When first booking I had booked the Superior room but when arriving realized for some reason the windows in the room do not open. Being I was staying for two weeks there is no way I could have stayed in a room for that amount of time with no air. The rooms also smelt a little stale from having no air flow. Maybe the windows could be opened and set a lock for the amount it opens if it's a safety issue? I asked to be upgraded to the Junior suite which I loved although I was charged for the night I didn't even stay at the hotel as my flight was cancelled for the upgrade also which I really didn't understand. I had booked the original room the day before so no sure why I was paying for the upgrade I made the next day. Some things around the hotel definitely need attention but the staff is truly what made the stay amazing. They were caring, consistent and ensured every ones needs were met. I really think the cleaners do an amazing job as do the front desk staff you all need an applause for your hard work.

I really liked this hotel. The room was very clean and there were large mirrors which are always useful. The pool was right in the lobby which wasn’t as private as I would have liked and kind of open to just anyone walking past. But overall I would come back.

Very polite and efficient front desks, my water heater and hairdryer were not working and they managed to promptly attend to my requests and send someone to repair within 15mins even it's alrdy late night. Strategic location, walkable to cafes, warungs and spa lounges. Satisfying 4 nights stay with them!

My partner and I had a great stay at the Daun! Overall the room was great, the pool was lovely (and always clean!), the jacuzzi was comfortable, and the happy hour (from 3-10pm!) was an absolute vibe. Above all of this was the standout staff - they were lovely, so helpful, and always smiling.

The things that didn't land our stay at 5/5 were: our shower had a drainage problem which meant we couldn't run the shower for long before the water flowed onto our bathroom floor (a minor issue). The real issue was the caged birds next to the pool- this really bothered us. They had no entertainment in the cage (i.e., toys) and were not at all needed for the environment. It was especially hard to see these poor birds caged when so many joyous free birds were flying in and out of the pool area. Please please please reconsider the need for your caged birds!

Hotel is fine. Housekeeping starts at 8am and is super loud in the hall so even if you have DND on, you will be woken up. Didn’t sleep well the whole two weeks we stayed here. Also, quality of the people staying here wasn’t great and we had guests all down our hall who were banging their doors after midnight, yelling, smoking everywhere in the common areas. We reported this to the staff and just got an apology, so after two times here (mainly bc Seminyak is convenient to go to Canguu, Ubud and the south from) we won’t stay here again. Also, the WiFi was very unreliable. We had to get a SIM card.

I paid for the deluxe suite which is a larger room you pay extra for it the room is completely run down stains on the sofa is a huge black mark on the door when you walk in the shower is not strong there’s also terrible hum from the electrical plant that resonated in my room I figured all the rooms had the same sort of sound so loud The bed was OK pillows were fine service was good the other thing if you’re riding a bike where are you parking can be difficult in the car park as there is so many bikes which is mainly staff bikes and it’s very difficult to park and get out Food is OK it’s not outstanding it’s fine if you have nowhere else to go staff are friendly The parking security guys don’t really help you with your bike I’m trying to find a parking spot that was disappointing when I first arrived

Great hotel for the price! They have a hot tub on the roof too which is a must try! They have sheesha there as well! Great price, rooms are very modern and clean! Service is just fantastic! Breakfast is not bad. Close to this spa called Sundari spa which is a must try for cheap but great massages, we went there twice in 2 days!

Very average to be honest but staff are very nice.

Found it impossible to get in contact with them before arriving and still have no idea how to contact them now that I left something dear to me in my room.

I would have thought someone would try contact me however I’ve heard nothing and numbers online don’t work.

The staff were lovely but they struggled to make a decent cocktail also the room has a lot of wear and tear.

Breakfast was disappointing but the food menu was tasty.

Pool was lovely but rooftop was old looking.

Jacuzzi at the rooftop was amazing. A good ambience to go along with shisha. Room was at 2nd floor, facing the pool. Sadly the door is not so soundproof, able to hear the commotion from the swimming pool. Other than that, stay was good. Scooters, bikes and e-scooters are available for rental at the hotel itself. Very convenient.

The spa on the roof is fantastic especially after being out all day. Breakfast could be better, tried the cornflakes took one mouthful and that was it, couldn't eat any more. Toaster takes forever, you could make yourself a cup of tea while you wait. Linen needs to be replaced, had one pillow case that was terribly stained. Started me wondering about the sheets, towels, etc.

The room wasn’t soundproof. I stayed in room 115 and could hear the traffic. I didn’t know how far it was from the beach. I tried neither the jacuzzis or the pool. I ordered dinner (grilled fish) at the restaurant and it took half an hour for my order to turn up and i was the only guest at that time. Overall, it wa a comfortable stay.

The friendly staff was a real plus. Overall it is a good place to stay but it is a little noisy in the hotel due to the fact every floor is tiled and the noise carries. The smell from the shower when it is turned on was a worry but other than that we enjoyed our stay. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the smiling staff.

Very nice hotel, with very nice large rooms. If you're looking for a nice property at a reasonable cost in Bali, this is it.

The only negative about this property is its location. A taxi or Grab is necessary to go to the small tourist shops and restaurants in the Seminyak area or to the beach.

Good budget choice for Seminyak

Conveniently located on Jalan Petitenget, very close to places like Woobar, Metis, La Luciola and Potatohead.

For the price, the rooms are quite large (larger than the other budget hotels in the area) and well appointed (has a safe, and a fridge that is empty so you can cool your own drinks).

We didn't take breakfast, as we are a bit fussy about coffee. There are plenty of cafes nearby (our favourite is Watercress on Batu Belig).

There is limited parking outside and underground, but if its full, the guys will valet park your car for you.

This is our second stay at Hotel Daun, and it has become our regular spot when coming to Bali. We will be back again soon!

Very disappointed in the service.
After trying several times by email and the online contact form to book an airport pickup with the hotel I was forced to call direct. I provided all the details, date and time of arrival, flight number etc.
Upon arrival no one was there to greet us, after waiting 30 mins we were forced to book a taxi at more than double the original cost.
Eventually arriving after midnight to check in and asking where the taxi had been I was promptly told the taxi had been there and we were not, some 5 hours earlier.
Despite them having obviously written the arrival time back to front but having the correct flight number they didn’t think to check.
Here’s the kicker, they still expected me to pay for the airport pickup and were quite rude in their forceful tone.
Please provide better training to your staff.

Central air-conditioning broke down causing a while block section without air-conditioning, so had to change rooms. Due to room shortage, they upgraded my room type, free-of-charge.

Rooftop Jacuzzi's water seems murky, not sure it is the water source or their cleaning schedule. Swimming pool in ground level looks clear.

Shower head a little faulty for one of my rooms. Same room had feedback of the pillow smelling of the previous tenant's saliva. The mattress, after removing the sheet cover, had some blood stains.

The other room was all ok (except for the air con failure and room change).
Provided toiletries are fine and adequate.

Staff is always friendly.

Myself, my husband & our 18 month old daughter stayed here for 3.5 weeks.
The hotel room we had was the junior suite - huge!! Amazing room for a small family I would definitely recommend that if you have children.
The hotel itself is pleasant it’s hrd for taxi’s to find so make sure you take a card with you that is the address on.
Most hotel reviews I read before booking said the pool never gets sun - this isn’t true. From 11:30am till around 1:30pm daily the sun does go on half of the pool. Beautiful rooftop area where there are two jacuzzi’s, a seating area and a bar. The breakfast is nice although there wasn’t much options compared to most hotels I have stayed at, more variety would be much nicer but the food they do put on is lovely just the same. The cleaners always clean the room to top quality standard and the staff at the hotel are very very friendly - great people!!
Our family joined us through this trip who also stayed at the hotel and they loved it. It’s central to potato head, Mrs sippy and the w hotel (great places to go during the day) and seminyak villiage is 5 mins away. The only thing I would say is bad is on the room behind the sink area there is a metal rod that sticks out (it’s the pipe for the sink plug), it’s pretty dangerous for toddlers, our daughter nearly stabbed herself with it a few times - maybe the hotel can look into fixing these as it’s the same in all rooms.
Overall it’s been a pleasure staying here, will definitely be back. Thank you

I was very pleasantly surprised at the overall quality of my experience at this hotel. Sure, it's not a 5 star hotel, but I don't want to pay for one either. At the end of the day, the room was quiet, the bed was big and comfortable, the room was serviced each day. The pool was very nice, as was the roof top bar and jacuzzi. The dining facilities were of a good standard. Above all else, the staff were very obliging, friendly, and more than eager to assist with any matter. I wouldn't hesitate to return here again.

Fantastic staff, nice and nothing was too much trouble. Location is great, thats why we picked it. Price was fantastic. We didn't have breakfast there but looked good. Room was really nice. Was a decent enough hotel since I was just staying a night. Check in took awhile and I had trouble connecting to the wifi. It's affordable enough and close to the seminyak shopping areas. They are trying to go green so everything is on the TV including room service menu. That was abit complicated since I wasn't sure which buttons to press and it kept hanging. But overall it's a decent hotel for the price point.

Not a bad walking distance from seminyak square about 15-20 mins, but we didn’t mind as we enjoy walking. Cabs shouldn’t be more than 20k rup though, if you prefer to cab it. Really nice bars and restaurants near by, we recommend “Rumours” for a nice atmosphere, excellent food & good music. the hotel was very clean, staff were amazing and accommodating. We didn’t try the breakfast as we thought the variety wasn’t enough especially for the price. Our only negative is that you have to pay for the jacuzzi and we waited 2 hours to use it but gave up waiting (even though no one was using it, they just kept saying it’s not open yet). The hotel is nice for a short stay.

too noisy

The hotel is good overall. Very clean and great staff but if you like your sleep avoid this hotel. Noise was coming from everywhere! This hotel is not noise proof! noisy pipes, screaming kids, loud staff member! We stayed for 5 nights and could not sleep properly even for 1 night! You need to bring proper ear pluggs if you are choosing this place!

Would come back

An excellent stay in Bali! We were very surprise to what we got for the price we paid. The staff we very helpful to our needs and questions. The pool was very nice and the rooftop lounge was great. Great selection of movies from your personal tv in your room. It was very clean and I would definitely stay here again!

Convenient location, cleanliness can be improved

Location was good as there are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Service was very good as the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, cleanliness can be improved. I found a few red and black ants on my bed during my 3 nights there. There were also slight stains on the bedsheets and towels.

Good value for money

Good value for money. It is a small room but it has every basic things that you need. Staff are nice and helpful. Breakfast is nice. A little far from Seminyak Square but there are good restaurants and spas nearby.
