This was a very nice hotel. Staff was excellent. It was my wife's 60 birthday and the staff came down and sung happy birthday with a balloon. Room was awesome. Hot tub and pool were very clean and warm. We had a great time and will be back.

The best breakfast bar around ! Just want to mention one bad thing. When we first got into out room there was a very strong sewer odor coming out of the bathroom. The toilet looked & worked fine & the shower worked & drained fine. the odor seemed to disappear after 15 minutes & never smelled again. I told the fron t desk about it at check-out,

the rooms needed alot of work yet, carpets need to be replaced in rooms. we needed to put towels down on floor in areas especially to put our cpap machine and oxygen concentrator on so the tubing would not touch the poor carpets. we asked for extension cord since there weren't plugs on both sides of bed. The night desk clerk was fantastic and helpfull the day staff was good. We checked out 3 days early and the manager gave us our money back for the balance of the stay. We heard they had upgraded since out last stay a few years ago. were disappointed.

We were promised a no smoking facility. People in the room next door were smoking marijuana and making a lot of noise for 1/2 an hour at 11:30 pm. I don't care for the illegal drugs but don't care that it's what they were smoking. Smoking is smoking and shouldn't have been allowed. That is the point of NO SMOKING. They should have taken it outside. Also, we were promised a pet free facility. Two different dogs were in the hall not on a leash with their owners talking to the front desk staff. My husband is allergic. It's why we chose the hotel. Front desk staff was ambivalent when we complained. By all rights, we didn't get what we paid for [bargained for consideration] and should receive a refund for at least one of the 2 nights.

Brenda at the front desk is wonderful! We had to check in early due to a wedding moving up their ceremony time. There were no issues to get into our room 3 hours early. Clean, fresh linens, bed was super comfortable. The pool and hot tub being open so late was very nice.
The dressers in the rooms could use an update but other than that it was a great stay!

Very clean and friendly staff, they even went out of their way and made sure I had a recliner in our room because I just had Shoulder Rotor cuff surgery and I couldn’t sleep laying down. They was always checking on us making sure we was ok and if we needed anything.. we will definitely stay there again next time we are in that area

They were nice and friendly. very helpful. Our only complaint was our tub did not drain so if you took a shower, you were in standing water, my husband tried to fix it and could not. The shower head was corroded, and water sprayed ever were. When you tell them I am sorry we will let maintenance know. How about a discount?

Fantastic hotel and 5 star staff. I had 3 rooms here for my sons wedding over the weekend and all of 7 of us (5 adults and 2 kids) were extremely happy with everything. The rooms were spotless. The hotel staff were always cleaning all hours of the day & night. Wheather it was their entry way, the floors or the leaves outside. The swimming pool was big, and the pool area even had A/C so it was not hot and stuffy in there. The breakfast was perfect, with lots of choices, even the bar tender was amazing and kept our night going. Freah coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24/7. We didnt want to leave.

The hotel has a great potential, but someone needs to invest some time into repairing the issues. The vents in the restroom are disgusting. The counter behind the toilet prevents you from lifting the lid completely and the shower curtain rod needs to be repaired. Blood stain in the sheet..

Outdated and Dirty Rooms

The room floor was dirty and sticky and the bathroom had mold and rust on the walls, ceiling, and fixtures. The room smelled old and musty. The window faced a brick wall 3 feet away with trashcans. A/C unit was old and loud. Bedding was extremely rough as well. If you aren't out of bed early in the morning when they try to clean your room, it doesn't get cleaned that day at all. Poor maintenance and not a comfortable stay.

Pleasantly Surprised

The staff was very pleasant & friendly. They greeted us each time they saw us. There are a few rooms that face back of the building where A/C units are located. The other side has no other windows so our view was completely private from that perspective, so I’m not mad about having no view as most of the time I close the drapes anyhow. On this trip, we were able keep them open to let the natural light into room. The hotel and rooms were clean and appeared to have been updated with paint and soft goods. The pool, hot tub and sauna were highlight of our stay. After a day of hiking and visit to The Wilds, the hot tub was a treat for the adults and pool was loved by the kids! The free breakfast is continental breakfast, but the staff keeps the area clean and well stocked. My kids loved the hot waffles. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised (and grateful) for the good tasting coffee too. The hotel is easy to access from the highway. Its proximity to so many restaurants makes this hotel a good choice after a long day on the ohio by-ways and highways.

Our house was flooded and we had needed to stay somewhere local for the night. My daughter and I booked this hotel room on Expedia. I always thought this hotel was a nicer place but quickly found that it was more of a death trap…

In general it was clean and the workers were very nice and polite. Unfortunately it was so noisy all night with people and noises from the showers that I could barely get any sleep. The breakfast was about as generic as it comes. If you like cereal or Jimmy Dean sausages that Dan don't warm up well in the microwave and this place is for you…

My biggest complaint was how cheap and unsafe the room was. There was a wall mounted between the two beds that was made out of base board. I got up in the morning and put my right hand on it to guide myself to get up and it collapsed. It hit my arm Twisting it and nearly breaking it. It landed on my foot injuring my foot. I was astonished to see that this 30 pound desk structure was held up by two screws and glue. If it was a woman that has happened to it could've broke her foot or leg. I was appalled that they did this so cheaply putting peoples health in danger.

I filled out an accident report and the front desk lady was very nice but of course there was no manager on duty. When I got back to my office I called Expedia, they called the manager and she refused to give me any kind of discount. Thankfully Expedia backed up they promised to protect me as their customer and gave me a full refund for the hotel.

Very disappointed in our stay. I will say The staff was very friendly upon check in (and when I had called to cancel a room last week). The room is what we expected. However, the pool was closed (totally drained) which was not listed anywhere on the website nor was communicated to us at any point before our arrival. The pool was one of the main reasons I booked this specific hotel. Also, there was no hot breakfast as advertised (Another reason I booked this hotel). The only way we found out that these two ammenities were not included (although the price was not adjusted at all for this) was small printed signs in the lobby. My children were very disappointed to not be able to sell and I had to make other arrangements for breakfast last minute. I think the price should be decreased if two major amenities will not be included.

My wife and I stayed one night as part of an extended weekend trip! The indoor pool and workout rooms were closed dow. The room was hot and stuffy and the A/C was broken. The only window in our room did not open and even if it did open, it would have opened to the closed pool area and not outside air! But the worst part was the noise! They played loud thumping music and the halls sounded like I was sleeping in a high school cafeteria! The loud noise from whatever party they were having, kept us awake until 2 AM! Then at 6:30 AM the loud talking and laughing started again and we were awake! One of my worst experiences ever at any hotel and we are experienced travelers! We would have slept better in our car in the parking lot! I recommend you avoid this place if your reason for getting a room is that you want to sleep!

Upon arrival and checking in, we had to wait for the young girl to come out from behind the corner and when she came out she had a mouth full of food. We got to our room and the whole hallway smelled of marijuana so we went back and asked to be moved. The second floor was better, however the room was not cleaned as it should be. Hair stuck all over the shower wall, dried urine all over the toilet, built up water in the bottom of the fridge.
Came downstairs to ask the evening lady about why the pool was closed because when i called to ask about the pool before i reserved i was told that the pool was open. The older lady blondish hair wearing a very unprofessional short black dress came from the back on her cell phone and you could tell it was a personal call held the phone to her ear the whole time i was trying to talk to her. She did this several times during our stay when i was trying to ask her things.
This staff to say the least needs some training. Because the hotel has great potential .

Our hotel stay included breakfast but it was not at all what we expected. Breakfast was a cookie, a muffin and a granola bar. My husband is a diabetic so he couldn't have any of those items. How hard would it have been to have a boiled egg? I paid for a Diet Pepsi but when looking at the drinks available, all of them were sugar. I got my money reimbursed. One of the reasons we chose Schoenbrunn Inn was because they had an indoor pool. We were told that it wasn't open and neither was the workout room. I was denied a reduction in price for their lack of amenities.

Put stuff in the room and then went out. Came back and checked the mattress out before bed. Mattress was disgusting. There were bugs, hair, stains and food. Floor was not vacuumed and air conditioner did not get cold. The chair in the front room (we were in a suite) was also broken. We immediately packed up and left after seeing the bugs and condition of mattress. Dillon at the front desk was very understanding and apologetic and called other hotels for availability.

Got the Same Amenities if I Slept in my Car

The pool was closed, fitness center was close, the bar was closing when I got there at around 530 pm. There was black stuff on the toilet seat, unidentifiable. Someone was showering in the room next to me and it sounded like they was in my bathroom. No breakfast, they gave me a sax, blueberry muffin and a water. All the other hotels in this area are back to serving breakfast.

Expedia Reservation Confirmation # was not honored by the Schoenbrunn Inn. Desk Clerk ignored us when we arrived at the desk and we rang the bell although we were less than15 feet away from her. Then we were told they had no more rooms and she refused to call other hotels to check their availability. Manager told her not to call her at home. They are not members of the BBB. They are members of local Chamber of Commerce.

It looks like a well-cared-for property. it was quite busy during our stay with a wedding & another group on site. Our room was not quiet and the noise levels from the first floor echoed up to our room. In addition, noise from neighboring rooms came through poorly insulated walls. The breakfast was \"paper bag\" style ... unfortunately there was no diabetic option. An apple or banana would have been great. I was left with a \"coffee only\" breakfast. Not a great way to begin my day. The muffin, as well as the granola bar in the bag, were both loaded with sugar. This was not an acceptable offering for the many of us who have diabetes. Lack of restful sleep combined with no breakfast made be a very grumpy morning guest.

Very friendly welcoming staff. Updates were noted; White - orange, which gave a very sunny warm feel to the hotel. However-the signage (brown) outside didn’t reflect inside vibe and didn’t stand out in the dark. Although breakfast was brown bag, thoughtfulness toward fresh large cheese muffin was appreciated as was the coffee. Pool unfortunately was not open-staff shortage.

We arrived at the hotel @ 5:45 pm only to find out their pool and hit tub had no water in them and was told our room wasn't ready yet. Check in was at 3 pm and our room still wasn't ready.....no discounts offered for the inconvenience, nothing! 3 hours after check in and theybhad a lobby full of people still waiting for their rooms...we left

Only stayed for one night. It was very clean and very presentable. Had a King room that was very spacious. Bed was a little on the firm side but bearable. My only complaint is the pool was not open and we were looking forward to being able to relax in the pool. Wasnt able to take advantage of breakfast but I think per the sign at the front desk they were only offering to-go muffins. I think qll of that should have been on their website because these both were reasons I chose this hotel. I would definitely stay again. Wish the parking lot had a little more lighting though

After booking a room at this hotel, they would not honor the reservation due to overbooking as 4 rooms were out of service. It is irresponsible to not inform booking partners like Expedia when people are booking and counting on a room.
