Đô Thành Residence by DDH is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood that feels safe and relaxed, which was a real plus during our stay. It’s close enough to walk to food spots, cafés, and local areas, making it convenient without being noisy or touristy.

The hotel reception area is lovely and welcoming. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the coffee at breakfast was very good. Breakfast itself was okay but fairly limited in variety, so it’s fine for a short stay but not especially memorable.

Our room was clean but a little outdated. The city view was nice, however the bathroom felt quite old and there was visible mould, which detracted from the overall comfort and freshness of the room.

Facilities were a highlight — the pool, spa, and sauna were all good, well-maintained, and a great way to relax after walking around the city.

Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent staff, good amenities, and a peaceful location, but the rooms (particularly the bathrooms) could benefit from updating to better match the quality of the common areas.

The manager Kevin and his staff were absolutely amazing. From the cleaning staff to the breakfast servers, everyone was so friendly and attentive. Our room was very roomy with lots of cupboard space.. everything we could wish for. Would definitely go back.. a home away from home. Loved it!!

Apartment style living with two bedrooms, two baths. Master bedroom had an en suite. When I booked the property it was called Lavis 18 on Expedia. The name must’ve changed to Do Than Residence from the time I booked to the time of my arrival so that made it a little confusing.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The doorman/security helped us with our luggage. Housekeeping staff was also friendly. They brought us clean towels and toilet paper when we requested.I really have no complaints about the staff. There was a bit of a language barrier but that was to be expected as I don’t speak any Vietnamese. Google translate came in handy so it really wasn’t a problem in the end.

The breakfast/coffee area was small but was never crowded in the morning. The set menu consisted of about 6-7 choices and was edible but nothing to rave about. There are so many other food options in the surrounding area but having the ability to eat breakfast and coffee at the property made it a convenient way to start the day.

We booked a tour around HCMC through the hotel which I highly recommend doing. Our tour guide, Huong, was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. Lunch wasn’t included in the tour that we booked but our guide took us to a Michelin rated pho restaurant where we all had lunch.

The location of the property was a non-issue since booking a Grab taxi with the app was so easy and inexpensive. Overall, I would stay at this property again!

This hotel was not as nice as the pictures seem. The hallways are outdated and smell. The bathrooms have a mildew smell. The beds are very hard. We asked for a late check out and when we went to pay the extra fee they do not accept card. I would not stay here again, wishing we would have spent the extra money to stay somewhere else.

This is a nice hotel and the staff were polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the only thing that could have been improved was the mirror situation, there was no full frame mirror, just the ones in the bathroom where you couldn’t see below the waist.

Four of us stayed here for two nights based on my friend recommended. The hotel staff were great, the facility can do with a some touch on and the normal wears and tears. We got the two bedrooms. The bed was on the hard side for me so I had to sleep on my pillows in order for the beds to be bearable. My mom and the other relatives slept fine. The wiring is a little loose in my bedroom so my lamp kept going in and out at the desk table. The AC worked really well. There was basic amenities like water, tea, and coffees. Breakfast was also descent and the Vietnamese iced coffew was very good. My family liked the place and the pool was refreshing after a long day of running around. There is a massage place near and resonability priced.

Room was spacious and adequately furnished. Though a serviced apartment, crockeries , cooking utensils etc are kept for safety. Housekeeping will send to room if requested. My room faces the school, some disturbance on weekdays from 7am. But overall, i gotvused to it. Good sized fridge really good for storing snacks or fruits etc. Bed is comfy and shower room (though somewhat small), enjoy great shower. Overall, nice place to stay.

Classic charm in old Saigon

This is a nice little hotel in the Ban Co locality. Sandwiched between some very busy streets this area has many amenities and is very walkable with narrow streets and pathways. Parking is excellent and secure. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool but wasn’t tempted either…. High marks for cleanliness and calmness.

My family and I stayed here for 4 days, 2 out of the 4 days The Ac in the room did not work. When we reported the issue first day, they said it will be fix by the time we return to our room at night. It was not.
Also during check out they will charge you for little things like stains left on their towels, bedding and sheets.

I recently stayed at this hotel for several days during a solo trip, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel itself isn’t brand new, but the facilities are in good enough condition to be comfortable. However, I did notice that the duvet and pillows had a slight unpleasant smell, which was a minor inconvenience.

The staff were very kind and maintained a comfortable distance, which I appreciated. They weren’t overly friendly, but their professionalism and helpfulness made the stay enjoyable.

One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. There was a wide variety of options to choose from, including both local and Western styles, and everything I tried was delicious.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location within a local residential area. While there aren’t many options for dining or grocery shopping nearby, this wasn’t a significant issue for me as I wasn’t there for tourism. The peaceful surroundings were a nice change from more bustling areas.

Additionally, the hotel has a well-equipped and fully functional laundry facility, which was a big plus for me. It made my stay much more convenient, especially for a longer trip.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel for business travelers like myself. It offers a quiet, comfortable environment that is conducive to getting work done.

Dont stay even for 1 night.

A very run down hotel not up to 4star standard. Location is a bit out of the way for sightseeing in the city. Room sizes are ok, I have to ask staff to change bedsheets again as they didnt change bedsheet after previous guest. The hotel needs a renovation asap.

Firstly, the reception staff is most helpful and accommodating. The \"concierge\" was not so attentive though. The plants around the pools are crumbling compared to my initial visit about 2-3 years ago. The room was adequate but exposed to noises from the neighboring school, traffic, and other residents. However, noise disturbance is lesser on weekends and/or away outdoors during school hours. In a nutshell, I still recommend this property for the quaint surrounding and room but only for the right price.

Clean, comfortable, convenient. Decent pricing with a good location ( near buivien, district one and the Ben thanh market )

Friendly hotel staff that can speak decent amount of English, ( enough to hold a decent conversation )

Overall I feel that this is the hotel to book if you require your own kitchen and separate bedrooms with your traveling companion.

Only con is that the address is not very easy to find. However, as long as you book your taxi by grab or Uber, the GPS will easily guide the driver to the hotel

This is the nicest hotel in HCMC in my opinion. The room are very spacious and very clean. The staff is very helpful and some of them speak English. Here's a tip: Just don't ask for directions. They don't know where anything in the area is and they can't read maps. Other than that, this is a great place to stay and relax. This was my second time here and I'll come back again, for sure.

Stayed in a nice and clean studio apartment with decent space for 1 person.

Wished a more comfortable chair and working desk are arranged in the room. I had back ache working in this area and my knees kept knocking against the working desk.

At times, experiencing slow Wi-Fi and power down.

If some towels can be given in the kitchenette, this will be excellent.

Basic gym facilities which operates 24 hours. Sauna room available but not sure whether steam bath room is working.

Friendly and helpful hotel staff who can speak English.

I have stayed here two times over extended periods, and can recommend it. Newly refurbished, clean, and good service from friendly staff. Wifi works alright and the room had a washing machine. Beds are a bit hard. Neighborhood is very local and there is a big elementary school next door which may a little bit noisy.

We stayed 5 nights at this place and after seeing the review that it was a brand new hotel, we couldn't be more wrong! Firstly, the worst of all was there was NO HOT WATER for 2 days, in evenings there will be spotty hot water available, but after that, none in the morning / afternoon. This place is so secluded from the city so it'll be hard to get a cab etc. They had a washer, but no dryer?? there was also no where to dry your clothes like a laundry rack etc?! Didn't make sense to have a washer! Last, washer room has no windows, causing mosquitoes from the outside to come into the room everytime you open the door. If you want to maintain your sanity, DO NOT STAY here!!! Here are some photos that shows that hot water was turned off!

A home away from home

The hotel is spanking new and we stayed 3 nights in a studio deluxe apartment. It is equipped to the brim. We only need to buy detergent to wash the kitchen ware and clothing (washing machine is included). You will find good quality products by Samsung and Electrolux and even the ceramic dining ware is high grade. We could simply live a month without missing home! The staffs are conversant in English and very helpful and courteous. The hotel resides in a quaint neighborhood that is worth exploring if you are into nostalgia and see the true livelihood of the common Vietnamese. Distance to District 1 by car is a mere 15 minutes or less. The hotel always book Vinasun taxi if required.

Oasis in Saigon

Absolutely fabulous, cannot fault this place. It has only opened recently. The building is beautiful, the rooms immaculate, the staff are wonderful. It's in a perfect location in district 3, away from the madness of district 1, yet only $1.50 in a taxi to get there. The area is quiet and relaxed and still has the hustle bustle feel and windy streets with enough activity going on. The entire place is faultless and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Staff are awesome nice and speak god English, it's new building so hopefully they would last.
Building has super bad smell in the basement parking as well as inside the bathroom, it shouldn't be like that since it's new building,,, it's location so hard to find out even by Google map,,, the building is right next to kids school, if you looking for good sleep or relaxation time forget it here cause as early as 5AM the annoying super loud music and kids sound and their unbelievable teacher who holding the mic and speak super loud all day long would make your stay a night mare and the owner unfortunately did not bother him self to put sounds prove Windows, instead he installed super cheap windows even can not stop air coming from out side ...
The wi fi is another's nightmare, super slow and keep cut all day long...
They put loud music in the hallway so early in the morning I don't really get it why must put that music loud for no reason really ...

Sorry but honestly I can not never recommend this place for anybody ...

Trevligt och modernt hotell med bra taxiavstånd till de flesta sevärdheterna i staden. Rummet vi fick var stort men lite slitet. Framförallt badrummen kunde behöva en uppfräschning pga droppande kranar, etc. Rummet vi fick var avsett för 4 personer men köket innehöll bara porslin och bestick för 2 personer.

I bokningen så ingick frukost, tyvärr var denna en stor besvikelse. Ett fåtal rätter att välja på, oerhört små portioner och allt utöver detta kostade extra. Taktiken blev att en person åt sig mätt på det som erbjöds till 4 personer, övriga åt frukost på ett närliggande kafé.

Personalen för övrigt trevlig även om ambitionsnivån och språkkunskaperna varierade stort. Hotellet är ett bra alternativ om man vet förutsättningarna.
