The staff was very friendly. We have stayed in other 5* hotels like Fairmont Dubai and compared to these hotel this hotel should be a 2-(3)* hotel. The room was clean but several things were not working in the room. The food in the Fish Restaurant was from good to to very bad. One dish was send out. It's clearly a hotel that focus on quantity of guests and not quality

The building is well maintained and renovated, my only issue really was the food quality.

Food quality in their main restaurant was not the best, breakfast options are limited / the quality is poor. Even though the dinner buffet is below average, the food was bland and lacked quality. Seems like cheap buffet food.

This is def not a 5 star hotel. I mean i love fairmont in general but this one was a major disappointment. BREAKFAST was absolutely horrible. The only good thing really was the spa, except also there was no ladies sauna.

Fair hotel, 3.5 or 4 stars,

My analysis of this hotel is on the basis of it claiming 5 star status. The hotel was decent, but not 5 star resort. It is a 3.5, possibly 4 star at best.

The staff was helpful and friendly. It seemed to be wonderful for families with children. Breakfast was fine and so was the dinner buffet.

I think the resort could do with an update or refresh, especially with competition like The Address and Inter Continental close.

The beach and water access area is very small. The vacationers upstairs kept rolling their chair across the floor.

There is a makeup mirror in the office desk but their is no light to do make up. Patio lounge chairs did not have cushions, nor were they in the closets.
Curtains had food stains.

The Hotel is fair but lacked the fully attention to detail or luxury amenities to be considered 5 stars.

Pros: Check in and check out was super fast. Rooms are spacious, clean and well decorated. The hotel is well maintained and in a good location.

Improvements

1. Basement Self Parking: Not enough parking spaces for basement self parking. You need more covered spaces for car parking. It was difficult to find a spot for self parking in the basement.

2. Adults Pool: I was expecting a bigger adults pool. It’s only 1.30m deep. Not big enough for a good swim.

3. Breakfast at Casa: I ordered a latte a few times and didn’t get it. You need more staff at Casa during breakfast. It gets really crowded in the morning and it’s a bit chaotic.

Dirty Hotel & Terrible Experience

The hotel was very dirty and very poorly maintained.
The adult pool looks terrible in a poor condition nothing compared to the website. Our bedroom windows and floor were not clean. The main corridors were dirty as well (food leftover, dirty tissue, dirty cotton buds in front of our bedroom entrance). The view from our hotel was facing the sea but also the unfinished construction of the residence next to the hotel. Overall experience was very bad and not matching the luxury resort feel expected.

There's no valet parking. Lockers near the pool didn't work. Beach was closed. There was no bubble bath arrangement even after asking. Breakfast included in the package was denied: As per the hotel, the information they received from the booking agent is room without breakfast. Even after we showed the confirmation e-mail from hotels.com that our room is with breakfast, they denied the breakfast to us saying that the guests need to resolve this matter with the agent. Hotel cannot provide the breakfast.

Great in every way. Only one mild complaint, the childrens pool was hot (more than just warm), I live in the country so understand that outside temperature does affect the pool temp but other hotels manage it even in pools with shallower waters.

In general , the location of the hotel and beach is perfect.
Staff are friendly in general .
The rooms needs renovation and bit is old.
Pool side services need to be reviewed as number staff are not enough.
Beach paid activities are expensive.
Breakfast is not WOW.

Super amazing stay

We stayed at the Fairmont Fujairah last week for our anniversary celebrations ..it definitely was one of the best staycations we have had in a while... The highlight of our stay has to be the team at the property to made sure we had a beautifully relaxed and wonderful stay..
Right from the reception staff, to the housekeeping team and the teams at the Immamai poolside lounge everyone was extremely hospitable and courteous.. You could feel the positive vibe from the staff who were friendly and courteous to all guests alike...
We had a terrace room, which was spacious and had lovely views...the breakfast spread at Canvas was amazing. Apart from the regular continental dishes, they had a good indian breakkie spread too which was great...
Special mention to the team of Robert, Mustafa, Jason and others at the Immamai who made our eveings delightful. Kudos !

My only issue was that I had specifically asked Hotels.com to ammend our resevation to include my 10 yr old on the resevation. The team member assured me it was not necessary as kids under 12 are free at the property. However at the hotel, we were informed that breakfast needed to be paid for him. We were quite embarassed on account of the error from hotels.com which was not appreciable.

The room was very good, however there’s was shortage in towels in the washrooms and we had to call many times to get them.
And took very long time to get our room due to the public holiday.
The resorts had a car pass with no speed bump and it’s just between to the kids club and the beach!

The hotel design feels more corporate than a resort. The pool closes at 7, the beach is not allowed after sunset. The adult pool is not great. There is nothing to do at night. The bar was even closed. Food prices are expensive. There are many other hotels in Fujairah that offer a much better service and facilities. I won’t go back there again.

Check in is at 3 pm. I arrived around 4:45 pm and they told me I had to wait another 30 mins for the room to be ready. One hour later and frustrated sitting in the lobby with face mask on and no welcome drink cuz of Covid-19 , when I just drove one and half to get here.

Hotel is very tired and in need of refurbishment. Good service and nice seafood/ steak restaurant with great food however hotel overall more 3* . beach is very dirty with dead fish everywhere so definitely not bad smells so I’d avoid if your a beach lover

We felt like they took the regulations and physical distancing requirements seriously. Special recommendation for Sameer at the Copper Lobster restaurant - he was amazingly helpful and made sure our dinner was just perfect

Food quality in Restaurants are poor and not enough staff (waiting for food more than one hour).
Hotel overcrowded in Restaurants (not enough tables for guests), Beach and Pool.
Not enough parking for cars. Cars will be directly in the sun next to the road without shade for you entire stay.
Expedia VIP Access should be removed as there are extra benefits in the Hotel for members.

Check in was a total disaster. We had two rooms booked. Got there at 1:30 pm and waited in line for an hour before we were served only to be told that the room was not ready but we were asked to go to the pool area have a drink and wait. Which we did and had to pay for the exorbitantly priced drinks ourselves . 3.5 hours later they called us and said the rooms were ready. Got back to the reception just to be tons that we had to wait a further 45 min. We spoke to the manager who didn’t compensate in any way or shape. But tons us that the error has been because of the fact that they got busy suddenly after the restrictions were eased.
On our final day we demanded a late check out which was reluctantly given after 20 min of arguments and getting the senior manager involved.
Besides this we had a great weekend. Will put them to the test again in the future

Very, very nice

My recent stay at the Fairmont in Fujairah was fantastic. Our poolside/seaside room with beach view from our balcony was a great spot to decompress, especially with the current coronavirus threat. The room was large and the bathroom very well done. We were able to enjoy ourselves, and still get great service and great food from the restaurants. The only issue (small issue) was that the USB outlets at the desk were not working. Otherwise, the hotel certainly lives up to its name and we look forward to our next visit.

The hotel has a lovely interior design.
The room was clean and the confort of the bed (in general) was perfect.
I can say that the hotel is new comparing to the others in Fujairah; but the difference between a 5* hotel and a 4 or 3 * is the details.
I waited one hour after the check-in time in order to get my room.
In my room, there is a balcony without any chairs or table.
I asked the reception and they bring me something dirty and not at a level of a 5*. The locker didn't work, somethings in bathroom were broken.
The breakfast buffet was very good.
For the dinner buffet, if you don't arrive in the first service, you will not find the quality of a 5*. Dessert bar, meat bar... were almost empty.
The deck chairs and beach umbrellas were dirty and broken.
The water of the biggest swimming pool was dirty and oily.
The music in the swimming pool was too loud.
In general a lack of staff and reception desk not at the level.

The hotel facilities are really good in terms of the pool, beach and outlets. The food at Canvas restaurants is really delicious for breakfast and dinner. The service is not up to the fairmont standards starting from the checking, the receptionist wasn’t really welcoming neither she tried to engage with us while checking us in. it looked like she doesn’t really want to do the job. The elevators for the hotel stopped working for more than 3 hours, consequently, guests on high floor couldn’t have access to their rooms. it was my first time to happen for me in. A 5 stars hotel, and it gives an indication about the hotel maintenance. Regardless of the issue, the hotel management team didn’t offer any other alternative or complimentary beverages while the guest is waiting for the elevators to be fixed. The team in the hotel has no knowledge about a proper service or customers loyalty. We asked one of the concierge to deliver one of our bags back to the room and we kept looking for the bag as the concierge decided to keep it without giving us any indication. We complained to the manager on the front desk and she tried to defend the situation rather than thinking of how to make the guest happy. My overall experience that I didn’t feel as a valued guest, we are not coming back and Fairmont has to clearly look into the style of management for this hotel as its hurting the brand!

The Fairmont never disappoints. I’ve stayed at several properties and this one is by far the best. Immaculately clean rooms & the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Not to mention the amazing view of the Persian Gulf. I highly recommend this property.

Liked the hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, family room & amneties were very good. Food - choice & quality was good. Lava pool was also good.

Some facilities were closed/ under maintenance.
The pool table at the Arena could have been maintained in a better way to match with the hotels stature.

Overall i would give it a positive rating and would recommend to others for a very peaceful getaway from the busy city life.

The property is clean and service is good. Problem is rooms are super noisy. I had to upgrade to a suite and pay more yet in the room I could hear 24 hours the AC engine eventhough I was 7th floor. Also the restaurant are not waw nor from a design or food. I would say average but for a 5 stars hotel below average.

Check-in was at 3, we had requested for early arrival at 1. They said it would be OK subject to availability, but they made it seem like the room would be ready. Due to unforeseen circumstances (traveling with a 4 month old baby) we were late, and only arrived at 4:30 (hour and a half after the regular check in time). We were shocked to find that our room was not ready. We had to wait in the welcome lounge for about half an hour with a screaming baby while they prepared the room for us.
Finally we arrived in the room only to find it was a partial ocean view, not full ocean view as we had booked it from hotels.com (and paid extra for). The front desk explained that there was no difference in their system, so I'm not sure whether the fault was with Fairmont or hotels.com.
In the evening we received a notice that there would be no late checkouts the next day as the hotel was fully booked. This was very disappointing, considering that we had to wait until 5pm (5 hours after normal checkout time) for our room to be ready - presumably because some other guests had had a late checkout that day. When we spoke to the front desk about it, they reluctantly granted us 1 additional hour only.
The breakfast was just average. The tables were a bit dirty and the selection was not that great compared to similar priced hotels.

Overall the price that we paid was not worth it.The check-in staff were rude and the customer service was not up to the mark. Very disappointed with the stay.

A beautiful hotel with incredible staff and a beautiful spa. Only disappointment was that there was very loud music playing all day at the outdoor lava pool area. If it’s a rest you’re after forget it! Also no poolside food and beverage service: I sat at the pool for two days and not one person came to offer me or other guests a drink. Fairmont you are missing out on potential food and beverage revenue! I challenge you to pick up your game. Disappointing for five star.
