Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell that the staff were unable to fix, forcing us to check out the next day. No effort was made to refund the remaining night. Overall, this hotel is not recommended.

To be on water , it is perfect. The set up is not for the extreme hot weather; I’d rather visit in a cool season. The service is great but I felt some of the people are not so nice; that could be just me but I was treated much better some other time and places. It was also very busy which I was expecting not. I still liked the set up and the beach front though. I also need to mention I booked couple of rooms and the staff upgraded one of the to a direct beach front and I loved the sound of breaking waves on the beach

Issues we have face as of a family of ( 1 baby and a toddler):
1. EXCELLENT hotel for a gateway with the family.
2. Service is very bad ( in room dining and cleaning(
3. You can smell the sewage odor in the bathroom
4. Our room didnt have a carpet, and after a fight and arguments they have transferred us the next day into another room with no carpet again :).
5. Receptionists to the management have a zero experience in how to organise heavy crowd during eid.
6. Ayo and most of rhe valet personnel were helpful only.

- nice beach, access to ocean (unfortunately it was too cold to swim at in January)
- hotel is very green (gardeners obviously doing a magnificent job - lots of trees and flowers everywhere)
- several restaurants on the territory with all kinds of food. We enjoyed “Al Majlis” the most: breakfast is standard, but diverse; dinner had lots of food variety (all tastes yummy and looks delicious) with different international theme every eve; even kitchen decor was changed every day from fascinating paper sculptures to gorgeous paintings (if I’m not mistaken - made by one of the chefs). Special thanks to Raghunath - kitchen staff manager and all his crew, who helped us organize my Mom’s surprise birthday dinner.
- both (open and inside) pools are specious and pleasant
- hotel rooms are nice, cleaned every day by very polite and professional staff. Special shout out to Joyce - our cleaning lady for being attentive and patient with my elderly parents.
- lots of entertainment in the hotel (we enjoyed yoga, aqua aerobics, beach volleyball…) - all lead by great animation team of international guys/girls
Cons:
- current construction of another hotel next to Miramar was noisy
- main walking paths of Miramar are made from big bricks, when some bins or suite cases get pulled on the bricks (sometimes at 5am) - the noise is very annoying
- there were some tiny ants in our room, even though we didn’t bring any food in

Really disappointed in our stay. Although the property was very beautiful and clean, the service itself was TERRIBLE and so slow. Literally took 45 minutes to serve too drinks. When we have feedback the staff were very unreceptive and inattentive. Would definitely not go back.

Super expensive relative to what you expect as a 5-stars hotel!
Food was bad whether in the morning buffet or La Cucina or Bahari Grill, cleanliness is terrible, staff are friendly but not up to the 5-stars customer service, very expensive.
I was offered a room that looks over a construction site on arrival, requested to change it and they helped with a better one.
No one from Hotel management checked up to see our feedback or if we are happy.

Room was not the same category as in pictures when I booked on the site. Hotel insisted we pay 1700AED more for two nights to get that room. (Ground floor room were pictured, but we could only get 2nd floor room) Overall stay was amazing. Great dive camp on hotel grounds

Great location, great service - everyone was very nice and attentive. Nice fruit basket upon arrival in the room. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The beach and pool are really nice just like as well, other amenities (eg spa) are a bit outdated but it was good to have a sauna/jacuzzi to relax after our dives/hikes.
The parking is a big mess though - if you do require to park I recommend doing it yourself and not use the valet. Also make sure you plan plenty of time for check out because there's some weird guideline about getting some sort of exit ticket first and the queues are ridiculous.
Property is a good value for money and would definitely come back.

Amazing stay - we will come again!

We had an amazing stay in Miramar. From welcoming until checking out, we just met very friendly staff, had wonderful stays at the high quality restaurants and enjoyed the very clean resort, beach and the comfortable room.
Our special wishes were handled quick and uncomplicated.
This showed us, that also the management of the hotel is working with high professionalism and is understanding how to motivate the staff.

We can highly recommend this Hotel and will definitely come again!

We booked the hotel to celebrate NYE and confirmed on call about gala dinner being organized. Checkedin ontime but gala dinner was already fully booked. Unlike other hotels in the area, those organize NYE gala dinner in a big lawn area, this was adjusted in a small restaurant. Being not so attractive dinner and covid season, we didnt mind ditching NYE party for good. But wish there was a clear communication during our call before booking.

We instead went ahead for a buffet dinner in their main restaurant and the food was really below standard. Some dishes were inadequately cooked and some hot dishes were being served cold. Menu selection appeared to be victim of over-creativity, with food combinations making less logical sense. Our lunch experience at beach restaurant has also been below standard.

Apart from this, hotel otherwise has been decent with a nice big pool, private beach, beautiful ambience and well managed property. I liked the spacious room layout and sea facing balcony. Hotel staff was especially quite caring, friendly and concerned about good experience of the guests which was fantastic.

Abysmal front desk check in/check out service

Check in and check out were both needlessly painful and unprofessional - not in keeping with the standard of this hotel. We were four guests checking into two rooms. On check in, I found my wife and friends had been forgotten about in the lounge while I had gone to park the car. The lady who checked me in seemed new and had to call her manager for literally everything. She didn’t even acknowledge my gold status with over 140 nights stayed in hotel over the past year. She demanded our IDs, but meanwhile it was the front desk that had sent everyone away. I understand COVID rules - then please go to the lounge to collect IDs and explain the special check in procedures to guests. Don’t leave people waiting and confused... Check out was equally absurd and confused by the ladies behind the front desk. Only upon going outside to get my car was I notified by the kind gentleman sweating in the heat that I needed a card from reception to release my car. I went back inside to get this card, at which point they told me I would have to now wait until they could check the mini bar. I found this laughable, as due to COVID, the mini bar is only stocked on request. How on earth are they going to go check an empty mini bar??!?! Any why was this not done while I was checking out? Please train your people and put some warm and intelligent hospitality experts behind the front desk.
If it wasn’t for the above, I would absolutely stay in the hotel based solely on its beauty. Such a shame!

Hotel is nice buy old a bit needs new decoration in my opinion been there more than 6 years ago and still looks exactly the same. Beach ⛱ is one of the best compared to neighbouring hotels. Kids activities are limiged would've loved more entertainment for kids. Prices of restaurants are extrememly high and there is only breakfast bouffet and an italian restaurant which wasnt that great (only burgers were yummy) rest are less than normal. The grill restaurant was very expensive. Overall our stay was pleasant nothjng major, staff are nice and cooperative, cleaning is good as well.

I was a horrible, when we arrived after long road trip we went to our room , we hang do not disturb sign and just we slept then someone keep knocking the door till we open then it was fruits plat, my daughter wake up and she couldn’t sleep . We were very tired so we lost the day and early at evening we couldn’t sleep till mid nightBecause the water was leaking from the ceiling and the AC not probably working so we call 0 for help ... and so and so.
I think I will not go there again

The best holiday I had this year, it is a great resort, the staff are really very kind and helpful, thanks to “Habeeb”. The restourant are with different cousin, if you want to have a great evening in a nice place facing the beach, I recommend for you the Bahri Grill restourant, it is sea food restourant.
The room is clean and mine was facing the swimming pool.

I stayed 2 nights at Miramar just a week or 2 after UAE restrictions were lifted to dive with Divers Down which is attached to the hotel.
Whilst some hotel facilities and restaurants were not yet open, the facilities that were open were of a very high standard. The food in the Italian was superb and we also had a great lunch at the beach side diner.
The staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. Everyone was working under trying circumstances with social distancing and additional health measures in place but they couldn't have been more polite and accommodating under any circumstance.
It is a place I look forward to returning to on a regular basis during my time living in UAE.

We booked 1 night at Miramar only as we were wary about measures around Covid-19. Check in procedure felt safe but as soon as we passed the entrance, no guests were wearing a mask. Moreover, as occupancy was limited (30%), it was compulsory to make bookings for lunch and dinners. Unfortunately, it was fully booked out for both, which was disappointing.

At first glance the property looked nice and reception staff were friendly. However, our experience with our room(s) was very disappointing, and we had to change rooms at 5am due to unacceptable conditions. The hotel staff was trying to make things up to us the next morning when we were due to check out by offering us late checkout, but all in all I don't think we will be staying here again.

This is our second time here and overall it is fantastic...we will be staying here again. It's very conveinient for diving and the dining is excellent. We ate at the Sensasia restaraunt and it was wonderful, with fantastic service. We stayed in the family room with ocean view and the sunrise was perfect, and a great way to wake up and start the day.
Just a couple minor issues...I had made dinner reservations for the Sensasia through the website but did not get a response. Not a big problem since I made reservations through guest services on arrival. Also, the room description on Hotels.com states that this room has pay movies and video game consoles, but room actually does not have either.

Really enjoyed dining at La Cucina... both food and staff were excellent there! Food and staff at other dining locations was disappointing. I chose this hotel as the dive operator I use is based at the same location, however, I will likely go back to staying at one of the other local hotels in walking distance next time as dining options are more consistent.

reception is horribly rude, oriented on russian, so if you are european make sure to wear a t shirt I'm not Russian. Animation is a joke, as if your kid does not speak russian no animation for him, you need to sign for each cocktail and glass of water as if you are borrowing a diamond necklace for the evening.
Bring your own adaptor for the UK type of power plug, as the one that hotel gave me was old and actually burnt down my Macbook power cable, so i have to go and buy a new one. Russian oriented services come along with rude soviet style attitude.... Would not recommend if you come from Western Europe at all......

A really nice break from Dubai

We really liked the property and the water was just the best. Very hot in the UAE this time of year so being outside was tough, but the beach was really nice. Fantastic staff. If I have one complaint, it is that they \"upgraded\" us to a family room. I had requested 2 beds (It was my son and myself). The family room was nice, but only one bed and a couch that didn't convert to a bed. I did not say anything to the hotel, so I don't know how they would have dealt with this. Over all, an excellent stay. We will come back again.

Hotel was great . Location is great . Facilities is bit old , like inside the room wall is bit dirty . The bed is clean , but bathroom is not that clean . corners are super dirty . I stay in room 1141 , bedside cabinets corners are super dirty ,garbage / hair and other wastes at least more than months did not clean. The Mobile Data signal in hotel its not that great ,so u need to use WIFI , but Unfortunately WIFI Signal worse than Mobile Data signal and speed is super slow .

I do feel the issue with early morning \"lounger bagging \" should be addressed somehow by somebody.
Particularly the beach loungers, towels are placed on the loungers before breakfast and very often returned to several hours later . Not on!
If it were to be repeated the next time I stay at the Mirramar I would launch a formal objection with the pool guys to do something about it or remove them myself.
Apart from that a lovely relaxing stay.

Overall this was a great hotel with amazing views of the local mountains. There was one thing that let them down which was poor wifi. Kept dropping out or not connecting.

Nice Pool Clean Hotel but penny pinching customers

It is considered a 5 Star hotel - but to be honest I did not feel it is a 5 star.
For example each room gets only 2 towels, even if you request for more you have to give them the 2 used ones.
When you ask for more than 2, they throw in your face, \"sorry sir - it's hotel policy\". Forget the fact your chose their facility and actively spending your money.

The fun begins at checkin as well - They give you 2 plastic towel cards and they instruct you - that you can only get 2 beach towels- if you lose the cards they will you charge you for them...

Dont bother using the \"Do not Disturb\" Sign - Room Service will still knock rudely till you answer and ask if you need your room cleaned...psst dont ask for an exrtra towel that will throw them in a fit..

WIFI is restricted to only 2 devices..and doesnt work on the beach area...and the final punch in the gut - was as your swimming there are literally 3 fishing boats 100m away spewing their gas smell from their engines right at ya...

avoid this hotel...they don't SPOIL you...not a 5 star. 2.5 in reality.

PS Forgot to mention - they have a Ukrainian singing duo with a Moroccan presenters...horrible act..The presenters walk around joking and laughing as if it was their hangout at the nearest street corner..un-professional!
They at times grab the microphone and rudely interrupt the song and add their own tune to the mix..and giggle and laugh to each other like schoolgirls.. sad really sad..

don't book this hotel your loss it was mine!

This place is a jewel. The resort is beautiful, service and food is excellent, beach and pool both exquisite, and excellent amenities with indoor pool and gym. I would definitely recommend it to people and plan to go back. Note the weekends are busier (and a little less quiet due to families) than weekdays. If you want a quiet calm place then go during the week.

Great resort

Overall experience was great. Hotel has very nice \"arabic\" themed architecture. Room was of a good size and in excellent condition. Facilities were great, and the staff very friendly.

I stayed at the hotel with my wife.
The resort is quite good,the swimming pool and the beach are perfect.
The service at the hotel isnt bad,
But i was quite disappointed with the waiters,their service is really slow and at the resort they have entertainment activities at night.
The reception at the lobby told us it was at 10:45 pm so we left to our room and came back at 10:45 to find out that the show was already done with and that they had the show earlier only because they expected no guests to come at 10:45.

As well the toilet has a really bad sewerage smell which wasnt pleasant.

Nice resort for the family - but needs attention!

Actually this is a decent resort, and if you can get the best rates inc. breakfast, and for some rates all inclusive, it's a good place: safe, clean, great beach and passable restaurants.

The consistent issue is attention to detail. The checkin was a nightmare which took an hour. This has not changed from last year when I stayed here, so the management issue has not been resolved with this, and it made that clear on my checkout. For example, checkin did not include even a basic introduction to the hotel facilities, and I was left to find my own room in a complex place. For the star rating, this is not acceptable. No apology or explanation from the management.

A nice getaway from the city.

A very nice stay outside of Dubai and to get away from the city. This is not just a hotel, its a full resort. Nice beach and services. We very much enjoyed our stay and our experience had no complaints. Everything we pretty clean, just seemed like there have been a lot of traffic through our room but it was modern and the bathroom was very clean with fresh towels. Nice pool too and the restaurant we excellent actually, with the exception of the pizza, everything else that we ordered was tops.

Ramadan Escape

Very happy with the overall experience at the hotel. What was a spontaneous weekend get away turned into exactly what I wanted, a relaxing, chilled, no stress weekend get away. Great service, get food (excellent choice at the breakfast buffet), great surroundings, there really i'snt anything that i could complain about - an excellent city escape, should you ever need to get away from Dubai/Abu Dhabi etc.

This is not my first visit to Miramar, however this time it was a brilliantly different since new activities for kids were launched which wew not there in earlier time:
1- Kids movie: my kids enjoyed the cinima a lot, new carton movies need to be considered though
2- Kids disco: the show was great followed by games and ennded by great comedy plays, the team was hilarious and we kept on laughing till next day. Dino and Alex were excellent, they are really talented.
3- Kids water activities, my kids have been dragged and enjoyed participation a lot.

I had to extend my stay to 4 days because we all enjoyed.

Perfect getaway

A lovely hotel with an amazing large pool and first class service from the moment you check in to the moment you check out. The restaurants are expensive but room service prices are more reasonable and there is a good selection of food available. Great views of the mountains and not overly crowded so will definitely visit again.

My experience at Miramar resort al aqah.

The service is a bit slow, not enough staff in my opinion. Breakfast is a disaster, too many people for one food bank, they need to have two banks and alot more staff, as well, it is left to the clients to search for a cleaned tanle.

Staff very friendly

The staff were very friendly, willing to help all the time. The pool was good too, played water polo with other people and it was fun and cool. I also loved the Arabian atmosphere and feel of the hotel. Very different and nice.

We went for the dive center.

We spent 3 days at this resort. My sons had a great time learning to scuba dive. I enjoyed the spa services, the beach and the pool. The hotel is well kept and has a family atmosphere. They did not provide enough water and the in room refrigerator did not work. The resort is isolated and the restaurants are pricy, but the food was good, especially at the Asian restaurant. You pay hotel prices for snacks and soft drinks and the hotel is the only place to get them unless you drive back to town,

Idyllic Miramar

I have stayed in many hotels during my lifetime but this hotel is by far the best for a family getaway.
