, and it was really easy to get in touch via WhatsApp to request the service.

All in all a 10/10 stay and if we ever come back to Ubud we will definitely stay here again.

Thank you to the whole team for looking after us and making the start of our trip to Bali so memorable!

My wife and I spent the first week of our honeymoon in Bali at the Anusara and had the most amazing experience.

From the minute we arrived, we felt a tremendous sense of community at the resort and were treated like family by all the amazing staff. Rika, Wayan, Dewa, Gusti and the rest of the staff were so amazing to get to know during our stay, and provided amazing insight into Balinese culture; they truly made our stay unforgettable.

If you're looking for a relaxing Balinese experience, then the Anusara is right for you. The villas are nestled within a rice paddy and back onto an amazing jungle setting. There are 8 villas total, but each comes with an amazing private pool, outdoor shower /tub and beautiful rooms. With the proximity to Ubud Centre from the resort, its the perfect blend of sereneness and the action of Ubud.

The resort / villas themselves are a short drive from Ubud Centre (about 10-12 minutes depending on traffic) and the resort provides a free shuttle service into Ubud and back to the resort on a set schedule. Also, for a small, added fee, you can arrange for a different drop off or pickup location outside of the set schedule.

Lastly, highly recommend the breakfast at the resort to start your day, as they have a great kitchen team, and also serve delicious lunch and dinner options!

Already counting down the days that we can come back and stay at the Anusara again 10/10!!!

I stayed in the honeymoon suite (suite 6). The AC blew warm air and the temp could not be adjusted up or down on the remote while the other buttons worked fine on the remote so it wasn’t a battery issue. The property itself is surrounded by trees and rice paddies. Nowhere to walk to in terms of eating or entertainment. You’ll need a car or transportation to go anywhere and it’s a bit out of the way so give lots of extra time given Ubud’s traffic. The breakfast was very nice and staff is friendly. The guy though at check in is a bit too intense. He makes you sit and then proceeds to read you the riot act in a condescending manner.
Overall it’s a nice property but a little inconvenient.

The free shuttle into Ubud central was great.

The villa itself was clean and airy, with air conditioning. The pool and cabana were superb - the water was the perfect temperature to be refreshing. Our tip to enjoying the pool area in comfort is to pack insect repellent.

There is construction noise from next door during the day, but it didn’t bother us.

We would happily go back and will recommend Anusara to our friends and family.

Great place to escape from the bustling city. Good food. Excellent service, everyone do their best to be helpful. The massage by the private pool was the best massage I ever had! Booked a candlelight romantic dinner for our honeymoon and it was lovely!

It’s highly recommended if u stay in Ubud. The hospitality of the staffs are awesome😊, well organized and the villa itself, it feels like home. Special thanks to Artha, my tour guide since the beginning of my tour, a very kind and nice person til my last day in ubud, I’ve learned a lot from him especially the cultures of balinese, the food are all perfect in villa and thanks to Artha for taking me out and had experience almost all of the food in Bali👍til next time, absolutely coming back for sure☺️Godbless!

Great location and beautiful resort with excellent breakfast. The location was quiet and peaceful and close to town without being in the hustle and bustle. The staff was amazing. The shuttle service was convenient to get to town, but the times were limited and drop off location firmly fixed (our driver wouldn’t drop us off to a place that was on the way to the drop off location and we were the only ones in the car) so we ended up having to use Grab a lot.

Anusara was our first hotel/villa in Bali and it was so luxurious and comfortable, as well as quiet. The pool was perfect, as were the 2 showers and huge bath tub. The bed was super comfortable, as was the outdoor pool bed. The massages we got were among the best in our entire 3 week trip to Indonesia. The free breakfast was delicious (get the watermelon juice). The floating breakfast was awesome! The staff was all so kind and genuine. It was just far enough from the center of town, but a close cab ride. If we ever make the 30 hour flight to Bali again, we’d stay here again!

Be careful when booking this property as not all the rooms have a view as we expected , we had room 3 and we thought we would look over the rice paddies but that view has now been replaced by a high wall and villas being built right next door , very disappointing , otherwise it was a great place , but it is 15 minutes north of ubud

10 out of 10 Paradise! The rooms were even more beautiful in person. Having a pool on the private terrace was such an indulgence. The staff went above and beyond for our comfort and happiness. After a long day of touring, we returned to a fant (excel air conditioning) oasis to choose a refreshing dip in the pool, a gentle open-air rain shower, or a leisurely soak in the carved stone tub. We had a massage on the outdoor bed.
Anusara staff shared their culture with us and were curious about ours as well. Miss Agung, Dewa, Wyan, Chyudi, and others made a tasty breakfast included in our rate. We feasted like kings, Indonesian or Western or Vegetarian. Don' miss the fresh blended juices!
The staff was so helpful and friendly. We completely trusted their recommendations, and they told us what to avoid and even recommended a great driver Agung. I liked that they had several full-day and half-day tours that they put together to hit all of the highlights: waterfalls, rice terraces, Sunrise Volcano Hike.

One of the best activities was a cooking class recommended by Dewa - Garlic Bali Cooking Class. We were picked up and brought to the market and taught to choose the freshest ingredients. Then, we returned to the compound for a spotlessly clean, bright, airy class. Everything was laid out to prepare, and we made many courses. The finale was the sharing of the meal we had prepared. Our teacher was very patient, and we learned to respect the skill of the Balinese in cooking.

This was a nice private villa, as 4 adults, the presidential 2 bedroom villa was a good fit. We loved the private pool. The staff was kind and helpful and immediately addressed any concerns that were brought up. They provided a free shuttle with set times, and we were able to travel to downtown Ubud. Their lunch/dinner menu was limited but had enough variety. Overall a great place and we would love to come stay again!

The villa is located in a quiet, peaceful area close to Ubud centre. It provides free shuttle to the Ubud Market. Great breakfast, excellent service, staffs are great. They also have the tour plan and work with the best guides.
I had a great time in Bali all thanks to Anusara!

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of staying at Anusara the 1st week of September. I had read all of the negative reviews before travelling, and here are my thoughts..

Upsides: Anusara is off the beaten path, which was very welcome once you realize how busy Ubud is with tourists. Anusara offers 4 daily shuttles in and out of the city, which was very nice. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and accomodating and didn’t really leave you wanting for anything. The food was tasty, and reasonably priced, and the pool and room were clean and welcoming. There is no further construction immediately around the building, so no worry of anyone seeing you in the pool or bathroom. The breakfasts are delicious and filling! To get a grabcab for a trip somewhere specific, or back, would cost us about $6cdn (68000IDR).

Downsides: the pictures online need to be updated, especially with some of the views now lost due to the other villas built in the area. The overall menu is a little limited, and wait times sometimes a little long, due to the small kitchen.

Summary: absolutely no regrets visiting Anusara. When we wanted diversity with the food, we walked over to the Mango restaurant just up the street. The view from our Villa was spectacular to wake up to every single morning. Would highly recommend, to anyone, for a visit!
