Front desk staff was excellent. Friendly and conversational. Made a great recommendation for dinner. Room needs TLC. Primarily clean but cob webs on ceiling and around high fixtures. Window has a literal bullet hole in the first pane and the patch job just made it look worse. Fan on unit would not stay on to help with noise, which was high. Constant creeping from the unit above us, which seemed really odd for a concrete structure. Saturday night guests were incredibly loud in the lobby area at 2am and it took over 30 minutes staff to clear them out. Sunday morning, went to eat breakfast at 8am to be told it would be at least 30 minutes for eggs, bacon, etc. to be replenished. Honestly disappointed in our overall experience as it was not up to the standard of other Holiday Inn Express' we have stayed at.

Their pool and gym are being remodeled and are NOT open. There's no notice of this before you make reservation. The breakfast bar was out of milk on Saturday & would not be replenished until Tuesday despite a walmart next door so no cereal, boiled eggs or yogurt. Only available items were the not so great hot items. Pancake station...also down. Lots of daytime construction on our floor.

Overall, not a very restful stay. Children running the halls and slamming doors and the TV wouldnt work about 75% of the time to even try to drown out the noise. Honestly thought about checking out after the 2nd night.

It looks like its going to be a great stay upon arrival. It has the potential to be great. Check in was good, employees were helpful. However the room wasn't very clean. The pull out mattress had a visible stain on the sheets, finger prints all over the mirror, dirt all over the floor when you walk in and the plumbing situation was terrible. Slow draining tub and toilet. Pool was great, breakfast was terrible. The pancake machine was down, the juice machines pumped out water, cinnamon rolls were still frozen, no milk for cereal. We stayed in 4 hotels during our trip, and this one we paid the most for and 2 of the less expensive ones were better

Room had crumbs on carpet and on swivel chair. Lights didn't work in bathroom. Told front desk there's no light in bathroom. But maintenance was already gone at 3:30pm. We got a different room. Front desk person must have been new because she struggled with our check in and room change for over 20 minutes. We were tired and just wanted to rest. Then she had a problem with the card and was charging not only the security deposit on top of room charge, but an additional $40- something that she couldn't explain. Which I had to put on a different card because she said it wasn't taking my card on file for any additional charges, despite there being over $900 in the bank. Loud construction noises til night. The next day at breakfast, the pancake machine was broken....now the 6th time in 3 years that I have stayed here. And that was the sole reason I chose holiday in. I could have stayed at Wingate but pay it an extra $40 just to have the pancakes, that's how much I love them. But no pancakes again. And then it was taking a long time for items to be replenished like the bacon, eggs, and sausage gravy and biscuits. So a lot of waiting around for that. The breakfast attendant and also someone over at the front desk that morning were in dirty sweatpants and sweatshirt attire. It looks like something you would clean your house in but never go out in public in. I don't know how that is considered professional looking at a hotel. Corporate needs to check in on these small town hotels.👎 2⭐

Chunks of carpet missing in hallway. The room couch was just covered in stains. Wood peeling off the shelves and other areas. Tiles not secure to wall in bathroom and hair and other various dirt in bathroom corners. Blinds broken. Overall pretty laughable to charge 100+ a night for such a jank room.

1. Room was less than average. Ceiling in the BR was spotted with something pink as were the walls around the sink. The ceiling also had an open place where the dry wall tape from a repair that did not hold. We asked if we could change rooms, but were not accommodated. 2.Breakfast foods were unappetizing: bacon appeared raw, juice glasses were stuck together and could not be separated.
3. $25 was placed on “hold” for misc. costs, which were not incurred. In addition to that, an additional $35 was charged to our credit card the day we checked out. I also questioned a buzzing noise coming from behind a door on the 2nd floor near our room. The first person listened but did not know what it was. When I told the Asst. Manager, I was told that the noise was coming from their computer/systems room. She also stated it had been reported several months ago but no one has been available to repair it. The ice machine on the second floor, which was broken, was also unitedly. We would not stay here again. I was told that the fourth floor had been renovated so I asked if we could be assigned a room on that floor. My request was not addressed.

It looked like a party happened before we arrived in the room. The people in the lobby are very friendly. The cleaning staff didn’t clean the rooms well. Behind the bed there is a lot of dirt not only in this room but in other rooms we stayed in in this hotel. Above the lights if you run your fingers on it the dust flies. In this room there was candy and party toys under the bed. Cup cake icing smashed behind the door between the dresser and stand there was dirt and trash.

Room was small and dark, could not open window shade as it was broken. Carpet was full of stains and had not been vacuumed as there was debris on the carpet. Room 214 was right next to elevator so it was very loud. Barking dog in room next door. Breakfast was terrible , food was not refilled and pancake maker was broken as was the water dispenser on juice machine. Hotel is under renovation as had construction workers staying in the hotel and eating at the breakfast each morning. When I checked in I was told since I used a third party to book I was responsible for all incidentals and therefore no water bottles were provided in the room.

Stay was good but there were a couple of things we were not made aware of. The pool was closed our entire visit due to maintenance. They were short staffed so it took a few to get somebody at the front desk however even with all that, staff was extremely nice and helpful. Made us aware of the refundable incidental fee since we booked with Expedia.

Only complaint is the room temperature says its handle on the wall but it did nothing. Breakfast was good, it's basic and their pancake machine was broken.

We specifically booked Holiday Inn because of the indoor pool. The breakfast was a bonus...however, both mornings there wasn't much for offerings at breakfast - no yogurt, no pancakes, the hot food was mostly gone with an hour still left of breakfast. There was also no chocolate milk or whole milk (normally those are also offered).
But, the worst part was that the pool and hot tub were closed. With a high energy child and cold weather, we were counting on the pool for an energy release. The front desk attendant only offered multiple times to cancel my registration and she did say she was sorry.

This is where we typically stay when we visit family in the area. In the past we've enjoyed the breakfast, etc. This time, the breakfast selection was not as good. Very limited fruit, mostly high carb foods. The apple juice was water. And the cookies later in the day were on the edge of being burned (both evenings).

Came back to room @ 9:30 PM tired. Key would not work. Lock mechanism battery dead. Had to wait in lobby for an hour for a tech to come from home to fix it. No apology. No compensation. Shouldnt batteries be freshened on a schedule? Also. Drain in tub backs up so your feet are in dirty water. Toilet not secure to floor. Shower curtain ripped. This place caters to work crews, apparently. We were glad to get out of there.

It was a nightmare experience. They called me a few hours before i got there and told me expedia overbooked and i could not stay there. Then they changed my room and called to say i could stay there. When i got there, my room was horrible. The heating/cooling system did not work and there were dirty wet towels on the floor. The fire alarm was ripped out from the ceiling leaving a big hole there. There was a large live insect in the sink. Some parts of the room had not been cleaned. They said they would refund or discount and lied to expedia that they did not charge me but they had asked for another card and charged me $144.30 for this awful nightmare of a hotel room. I am still trying to resolve this problem but the hotel blocked my phone. I do not recoomend that anyone support this dysfunctional hotel.

I liked that the hotel was next to a Walmart for shopping purposes. I also liked that the hotel had a fitness room and pool. The food was good, I enjoyed my breakfast and I liked that they provided flavored water and free snacks in the lobby. The bed was clean and comfortable and the room itself was clean and spacious. Some of the furniture in the hotel may need to be replaced, especially in the lobby area.

Everything was fine accept for the beds and pillows. Both my husband and I woke up VERY sore and had to deal with neck cramps and tension headaches both days with kids due to the bed being hard as a rock and the pillows being way too soft. They also charged us a hidden deposit fee that was not stated when I called and asked them about it. We also had several guests try to go down to the pool through our room all day and very late at night as well. It made me have to stay awake to make sure no one got into the room with my sleeping children. Overall it's a very convient spot but be prepared for a rough day if you don't like sleeping on hard beds.

Breakfast was also the best of any of the hotels we stayed at our road trip with lots of protein options, also the yummy oatmeal packets for the kids, and eggs that looked like real eggs and little omelets.

The staff was friendly. Had breakfast the first morning and that was good. I liked the options. They did, however, stop it a few mins early. At least I was offered a tray to take back to the room. The mini fridge in the room was pretty noisey but it worked well. Temperature on the window unit and wall thermostat didn’t match. Bathtub was a bit slick. Tried to use the pool Saturday night but several people/kids were in there, so we did not. Gym was hot. I haven't gotten the $25 hold off of my account yet, so still waiting on that.

Our room was right by the lobby so we got to hear the late night check ins AND the loud early morning noises in the breakfast area (just outside our door).

Some of the furniture in the breakfast area needs attention; it's worn and dirty.

On the good side, the bed was comfortable and the sheets are really nice.

The only downsides were the condition of the bathroom, which only had one small towel bar and at least seven broken floor tiles, and the complete lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We could hear every single noise from our neighbor's room and bathroom, as if he was in the room with us.

We stay here regularly when visiting family. This time the room wasn't quite as up to par as usual. I accidentally requested a two-queen instead of a king...my mistake. But the shower drain stopper was broken so we couldn't adjust it and had to remove it. Also, the window shade chain clip was broken so it wouldn't hold the shade part way...it dropped down HARD whether you wanted it to or not.
The Greener Stay benefit of extra points is nice!
This hotel is still better than the Hampton down the road!
