We loved staying here, it was quiet and the Miraflores neighborhood made us feel very safe even going out at night. The bed was comfortable, the housekeeper/cook was wonderful, the breakfast was a great way to start the day, the room was cleaned daily, and the shower was great. But we do have to mention that there was a strong odor of mildew when we entered the room, which we discovered was coming from the mattress and especially the shade on the window. The AC didn't move any air at all and my SO spent the first couple of days with his nose and eyes constantly running due to the mold and mildew. When we checked the AC later it was so clogged it couldn't move air and the bathroom vent was very dirty. There was a fan on the desk because the AC was so tepid. Being us we opened the windows, vented the room, let some sun into it and by the third day we were fine. We weren't mad, we were in a very humid area after all, but those shades really needed a good cleaning or a spray with tea tree oil.

The staff were excellent and breakfast was fresh and served to you each day. The only issue was my room was damp and smelled mouldy. Lima is a humid city but there should be more done to keep that humidity out of the rooms.

There was a lot of mold in our room. The staff clearly knew about it because there was a dehumidifier right under the part of the ceiling where it was. It was so humid all of our clothes were wet the next morning. We slept with the windows open because of the strong mold smell. The staff couldn’t do anything until the next day. The staff are so accommodating and kind. We arrived late at night and had to leave very early before breakfast began. The staff prepared us a take away breakfast that was waiting for us in the lobby when we left. The room was clean and modern. The beds were comfortable. We had a brief but lovely stay.

There is breakfast included with our booking and they pack the most thoughtful bagged breakfast upon request! Parts of the hotel is worn down and weathered, chipped paints, uneven floor tiles; some touch up is needed. Overall, it is as advertised with most welcoming staffs.

The Lot was an incredible stay. Traveling as a solo woman they were quick to respond and so helpful arranging any transport that I needed. My room was so comfortable and the air conditioner worked great. The water pressure was wonderful too. Their breakfast was just what I needed before a day of traveling.
I also loved the location as I was able to run along the Malcon very easily.

Limited / nonexistent management at hotel
We did not feel the hotel had adequate staff, services, or security for us to stay in the hotel, so we ultimately did not stay at this hotel. We arrived and the reception did not understand proper check in protocol and had limited understanding of the hotel, especially with regards to not knowing our key code to our room door and the appropriate key to the front door. After this, reception told us we had the entire place to ourselves (indeed, nobody else had booked there). Wondering what we should do if there would be a problem getting in given lack of knowledge of the locks/keys and the front gate not locking, reception passed us on to another staff we had never met before via WhatsApp. Reception left while we went to eat, and when we returned there was nobody in the hotel. We did not feel safe or comfortable staying in the hotel so we switched hotels. The hotel may have previously been a fully functioning hotel but now it seems the management is limited / nonexistent. I would highly caution against staying here unless big changes are made.

Home away from home in Lima
We stayed two nights and yardt this as it home base to explore Lima. The staff was extremely helpful with everything, from booking rides to airport transfers to sight-seeing advice. The breakfasts were excellent, with a small buffet and choice of one cooked-to-order item. The location in Miraflores district was ideal.
Two fairly minor complaints - First, they have heat but no A/C, and it wasn't cold, so ambient humidity meant everything felt damp. I suspect this is a problem everywhere in Lima. Second, several of the electric outlet covers seen mis-aligned with the wiring - plenty of outlets, so not a huge deal, but frustrating.

Lima is a huge, noisy, congested city, and The Lot is an oasis in the Miraflores district. Beautifully designed, small hotel with a lovely staff and nice breakfast. The small patio is a nice place for a glass of wine or a coffee, a spot to read or go online while taking a break from the city. Easy walk to the Malecón for fresh air, or head inland toward Kennedy Park and the many little restaurants and bars nearby.

Loved this place! The only downside was that the house next door was doing some construction and we could hear from 10am-5pm the hammer. I’m usually never in the room at those times but my husband hurt his back while we were there so we would have to go rest at the hotel. Apart from that the service was great!

This is a really nice small hotel in a great location. There is heavy, very heavy, construction going on next door. Staying there for 4 days would not have been possible. They moved us to their newly opened hotel not far from this one and that hotel was excellent. Calima Boutique Hotel. I would stay at either again. Both are about 8 rooms with 24 hour service, excellent staff and great style. Check on construction status before you book.

I got a note about a week before our trip saying that The Lot was fully booked but they had another property for us to stay at - Calima Boutique Hotel. We were disappointed as my boyfriend had carefully chosen The Lot based on reviews and location, but it ended up being fine. Calima was very nice, clean, quiet, in a safe area.

I stayed there for a week long business trip. The room was very clean and wide. I enjoyed the quietness and the personal touches. Breakfast was a bit irregular in terms of start time and food choice, but the food quality was high and the service was friendly and accommodating.
